There's already an ai update coming from what I've heard, idk when but apparently there is so you'll just have to be patient

I just saw the rules regarding suggestions and I'm sure you've already thought about this, but in my humble opinion I think it's taking too long for these changes to appear, I don't want to put pressure, just to make the mod less repetitive and bland, new mechanics are very interesting, in personal taste I prefer mechanics / gameplay than appearance / graphics, but of course that's just my opinion.

you were not forced to use our mod, and this is a passion project so I'm unsure where this "advanced ai" expectation is coming from but I haven't seen a mod do that thus far
