"Best" is wildly subjective. Extinction seems to perform the best overall (at least as requiring fewer system resources). Astareos has some stability issues as it's still very young in its development process, but offers a lot of what most players seem to like. Valguero is the latest.

Island is most well-known, probably, and doesn't require an additional map download.

Rexes are a bad idea for Drqgon. It's fire attack does percentage baae damage to carnivores. Even if your Rexes have 100K hp they're dead in 5 hits. Better to use herbivores like Theris that can heal with veggie cakes or pyromanes since they're immune to the fire. If you go with theris you only need 21K hp and everything else in melee.

This issue on PS5 with the Fear Ascended mod is getting ridiculous. The game keeps saying there isn’t enough storage to install it, even though I have plenty of free space. Every other mod installs and works normally — only Fear Ascended fails.
I’ve tried everything: deleted all mods, restarted the console, disabled dynamic downloads, freed up storage… nothing works.
This is preventing players from joining the event servers.
Please, we urgently need a fix for this.
It’s not normal to release an event and have part of the community unable to play for days.

If they're not opening, then they were either already opened by you, or it's bugged. Only way to know for sure is to take a fresh character to the note and try again.

One way around Nitrado is to host your own server, either with Ark's server manager program on your own hardware, or on hardware you rent from another provider.

The latter option is more expensive overall, but offers more horsepower than Nitrado seems to (they just sell a one-size-fits-none package for a flat rate that, honestly, wasn't worth the very meager discount). The former option is least expensive ongoing, but requires you to have a semi-decent rig (16GB is a minimum for some maps, but I'd recommend at least 32GB).

Can't do that because then Wildcard loses most of their free testers -- one of the perks (if not the only perk) of early access Ark is being able to get your spots on official before the game is 1.0. Wipe progress at 1.0, and participation falls off a cliff.
