i am mercifully done with my second read through of night lords omnibus and i gotta say its incredible how 6 pages of more than a bibles worth of story can really leave you with a bad taste in your mouth

now i move on to better or maybe even worse stuff

but seriously did he get like a letter from john workshop telling him to write an epilogue specifically tying to the 13th black crusade

its so hamfisted to a point of souring a lot of the ending

like it feels limp and pointless, and a weird extension to a completed story that leaves it open to nothing

like i always felt part of talos and the 10ths story is drawing out the futility of their legion, how none of them fight for anything, and then they all die fighting for what is arguably nothing at all, and they're all proud of it. its poetic even

then they go btw here's this aside hope you care and you cant

cause you know the result of it, its nothing, its just teasing you with slop and bullshit

maybe im just mad about having read it a second time and seeing its effect on the story i know more clearly now but still

Its a very well-written commissar character exploration piece as well as one for Krieg and their inhumanity.

the tenths story is more a microchasm of konrads struggle in the end days than the whole of the 8th

its what i took away and its what made me really appreciate void stalkers story more than the other two

The other one was censured

Nothing points out that either were against the Imperium, probably fell in the Great Crusade

A big theory I like was during one of the 3 encounters of the Imperium vs the Rangda
