you can see the shutter speed from the number of men at the pedestrian crossing light

I got a nesting bird the other day but angle wasn't high enough to get the chicks

Yeah this one wasn't too high up which was nice, the main issue was just not wanting to get too close

Basically walked down every day when I first noticed it nesting until one day there were little heads poking out

Why must space weather gods tease me again, apparently a sudden spike in aurora activity, was going to just take the old 700d and try my luck, it's shown up in photos with this level of activity up here before... Nothing but clouds

Just anywhere that has a clearing to the south with clear skies, the further south, the better chance. Main thing is it just depends on luck, I've seen people get images of it on the horizon at this latitude with similar activity, but it's very hit and miss

Sometimes it can see a sudden spike in activity then drop off, sun is just very active this year so it's more frequent

Just work on self improvement, if you want to make money from it, it's another skill unrelated to photography to learn for the most part
