Couple of years ago finally did a rebuild with the AMD 5900x

Combine with an RTX 4070, doesn't take long to denoise in LRC

The biggest jump for me in CPU was the small amount of astro I do, one process that would take a couple of hours is done in around 10 minutes give or take, makes it so much easier to experiment lol

Ssds did also contribute to that though, went from a single 256gb ssd and the rest older drives to an additional 3tb worth of m.2 drives

Yeah, part of why ive stuck with the 3930k so long is because it just does everything I need it to.

CP2077s update in the last week has been the thing to finally max it out

and I could go back to putting a 50% overclock on it if I really wanted to...

When you're adding false detail to an image as ai Denoise does, being slightly out of focus is less of an issue lol

That's why I was asking if you've taken anything with the lens that's actually sharp, have you tested it under controlled conditions, good light, manual focus etc?

Also reason I ask above is if the lens is sharp under test conditions, it's entirely possible you'll have to calibrate the AF in camera for that lens

DSLR's use a different sensor for AF, due to tolerances it's not uncommon for lenses needing to be tuned to a DSLR if the AF keeps putting it slightly off focus
