The only "big" issue I have been having is that looting small corpses is basically impossible from third person view, no matter how much you move the character simply won't land a single hit on the corpse. So as of right now (At least for single player) there is no REAL fix for the Fatal Crash errors, exception errors, and lowlevel fatal errors. There are bandaids? Some people have said to try running the game as Admin and compatibility mode. There are some saying to use DX11 which makes the game look horrible but it runs a little better. There are some who say turn off Shadows, Clouds and fog. I've tried some of these methods and tbh none have worked. The only one I refuse to try is the DX11 one.

I also wanna point out that we should NOT have to use these bandaids just to not crash like many have been. The game is just poorly opimized and a mess at the moment, but it will be fixed at some point. Hopefully soon, so if you are getting the fatal crashes/errors report it to bug reports.

Yeah. The exception, Fatal and Lowlevel fatal crashes/errors are frustrating. It's caused me to kinda avoid playing the game till it's fixed but it hasn't been fixed and it's beyond frustrating how bad it is. Sometimes I can play for 7 hours, No issues. Sometimes I crash every 10 minutes. it seems to happen when opening and closing my inventory/storage or just looking in the wrong direction. I know at some point they will be fixed but.. for people asking about the game and if they should buy it.. I can't recommend it because of the issues the game has. Early access sure, but we are nearly 3 weeks into ASA's release and it's not been fixed.

Yeah if anyone is struggling with this, turning down your GUI 3d widget quality to 0.25 or lower helps for the most part. Only problem with this is, it seems to reset back to 0.5 every time you rejoin a server

Yes, I am constantly crashing, and I have done every mitigation trick I can think of or found. I played Ark in 2015, and it didn't even hit this lousy back then. Sure, it was buggy, but not this many SP crashes. I also have my auto saves set to every min until they fix it as well.

Anybody has any idea what is wrong here? My game is almost stable at 4k, medium, dlss, reflex off 40-50fps. I have around 1 crash/day. With reflex i have around 3 crashes/day. If i restart my game and load back in the graphics look good, around 20/30 minutes of play time the game suddenly becomes really really dark, Shadows start to become impossible to see in and water starts making this really odd affect like it's try to show waves, but the waves are in a box like shape and they flicker like crazy?

In mods are you able to compare two stats easily? Like how much torpor 1 arrow does and how much torpor a wild dino has left until his torpor is full? I'm thinking about making a realistic tranq mod if you add too much narcs onto an arrow it kills the animal, you use just enough it'll one hit knock out the wild dino. It's how real life essentially works... there is a server latency so no need for traps online you can tame anything by foot just moving.

the servers AI doesnt correct its paths so you can just move every two seconds and it will move to where you were. they wont directly come after you.

Yesterday I lost my female mammoth I'd tamed at lvl 140 on Monday or Tuesday, and I hadn't even done anything with her for like 2hrs by this point nor was I in render distance of her during the crashes, all because 5176 crashed twice in 10mins. It shows in the tribe log where I tamed/claimed her, but does not show a death message for her, and she is not showing in the tribe's tames list.

Between the server crashes and the fatal error crashes, despite my PC being above the recommended specs, it's starting to become game breaking. The game also needs much better optimization.

For one when ASA was FIRST mention it was merely a reskin which is where some people had to idea of it being free and why it was going to be bundle with Ark 2.

ASA turned into a complete code re-write into a new game engine with new features, massive QoL improvements, new wild parent creature spawns which is why each map is getting released individually as the game progresses through early access.

Upon buying the game you will receive ALL of the ASE content free as they release it making the ONLY paid DLC being the exclusive at least one map already confirmed by Wildcard.

Anyone who actually treats this game for more than a PvP dogfight and actually enjoy the ambience and takes in all of the new features is seeing just how good ASA is and it feels like a brand new game not just a remaster.

There is an anti cheat. The game is in early access which means it is still under going very much active development while it is a released product.

Problems are an inevitable occurrence and they have to be ironed out. The game just released. Best thing you can do right now is just use report feature provided in the game support category and continue to report stuff as issues arise.
