From what I remember seeds don’t produce as much resources per crystal compared to plant y traps but I haven’t used Gachas in a while so I could be wrong

People use seeds because you can slot cap gachas with 30k seeds. But Y traps + pellets are the most efficient.

Seeds is cheap. Stone and metal they get weight reduction. Y traps are a lot of micromanagement, but the Y seeds don't expire if you can find a good source (and can go in dedicateds)

I've also had some success with stone pipes (just load the blueprint into an exomek and craft thousands at a time while doing something else...)

Raw metal has been the most reliable for me though. 3 stacks (900) last about 25 minutes in a gacha. (With their weight reduction, this fits comfortably even in a level 1 gacha and with a mining drill you can carry enough to fill two at a time that way)

Has anyone ever asked them about why fliers on Fjordur don't fly in the realms or caves? I thought they normally enabled cave flyers on the non story maps?

Honestly small eggs are best just skipped over. Tames that can actually see use will provide you with eggs for kibble.

With kibbles you can go up in quality while taming and still get the desired results. My first eggs typically come from anky, parasaur, and argy.

depends on what you can sacrifice most, spino probably has a better chance off survival from its faster attacks but then im a noob drake egg stealer

if you bring a megalo, theyre small enough to get aggro'd by purlovias so once you get out of the drake trench and more into the halls of the reaper queen, you can quickly get your hazard suit demolished. i recommend using a megalo to kill the drakes and something else (even an mf karkinos works) in a cryopod to actually get out of the rad zone with

most of the drake trench is just drakes and if no light pets, your usual nameless and eventually reaper friends. so if you can kill or escape a continents worth of drakes in the trench itself, then you can climb the ramp with whatever you want that wont aggro purlovias (though to clarify it is very possible with just a megalo, but its more risky)

glide to the natural ramp and uncryo a karkinos/spino/big dino of choice and run up. its hard to not know where to go from there because the ramp is very clear

just be wary once you enter the part where you see actual dinos and harvestable red gems, dont go anywhere but up.
