however once the myriad of issues cropped up for our "hero" sarpedon i really started enoying it though im not sure in the way old ben wanted me to

there's something so enjoyable to me about a story that is constantly setting our main "heroic" hero back on his ass and every single plan of his falls completely through and leaves them all worse off

this may be why i enjoyed the chud lords trilogy so much, a real comedy of errors that one

but truely like the ammount of the characters making a delicate plan backed by centuries of battle experience and expecting it to work, then shifting perspective and all the people being like "there's no way thats gonna work"

its very fun

i think i enjoy when characters fail in 40k
