Yeah my AI denoise is quite dependant on what I've photographed & how much there is. It removes way too much detail if you go about 35/40% for my liking but you can get away with it if its not too dependant. I also add like 0 sharpnening 80% of the time

The reason I export into lightroom first is that once I merge the photos and layers, I can just ctrl+s save it in photoshop, close it down and the file is already a .dng in lightroom

Just an opinion: At low price points CF isn't worth it, Aluminium is more durable than the compromised CF they use in cheap tripods. At prices over 1K then CF should be a consideration.

It has to save as something other than raf, once you merge photos, the output is no longer raw, all the underlying processes to turn a raw into a photo are already done, hence the tiff

Tiff is an uncompressed photo format, or lossless

Back when I used a 700d I had to HDR more often than not for landscape, or just recompose to avoid the need entirely, which is the route I often took out of laziness lol

Modern full frame handles most situations, or at most sometimes I just take a separate exposure for sky and blend it in

Raw is only really for higher end applications. I'm not a video guy so don't know all the ins and outs, common in between is just the log profiles that still give good flexibility. For casual day out I'd just go compressed

It'd be a fun trip if you have 4wd to get to off the beaten track locations, some beautiful locations out there, just have to accept the long travel days, is the nature of it

But for me I also find long driving much more boring as a passenger, as a Driver I enjoy it

I’d say the best part of living on the coast is having the ocean right there and being a quick boat trip away from the Great Barrier Reef

Was going to ping you, today has produced far more than I expected. Bom just put up a very dangerous storm warning which is very rare... Granted did take them over half an hour to severe warn them at all, ~5+cm hail at times

I was looking at heading south, didn't have faith when I looked this morning, oh boy was I wrong. We also had a supercell up near Hornsby earlier

But good storm aside if you're in the path, do be careful, easily >100km/hr winds and big hail
