Here's the thing. Depends on the type of mods. Something like bug fixes, giving Island playable level distribution, or actually usable foundations is not going to alter the sense of progression and learning in any way. A spyglass could be argued against for rushing people into learning how stats work. If I ever suggest new players mods, I generally make disclaimers about some of the larger scale ones being quite heavy in edits and that they may want to disable large parts of them, or just not use them till they've got some more time in
And there's no world where i'd ever suggest a new player use eg an overhaul

@silent matrix i suggest bringing few people 2 or 3. Deino is always good choice for dragon but arena minions and manticore will mess it up. Rhinos ,rexes. Shotgun,rocket launcher. Gasmask maybe. Stimulants for you and stimberies for tame. Cuz some tame would fall asleep. You can cry them back during fight.
Velonasaur is good choice for dragon but it does not do damage to manticore.

Yuti can help with roar to help tames not fall asleep

the terms are confusing, you press E to "imprint" when it hatches, this starts the imprinting meter at 0%, then to give it stat bonuses you have to care for it as it grows up to raise the imprint meter
