I am aware of stuff like this. before recent changes, you could turn off automatic downloads, and it would simply not apply at login and avoid the crash, but then you could derender your base and it would apply. but now that they made them apply at login (which i appreciate, if it didnt crash), it still crashes even with downloads turned off. so the only way clearing cache is going to help is to remove ALL cosmetic mods, have downloads turned off and not allow them to redownload the ones already on my character and base, losing the entire cosmetics system.

Actually, I dont think reproducing it is important here. They changed the eating eggs in inventory so when ppl accidentally try to drop eggs and click wrong button, you get are you sure? They need that for the incubator when ppl accidentally click Crack for whatever reason

ive spent the past few months playing the crap outta official servers and there has most definitely been a huge decline. sure you have like hundreds of random 1x servers with like 0-5 pop, most of the time the only players being random megatribes. for the clusters on official like conquest and arkpoc which normally have high pops and an active playerbase (due to them frequently wiping and having less servers to spread playercount across), they went from normally having max pop to like barely scratching 30. and going on the beach, you barely see any bobs or intermediate players. so even if theres a high concurrent number for ark as a whole, the actual server experience has been declining, and its pretty easy to see why given all the stuff going on. if there was more variety of official servers instead of just loads of 1x/smalltribes servers, and content for earlygame players and more pvp balancing, there would be a lot more players and playing pvp servers would be a lot more fun.

and by the apathy bit, sure there was outcry about p2w when it first became a thing but at the current stage ive seen a lot less of it, and most of the playerbase seem to just to not care about the state of servers as long as theyre enjoying the singleplayer aspect, most of the time when you talk about pvp you just get people saying its bad because evil megatribes raid less advanced players, but thats justa consequence of a poorly managed setting, and that could easily be stopped if the devs made pvp more balanced or just found ways to make it more fun because pvp used to be some of the most fun i had in the game

the current stance of official pvp is just that theres loads of 1x servers and smalltribe servers which are unmoderated, and due to there being so many servers the population is divided too thinly that you get an average of a couple people per server. arkpocalypse and conquest, which wipe every few months and have fewer servers within the clusters have a more active playerbase, but even thats been declining as of late due to a lack of pvp content and pvp just being super unbalanced and favouring megatribes. some new servers and new content and loads of balancing could really help
