the first game they did in s1 this season will be some of the second game but not all. it’s not EXACTLY like the game there are some deviations but it’s very close and i’d say where it’s different is either they just have more time to explore backstories than completely changing what something is or means

there's extra brutality in watching human actors doing things that isn't there even with the most realistic and well acted video games... at the same time, the game has some mechanics that force the player to confront their own choices and actions in a way that won't be present for passive viewers of the show

And it has a different impact not just because of the decisions you are forced to make in game

But because sometimes you have emotional scenes after difficult sections and everything is heightened

TV has the chance to give you extra scenes which can be their own low blow

I just replayed the Nora chase part and I cant get over how when Ellie gets back to the aquarium she’s shaking. It’s such a point of no return/ ok we’re really doing this in the game and it gets me every time. I’m so interested in how they’re gonna handle that scene in the show ||

The second game was since de beginning very difficult to adapt imo, to have the same impact the game has it when playing it. And unfortunately they made some questionable decisions that gave me not much hope for the continuation of the story
