Here he steps into river Vaigai in his Horse Vaganam. Lakhs of devotees flock to river Vaigai to see this event. "Ethir Sevai" festival is celebrated on the day before Alagar steps into river Vaigai. It is a tradition for the people of Madurai to welcome Alagar.

Sixth Abode of Lord Murugan ✨ .

The sixth and final abode of Lord Murugan among the Arupadaiveedu (the six sacred abodes) is Pazhamudircholai (also known as Solaimalai). It is located roughly 20 to 25 kilometers north of Madurai, nestled atop a lush, densely forested hill right above the famous Alagar Kovil Vishnu temple .
