Not sure, I hope your friend filled out the form correctly. Did they submit it underneath character restoration or bug fixes? I have done it twice now, and the team resolved my issues within a couple hours each time. Just my advice for those that are waiting to have their character restored ensure that your cloud is clear. Because if they restore your old character, and you have any characters and upload it will overwrite them

Unfortunately you won’t get them back. We were just in a beta LC boss and our server crashed due to the glitched defense outpost and everyone in the fight lost everything. Once server came back up we all had to spawn on our beds and we had nothing. Tames gone, inventory wiped.
