Yea, I expect there will be some problems as they transition to the newer engine. Just unfortunate that in the process of doing so they will most likely bring over the existing bugs as well unless they catch and rectify them during the process. The crashes are pretty bad as is, so I can only imagine with the newer engine it is probably worse if they haven't already begun debugging and sorting out the current issues at hand.

yeah I asked in his discord. very nice guy. I didnt tame any creatures on the island so I never noticed the under foot smoke before. but good to know its the map. its interesting. and knowing its a visual thing as it doesnt seem to make much of a difference in game play. other than if I cant see a compy, I might see their smoke in the grass lol.

if you restart the server after the mod got updated then the server is now correct, you might have to reupdate your client once more but the annoying updating every time you log in will be gone. Until another mod updates 😛

I understand the rhynio nerf for pvp and i appreciate the number of fixes added to the game but what i am sick of is being a pve player and being treated like a second class citizen , pve is by far the majority of the player base and seeing they buff/nerf dinos based off of only pvp is the most shitty way to say "yeah we dont care about pve, what about it? lmao" , this game would die without the pve community and they know it yet they still treat us like garbage.
The servers are ran by monkeys on cocaine. They constantly crash and that resets decay timers. I still see abandoned thatch bases that are there FROM DAY ONE because the servers cannot stay up for more than 3-4days for them to decay naturally, therefore take up space and spawns.
Not to even mention the caps , building cap halved(can't build a cool looking base cause of cap, have to stick to basic Bob box) , server dino cap probably halved along with the halving of tribe cap, now that servers reached caps because people buy multiple accounts and make different allied tribes in "inflate" their dino caps , so you basically have one dude or a group of people with 2-3 different accounts/tribes with 250 dinos each, no fucking wonder we reached caps so fast (and yes this is a thing) , you think they will cryo their stuff? hell no. They also said they won't release cryos till extinction to give us that prime ark experience, well guess what they releasing them now because we capped on almost every server, new people that tamed like 10-20 creatures are giving up on the game because in a game about taming and raising dinos YOU CANT DO IT, and dont start telling me " just play singleplayer or unofficial bro" thats not a good argument for how shitty they have handled everything so far, they are literally trying to put a "get well" sticker on a fucking gunshot wound to the head. Cryos will maybe reduce the cap for like a month or two then its back to the same shit all over again. You think releasing new maps will put less stress on caps? People will just keep taming until they cap on one map and move to the next.

Anyone having issues with Megalosaurus spawns on ASA? There's only ever been 1 spawning in the Central Cave (Artifact of the Clever) at any given time. Also got this in Game.ini DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Megalosaurus,SpawnWeightMultiplier=10,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=0.75), which if correctly done, then shouldn't I be getting more than 1 per map?

Yeah I've not seen any elsewhere, and have had no more than 1 spawn. Granted using a dino finder mod, so installed another one to check, but still only showing the 1.

I may change the line to: DinoSpawnWeightMultipliers=(DinoNameTag=Megalosaurus,SpawnWeightMultiplier=32,OverrideSpawnLimitPercentage=true,SpawnLimitPercentage=15)

Which would be ridiculous, but if none still spawn then there's definitely an issue.

I don't see the need for the 'storage release' of cryo instead of just releasing the whole system. It would have taken them more work to re-code the cryo system with distance to cryo fridge, release limitation etc than just releasing it with exactly the same limitations as on ASE and on all of the already working ASA cryo-mods..

I think that they just wasted time working on the new cryo system changes that nobody wants when they could have had those members of their team working on bug fixes and dlc content...
