It isn't as daunting once you get started with it. I'm sure there's posing tools online but your best learning tool is going to be photographic references. I used to work with reference. You just find the balance and proportions you wanna keep, pick a few photos or drawings with similar proportions, and just use them as foundations for a few excercise-only sketches. Then, once you got a few works of your own you feel are right, start using those as reference. And you just... keep doing it, I guess. Small corrections over time and constant practice.
Depending on your style, you might also start as realistically as possible and slowly scale it down until you get to your own artstyle.

What I was taught to do when first sketching was to break the body down into basic shapes so it's easier to understand things like light source & proportions. For gesture, quick flowy line movement is good for a very basic idea of how you want a character to pose by making lines for the shoulders, center line, and legs (but photo references also help lol)

Honestly... I don't know anybody who will look at their own art and find it cool. But that's not true, like all drawings, yes it has flaws but it also has very good stuff in it, I'm thinking about the pose, or the background which I find very interesting in my opinion. And if you're not satisfied with your art, still, you'll always have time to practice and improve!
And still, I think that looks very nice :D

You don't have to be able to draw in order to be an artist; there's a reason why people who perform on stage or people who make music are considered artists. It's all about personal expression, and I'd say painting miniatures falls under that category Besides, I doubt I could paint a nice looking miniature to save my life. I can't handle small details or paintbrushes the way I've seen others do

Wanted to draw something for my Zealot Preach, so I made some art about how he used to be as a violent fanatic and how he is now after his crisis of faith. Two very different kinds of miserable

A few things summed up together from back when Preach came from a Only War RPG campaign:
He met a daemon for the first time which went quite badly, realized the "die for the Emperor for forgiveness to the crimes of parents you never even knew" wasn't great (he was born in the Penal Legion rather than being incarcerated), also met a terrible inquisitor that both abused his position for selfish motives and straight up revealed other gods were real (not the best at his job).
There were a whole lot of stuff I don't have the space or time to specify, but in general it was a mess, and with him being basically a mindless fanatic with very little actual personality beside his faith back then, the instant he started to develop the smallest doubt it all came crumbling down.
So now he's just kind of Sad and Angry all the time, but he does love his friends.
