I...absorb em in audiobook form tbh and while I do read em back to back. There's long ass breaks between really when I got them drip fed

Im satisfied enough with Cain particularly as Sandy Mitchell does a good job of illustrating the brutality of some of the weapons without it becoming insufferably descript.
One of my main criticisms however is that Cain's POV is not great? For example he frequently misidentifies law enforcement units.
Or just doesnt care. Ok. Nice. The hiver doesnt care.
But Praetors? Did he actually work with the Adeptus Arbites at Adumbria? Provosts? He does it quite a lot and so when he's describing an arbites pointing a large crude weapon at him i'm like "Wait, so did bro get an Exaction shotgun levelled at him?" That sorta thing.
While also respecting that there'd be pacing issues if all the Black Library read like the damn lexicanum website

Sheriffs, Marshalls, Provosts, all of these could come under that terminology (Praetor might be a stretch, I’m not sure but you can’t tell with gothic)
