The entitlement I see in this Discord astounds me. I mean if you were paying a monthly subscription fee then I would partway understand as with a subscription comes an certain expectation. With that being said, you all purchased ARK 1 time, bought the DLC 1 time (in general idc how many alts/copies you have). The cost to host servers is at minimum 60k USD a month. Not to mention their agreement with Nitrado is percentage based so the more they make the more it costs. That being they host the official network and essentially "eat" that cost to provide a live service game which you pay nothing for other than what I mentioned already. They have zero obligation to keep an 99% uptime, although they do try. You want them to have their own services and not use EOS? That costs money both for infrastructure and development.

Until this has been confirmed to be stable for at least an extended time, I seriously doubt servers will be brought back up. Not only that, they shut all the servers down. It takes time for them to bring them back online. It isn't like flipping a switch.

As for a rollback, while I would be all for it because we lost 3 dinos, plus the babies we had out might die because of it, the potential for people getting ark'ed because of it(completely losing their characters) is much higher since any rollbacks would cause complications with players that transferred unknowingly during the time of trouble.

the issue is that the servers were not turned off for nearly an hour after people started getting kicked and unable to get back in. This is the real reason people are frustrated as people were flying, out in the wilds, doing their everyday stuff. Dinos have died, players are dead from falling, kits gone, hard work erased by no error on the players part.

I personally only have 1 character. Not because I am lazy or anything, it's more because I only started playing ASA less then a year ago. I still don't even have all my explorers notes or beat alpha rockwell. So getting arked would reset me to a point that I would not really have much motivation to continue.

Since you did not state how you are using it, no way to know. If you are putting it on your hotbar, looking at the dino, and using the elixer, but it is not working, something is broken.

Sometimes adulting means late night baking because you took a seven hour nap at three PM.

Also, for anyone having trouble with LC missions and they're on SP or Nondedi, use "KillAoE '[enemy type, dino, pawn, etc.]' 2500" or something like that. So "KillAoE Pawns 2500" should murdilate anything stuck in the floor.

Edit; do not use the variation of this command with 'Dino' as it will kill any and all creatures in radius including your own tames. Make sure to use 'wild' if you're purging in a radius, if it isn't human.

Add steam library to exceptions in windows security > threat protection and make sure steam is using the right drive, assuming you have ark and steam on SSD, if there is insufficient space it can and will use a separate drive to temporarily cache whilst patching which takes forever
