No idea if it'll work, but worth trying, as it is it's not unsual for cameras to drop the bit depth for continuous high

Yes, how much by I can't answer, and it also depends on the iso level. If I had to take a guess, it'd probably be around the 400+ mark where it becomes indistinguishable, base iso it's likely noticeable

But at the same time, situations where you actually care about that extra frame, you're probably not sitting on base iso
