Crossbow has better torpor gain over time, but darts are better for instant torpor damage, and they do more torpor on hit to compensate.

It's a good idea to use both, to avoid accidently hitting a potential tame whilst it's going down.

Me and a friend have a server running on our own hardware that has been through every patch. It hasn't crashed a single time. We've had it open to public with others on it and have multiple mods.

Only issue we had was with the updates to network movement data. Caused a lot of rubber banding for no reason and seemed to increase our ping by a lot

I have DLSS on, frame generation off and Nvidia low latency off since that's still broken and my main reason for crashing was the foliage and fluid setting on the right side of video settings, once I turned that off I barely crash now.. somehow that setting is linked to the inventory crash, once that's off I don't have the inventory crash bug

I don't know if this is still a good fix after updates, but you can try "ark.VertexCountScaling 1" in the console if storage crashes the game. Maybe see if you can have foliage interaction enabled after using that command? Worled for a few friends

Only way I've found to get around it is to build more on a raft if you build near the beach. I don't know if it only powers stuff on the raft or not, haven't check, but it does allow you to build within an area you already have 3.

Currently I'm not aware of any NEW mesh method. Meshing is different now. You get teleported up alot apart from near caves and you need Tek suit to do anything.

usually on the console they sacrifice things to keep the frame rate up, the draw distance of generated foliage is one thing that usually gets pulled right in for console. ark used to have a great draw distance when set to max, I never really saw it pop in. Rex is the most popular when getting boss ready since it easiest to breed high HP and melee into them.

Raptors are really just a play tame in my opinion really never saw anything special in them to want to main them. Allo are better and get a pack boost.

Yuty are big as you can damage boost roar up your tames with them so they're a good mount for bosses and just whistle send in rexes to fight and you roar them up.

Raptors are pretty decent cave fodder. Easy to get, breed, and replace if needed. Mate Boost, Pack Buff and Leader Buff all stack for surprising defense and damage output

internet bandwidth has nothing to do with ping, it is a combination of the actual time it takes to transit through everything; your network adapter, router, ISP, WAN, and the server itself.. you could try running a traceroute to the server address and see where it hangs up. probably at the server.

The only thing you can do is drop their taming efficiency until it says 0. You’re not really aiming for no levels added though just 0 point stats. So a single point isn’t a huge deal because it can be added In any stat.
