Thank you Sister

Running 2/1/2/2. Running with an Ironhelm Thammer and a SAP, 3 wound curios for Martyrdom & Bleed for the Emperor. You become a steel beam in a river with this build. Sucks against Disablers ofc. Super annoyed that they put a +10% Health node right in front of Martyrdom, weird place to put it.
It's annoying that there isn't a good way to transcribe builds. Screenshotting the "Full build" screen doesn't show where each little talent is, and screenshotting the raw talent selection doesn't show what each talent does. The best I can do is "2/1/2/2" for big nodes. @scarlet canyon Any chance you can put in a request for a build code system? In-game a button is used to generate one and you can copy paste it into the same menu to straight up share builds?
That way I can put "Here's my build. Running 2/1/2/2. Really good for tanking, run with these weapons: ########################"
heard
Ah tanky confessor is all I wanted
There are some better options for Tanky, you can really build to be a Berserker with the skill trees.
This one is just middle of the road stacking Toughness, TDR, and low HP build shenanigans.
A slight modification. The right branch has some really solid options for DR as well but that requires you to crit for some of the primary effects. Blitz choice matters with weapon, I'm running a Thammer so I'm pairing it with a fire grenade for greater horde coverage since it's still not perfect for it. Run with +Health/Toughness curios, Martyrdom is specifically being used as a safety net here.
I think to rlly embrace the juggernaut playstyle I'll use the crusher due to the aoe stagger
Gameplay is essentially, buff with ult, throw down fire, don't let enemies get past
yeah just tried it and i dont think any of us fell down once so that build slaps
The relic ult in general seems to be very impactful for clutches. I might make a carry oriented one with Stuns and Relic, along with corruption cleanse.
help my ocd is too much and i can't build this melee/flamer focused build that i really want as the talents are too far apart ahhh
idk why but it feels like there are too many talents to pick from in this tree compared to the others. With the other classes, I've been able to make a nice specific build as the talents were close enough together, like a support veteran officer, but with class the tree has synergising talents that are spread too far apart imo
this is the absolute furthest i've been able to go after sacrificing the least important but still important talents
Ok so the sprinting counting as dodging talent doesn’t work so I can get extra 4 points
Doesn't work at all?
nope i still get hit
the +10% movement speed works at least
dodging actually has iframes where you are invuln for a brief moment. my assumption based on the description of the talent was that your character would dodge all attacks while sprinting
@scarlet canyon hey could you clarify this talent pls? What does it mean by "always counts as dodging while sprinting?" I thought it meant your character would be dodging every attack while sprinting
I just assumed I would be taking half toughness damage while sprinting into a pack
That talent buffs a dodge mechanic. If you sprint perpendicular* to ranged attacks you'll enter a dodge state. You cannot do this at 0% stamina. From what I understand that talent lets you sprint faster and do that tech at 0% stamina.
keeping this threaded to not make everyone lose thier minds lol
trying this for my generic Thammer build
undecided on shroudfield, I just heard about how fun thammer is with it lol
It should also proc blessings based on dodging such as Riposte and Precognition which give Crit and Finesse respectively on dodge
Are you saying it should be doing that or are you saying that it currently does that?
It should, haven't tested that out with Zealot yet but Psyker has similar talents with dodge that are procing the Dueling Sword blessings for some sweet extra stats
It doesn't proc anything so I ended up getting rid of the sprint
Here's a crit chorus build that I've found good success with. As long as there's enemies you'll have chorus up to get out of tight spots and keep people topped on toughness. There's good flexibility for switching things, you can trade dmg for more durability, like Ecclesiarch's call to Holy Cause, or Sustained assault for bleed for the emperor. Weapon I've been using is crit dclaw, ranged can vary
[Support Stabber build] I'm a support main and this build is looking for survive spam Chorus as much as possible. I use Knife for crit stabbing for -1.5s. cooldown and Revolver for panic shot. You still can handle the horde quite well, very tanky and have good mobility from knife. Chorus it self can stagger Chaos Spawn and Plague Ogrin every 2 waves.
[(Useful) Knife Zealot]
Built for 10% movement speed + 10% sprint speed + spamming heavy swings to reach maximum speed. You are the dark corner looter, grimoire and relic finder, mutant chaser, instant first responder.
- Damage There's no excuse for low damage. You are leaning on four things.
- The flamethrower kills groups. It gets damage from flame stacks, so +25% ranged/20% Unyielding is a waste. Max out burn and ammo, ignore other stats. Crit stacking can speed up stacks which saves ammo, but is hard to eyeball. Your mobility lets you scout groups then sprint to good chokepoints to cleave them down.
- Throwing knives inherit weapon Blessings. They kill specials and elites. Treat them like a veteran's free 60 second grenades - use it or lose it, you need the damage!
- By hitting Shroudfield while an attack is already released you can get 2 stabs out of each ability. This kills ogryns and ragers. Ability resets actually come from backstab kills more than crit spam! Look to swap targets onto stuff fighting your team, or dodge behind big swings.
- Finally your knife is blessing-dependant. If you're stacking bleeds with lights then dipping, drop Retributor's Stance for Faithful Frenzy.
- Utility You could run the left keystone with a Hand Cannon stub revolver which will apply its rending to your knife and throwing knife crits. That'll give you maximum ability resets if you want to spam Chorus. Chorus is strong. However your damage will be very lacking without the flamer to carry it. The anti-corruption aura is kind of a meme, but until Duelist starts working reliably you might as well meme.
- Survival You are fast in order to reach teammates that got isolated. You aren't fast to get isolated. Spot and mark stuff but don't take fights alone. Your leading cause of death is confidently biting off more than you can chew then missing a trapper sound cue and getting dragged where Until Death/Holy Revenant can't save you.
Knife is blessing dependant, what blessings we looking for?
Unforunately all I have are taxes since I liked them better than daggers back on release. Anyway to make taxe work for this type of build?
Is it the difference in movespeed between the two?
Standard Zealot Hammer 2.0 build, you can swap some of the minor nodes for more survivability or more damage, and modify depending on the mission modifiers and ranged weapon slightly
momentum for more swing speed, i'm assuming?
otherwise it might be better to run fury or something
i'm still torn on keystones, personally
momentum because it has the highest uptime and is very consistent
Allowing you to just forget that it even exists
since it's in play 24/7 if you're moving, which you will be since you're Zealot
I really like blazing piety or whatever (the fury one), it's up a surprisingly large portion of the time
I've seen a few people with crazy knife clear speed say they just go mouse1 build. Is this what that is? Lol
Pure mouse1 would be Hand Cannon rend bug, crit stacking, and Loner for the memes. Though that works better with a tacaxe.
Knife advantage is scouting, setting up big flame chokepoints, bouncing between frontline and backline, selectively soloing objectives. Straight m1 shred+BM tacaxe does better.
Gotcha
What would you run on your curios for that knife build (and knife blessings?)? Again thanks for the info, trying it now and I love it
Dunno. Standard 2 health 1 toughness with a bit of sniper resistance. Maybe gunner resistance? I've been meaning to try +3 stam and 3x stam regen perks, but this doesn't feel like a useful place to test 'em.
My deaths are trapper nets or walking around corner into blindside crusher crush. Don't feel I need curios.
Yeah trapper nets got me too lol
Knife blessing are a pain to gamble since there's so many. As long as they make some sense (rending on backstab + bleed on non-weakspot, crit stacking + bleeds on crit, rending on weakspot + damage to weakspot, etc) it's A-tier.
Thank you again!
Bleed is super good now
Bleed crit knife with momentum for even more speed and the toughness regen feels solid
And stamina feels insane if you can forgo the health and toughness
Being able to just push spam or hard tank is sick also really good for res obvi
Eviscerator w/ Bloodletter build 3/3/3/1.
High focus on foundation talents to allow for isolated play, knives for disabler shutdowns, Loner for free toughness regen, Shroud for burst damage and a panic button, Blazing Piety for added 25% crit chance for extra Shroud uptime. A really durable build that combos well with Eviscerator's on-demand bleed cleave.
With this build the Crit Chance for the Eviscerator goes up to 60% during hordes. Blazing Piety can keep momentum given there are a steadly flow of enemies for +25% Crit Chance. Scourge can easily be ramped up w/ Bloodletter for an added 30%. 5% is base crit for Eviscerator.
Gold standard support zealot build
Using a chainsword or devils claw you can reliably get chorus up in 20 seconds. This build makes your team immortal, now you just need them to actually start hitting things because you won't be doing a lot of that while holding your little rosette.
Use Shred & Savage Sweep to capitalise on hitting as many targets as possible and getting a ton of crits with each hit.
You could also use a crit eviscerator if you like, but the lower attack speed could hinder your cd reduction.
Rampage/Savage Sweep for a baseline Eviscerator. Flak + Unarmored/Maniac/Carapace (Carapace as passable but not preferred).
For a Criterator Savage Sweep + Shred. Same perks, don't go for +Crit.
very nice ty.
what are the advantages of the criterator over normal? also, where are you getting your crit if you're rocking savage sweep + bloodletter, and no crit perks?
i rolled this, haven't modified it yet
also, sorry to be dumb, what is scourge?
Criterator combos really well with the right side of the tree. If you're not running Scourge (top right talent, +crit on hitting bleeding enemy), I would recommend just using a baseline Eviscerator. Without crit perks you're not getting much use out of a Criterator over a normal Evis.
gotcha
i do have a tree like this with crit stuff, this would be a good criterator talent build?
I would say so yeah. The CDR on crit talent will be constantly proccing since I believe a Criterator with that setup will get a 60% crit chance if you have Blazing Piety and Scourge up.
ok tyvm
and is toughness regen curio perks not good anymore? topic change lol
just wasnt sure
It's still fine. I would value raw +Health/Toughness/DR over Toughness Regen Speed since there are so many easy sources of Toughness now, but it's not the end of the world if you have it locked in a curio or two.
whats the perks on the Chain Sword?
whats the 1-shot stealth hammer build? anyone got a SS of the setup?
i tried making it and it wasnt 1 shotting the bosses, didn't feel that much better than the charge
Here is my current one. I'm using an Ironhelm with Thrust 3 without any +Unyielding. I normally use this build with a Chainsword though, so feel free to make adjustments where you'd like. 1 shotting bosses is about hitting the right part of the bosses body. On Plague Ogryn you need an actual proper boss nuking Thammer (mine is a Thrust 3 +25% Unyielding Crucis).
Flaniac
this change IMO
use Lazor's build, take out some minor talents and swap chastise to stealth if you wanna play stealth instead
Does anyone know of a high speed knife+flamethrower build? Think I saw one on twitch just yesterday but now i cant remember the streamers name, hope this is the correct channel to ask in
Yes.
Thank you and sorry I didnt see it
For build related questions I recommend searching through here for builds and if nothing satisfies your question just go to the base channel. It'll fall upon more eyes there, only like 35 people are in this thread rn.
Yeah sorry, I did, just didnt get any response so thought I'd check in the dedicated builds channel
Still trying to optimize but this is the setup I found most success with
Now you can be a not very lore-accurate Zealot Kriegsman
Does this build work well if I don't have bloodletter?
Ideally you have Shred or Bloodthirsty to make up for it, but it'll still have the same effect without any of the three. It'll just have a way slower ramp up, but once Blazing Piety kicks in it'll be fine.
I'm working on tweaking my listed builds a bit. I'm learning with the update just as everyone, so some of my older stuff will have old knowledge backing it.
Trying to find the most fun build lol haven't tried this one yet, but I don't have any good weapons yet
Currently I recommend a Savage Sweep/Shred Eviscerator. 80% crit chance.
If you're interested in crits and whatnot.
With that same skill tree setup as the bloodletting one?
I just want unkillable horde clearing
Kinda. It requires specifically Scourge and Blazing Piety. The CDR on crit is the backbone of the build. If you're looking for tanky I believe my original Martyrdom build is up, it lets you tank 2 back to back Crusher overheads before triggering Until Death.
80%?
oh the 5% perk
i would trade the negligible 5% crit for more 25% flak or maniac damage
25% from Blazing Piety. 30% from Scourge. 20% from Shred. 5% base crit chance.
base crit chance?
You have 5% base crit on all classes.
what the fuckle
Some weapons are -% so it goes lower with some weapons.
that shit escaped me even after 500 hours into the game
Others have +%, such as the combat blade. Eviscerator has +0% so it's 5% base crit chance.
Yeah it's kinda assumed to be common knowledge since that was present at Day 1
Then again a lot of supposed common knowledge isn't really taught directly, just learned from other topics

Thank you thank you
I do not claim credit for this build, all credit goes to @royal orbit, the Melee Weapon and Ranged Weapon is up for debate, Evis and Bolter could work, I simply run these because I like them with it, Ironhelm/Crucis with Momentum gives Horde clear and thrust with Thammers special gives Mutie and Carapace killing, Flamer is just fun. Same scenario with the third curio perk, all preference and luck
https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9a4eb17b-bc2f-4c7d-8be4-1e68fd907b16/short-ogryn
I had a lot of fun with this when Kalenne shared it with me, might as well make it accessible to everyone not just the people there during the conversation
yah know?
You end up with around 350-390 HP and 130 or so Toughness
With this build you don't need Momentum. You already have a high foundation focus, meaning your toughness generation is more than enough. It'd be better to run Slaughterer/Thrust to make up for the Thammer's poor horde clear time. It's already a supremely safe weapon due to high cleave high stagger.
Also with Judgement, the keystone, you kinda need the +3 stacks on dodge to assist in keeping high stacks of Momentum due to how fast it refreshes. For some reason a +5% suppression node is selected, you can just swap that to get that +3 stacks on dodge for Judgement which will provide more attack speed and damage on average.
If you want extra toughness, swap the -10% sprint speed cost (functionally doesn't do much for you) to the node in the bottom right of this photo. It gives an extra 7.5% Toughness on heavy attack kill. With Slaughterer I believe you can get 2 kills per swing during hordes consistently for Thammer, which will give you 25% toughness per swing just off of per kill toughness gains.
You know, sometimes I think I'm improving at this game, and then you come in with the fucking genius ass perfect evaluations of like all the builds I've seen posted
Thank you
I appreciate all of that insight
been running for axe|revolver
Best hammer build right now? Also which hammer is better?
thammer with the shroud back dmg burst
Which hammer is better? Also what is that shroud thing?
@ocean shale
No thanks
is how are rashad axes now after patch?
i haven't even tried my deci + bromentum one lol. Is it kinda dead with that build?
obviously ill have to go try it, see for myself
just curious if anyone has messed around and found if it still works ok (maybe using push attack?) or if another blessing combo is needed (deci + headtaker?)
I think it still works okay
Brutal Momentum still works fine, just aim for the heads
Inexorable Judgement or Martyrdom Keystones + Fury of the Faithful Skill are pretty good builds
I'm sure you'll do fine
Ironhelm is the easier to use hammer. Its special attack can cleave and kill through some poxwalkers, with the downside being it does 25% less special damage.
Crucis is the harder to use hammer because it cant cleave through anything with its special. Its the better hammer because it does more damage and can hit multiple 1 shot breakpoints on elites and specials
Crucis Always
I simp Ironhelm
What melee weapons are good for support zealot? I am taking the crit cd reduction so need something that's good for that. Would the ix heavy sword be good?
[Chorus of Martyrdom]
Here's a solid marty build which goes all in on defense for pubs. There's a lot of flex points that can be swapped, for those that like more offensive play or have good premades and can go full damage. However, proper play with this build can have you being the lynchpin of the team.
Loadout can be almost anything you want it to be (for the love of god not knife). I generally run this with evisc and kant/brauto since the additional ATK speed combined with the high dmg of evisc makes you a melee machine. I particularly like brauto since Dance of Death means dodges will have you hip-firing out to med-long range accurately as it procs very frequently.
Blitz can also be easily changed between stun and immolation (though I generally recommend stun for utility). Stick with your team and have fun.
Quick question guys, what would you run with a thammer, ranged weapon wise ? Im currently trying to build a flamer but I sometimes feel like I would be better with some rifle or the bolter
Kant Shotgun / Shredder / Flamer
If you want a rifle run a Braced Autogun. Agripinaa is currently the most favorable. Boltgun is fine but it'll suffer a bit on higher difficulties due to it not receiving any love to help it through the difficulty increase.
thx ❤️
Worth upgrading?
The stats are a bit low, ideally you have mobility has your dump stat. If you don't have any other Chainsword though feel free to upgrade it, it's so strong that it'll perform well regardless of some low stats.
What would the order of importance on the stats be?
Also what are some good weapons to pair with chainsword?
I usually use a shotgun with evis for the slug rounds
Damage & Penatration > Finesse > Shredder > Mobility. Chainsword and Eviscerator have really good horde clear and really good single target. They're generalist weapons. Pair them with what you want to spec your build into, or use a Braced Autogun/Infantry Autogun (the Agripinaa is the best for both). I personally use a Kantrael Shotgun since it is also a generalist weapon.
How's this chainsword?
That's good, yeah.
grab EWEW in favour of a minor talent
Martyrdom is quite bad, unless you REALLY want to play with it. Blazing Piety will perform much better
Good catch. I forgot that was there
Martyrdom is not bad lmao.
You need to be playing with 6 or 7 wounds, and to be missing 3 of them (50% of your hp with 6 wounds, or 42% of your hp with 7 wounds) for it to become better than momentum.. While momentum still gets to run 3x toughness curios on top of it, or blazing piety gets ability spam
Martyrdom is good, just requires you to commit your curios which narrows build variety.
Can confirm, sometimes you can easily have only 30 sec cd on ability when there is horde + you have heavy sword
30 secs is slow 😂
For chorus? I dont think so
During horde, kinda. It's on the slower end at least. You can get it back in 20 secs during horde with a chainsword or devilclaw
But chainsword cant hit more targets than heavy sword right?
30 seconds is slow for a crit build. You can get back your ult in a matter of a few swings if it's set up properly. It's not really strong enough to devalue other builds, since stuff like Chorus doesn't need a really short cooldown if you have a competent team. Fury and Shroud both benefit from the fast CDR.
With savage sweep it can
crit cuild with shred/savagesweep claw or chainsword is beastly with shroud or chastise
it's still great with chorus too, but yeah, maybe a bit overkill on cooldown redux
This is how I'd build crit shroud (compared to chorus in reply)
Which one is better? (ignoring blessings and perks)
Just stick with the right one.
@hot void Why middle Aura?
Any suggestions for a savage sweep/rampage eviscerator build? I'm currently torn between momentum and martyrdom.
Momentum for sure.
hello,
want to try stealthy zealot knife build, i dunno if its any good or viable but any tips on if this is a good setup? I know my knife could be better but its what i got
should i be running Blazing Piety over Inox Judgement?
On paper it seems Inox is better for the burst, like hammer users, if you wanna go for the stealth assassin
Blazing Piety route gives you more stealth though and better sustain dps
i swapped the build to make sure i got 20% cooldown on backstab, dropped +15 toughness up top
gonna give it a try, just curious what others thought and had success with
I meant the Blazing has that crit reduces ability cd
The red one to the right of Blazing
ya thats big
i found i wanted stealth a bit more than i had it
and getting backstabs wasnt reliable enough
i wonder if i can find 5 poitns to go there...
and still keep inox judgement
any ideas or should i just rock piety if i want that talent
If you feel like you're not getting your ult enough or feel like youre saving it more cause of cd, try going Piety. I feel like at the end of the day it's not gonna be too much of a difference for knife like it would for Hammer burst
Wait. Give up crit on dodge at middle left for 4 points. Then the toughness reduction on dodge to the right
Oh let me try when I get back to my pc stepped away good idea
Yeah. Im actually gonna use that too whenever rng gets me a good knife. You doing uncanny and bleed on crit?
See #1158835247685836853 message for my take on getting damage up. Knife lacks intrinsic bleeds which limits bleed kiting but means you really want to be ult resetting regularly.
oh niced build/take on it
you think losing the toughness dmg reduction is better than keeping second wind? it feels like im squishy and it helps a lot
I was rocking uncanny strike + mercy killer
not sure if i could run something better?
my knife
also wonder if i should go like...unyieldinjg or carapace on it
maybe i dont need maniac or flak
even unarmored
Where is the second thing you were talking about? On my phone so Im tabbjng back and forth the website
i ended up dropping weakpoint dmg on dodge...which is powerful combined with uncanny and headshots but
i think its better to have stealth + defensive stuff
ill try both
I thought those were on dodges if they were just about to hit like parry so I didnt think theyd proc often enough. I never used it and never felt like I was missing defense
I think its better with the extra dmg stealth since you got both back stab and crit to cd reductions now
just dont know if its better to have bleeds
I want a bleed knife just cause lol. Even if it's not objectively best
Because going left means you have to sacrifice on some other important blessings such as DR dodge and EWEW
and going right (loner) is bad whatsoever.
I did try to build for left, but i had to make too many concessions
in any case I do think chastise is better than shroud in almost every case except for being able to revive teammates
Chatise cant 1 shot monsters
Loner is for solo qp so you can regen easier while ditching team time to time
shoutout to the help crafting this build earlier, its SUPER fun
idk how good it is
but i did ok
highest boss dmg actually
i rocked flamer to cover weakness of horde but
dont think its needed
Nice. Cant wait to try it myself. I actually enjoy the throwing knives a lot in general for Zealot changes
Knife is probably the peak of flamer experience. Guaranteed scouting and positioning, and knife doesn't need help dealing with ranged.
I forgot if the Knife does a little bit of piercing against the weaker enemies
Would be nice to be able to yeet it through a small horde to get the Special or Elite hiding between them
But yeah, Throwing Knife is absolutely goated
so what am I looking for on a devil's claw? Im so used to that weapon type being mid
shred/savage sweep
ty
I have thunder 3 brutal momentum 3 on my rashad mk2
just needed an idea of what to go for with some rng upgrades
MK1 or MK 1 4 or 7?
trying to piece info together in this game is like sifting through sand
1 is best but 4 is good too
ty
for rashad MK2 do I want shred for the right-side crit synergyt?
because its stuck with low base crit
I don't know anyone that runs crit rashad
fair
maybe? idk
🚮
or aatrox Mk4 with shred and decimator 4?
they worked enough for damnation maelstrom in the past
but I don't want to be gimped
the twohanded stuff feels mediocre despite knowing they do good
the 60% rending on bleeders
should help
love that perk
Alright, I need 2 Nodes to sacrifice to get Shield of Contempt
Wtf do I sacrifice
This is my weapon setup too for context
Hi Exhillious, I really like this build, thank you for outlining it! Question for you though - why do you take Second Wind over Enduring Faith? I would have thought the constant crits would keep that buff up endlessly
Second Wind can proc off of ranged attacks. If you're being pelted by shooters you won't always have enemies to crit off of/kill for the toughness regen. That's the main reason, just for weakness coverage. Also, that build is a tiny bit old. I'm working on making a build guide for Zealot with what I think is strong rn but Eviscerator wants Shred with that build, not Bloodletter. It provides 80% crit chance.
Awesome, ty again for quick response. Looking forward to your guide
This one is a bit of a classic, but you know what, let's post.
The idea behind the build was: First, BONK.
The Crucis THammer is the item which the build is revolved around.
Thrust is perfect for Bosses & Crushers, you can OS Crushers w/body shots if you wait until the third stack of thrust.
Shredder was there for Anti-Specials in self defense or really close range, and to pick the trash which is kinda slow with THammer.
Finally, I run 2 +health curio and 1+stamina for extra blocking power. You can clearly swap out the +stam.
This leads to 320 HP.
For the skill tree, as I don't run any +wound curio, I went for the damage reduction which lead to stun, allowing me to take a greatly reduced sniper shot + the healing in the center, which comes with +25% damage for the Shredder, almost always active.
Holy Revenant + Until Death are mostly a crutch, but on the other hand, Desperation will never proc, even more if you run a +stam curio like me. This is kinda the weak part of the build, because you don't care that much about this aura
If those feels useless to you, you might want to go for the corruption remover aura, picking either branch, since +reload speed is a godsend for a fast reacting weapon like Shredder, or Impact because Thammer + immense protection.
Charges are essential, because you don't have a real ranged option, and the guaranteed crit allows you to damage a boss for 18-20k with a powered Thammer.
Finally, I picked out Momentum, because the Shredder makes you sprint insanely fast, recharging the momentum in a whiff. even more with Swift Certainty, and you don't care as much for +15% crit when you have on average +12% atk speed & damage.
If you consider playing this but have some trouble against the horde, you might want to take out the health node at the very end, and take Vicious Offering since you'll do mostly heavies with the Bonkie
Looks good
Basically the same build but with the middle capstone instead and stacked wounds
Cheers for Momentum
Im late to the party but I'd love to know what Curios you'd run for this build.
And what gun.
What blessings are you running on the auto? This is similar to what I was running but I dont have good blessings on my blade
Best/Good Chainsword and Eviscerator builds out there?
Triple toughness with 3xtoughness, 3x toughness regen, and 2x gunner 1x sniper
idc about guns I just use what I feel like. Either a brauto, vraks 3, flamer, shredder AP or boltgun
Aggressive Martyrdom build with an oversized ruler AKA Eviscerator:
Curios-wise I picked 3 wounds with Revive Speed/Gunner and Sniper Resist. Other combinations can probably work well enough, although I really want to have +3 wounds to potentially end up with 5 or 6 stacks of Martyrdom for added benefits. Resists are there to ensure I don't get bogged down by a gunner of any sort or instantly brought down to earth by a single sniper that I did not pay attention to.
Revive speed is a flexible pick - I like having it for a number of situations, because getting someone up that much faster is really important for keeping a run afloat. It pairs well with Stunstorm grenades as well - they can be used as clutch tools, but they perform just as well as a "situation defuser" when a lot of elites, or specials, or both are involved in company of either regular horde enemies, or bruisers and shooters.
Weapon justifications:
- I tested two variants of Eviscerator so far, one with Savage Sweep + Rampage and Shred + Rampage and I like the latter one more, as it can leverage Scourge feat much more frequently and effectively. I haven't tested many other weapons yet, but I really do not want to stop playing Evis after the buffs - it's exceptionally well at both aggressive and defensive play it's hard to replace with anything else. Possible replacements for Eviscerator include:
- Heavy sword (ideally variant IX - it has the best set of attacks and types of attacks from the bunch). Blessings likely would involve use of Headtaker and Rampage (Deathblow should also work well, given the horizontal attack pattern of most of the swings), whereas the ideal perks would be Flak and Maniac.
- Combat axe - it ideally should be Antax or Rashad variants (Achlys if you are feeling adventurous). Brutal Momentum might be mandatory, coupled with either Headtaker, Decimator or Decapitator to an extent. Perks are flexible, but I imagine Flak and Maniac will work.
- I took the Agripinaa shotgun variant to snipe specials with. It performs exceptionally well in the role with the special slug ammo, if you can reliably click heads and fluently switch your attention between clearing trash and picking specials at close-to-medium distance from your position.
Rough description of what you can do:
- This build can kill basically anything effortlessly, although Monstrosity DPS potential is definitely not its greatest strength. Martyrdom active allows one to assume an aggressive playstyle, so long as Until Death passive ability is off-cooldown, but the gameplay is relatively very attention-heavy and you generally DO NOT want to be hit, even at max toughness, and you definitely cannot allow any more glancing blows past the first one, when the passive invulnerability feat is not ready to pop. Pay attention to it and plan your inputs accordingly - wandering off alone can be a bad idea and will get you killed. With this in mind however, generally try to preserve Martyrdom for as long as possible, as you should be using it to its fullest extent throughout the level.
- When Until Death is on-cooldown, you can bruise quite effectively when you are close to your team still - the perks of having an excellent attack speed and melee power. Mixed trash mobs with bruisers, and even elites are no match for the Eviscerator, and even then you can use Fury of the Faithful to either make some space with quicker attacks and armour penetration and on-demand crowd control, or restore toughness and escape in a pinch (although the best uses are still when you are in Offensive).
- You can also tactically suicide (barrels, flame puddles, getting hit by a stray group of bruisers next to your teammates) to heal to full health bar your latest wound, which can be beneficial in maps with longer segments full of elite/shooter packs. Losing health is sometimes a choice to take, and if you can use the power to its fullest, it may be worthwhile getting hit to get it.
Duelist is currently bugged and doesn't apply most of the time, but yeah if it's working that's a good build
I did include duelist in my builds if I could go for it, but just keep it in the back of your mind
Duellist is a non-binding a passive and can probably be allocated elsewhere
I put this build together with what made sense, while trying to preserve the spirit of original, pre-patch 13 Preacher
I'd personally go -duelist, -dmg to unyielding and the talent before that, then grab the +75% DR if getting hit teamwide.
+20% dmg to unyielding is good, but not on par with 75% DR
I would like to get Shield of Contempt… I’ll consider sacrificing these points to get it, cheers!
Although what might be worth noting, Agri shotgun can funnily two-shot Reapers at close range with Unyielding/Infested and Emp’s Executioner feats
(I don’t know if the former is needed - Emp’s Executioner might be enough)
Agri shotgun is fun, but it doesn't really hold up in auric. Too much chaos happening for the low fire rate of the slugs
It's my favourite gun, but if I'm playing auric it's just too much of a risk to grab it
I hold up just fine while also picking up the slack for my teammates. Slugs are efficient is all, and shots are easy to follow-up if you fail at hitting whatever you were shooting at the first time around (best not to get excited though - this weapon chews through ammo if unattended).
It’s the weapon that allows me to bruise, and hip-fire is accurate enough for slugs to easily connect to flamer/trapper/bomber heads. I whiff my shots sometimes, but playing better is something I always strive for :P
I might have played revolver, had it had a better capability in reloading tactically
I started to practically prefer Vraks 3 over Agri shotty, but agri does feel amazing when you whip it out really quickly to pop a headie

My sentiment exactly
I might want to get a decent Vraks 3, though, now that I think about it
Is there a reason to use Chainsword vs Devils Claw? I dont know enough about either to make an informed decision.
It looks like they would use the same blessings.
csword best melee in the game right now bar none
Elaborate
it got buffed to cloud nine because of the patch
And crit is really broken right now if you take the nodes that replenish ability cdr on crit
letting you walk into hordes and keep getting your ult back
So does it boil down to a simple moveset difference? Aka pick whichever I like?
its ease of access- you only need to learn how to press left mouse- coupled with its overbuffed base stats making it a huge statstick, makes it OP
there is no moveset diff
Or is the damage objectively better on one or the other
there is only one chainsword
Csword vs Devils Claw
@digital turtle is the authority on devil's claw
Chainsword is quite strong rn, Devils Claw is also strong but not as much. Chainsword has really good single target with the rev, DClaw has a parry. Pick wisely.
I'd ask him
@neon jetty small adjustment to your build that's probably personal preference tbh, I wonder if you've tried dropping the Left side first node dip (1) and opting to use that point to pick up the 10% Attack Speed that starts the Martyrdom tree (2)
how are you squishing the skill tree for screenshots like that
Mod
not a bad idea,
the reason I hadn't is i felt like the knife didn't need the attack speed, do you think its helpful?
this build exploits the current implementation of stripped down in combination with some stam regen and some other stuff to basically be the old version of zealot except also immune to gunfire
what talents are people prefering for evis?
are the crit builds worthwhile with bloodletter?
Do you have a link to a full build template?
ok when I click on this it doesnt go to the right message, the heck?
I double checked that its the right link and it is
maybe discord is just weird idk
honestly, very much enjoy the talent tree for zealot
compared to the other classes I looked at (ogryn, vet), there seems to be a lot of really fun trades you can do in direction
that support build looks so strong. I made something I am curious if it will be shit.
this is crit zealot?
why make the team immortal when I can make myself invisible
I was thinking of just bringing a standard evis.
I worry about missing out the 20% damage to unyielding
takes second wind kek
I wanted to see if it worked with swift certainty
Im just joking
lol. me too. I agree 50% damage reduction with 100% uptime is tooo good to pass up
"I dont get hit"
Gets toughness on Dodge
Well if you dont get hit you have no toughness to gain xD
but I dont know what I'd drop
maybe EWEW
I remember EWEW was busted, not sure if it still is
I want to be near enemies to begin with
free toughness regen sounds insane to me lol
on top of coherency regen
gotta do the math tho
It never really was busted, it's a decent toughness regeneration ability, though (not spectacular, but it can keep you afloat in encounters with horde enemies)
real simple numbers, 10 swings turns to 11
if you already have high crit, do you REALLY need that 11th swing in the same timeframe?
@neon jetty I tried Uncanny/Executor...didn't really like it with the stealth assassin thing. I'm thinking more now on Mercy Killer/Rending Backstab blessings
i don't have t4 Ruthless Backstab or Lacerate to try
I have maniac, flak and Uncanny + mercy killer on mine
feels pretty good, but i need to try other combos
i do think running "unarmoured" would be nice
i struggle with it against hordes sometimes
but hard to give up m aniac and flak
i just rely on the bleed talent in the tree
im unsure if it would be better to have a bleed blessing
but i do like how my breakpoints feel on specials and elites stabbing them with heavies or even light spamming
I'm okay with mutants if I can get a couple of crits in. I really like Ruthless Backstab to 1 shot crushers. Even with the stronger stealth, can't do it with backstab w T3 Ruthless. If I could do it with the weaker stealth w/ Ruthless, then I think I'm locked in on that
horde is where i struggle, which is why i started bringing an agri braced or a flame thrower (but they both have high spread and make throwing daggers less reliable, which stinks)
I like Mercy Killer too, but I feel like Lacerate would just help accelerate crits. Like do light and then heavy head
I use flamer too since we're already getting bonus dmg going for unyielding node
this would be a cool breakpoint, do you know for sure it works or you're wanting to test it?
and the knife helps with the lighter specials at range we miss out with flamer anyways
I like the stronger stealth, i CHUNKED some bosses the other day using it
but its MUCH more limiting
being able to stealth longer + more often is nice
i know for sure crusher dies with t3 and stronger stealth. I'm gonna test without stronger stealth, cause i like being able tos pam shroud more
the other issue is the anti-synergy of stacking high weak-point dmg, and also wanting to hit things in the back
and it helps in case you have to rez
if only we could have dual knives w/2 blessings each 🥹
yeah...Ruthless + Stronger Stealth 1 shot crusher. But it's not worth taking it to take out the 1 crusher since if it's one you'd be fine anyways without it and if it's multiple, then you're still vulnerable
What's the blessing+perk combo I want on my shredder auto pistol for Auric difficulties
what would you change?
I'll keep hunting for one with lower mobility adn higher pen either way.. but curious about trying this one for a crit build
if going for crit i think that's fine
at least you can switch around savage sweep w rampage or wrath to see if you like those better
@oblique skiff it's what i'm currently running. knife is lacerate|ruthless backstab. kantreal meme w/flechette|scattershot
maybe chainsword can be viable for the speed bleed build
if only chaxe got the same buff as sword did
Pretty darn happy with this roll, what would be worth changing on this?
thanks!
It's a mod, Smaller Skill Tree on the Mod Nexus
https://www.nexusmods.com/warhammer40kdarktide/mods/214
About 0.40 to 0.45 is enough reduction to fit the screen
How are you liking the throwing knives over the stun grenade?
throwing knives inherit your weapon's blessings iirc
plus they do relativel high weakspot damage
although stuns are very useful, knife zealot is very single target focused regardless
unless you do like a hybrid with the flamer or something
also remember that they arc in the air but have no damage fall off 😄
That makes sense. I made a crit bleed heavy IX build with stun grenade and I was worried that with so much hybridization it would be weak, haven’t had time to test it
biggest thing to remember with the talent tree is that it costs points to not go down one single path
That’s actually really good, especially for high stagger weapons
if you go from starting on the right alllllll the way to the left, that costs you like 2-3 more points
yeah and knife needs a lot of points to actually output the damage
aside from survivability, the survivability is the sheer amount of speed you have
which is fine, but its a cost that you should know
knife is purely relying on gamesense and positioning lol
I survive thanks to the god emperors will thank you very much
no mercy killer or uncanny on knife?
knife blessings are wild, i feel like everyone rocks something different.
yeah clearly my level 30+4 zealot teammates don't because they just run off and die
then they should praise the emperor more 🤷♂️
true...
Thank you both very much! I wanted a fast sword with high crit, but group synergy and even though it barely hits the cap node it has enough of everything to be survivable and fast and high damage. At least that’s the hope
but also the people who play knife very selfishly tarnish my own reputation
people complain about my knife build until i do 600k damage in 30 seconds lmao
anyway flesh tearer lacerate or like mercy killer lacerate
really trying to figure out what the best knife blessings are. I was rocking Uncanny + Mercy killer and relying on bleed form talent tree only, for max dmg/backstabs etc.
Is a bleed blessing on the knife necessary? Should I be rocking ruthless backstab?
i wish i could get 3 blessings on knife lol
if in doubt, flesh tearer lacerate
if you know what you're doing, mercy killer lacerate
uncanny strike... works? but you can apply rending with a hand cannon revolver
ive never seen anyone suggest DOUBLE bleed blessings
plus bleed doesnt care about armour anyway
the more the merrier
is that actually ideal tho
applying bleed on crit from both the talent and the blessing plus more just because
for dueling elites, getting kills and assassinating targets?
one backstab is enough to kill a crusher for me
and anything else, really
i stab things once and run to the next enemy
you mean you backstab it, then let it bleed out?
because I apply so much bleed stacks and it ramps up so quickly they die before i even get to the next one
yes
scourge + lacerate + flesh tearer
thats like 12 bleed stacks or something? lmao
how do apply rend on the revolver?
also, i feel like the revolver is a trap, why would i want more single target when i have knife + throwing knives?
isn't flamer, braced auto, shredder etc a nice choice to cover your weakness
also, isnt there a max of bleed stacks?
double bleed blessings just sounds overkill, but i could be wrong
hand cannon
crits apply rending
then the other blessing was called point blank i think
crit increase on melee kill
ill send my skill tree when i can later, but the basic gameplay loop is backstab -> pop a gunner in the distance or something
again, bleed doesn't care about armour
so if you just apply enough it works
plus if i backstab a crusher from stealth they die in one hit anyway so its really not an issue
what matters is mobility
oh and high damage obv
i usually rock crucian roulette, and point blank or reload blessing. but hand cannon doesn't sound bad.
i just felt like with knife I wanted something i can pull out and spray if overwhelmed. I have throwing knives to take out a special at medium range
i rock revolver with other melee weapons all the time
just seemed like a limiting choice with an invis knife build, but i could be wrong
this is not my experience, even with dmg blessings
I love the knives in general. Really useful for the squishier specials. It can even 2 shot mutants
well, what keystone are you running?
if overwhelmed you go invisible after stabbing 2 people
crits & backstabs refill your invis
Im gonna try that next. I know lacerate isnt the best but it is fun to use.
if you are in a horde and not with your team that is bad positioning
knife zealot gameplay is run out to kill the gunners oppressing your team and run back
you gotta use your mobility to be whereever your teammates need you lol
so revovler is great to quickdraw and pop a sniper or a gunner or something
knives also stagger gunners to get up close faster
Knives are good to help if your ranged is in a bind or like flamer for closer range
It's like Jett knives can just jump and throw
you can do a hybrid knife build with flamer really well, but me personally i either run support zealot or knife zealot with nothing really inbetween now
both include bleed because of how stupid powerful it is though
criterator with bloodletter and bloodthirsty goes hard
i used to run the bolter on knife but revolver is a lot less clunky
if only laspistol was good, or they added a bolt pistol
usually inox judgement. this is my build. i swap it around a bit tho.
Ive tried it with both stealth passives (right now just rocking more duration, as the dmg + extra cooldown felt meh with knife)
i've also tried it with more defensive/passive stuff and dropping invocation of Death, both felt ok.
I like Piety more after trying both
you can save 2 skill points by not getting annoint in blood or whatever middle tree is called
kinda useless anywya
also run piety
thats why youre not doing damage
momentum is... fine? but its wasted on the knife build
also personally i don't run any augments on shroudfield because i recharge is so much anyway
i run both ability modifiers in the momentum & piety tree because backstabber is an insane perk lol
you're the only person in here or at all ive ever seen to claim to stack this much bleeding. Everyone always goes 1 bleed blessing, 1 dmg blessing.
I can't help but feel its overkill and you'll hit bleed stacks cap anyway without 2, aren't you just dropping breakpoints with no dmg blessings on your criterator, knife, etc
yeah because people who stack bleed & damage are nerds
why? Knife already has 30% base crit. Its just a bunch of acrit chance and thats kinda it.
you get tons of other stats from Inox Judgement - on paper anyway.
in practice what is it about piety that feels better?
you can stack so much bleed its not even funny
yeah its glorified guaranteed crits
its awesome
Just makes it even faster shroud too
bleed stacks have a cap, do they not?
and it lets you one shot crushers w a backstab
don't know and don't really care when i apply max bleed stacks with one hit
I didnt think backstab was worth it for a single crusher
so you're not min maxing, just stacking bleed bc it feels better?
also the reason to run lacerate is when you just iight spam into a horde and kill everything with bleed crits anyway
It'll just take 2 instead with a shorter cd shroud
maybe i need to test myself
if you go all into bleed damage doesnt matter
because bleed damage stacks incredbly well
Yeah thats why I like lacerate for hordes
anything that takes more than 1 backstab dies of bleed
and lacerate for hordes, yes, you wont always proc flesh tearer
if at all
Im thinking lacerate and mercy now
mercy might work but that requires hitting the weakspot
most of the time not happening on most elites when backstabbing
and if youre fighting something head-on you're playing knife wrong ngl
lacerate or flesh tearer, if only choosing 1"?
Id do lacerate
and the enemie that can be weak spotted from behind die from a single backstab anyway
lacerate
but do flesh tearer anyway
it's just so much bleed
again ill show you the full build when i can it's alarmingly effective considering im really resource poor and my lacerate is tier 2 lmao
i heard a good player say uncanny is the best blessing on knife
followed by mercy killer
which is why i built mine like that
and it hits hard
well they're fuckin' wrong lmao who cares about rending
bleed. goes. through. armour.
lol
apply rending with the revolver
if it matters
im gonna replace uncanny right now with Flesh tearer, I only have flesh tier 3 i need to farm plasteel
but I'll try it
but its slow, has to stack, and leaves the enemy as a problem for a long time while it bleeds out. Others will waste resources shooting/killing it, maybe take dmg by it anyway while it bleeds out
how i always felt about bleeds
it doesn't evne matter too much, knife zealot is - again - purely relying on game awareness
all gunners get one shot
the only enemies that don't get one hit (when not striking from stealth) are crushers
which you can stab... again
to stack even more bleed
and kill them instantly
i dont use revolver with knife build personally, bc i feel like you need a spray and pray gun or flamethrower to cover its weaknesses when surrounded/overwhelmed
i see where they were going with uncanny strike but truly, who cares
just stack more bleed and wn
just as the emperor intended
Im gonna try the double bleed blessing
I use kantreal tho w flechette cause it's fun w scattershot
if you are surrounded, go to stealth
if you are surrounded and don't have stealth charged, spam light attack and watch as the bleed crits magically refill your ability instantly (20% per backstab kill, and for some reason bleed kills count as backstabs more often than not)
if you are surrounded and can't do either, that's called 'bad positioning' and you should've been with your team
knife zealot can (and I personally have) hold off an entire horde with the sheer amount of stagger you can apply with block pushes
ok so now im rocking this, instead of uncanny.
same build as before.
Should i be rocking piety instead of inox judgement?
Inox is more dmg, attack speed, movespeed - all traded for like 15% crit?
its worth it?
because you have nigh infinite stamina
so running a clunky primay like a flamer or bolter kinda kills the momentum for me
you're saying the bleed itself can crit, and count as a double crit for the purpose of 1.5s cooldown back stacked on top of you're melee strike which can crit?
where does the infinite stamina come from
no, im saying that bleed, for whatever reason, counts as backstab kills (20% CD)
when slashing a horde with lacerate, you do basically guaranteed crits due to fury & scourge, proccing the 1.5s cooldown reduction
running the knife, really
ive been a thunder hammer zealot main for MONTHS, never touched a knife. so this is a knew playstyle to me why im asking so many questions 😛
I dont think inox gives movespeed
knife has a BS amount of stamina, you just need to manage it better
Attack speed, ranged speed, and damage no?
- right tree has bonus stamina & stamina efficiency
you get sprint speed in the node above
Oh I still took that
inox is useless you already swing like youre fuelled by cocaine alone
And I took the 10% attack speed omw to Piety
piety just raises your crit change to basically guaranteed, making you proc flesh tearer on every swing
So I kinda both of best worlds
I actually tried testing this in the meat grinder and didn't notice it triggering
maybe it doesn't work there
that and if you do the heavy attack dash shit you can move faster than bullets can hit you
(if bleed, while standing behind, triggers 20% backstab cooldown)
its really weird because of the way backstab registers
when you are surrounded by 300 groaners or whatever dodging is often times enough to count as a backstab
this is akin to how team fortress 2 has very dumb backstab hitboxes
i dont know why i think of that but it just clicks lmao
ive been trying to dodge around in circles while light attack spamming to get kills as i rotate behind
works ok
so you do a light slash, dodge to the left or whatever, 3 enemies die and all count as backstab
and with knife, you rock 6s stealth
not the high dmg one
seems like the other one is a trap
nah i dont even use 6s stealth
meant more for thunder hammer 1 shots
This is how I went to Piety
i dont use stealth to hide, i use stealth to do the anime-ass teleport behind elites
dont need more than 2s anyway
double the cooldown is a lot
6s lets you res while stealthed
do an objective
position to an enemy further away
He doesnt take any of the stealth modifiers
Just as base
i don't
yup
can you link me the builder site ill just try to remember my shit from memory lmao
Darktide gamelantern website
you can res while stealthed anyway
its a huge augment (and 40% toughness is no joke) to your main ability
clearly whatever i specced into while in my fugue state of making the bleed build
cheers
Tbh at the end of the day w the flexibility of knife...they're all kinda close
is the 10% attack speed actually worth it? i feel like its not knife attacks so fast anyway
Idk lol i wasnt sure what to take and just wanted to play
Most of it is set in stone for me. But like that node is flexible if im convinced enough
ok this is essentially what i run
You get some attack speed from your inox you gave up tho. So you only have go give up the melee dmg but you're not missing it with ton of crit and bleed
ill get the actual genuine skill tree later this is just what i remember bein good and working
also i feel like missing out on Disdain top left of tree is important dmg on knife
basically, stacking DR and movement + crit bleeds
I felt disdain was more for high cleave weapons
yah
And knife wouldnt benefit as much as like evi
you get all the "required" skills with 27-29 points and the last couple can be allocated into either disdain or whatever
I do
i do
the bottom right augment?
Maybe I misclicked somewhere. Im on my phone lol
I feel like Purge the Unclean is important.
also DIsdain, top left
i was kinda looking at this
yeah the site needs more contrast
I like the extra unyielding
purge the unclean is useless in knife
2 extra skill points, essentially wasted
what was it extra damage against? infested and unyielding or something?
Yeah, that Piety extra crit is a tiny glowing dot lol. You have to zoom in to see it lit up
infested enemies die in 1 backstab anyway
graphic design is my passion
I took it for Crushers for the bleed since I'm not running any rending at all
ya. I find with my build im often top or 2nd boss dmg just slashing boss with bleeds+weakspot hits. maybe its bad?
was thinking of this
It's also not bad to hit dog with kantreal in horde
those points could be used to pick up Shield of Contempt i guess?
or disdain + toughness regain talent in top left?
Also is good for kantreal up close since you have to take ranged dmg bonus for it
2 skill points you can spec into shielf of contempt instead lol
is it that important?
personally, there's no point running the second shroud augment whatever its caled
the one that replenishes toughness or whatever
you dont find toughness regain + dmg reduction helpful?
That toughness regen I felt was too slow and you have the 50% more on melee
with loner youre in 2 coherency always anyway toughness is never the issue
no
you shouldnt be getting hit
i find im squishy on knife, and appreciate all the defensive stats I can get
if you are getting hit on knife zealot its joever
spec into toughness/DR on dodge
and dodge
ik you said you played hammer zealot, but knife is a completely different mindset
getting hit even once is fucking calamitous lmao
you're also not taking annoint in blood. 25% ranged dmg for basically free
doesn't it apply to throwing knives?
no
annoint in blood, in my opinion, is completely useless unless you're running flamer
i just figured ranged dmg meant anything not melee
plus 25% damage doesn't matter when i stack like a 90% crit/rend revolver lol
aaaand its 2 extra skill points
its fine if youre running immolation grenades, but most people aren't
I wasn't taking "second wind" (top right, toughness on dodge).
Could ditch that, and augment your stealth. which gives you 40%.
is that not worth? the dodge toughness is better?
if you really feel you're squishy you can branch off and spec into holy rev/until death but youre kinda throwing piety with that one
dodge toughness you proc way more
because your dodge distance is like 20x larger
i literally "dodge" (as in proc the dodge mechanic" like 4 times in one key press if im in the middle of a horde
oh and also the block attack on knife is surprisingly strong
the time extension i can kinda see being useful, but the toughness regen on leaving stealth is, imo, useless
you shouldnt be getting hit anyway and when you leave stealth youre most likely lunging into a backstab immediately so lol
imagine if knife had thrust...
yeah i basically take the entire right tree
"swift certainty"
how important is it? how much does it actually dodge ranged shots?
could i swap it for 6s stealth duration?
i really like the longer duration
because piety is "25 enemies killed nearby" and not by you it procs all the time infinitely
so free crits
i just can't figure out what point to take for it
probably
again i just personally find no use for 6s stealth because i dont stay in stealth for long at all
or i could give up the extra 10% crit on piety

in fact i just proc it to not get gunned down
never
I like the duration to reposition, or rez or w/e
you're just popping it too early if the default 4(?) seconds aren't enough lul
you gotta balance just good movement/positioning with activating stealth
lots of things can happen in 3 seconds
like a zealot backstabbing a crusher
i might need to run a game with and without swift certainty to see how much it does.
I'm unsure ever since using it exactly what beenfit its really giving
id recommend just trying un-augmented shroudfield, once you learn how to play around it it’s just a free skill point
orrrr you can replace the 50% more toughness on kill with the 6s stealth
ya, i'll do both
that could work too
i still recommend lacerate, kills hordes surprisingly quickly
I thought about this one, or toughness on dodge either or.
but already so low on toughness/defense options i feel like its a trap to do so
dont have t3 or better lacerate learned yet. rocking this right now, im out of plasteel and can't do more lol
gonna give it a try, swap some things up, i'll update how i feel about it in a few hours when im home from work
you have to dodge anything and everything lol
in an ideal word you’d only ever take damage from the occasional gunner you mistime
understood but if I take a hit, not being able to get toughness back up quickly to protect HP seems bad
out of plasteel is a mood
if you take a hit just go stealth or block push in my experience
those resources is just a testament to the crafting system
1.4 million gold, almost 60k melks bucks, 25k diamantine.
16 plasteel
yeah
they should make it so that you can only craft weapons with tier 1 perks and pay diamantine to upgrade em
instead of everything being plasteel
you're playing damnation+ and auric/maelstrom with this build right?
and its effective?
i assume so
just making sure
i once discussed a cool build idea i hadn't heard anyone do here with a guy for a long time
then he told me he only plays malice and heresy lol
this doesn't seem like that
just gotta make sure lmao
auric all the time
this build relies on your teammates carrying their own weight too, to be fair
obviously way better with comms
it’s a lot easier to prioritise enemies your teammates are being killed by
but you will struggle killing everything solo if too crazy
yeah basically
i can infinitely chain invis as long as there’s like 5 of any enemy on screen (so all the time in auric)
i have saved plenty of games purely just going invis and reviving the ogryn or something like that
not really
again, lacerate + balancing crowd control with block push
but generally yes - this is a single target build
in my opinion it’s generally nice to have 2 zealots 1 ogryn 1 vet on the team
one zealot runs relic the other runs knife lol
@hot void I forgot to ask. For clearing hordes, are you spamming heavies?
with what
with a chainsword i’ve found it’s generally better to block attack -> heavy
but just spamming light attacks works too
devil’s claw i’ve no clue because i never use it lol
Still want Wesus opinion but ty
I need your expertise guys
I didnt take the 25 reduc on dodge cause the window was so short
Oh wait i didnt scroll down
Ignore me
Get inventory grid is my opinion lol easier to see all
No of course not. More light attacks for more speed for more crit procs. Heavies are for mutants and other elites/specialists
Spam lights?
yessir
Im only confused because the lights dont look like they hit a lot of enemies
They do
https://darktide.gameslantern.com/builds/9a54b210-5169-4f82-98fd-a1f902b5fbd8/anti-shooter-build I have been having alot of fun with this build
I believe it's like 15? with savage sweep
I mean like verticle swing vs horizontal
Test it out in psykhanium with the mob spawner mod, you can damage a deceptively huge amount of trash
Im just thinking in general without testing. Some swings just look like they go up and down, so how does that clear a lot of enemies?
marty 🛌 no shield of contempt 😴 no good balance 😪
martyr isn't top dps or anything but that's completely negated by just running thunder hammer
i personally stick to criterator bleed stacking but a complete and utter tank zealot with martyr is funny
oh and you get to have like 12 wounds in tier 1 games for shits and giggles
hammer definitely wants momentum
imo you don't need it because other zealots run it and I don't get hit twice so it doesn't matter
true
the best counterpoint to a tank playstyle is "dont get hit"
which , in darktide at least, is actually good advice and possible to do
with that build I crit so much where if a shooter starts aiming at me I just press F
There are enough people playing medium builds where I can go crazy with a specialist build like this and perform well and clutch
I don't think Disdain is working right now. The passive never procs in meatgrinder, or live play, even when multiple enemies are grouped together. Additionally, I don't feel like I kill any faster with it.
exactly
ah. good info
everyone seems to be running jack of all trades builds
It does. There isn't a buff icon but it does infact work.
You can easily test it by only equipping disdain and using something like a Caxe on a Mauler or Rager. Hit them normally and you'll see the numbers fluctuate a little, use the PA on some poxwalkers or groaners for cleave then test it again.
Works fine.
Hey lads, what ranged is best if I didn’t go the range route? I’m struggling with gunners and snipers mostly
revolver
and/or bolter depending on playstyle
Does the rend also xfer on throwing knives? From revolver
it should
HH Autoguns would probably work best. I recall the Vraks VII is the only single fire HH and the Vraks III being the best for burst. Revolver has a blessing where you can get rending on crits for your melee weapon.
I wouldn't recommend a Boltgun rn.
i recommend a bolter because it’s a bolter
to hell with meta full auto into a crowd
I wouldn't say that I'm a meta slave or anything. Just giving recommendations. Boltgun horde clear is a waste of a ranged weapon slot tbh.
Thank you for the thought out and detailed response. Which blessings in your opinion?
actually called out smh
revolver with hand cannon/point blank is all you really need, zealot is too mobile to use an autogun imo
then again i haven’t used one since launch
I'm actually not too familiar with the HH's specific needs, but I imagine it's No Respite + Opening Salvo for regular use. However I do see that you can get Deadly Accurate + Headhunter/Surgical and it'll probably perform quite well if you can hit heads. I don't know BPs for it though, best bet is to ask the main channel for perk selection.
I wish we had 6 slot revolvers or even 8. Granted larger grade ammo takes up more space like the Judge, but it’d be cool to have more shots
Thanks again! Will just play with these and see if there are any that suit
we should
this current revolver is a “light frame”
there’s a medium/heavy in the files
heavy revolver will be really funny i reckon, mammoth gun ass damage
Damn, gunna end up making a gunslinger build in that case
Gonna make a fast zealot hammer build tmrw
Dual revolver build
can you take a video of your build 1 shotting a crusher in the meat grinder?
i dont see how its possible
16 stacks max of bleed seems to be 50 dmg per tick
which wont even kill one from half hp
without any other dmg or rending perks
you can't hit a crusher for half hp with a backstab or headshot from stealth with knife
i just feel like i have to be missing something
now bleed seems to effect some targets differently, for example a mauler can get up to 188 dmg/stack
cant be arsed to take a video but it's close enough™
from a single backstab outta stealth
bleed does most of the remaining health + it inflicts stagger lol
stacking disdain or whatever also helps
actually that's probably what i'm missing in the meatgrinder because actually playing i consisntently kill crushers in one backstab
it's justs stacking crit and damage bonuses
I only did with the harder hitting stealth w/ ruthless backstab. i could only do half dmg in one heavy attack w/ 6 sec stealth
it's also cuz you have basically guaranteed crits if the target is already bleeding
so if i tag the crusher first with bleed the backstab is a guaranteed crit every time
Alright, back at it again this time with my own Zealot Kreigsman Martyrdom Build that I fixed up for the 100th time
Weapon Choices: Chainsword + Flamer
Chainsword running Savage Sweep and Shred (pref Flak / Carapace altho I keep Maniac for Throwing Knives)
Flamer with Unyielding / Flak and Blaze Away + Overpressure (altho I have Inspiring Barrage instead, doesn't need Coherency and can help in a pinch)
Curios: 3x Wounds, all with at least 5% Toughness and 20% Damage Res vs Gunners each
Talents are probably not optimized 100% but should be able to deal with most content, maybe falls a bit behind Maelstrom
Honestly might drop that one single Toughness node at the top and run Sustained Assault to make up for lack of Rampage on the Chainsword but damage probably isn't the most noticable anyway
I wasn't feeling knife last time I tried it, how does it work with this build?
Knife on this build specifically would suck, you'd just get Carpal Tunnel

Uno momento, I do have a Knife build specifically
I just need knife to not activate the moment I hit the grenade button, it feels weird.
Or I need to remap nades to a button on my mouse.
OH you meant Throwing Knives
So sorry I for some reason thought you meant Combat Blade aka the Knife
No, Throwing Knives are splendid since Flamer can't snipe enemies
One-shot headshot kill most Specials
Two-shot body shot
Don't try to do it on the Elites, Flamer is better for that
But yeah I do agree, I wish it wasn't activated the moment you pressed the Grenade button
Only issue I can think of is carapace then, unless chainsword revs actually saw through that shit now.
I'd love to have the option to hold the Button down
Chainsword Revs actually saw through it now
Good.
Since my Chainsword has Vs Carapace and Fury of the Faithful can annihilate a Crusher even at no Martyr stacks during a Rev, you pretty much own them
Obviously be careful when there's a Crusher patrol xd
Rev Up, Heavy Hit to the Crusher's Head, use Fury of the Faithful in the middle of it, boom dead Crusher
And still got a free Crit hit to enjoy
Only problem this build has is basically most inherent weaknesses of Martyrdom builds: you have to be extra careful of getting hit or you might eat shit cause low HP and Toughness damage bleedthrough into HP
Considering my myriad skill issues, I definitely have trouble
I settled with this in pub damnation using a thammer and agri brauto.
Max alpha thammer was too difficult to play with randos, because it had no utility for 95% of the game.
you should probably at least rub shield of contempt or whatever it’s called
those 3 skill points in the top middle tree hurt
im just not understanding how you're getting this much dmg with no dmg blessing on dagger (double bleed), no rending, and no dmg augment on stealth
i dont get nearly that much dmg. my bleeds max out at 50 dmg per tick, 16 stacks, on the crusher no matter what. the bleed ticks him for MAYBE 1/5th of his HP total. I'm copying you're build and using a similar dagger but with mercy killer + lacerate, Even if i follow up attack several times and full stack the bleed its not enough to kill
Shield of Contempt only works on HP and from my experience, it hasn't done jack shit to save me
Saved a teammate instead which procs my cooldown I think
I did however change that Toughness node to Punishment, the Impact has done much to keep a mixed horde stagger-locked
Also Damage vs Unyielding is just too nice to pass up
my backstab is hitting for 1260 on my dagger. How are you getting 2382 i wonder
1347 if i jump and hit a headshot with mercy killer + i light attacked to bleed first -> stealth -> heavy attack jump backstab in the back of the head
full bleed stacks (50 dmg per tick)
with just the 1 light atk + backstab
this is his HP after the bleed runs its duration after first pic
barely a dent from bleed
im just not getting it...
im not trying to call you out wheet, its a super fun build and im enjoying it
i just dont see the bleed doing that much dmg itself on carapace unless you keep re-applying it. Its weird bc it stacks up on other targets like specialists, non crusher elites for 200~ dmg a tick. Crushers I can't get past 50
however i still dont get how you have 1k+ more dmg than me on the backstab damage itself
any ideas?
im running your exact talent build in this test
idk, crits lol
you need fury for that tbh
armour pen value maybe, idk
i can one hit reapers & bulwarks
and crushers die in 1 as well when i ramp up damage talents
reapers and bulwarks die in 1 hit from the backstab itself, or from bleed after
what perks you have on dagger btw
from the backstab itself
it’s like 4k to bulwarks 3k to reapers
i don’t remember lmao it’s a “workhorse” so it just has fuck all
but iirc like sprint efficiency and unyielding
unyielding does help
i can just about 1 shot reaper
bleed kills it
bulwarks i 1shot
but im not getting that same dmg on crushers
idk i might have some other BS going for me that i forgot about
but it’s prolly disdain + fury stacks
1347 is the max backstab + headshot dmg from behind i come to. AND i have mercy killy on my dagger
i thought you werent rocking disdain
let me try that
i am i just made that other build i sent from memory lmao
1401 with disdain stacked, still not 2.3k
when you're in game mind screenshotting yours? im really trying to figure out how to get that amount of burst dmg
yeah when i can lol
i’m currently sleeping
i can 1 shot crusher with the stealth augment
man it feels good
i might just rock that
and deal with the higher cd
you pull it off cd with smart play anyway
haha no worries, thanks
this was a high intensity damnation
no shock troop or anything tho
but did pretty well, stuck with team mostly
we had a hammer zealot who also was rocking chant
and a psyker using smite infintie stun
i just protected the psyker, and stealthed to assassinate big boys, and engage elite gunner groups
How is this for a crit support zealot? As a weapon for hordes and restoring my ult
Guys, does a thammer crit build work ? I'm tryng to find a perfect hybrid between the meme OS thammer shroud build and the regular "tank" thammer build
using this.
so the build CAN be competitive, i felt like i crushed that round @cosmic shuttle
but i added the stealth augment, and dropped 10% sprint speed
felt fine, but i mighta been carried a bit by 2 teammates with support ults enabling me
but i did most dmg to boss lol
I noticed sometimes stealth instant resets, despite me not having killed anything to do so i just get it again after going stealth
is there another class triggering this maybe?
not worth it
lemme get this straight
martyrdom build is good right ?
3 wound curios and all
this one for exemple
It's decent, max wounds you can get on damnation is 7
which is 2 short of getting your full potential
so it's not like bad by any means
will do fine in damnation
Well, 6 - the 7th bar will be your last
(it also stacks to 6 only)
I suppose in auric difficulty it's not that good amiright ?
Wrong, I use it to quite good success in HiSTG
yea definitely don't run it into auric unless you are already insanely good as a player in general, you're gonna have a bad time
It’s definitely attention heavy and you can’t afford getting hit repeatedly
But the payoff is immense
I'm currently doing damnation Histg, tried auric once or twice and we got wiped
I feel like I'm pulling my weight so far in damnation, most of the time we wipe cause of the director sending us 5 muties, 5 trappers + flamers and such
or because we have a rushing zealot or a random lvl 15 trying it out
Scoreboards don’t tell a whole story, but these are some of the boards that I managed to pull off with an Eviscerator and an Agri shotgun
All HiSTG games
The last board is a loss, I made a stupid mistake by the end of mid-event on Comms-plex and we wiped miserably
Even if I don’t refer to a scoreboard, I can generally see how well or bad I’m performing. If many things die by my hand with this build, and I don’t die (a lot), it probably means that I’m doing well enough
aight so I'm not so bad then
got it
imma try this build out after I level up my ogryn
(because I have 0 crafting components left I need to farm these bad boys)
This is my precvious post with the build, in case you are interested
It’s basically a pre-patch 13 Zealot, which enables a high risk, high reward playstyle
It does work with a thammer tho right ?
Maybe, I haven’t tried
The hammer is too slow for me - Evis is extremely fast and has good, responsive attack patterns that only get better with attack speed increases

Any chanters?
Chorus builds?
I really should try some of these other builds
I keep falling into staying in my comfortable basically pre-2.0 style Zealot build
Because I already loved the shit out of it
It’s not my playstyle, but it enables maaany crazy things
I'm gonna try and make a meme build.
How does this work? Does it stack on a single enemy?
There's no buff icon I don't think.
No buff icon
I hope it stacks on a single enemy.
I’ve no idea what it does, sorry
I assume it's a Power stack
You'd have to do some extensive smacking in the Psykhanium
Woo got a clutch on my first time playing meme chant build.
you on console?
Can someone recommend a fast dopamine crackhead knife build?
