The Zomdodos usually attacking the Mausers. If you kill a Mauser, the Zomdodos usually harvest it before you can get to it, and you lose the resources.
What you have to do (and you ought to be wearing good armor!) is, walk up to each Zomdodo and press E to claim it. Then, after all the ones in the area are claimed, whistle them passive. THEN, kill the Mausers (ascendent sword works well), and harvest them with a pick.
You get Element DUST (not element), oil, electronics, and scrap metal for days.
And you end up with a small army of Zomdodos in the process, LOL

When you are in game go to the 'pause' screen. Click settings. Then its advanced settings. Last column on left. I think its like next to last down. Then save. Turn your game off and go hit uninstall all in the mod store. Much better performance.

Underwater oxygen tanks. I use them to farm in underwater crystal cavern on island

cant harvest crystals while riding, but I can breathe on my human.

And so me and my pickaxe dive to the depths, for crystal and pearls. It also does not dismount if attacked by eels or jellys
