the idea is you set your texture quality low enough that everything loads more evenly and you dont run out of memory

texture quality setting should really be locked and not changable by the user, at least on low end hardware

It would be nice and Crystal Isles does very much take elements from that but making a Pandora map is not exactly possible due to copyright. I am not sure how much modders can get away with making a map like that. You can however take elements like the floating mountains because they are not an original Avatar idea.

The only tames i ever use metal traps for are gigas, because its worth it and the trap is reusable because giga spawns are few and consolidated, and will consistently spawn in the same regions every time

Im usually in favor of building traps for most tames. I only build the trap though if its a fatdog trap, his are cheap. Sometimes someone else will make a cheap trap too. As soon as I see gates in the trap though, i just decide to wing it instead

and if you dont want them to take forever to craft, you also need an industrial cooker which costs 1800 metal and some other resources

Then an egg that takes you say... 2 minutes to hatch can take them hours. Depending on the rates you have. So an incubator is better for them and quicker than throwing them all down

I just look at the level before even claiming them, I only claim ones that are obviously mutants because they will be +2 lvl higher. Can easily scan a crowd pretty quickly

If you are doing mass and looking for levels then on the floor could be faster than cycling them in the incubator that shows stats. Really gonna depend on your system since you have boosted af and waiting for them to hatch isn't a problem

I was thinking, what if you were being raided? the enemy broke a few of your walls and has access to some of your storage containers. If they load a bunch of stuff onto an argentavis, you can still kill the argy and retrieve the stuff as the argy is on its way back to its base. once they throw it into a stryder though, its gone because it just gets zipped away into the raider's base
