You can simply run a dedicated server from your own PC it says it if you go from the main menu > host/local > run dedicated server. It'll run a server from your computer and it'll be private to you and whoever is nearby. I've never personally done it though so I don't think I can help from there.

There's isn't a limit but they are a rare spawn and share a spawn with gigas. Most maps only have a few giga spawns. 3or 4 at most. So it's rare, only has a few spawns and has a 50% chance of being a giga. The most you'll normally see is 1 or 2. I've had the best luck on Rag. It has a lot of giga/carchar spawns, like 5.

No they will not spawn dams when tamed. Some people build a fenced area and put them there wild and they should supposedly spawn dams but I never tried. I think they need access to water anyway.

most of the time it's better to just use xbow and tranq arrows

cheaper to mass produce arrows, and the xbow fires faster

if it's something with low hp then yeah darts all the way

I have 2 options, die, repsawn at base, craft a saddle and tame a pterodactyl as fast as a can and come back (I should generally be able to find it again) or try to find a flier in the area I’m in

That is a very generic issue, and without more details no one really know what's happening. There are a lot of reasons why that could be happening. The other person might not have the mods, or it could be internet connection, or something else

if you have good tek gear it's also possible to solo the cave

tried it brung 6 boss rexs and 10 megolasaurs and we still died its the favt that we keep getting zapped then hit off

leave dinos to attack the boss, run around with shotguns to clear the adds and hit boss. you can dodge the lasers much easier on the ground than in a saddle

just bring a good couple hundred med brews each, good armor and shotguns

a yuty and a pig wouldn't hurt either

and if you tame a carchar they can fit into tek cave and can do very well against the shit in the cave itself

You can pick up the drop after you Spawn the fight. It'll still work. The only issue is if the drop despawn before you start the fight
