i would rated images on lightroom if you want to do it after which will then lead you to edit the photos that you like and leave the ones you don't want to edit out

but rating images then give you more time to work on photos you like

Create your own actions for all the work you typically do for your images. I'm not talking about "filter" actions and overlays. I'm talking about listing the 5 things you do for every shot and simplifying that work into push-button steps.

Remember that every time you edit you are losing information in that image, so if you are going to do heavy editing you're going to want a big enough image and limit your editing to a handful of steps.

I got a Windows computer now, and it is a good choice for me because I can play games and it's a bit familiar for me to use. I got 6 months of Dropbox with me which is like 500GB so I'll extend that. So I take my SD card out and then import the images immediately.

The problem is that my Mac can't read the file system so I directly import the photos in the Photos app
