That depends. You can find most of the content from gen1 and 2 on lost island and fjordur, so if you're only looking for creatures or items then probably not. However gen1's map is really unique and generally good, although it can be extremely hard for beginners. Gen2's map is very easy and is less unique, while being kind of boring and very framey and crashing a lot. That being said, it's still fun for some people and imo its not awful

slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Shoot at creatures, mainly the gigas, from across the lava so they fall in and its less you have to deal with. Be mindful of Purlovia and you'll be golden.

they dont get scared on the first roar though, they'll be partially scared but still run up to your yuty and try to kill it

but thats besides the point, purlovias wont aggro onto your yuty, fearing them will unbury without them pouncing and if you do get stunned, you'll be safe on the back of your yuty

difficulty 6 is max level 180. if you are on a free map(or genesis), some levels are removed.

You can gmsummon but there is no guarantee it will be female. You can also do cheat getegg 0 for an egg from whatever dino you're looking at.
