It's a big community event that takes place in July where artists get together and pick a team from a chosen theme (One year's theme was Vampires vs Werewolves, this years is Seafoam vs Stardust). The whole thing is like one big art trade event where people draw each others characters to gain points for their team, and at the end the team with the most points wins. I don't think there's any real benefit to winning it's just something to do for fun : )

Developing a skill like drawing takes time. I've been drawing for over half my life, and i still feel like there's lots of things i could do better. Worrying about improvement doesn't really go away, but i promise you are improving even if you can't see it.

"Would it make sense" is always a bit of a funny question with 40k.

• Short answer: Yeah, I actually like that design a lot.

• Long Answer: Still yeah, because nothing in 40k actually makes sense, which is fun, and I STILL like the design a lot, BUT do expect Tzeench memes from literally any and all annoying strangers everywhere. Plus it is a very noticeable mutation which will get the average 40k human hateful fast. Still, Psykers are always that: hated and mistreated but very conveniently kept around because, as it turns out, magic is fucking useful. So, as long as said psyker has a rogue trader, inquisitor or even just a militarum commander watching their back, they'll be fine. (In the context of darktide, that can just amount to being part of the warband, and thus being in service to Rannick)

I think that the sword's lineart is too thin compared to the rest of the drawing, you could maybe make them match so it looks better overall?
Also, your character's pupils are at a place where it looks like that they're looking upfront, maybe you could try putting them more to the right, in the direction which they're about to shoot. This way it'll look more dynamic since the eyes are usually the first thing you're looking at.
There, I hope it's understandable, and ofc this is only my opinion so you don't have to do that if you don't feel like it! c:
