Good question and Not sure exactly on an overall scale. I usually just select the OWNED MODs or DOWNLOAD and click on each to see if there is an update itself for the ones I own. The game will prompt you if you leave early before downloads complete from MOD page.

Try going to the MOD page, browse the FREE Skins at the top for whichever interests you and when you select the MOD, it will ask you to download. On the same tab, it will show a download meter. I don't know, accepting, and coming to terms with the idea that your server can be sunsetted at any point does make it easier to deal with. We're already looking for a more populated server just in case. I know, not so easy for PvP to do that... but it's something we gotta deal with and learn to get through. It is routine, though, at this point. Definitely something to expect sooner or later.
