I was on an Astraeos server a few days ago (it was an NA, I'm sure) and I had to transfer back swiftly as it was almost 4am for me. I left my Pelagornis on top of one of the big pillars that circle to green obelisk (the ones near the braziers) and I can't remember what server it was on... I have "Auto Favorite" enabled, but of course that didn't work.

It’s hosted through curseforge, so they get paid, wildcard devs allow them to use their Dev kit (which includes all animations, noises, dinosaurs, assets, textures and whatever else.) so they get a split because of that. It’s also hosted on their game, without ark they wouldn’t exist (not how they do anyways).

Mod devs get the other part because they make the mods, they texture themselves (most of the time), they make models, hire others to do so too.

All the costs that go into it, the people, the time. It’s all for them, and i wouldn’t ever demean their work.
