Yeah you typically have to host through Nitrado unless you are capable of hosting your own dedicated server on your own system.

I won't pay a 2nd time just to continue o play on all the maps I already paid for, thus when the 2nd payment will come up, I will be quitting playing Ark on official servers. But here is my suggestion:

Allow all players that are driven off from Ark due to that 2nd payment, to download all their animals so they can continue to play with them on their computers. After all, we players spent money and lots of our time to get all these animals, so it would be a nice gesture of acknowledging to prevent us from losing all our investments in time and money.

Plus if you bothered to read my post above yours ALL existing maps will be included into the standard package for the game and only the exclusive map to ASA will be paid.

ASA will get supported alongside Ark 2 for years to come, as well as this is an opportunity to help them fine tune any surprise issues that are found unique to Unreal Engine 5 for Ark 2.

ASE was supported for 8 years, it more than time for a fresh start on a much better game engine.

The game intial launch toward the end of October as confirmed the recent mod preview CC. EA will be $40 and it will later be $45 after.

That $40 covers all existing maps, the only thing you will have to pay for after the game purchase is the one eclusive map they confirmed so far

If ASA would come with all new maps, then okay, agreed. But paying for the same maps we paid already? No. I have price .

On pc at least, u normally have to wait awhile, it's food stat drains, then u can feed and instant Tame it

But basically, u trap the bird, u increase its torpor high, feed the bird a dead body, quickly knock it out

It's a glitch that drains its food stats

Allowing u to instant Tame it with mutton

For the pig, u aggro it, it does its AOE healing enough draining it's food stats when knocking it out

The reason I bring this up is i know a lot of my xbox friends started getting PC's built (not for ARK) per say but in general but a lot were bothered by the amount of hacks in the ARK SE and didn't want that to contaminate the new version.

Now a Daeodon would be more effective if it eating while healing your creatures so if you have any eggs to hatch and raise or dinos to level up preferrably health on it will make help Daeodon poop the more they eat.

I've had pegos hold onto inventory longer, but maybe because it was a singleplayer game before. and the Ichthy bird has stolen my pike before and I was able to get it back. It just drops it.
