Entertaining ? Probably. Deep and well written? No
Catachan Devil is ass
LOL
i didn't even know there was one
Twice Dead King was great and the complete opposite of The Infinite and the Divine. Which was also great. Gotta find an ebook for Severed now.
Yeah like ngl
he raises a great point
Book about a Warmaster/Lord Solar
Lets place him in the middle of bumfuck nowhere
ive read some Leontus pages, its ok so far
booo!
nah bumfuck orks are ok
nah, bad
Im at like the first few chapters so far since i got it from a friend, its really mid atm, not expecting much
yeah, same, guard books most of the time like this. Was quite surprised by Fire Made Flesh, i thought its mediocre at best. got massively wrong. I hope the last dawn of fire book is good, otherwise 3/4 DoF books are boring
as hell
Same im legit sad at how boring/uninteresting Dawn of Fire has been after like almost 6+ novels
It's ok the silent king is in the next so it will be a best seller
💀
souldrinekrs book 1 is alright so far
i swear to god i thought one guy was gonna go super sayin at some point "I DIDNT CARE ANYMORE I DIDNT CARE IF LIVED OR DIED I DIDNT CARE IF MY BROTHERS DIED and then it happened...."
hell yeah
finished The Infinite and The Divine as well as Dark Imperium this week, pleasantly surprised by both of them.
Pleasantly surprised by the infinite and the divine? Ive never heard anyone say a bad thing about it
finished it, a damn cool story
and about jeans its just "and now he knows..." - the end
thanks for suggestion
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Daniel Day Lewis can act fairly well
I’m not expert, but he should continue pursuing that line of work I think
Souldrinkers are the emperors favorite mutated freaks
Glad you liked it, it was a pleasant surprise to me compared to the average Guard short story. I feel the author really exploited the simple premise to its full extent.
I can: the combat is the worst part of it because that's when the real fun character dynamics and humor give way to what seems like picking model names off of a sheet passed to the author by a GW intern.
"Trazyn, I swear upon the tombs of our forebears that if you put another black hole in my ritual chamber, I will go back in time to remove the concept of 'smug' from ever existing so that you can never gain satisfaction from being so insufferable.
Now, stop being like that and help me deal with this . . . "
Checks notes.
"Manufactorum Slippadix Bophadees pattern twin-linked Las-stubber on a Sphynx Medium-Skirmish Transport, available now to Imperial Guard and Agents of the Imperium, before it ruins my plans!"
Assassinorum: Kingmaker had the same issue.
(I still love TIatD, but those sections always drag for me)
Shouldve had a kissing scene too smh
some real toxic yaoi type stuff
Waiting for his Celestine/Greyfax book fr
still dont understand how dorn made the psyker chapter
Mutations don't play favourites
He picked the psyker mutation from the character creation menu
🚬 angron has more psy potential than dorn 😡 must be xenos curroption time to kill the souldrinkers
Hey the Ultramarines made the Mortifactors, there's always the possibility of a weird kid
How do u know dorn doesn’t have the greatest of them all
He just uses it constantly 2 calm the spiritz
And autistically impose his sense of order
Khorne puts the man in a desert and asks “u mad” 4 thousands of years
🚬 so his psyker ability was knowing where walls would be built only when they are being built
Dorn just recites Livy’s History of Rome 260000 times
Unpopular opinion the dorn stache looks dumb af
dorn is stupid
And this Dorn looks good
Facial expression is more or less how I imagine Dilara’s 2 b when looking @ chat
that just looks like a normal space marine with a cape
U look like a normal space marine with a cape
thank u thank u
What’s he supposed to have an extra head or some shit
i dunno i was thinking bigger and angrier
We all know there was NO warpcraft that went into the primarch project
None at all
Nope nothing
No shady deals with the Old Four
No secret emperor + 4 frenemy groupchat
so tru king so truu
Sharted blood
I… amazing response.
Hope this was in ref 2 Dorn otherwise might want to get that looked at
BRUH
WJAT HES A FUCKING ||SPIDER NOW|| I WAS ROOTING FOR HIM
THERES A ||SPACE HULK NOW|| damn this book goes 0-100 QUICK
i told you man
shit goes hard
hates mutants
becomes mutant
Serves him right for betraying his rightful chapter master
is this the origin of the tramp stamp

agreed
anyone know anything about this book? https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Xenology
Xenology is a Warhammer 40,000 background book written by Simon Spurrier. It details all the main alien races of the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and some less well known ones. It features artwork including detailed dissections of the subjects investigated. It also includes some details of the Ordo Xenos. Xenology was published in 2006 and is now ...
I only know that Simon Spurrier is a good writer
i heard it was like a nice little beastiary/codex but its not available anywhere
in lore its heavily discredited and contradicted by existing 40k lore. It is however a very cool in universe look at stuff
and also a look at an absolutely deranged admech biologist
tldr the info in the book is mostly bad(intentionally) but its still great
I.E we know Eldar don't shit out crystals
and ork blood is red
was this the one where they didn't believe necrons exist
Its the one where a necron appears in the end as the plot twist villain
and the main Inquisition investigator gets kidnapped lmao
No, the one where they belive Necrons don't exist is generally accurate to existing lore
ah
Aside from some derranged ramblings
or unreliable sources
which are marked by the author

Anyways it also does the whole Craftworld Eldar are 10x more mysterious then the Drukhari thing
which is lore I really like

Dark Eldar get like one single blurry photo image in this yeah lol
even the eldar they got in the book plot is an exodite
nah dark eldar get a ton of images
Nah they dont
Liber Xeno is like, extremely lame
its mid
you simply don't like hearing rants about how the cells in their body
told you to do murder
it wastes pages talking about really useless shit
Xenology better
Its meant to be an in universe book
Yeah but thats the issue
Ok but how many lasgun shots?
its not written well
I curse you with shitting out crystals
AAA-
like a lot
they're giant psychic hornets
that lay eggs in psyker heads
lol
Then its a dangerous xenos
OH CMON
Omg spoilers
I HAVENT READ IT
Im going to bitch about this for months
still 20 years old
Hmm.
sorry i couldnt consume 30 years of media in 2
Sounds like you need some indoctrination
😡
Its only about 1 year of constant loring
Quit your job, enter the hypno indoctrinator
Come out a chud
it is, its written like a technical book
thats why I like it

Xenology is. Xenologis is like "hur hur im a rogue trader look at me get shit wrong"
Exactly, yakub grafted so you could chud
Liber Xenologis is def written like a technical book lol
what
beyond some of the weird tangents
Yeah and it doesnt do a good job
Yes it does
peak
no
die
Ive read it 0 times, it does
Fight me outside the costo parking lot

I'll bring the pipes

Waffle house is the pvp enabled zone
Dont get the town guards aggroed
i love waffle house
I'm still unneccesarily bothered by the fact that everyone has the same red blood.
All the pretty colors that you can splatter out of aliens is half the fun of most games that have them!
hello I want to get started on reading 40k instead of just playing
please recommend books about Salamanders!!!
oh..
Sorry to say most of the Salamander books are not that good
but if you want to check out the usual suspects that are recommended as a starters for the universe, you can check out the pinned messages in this channel
If you really want to get into Salamander books I guess you could try out the Tome of Fire anthology, some really like it but most don't. It focuses entirely on Salamanders
I've finished over a hundred 40K books at this point and still have yet to find a Salamanders one I liked.
They're mostly relegated to side characters but have three books during the HH and obviously the aforementioned Tome of Fire.
vulkan lives was good
Salamanders books are infamously pretty lackluster, yeah.
much pain...
sounds corny but are there any other books about "good guys" in the 40k universe? I know it's grimdark but I think that it's a cool contrast
Uhhh generally no, everyone is a good shade of awful.
even the "good" characters are in novels where they are usually like side-characters that end up being horrifically killed

it seems there is only war...
I could possibly maybe recommend Outgunned and its sequel Aboye and Beyond though, its protagonist is a REALLY relatable dude claled Kile Simlex
Hes a propagandist (his entire job is to lie to people) but he has a really nice arc across the two books and is a genuinely good person that becomes very jaded through the course of the two stories
(theres also a side mechanic character called Plient who I feel like you'd like a lot
)
🙄 dont fall for it shes gonna spoil the books as soon as you start reading them
is this you giving me characters to root for then wait for me to react when they inevitably die
Only spoiler ill give no Simlex doesnt die lol
don listen to clad when it comes to any opinion
the book is really good and "small" in scale as well, its just him on a backwater swamp agri-world
hes ironically a really good protagonist and what you might have in mind as a good person
the entire reason he even does propaganda is to show the truth about war but the Imperium doesnt want that
Sidenote: these covers are really cool!?!
Yeah books get a lot of custom artwork
this one is made in the style of a movie poster
because well, its a book about a propagandist

Going back, is he the protag trying to be good in the shitty grimdark world and he's trying to stand for what he believes but it eventually starts getting to him?
Yeah pretty much. Because remember the Imperium is literally Roman Nazi Germany lol
why are they so stylish though 😭😭😭
even at a young age you will be forced to be cruel
also that yeah, Simlex is a different case because he kinda grew up seperated from all of that
hence why hes mostly a nice person
it looks better than nazi germany tho
what kind of world was he from
He doesnt delve into it too much but he grew up "well" from what he tells some other characters. He doesnt do like a single evil thing in this book to anyone lol
the others though? Uh

homie you're gonna be asking so many questions that you might no longer need to read the book
Its alright lmao
but yeah id recommend it as a book, just be sure to know the basics i guess
I'm checking it out rn! Along with the ciaphas Cain hero of the imperium iirc?
Yeah Cain is a lot more of a saturday morning cartoon kind of book series, every novel in there follows the exact same formula and can get a bit grating to read.
Hes like the "haha im cowardly but i always save the day and people think im a hero but im not!" kind of character lol
probably the lightest 40k book series
literal impostor syndrome
when it comes to grim dark aspects of the setting
how about Ol' Bale Eye, any good books about him?
the list grows longer
is the yarrick omnibus good?
i haven't read these so i don't know
Its good'ish
It has some mid parts but Yarrick overall is a fun character to follow and read about.
i see, thx

I was grateful that mecanicum was space marine-free. Until the end that is.
The civil war description was great (the first strikes)
So quick q has one of the S tier black library authors ever written an Eldar story
Even a short
No, right?
The S-Tier authors nah not really
most of them usually always write human/space marine focused shit
its only the rare semi-"side" authors ala Rath and a few small others that write cool xenos content
Valedor is probably as good as it gets
Valedor is literally the only peak Eldar novel yeah lol
well not counting the Path of the Dark Eldar trilogy too
I mean, they're more like side characters but all of the Harlequins stuff in the Bile trilogy is absolutely brilliant.
ADB Eldar would be so good
Also I love how alien Abnett makes them
BIBLE?

Oh lmao

Autocorrect
But also its why i said "side" authors in quotations
It's pretty much the Bible for me tho.
like even there they arent even a part of the protagonist faction of the book
Didn't Mike Brooks write a Lelith book recently? I've always enjoyed his stuff.
Yeah but like uh
Unless you are an eldar fan or love/know the character of Lelith a lot you wont like the book that much
I loved it personally but if its someone with no idea of what eldar are reading it its gonna be a bit different
I'm curious about the ones mentioned here https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/zxxb5mab/explore-the-enigmatic-aeldari-with-these-black-library-classics/, are they all shit except Valedor? You mentioned bad things about Gav Thorpe before.
Okay that's completely fair.
Also Gav is... inconsistent if we want to be generous.
Let me take a look
-
Path of the Eldar; good if you want a proper look into how they live, act and do stuff as a faction as well as life in a craftworld, as an outcast etc among other stuff. The combat sections are pretty embarrassing overall and the eldar get treated pretty shit to comedic levels
-
Asurmen is ok'ish, I found it a bit mid
-
Jain Zar is pretty fun for the most part.
-
Valedor; super peak would highly recommend.
-
Ghost Warrior/Wild Rider; do not bother

-
The Harlequin stuff is also mostly ok/mid, nothing too interesting but are worth a read if you wanna know more about them
They get treated at comedic levels because their only god left is the clown one
Cloon
dont worry gman is gonna rescue the other one and add her to his harem
Isha and Khaine are also around so
one is trapped in a 4chan basement though
kill yourself
And the other one Is shattered like he's a Bionicle
grumpy today arent we?
You are good at one thing that is everyday talking to you is a grumpy day
sounds like ur problem

Isha is in the basement like you said. Khaine is a loser splitted into shards that gets bodied by litterally anyone
its a satirical mirror of your average warhammer readers
ingenius writing imo
Khaela mensha Kha-ACK!

Appreciate your comments, thanks.

only ones id recommend are the Path books so you at least got an idea of what kind of novels they are and also like i said Valedor, otherwise just skip the rest.
Based Nurgle
what the hell is wrong with nick kyme 😠
i listened to 3 chapters of old earth yesterday 1st chapter was alright
but then it kept jumping all over the place and not introducing new locations or new chars
i never got the appeal of dune
i watched like half? of the first movie
what the hell is wrong with you
Are your dopamine receptors inverted or something
louis, i did not care for dune
it insists upon itself.
The Dune books is stellar, cinema you could say. The Villeneuve movies are absolute masterpieces in cinema with almost perfect adaptation of the book to film format, this generation's LotR movies
its just cringe the story is whatever and the movie drags on and ends abruptly
maybe the book is better but i never read it
this tiktok generation I swear to god ,,, ,, .., can't focus on a movie that is longer than 90 minutes
my guy i listened to nick kyme edge me for 67 chapters about the return of vulkan then have him fucking do it in another book
its not my attention span i just dont like dune
also wait have you only seen the first one
it's literally half of the story
yeah didnt care for it
still, the complaint it ends abruptly is moot, it's like complaining the fellowship of the ring doesn't have a satisfying ending
im not gonna power through the second movie if i didnt like the first one
you have honestly the weirdest opinions, you will power through the Salamander books but won't Dune
or Legion
also space marines singing on vox is canon
Thanks for tearing into him Jerk id vaporize this man where he stood for half of these ""takes"".

do what you must dune is still mid
greatest cinema created this decade and you're just 'it's mid'
its dan abnett coded sci fi
Yeah while I agree the books are spectacular I wouldn't really call the Dune movies masterpieces. Much prefer Villeneuve's original films.
I'd rather watch Polytechnique or Enemy any day of the week.
Wait I just ruined my argument since Enemy is loosely based off a book. Going to kill myself.
I do think Dune movies together are his best work
That's fair, they are quite beautiful movies to look at.
Will interject and say calling Dune mid but enjoying the Salamanders HH novels is just heretical.
Its definitely what put him on the radar for most people imo.
Literally almost nobody heard of him before these for the most parts in the world
I'd argue Blade Runner did.
Most people did know Arrival at least
Arrival was fucking awesome too tho.
sad that the only thing people remember from it is the Ryan Gosling memes
including me

Arrival is PEAK
Best form of alien/human first contact shit
tho I hate the reveal in it
At the moment I'm contemplating if I should listen through Messiah before or after the movie is out
Never read/listened it before and don't know which I should do first
hey i said vulkan lives is good
Yea dune is ok
I hope you get eaten alive by worms
When I die in about a thousand years, toots
Contractually impossible
I think Sicario was his first major movie
Wait no nvm
I thought that was before Blade Runner for some reason
But those two definitely are the ones which most people would know him for before Duke
Prisoners, Sicario, Arrival, Blade Runner 2049
All absolute bangers
🚬 clad demonstrating dubious taste as per usual
Lisan al gaib spam is the only thing i remember
Dune books are based tho. (Og herbert only)
only thing i remember
Dune 2
jesus christ lmao
There's... sand
Irony is I remember the whole plot of the book. But I suck with movies
And i've read it 15 years ago
The OST is soul ascending
^
Hearing someone basically remember nothing from these 2 movies makes me want to lose faith in humanity

I hate sand
Its coarse
And it gets everywhere
So any I killed them
I don't rewatch movies usually, a couple times maybe besides a few outliers, but I've watched both of the new Dune movies at least 8 times by now already
It's no Pacific Rim 1 tho
💀
yeah, it has a great sequel unlike Pacific Rim

I remember enjoying them. Alas i'm not a movie/tv man

Also that Harkonnen arena scene/Geidi Prime stuff live rent free in my head
YESSSS
probably one of THE best "alien" human cultures ive seen
I'm not a movie person either, I haven't turned on my TV in four/five years. I'll get around to the books eventually
squeaky ass stings going ham
hearing that announcer say all that guttural shit was peak
I lied. I LOVED the sardaukar chants on the rainy planet in the first movie (it was too short)
that whole 1 minute introduction scene to the arena is peak
everyone liked the Sardaukar scene tbh
The hamburger cheeseburger bigmac whopper chant?
yeah the chants are very very good
it got memed to death on the 40k circles as well
yeah again it does a great job of displaying that like
"these are humans but they are very far from us"
that entire scene alone was very strange in the best way
Dune is very strange to me, it's very alien but then you have some twink called Paul running around
It the becoming of a man god-emperor
I will rewatch the dune movies this weekend ||if i have spare time||
I already hit my movie quota for the year, alas
It can’t be dubious if it simple does not exist
like Sicario as well actually
Unlike Sicario even
literally the first movie but more
It wasn't Denis and it missed the point of the first one I though
Yeah fair enough I was wondering

I do appreciate the first movie is all literally a ploy to get some guy to a cartel lord's estate tho ngl, it was some Inquisition-tier dubious shit
Sicario was nice
Yeah, where the point of view is from someone outside the story
Yeah and at the end of the day its kinda dubious sure but the right thing to do.
It wasn’t as good as the first for a lot of reasons but it was still well done
Yeah I liked it.
The first is just amazing so it’s had to compare
Like if the point of view was the assassin it'd just more or less be a standard revenge action flick, but instead what you're seeing is the whole apparatus that makes it happen
Which is think is very kool
Yeah its the breadcrumbs that get placed through the plot that makes the ending pay off.
Where it makes you go "ooooooh shit"
You are very much in Blunt's position where you got no idea largely what these guys are doing.
Yeah exactly
The point too is they show Emily Blunt being extremely competent, battle hardened and effective and then she’s thrown into a whole nother level for a few days and it breaks her
Yeah mexico/cartels are another ordeal entirely
that entire opening reveal in the house and how they got fuckin bodies in the walls is genuinely horrifying
she very much largely had no idea what she was getting into and that works super well
She wants to break the cartel using police procedures but the story is about a loose canon who is not interested in that
Lmao yeah and the team makes it clear she has like a child's idea of how that works too.
its like when Hank from Breaking Bad covers a similiar OP and the first thing he sees is a man's fucking head attached to a turtle before it blows up and he gets mad PTSD from it
But what works is a dude with a gun who's really really mad
YEP. And entirely justifiable kind of revenge too
when you melt a man's kid in a fucking acid barrel all hands are kinda off no offense 💀
Yer
Well idk if the lesson is that what they do is the right thing
Just that it’s a very morally grey area and it’s much less simple
The lesson is you need to get messy to deal with people like that
And yeah grey areas
The film is: here's how this specific grey area actually works
Also: watching guys stare at eachother in traffic is actually really cool
Roger Deakins could make someone eating cereal look gorgeous
And he probably has
Gonna need that scene re-done in 40k stat
I will pay 50000 Inquisitillion dollars for it
Lol, I wonder how the inquisition would approach it
Somehow I doubt inquisition would be as understanding of traffic laws
Or the wellbeing of anyone in their way
Or maybe an assassin story, that'd be cool
Okay the ship is in orbit, commencing orbital strike in 3...2...1....
Its not really about traffic laws tbf
its about staying discreet and not blowing their cover

Ironically about the same as in the movie
just make the cartel lord like almost unreachable and make Del Toro some semi-assassin figure with the car trunk trick and boom
you funnily enough just need to edit a few things here and there

Bro read the books ffs
they are excellent novels. Like all time all English literature excellent.
I mean the first one predominantly
Lmao I didn’t scroll all the way through and realize how much you got dogpiled re the dune movie
I feel the contrarian urge to defend you on that
I liked the new dune movies I didn’t love them
I love the book.
😔
no
Read them u philistine
no
U visigoth
U hun
U scion of genghis khan
U woad covered savage
Read ur literature and like it and walk on two legs like a man not four like the dirty beast u are
Also finish legion
No one should read legion
😡
I don’t even like it that much but I feel I must love it now
Its a good book, I wouldnt say much beyond that
but it has femdom military officiers since thats like Abnett's kink so its not too shabby

Do they have bodygloves
No thats for Eisenhorn/Ravenor
Eisenwhore

If u don't like Legion you won't like Dune most likely lol
Dabnett channeled Dune when writing Legion
Big time
"They were clad in crimson armour and dark robes. Vairon stared at
destiny made flesh. He saw the angular serpent rune on the armour of the lead warrior."
from Abyssal by Annadale
which legion is that?
(heresy era)
These guys maybe (raven guard)
are they definitely space marines?
but idk basically
thats not any of the legion symbols
not w/ red armour anyway
Sounds like word bearers
when did they adopt the red(dish?) color scheme? before isstvan 3?
After
With the exception of some like the Gal Vorbal I believe
this is where reading guide put that short story
i guess its wrong/trash/worthless
i dont think so
I dont know the contents of that short story
tho the story is about psykers
If it was right after galaxy in flames, it could make sense
its a 10 pager about a black ship being boarded by marines and psykers rebelling
@umbral storm unironically could just try contacting the writer on twitter or wherever they are
i just wonder why the story is so cryptic about the identity of those marines, is it my shortcoming that i cant figure them out, or is this supposed to be a mystery that will pay off down the road during book #5346, or is it a complete waste of time red herring
have read only a dozen books into hh so far so i dont know the answer at this point
Theres no payoff its just a quirky mystery bit.
dont think so hard about it, its just a short story

Thousand Sons?
that was my first thought, but it doesnt fit the 'arc'/'timeline'
1k sons attacking a black ship around isstvan 3 seems off (as far as ive read)
id honestly consider emailing/twittering/we david annandale about it, he might respond
Maybe its wordbearers disguised as ultramarines disguised as thousand sons
Im gonna laugh loudly if he just goes "yea its word bearers"
me when i stop thinking, i do not think, therefore i am not
based
i wouldnt be able to resist asking him his thoughts on charging 3,5 euros on that crap, and he would get offended
What if it wasnt marines
BL writers just write, they dont deal with the financial stuff
It was heretical dunda warriors
Could also be lodge drip
tho i bet the reaction is gonna be like
Since I dont see power armor mentioned
"I dont even remember writing that piece of shit"
Do it
Tell him to say it was thunder warriors
Make it canon

exactly what i imagined ❌ 🇩 tbh
Or the even more cursed wordbearers in bad alpha legion disguises
"Hey guys if we put snakes on everyone will assume its AL"
-noone was fooled because they were still covered in fucking loose leaf
yeah makes sense, by why 🤔 , and what does it have to do with anything happening
In reality could be word bearers as ultramarines
In bad disguises
Cuz there is the one sub group that had snake heraldry
Yes
Calth
Its why Im making the disguise joke
(Fairly certain it was just weird recolorings to confuse UM but yeah....)
Yes
The alpha legion did it
To varying levels of success
For example this totally loyalist “Thousand sons” legionary
At Beta Garmon
Most of them died at Beta Garmon to the traitor Tsons who were furious at them and alpha legion infiltrators
i wasnt that far in yet
Beta garmon isn’t in any of the heresy novels so don’t worry
Unless you were planning on reading rulebooks
In which case I’m sorry
Yeah Beta Garmon is rulebook lore
It gets like a few references but nothing concrete in the novels
But Beta Garmon is like the ultimate clusterfuck of the heresy and would probably suck as a book
Spoilers Thousand Sons go traitor
but le epic blood ravens??
And you spoiled yet again reeeeee
Agreed. I understand that the Imperium's got a monopoly on zealous indignation and such, but taking every possible opportunity to squash the potential for
- Loyalist remnants of traitor legions before their downfall
- Trying to utilize existing geneseed from Traitor legions in new loyalist chapters
- Traitor neonates defecting back to the loyal side
is really frustrating.
like not even that far theres motep and arvida i would have loved for more of them to be featured in the heresy
loyalist space marines of traitor legions usually have nice stories in general but they always have the "we gotta super kill this guy so hes not an open ending in 40k"
my friend recently purchased the imperial guardsman handbook and this is the last page
he is convinced this is the hawk fella
because of the wings
Warhammer flow chart to wings beings:
white > sangui
not white > the emperor
So, Mechanicum was a nice change from the usual HH novel. Enjoyable/10. Now I can resume Legion
I never really cared much for mechanicum or legion
I did actually think john grammaticus was a cool character in legion though
they insist upon themselves 🚬
You've read neither
It’s very good
red 1/10 of Wraithbone Phoenix, and so far its kinda funny
the world is just Birmingamn of planetary scale
Warhammer crime my goat
Weird name 4 a goat
Double Eagle is good though

You know what would be better though?
Pandaemonium.
George R.R. Abnett over here with the hundred side projects.

I'm surprised this is a thing at all since DE was set during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade.
I thought all the new BL works had to be Era Indomitus.
Def not
Double Eagle sequel
literally one of the most "why" things ever bruh
im gonna be 90 by the time Bequin 3 comes out
Abnett reading this comment be like:
He talked about it in the interview with Mira Manga last month. It was the books he used to wind down from the effort of writhing The End And The Death
just a little treat
Did he talk about Pandaemonium at all?
He said he's working on another book that he is not allowed to talk about it yet so maybe
dontgivemehope.gif
At least we get Astartes II next year.
That's not a sentence I thought I'd ever type.
The amazing Dan Abnett rejoins us to discuss all things Prospero Burns and answer questions from you, the viewers!

Hes very good at it

Good for aeronautica fans I guess. All 50 of them.
Those 50 fans are going to eat good I'm sure.
Im gonna throw them in a jet engine
The next book is actually going to be a standalone John Grammaticus book guys. Trust me my dad works at GW.
no olly no buy sorry gw
seriously tho i think theyre gonna do similar shit with the upcoming anthology i uspect a bunch of slop and 1-2 stories about key figures and one "secret" reveal
It's just the copium talking but I would like at least one more Sevatar story 👉👈
Well too bad

Also I KEEP mixing them up even tho i read the trilogy
was Sevatar the cunt whos still stuck in prison
Yaur
I keep mixing him up with the other NL protagonist
Jago?
No wait thats Sev
LMAO
what the fuck was his name
Yeah thats it
WHAT WAS the other dude that everyone also talks about
fuck this is annoying
Sev was the asshole friend to Talos.
Sevatar only ever got brief cameos and a few short stories in the anthologies and outside of the current 40k setting he's like still the main named character for the NL.
Like I just want closure on that if he died or if he's still lurking somewhere. Cause then at least something can be done the NL. The trilogy ended like a decade ago and they haven't done anything since.
Yeah the issue is outside of these stories NL have always been loser-nobodies
these are like the only things giving them any kind of recongition, so as you say once Talos and Sev are out the picture its like "whats the point"
Loser nobodies for the win
Ive seen like so many people read these books
become NL fans
then see their situation in the lore is like
"Wow. This is boring."

books so peak the faction itself literally cant match
There's like Decimus... he's somewhere...
Yeah the problem is they are just a nobody-legion in the grand scheme of things
they got 1 gimmick and thats it
Pretty much
night lords
theyre stinky
i straight up have no memory of him
bruh 💀
He shows up much later in the HH.
you dont remember John Nightlord???
I think at that point he makes like a cameo in The First Heretic. He coined death to the false emperor.
i heard the name i just dont remember in which book 😭
yeah he patented it
People like him because he's just a snarky house maid to Curze and is the best of them.
I cant blame you, i mix up fucking Talos and Sev lol
Cheating is always based
its like those morons in Star Wars that go:
"turning off your lightsaber mid-battle to re-activate and stab someone is cowardly/dishonorable"
bitch, idgaf
i wanna win

He's definitely one of those characters you hear about in a lore video and think wow that's cool. Let me check him out! Then you figure out fast his lore is incomplete. Such is the fate of all cool traitor space marines that aren't Ahriman or Kharn.
My reasoning to the enemy general of why i nuke his hometown causing the deaths of his innocent family members instead of engaging him in the battlefield in honorable combat
Hes stuck in 2012!
save him!!
World Eaters fans will write a ten page thesis on why they are the most misunderstood legion. Word Bearers fans in a snarky demeanor will rant about how they are the true practitioners of the eight pointed path.
Night Lords fans: I LOVE SKINNING CHILDREN
SO TRUE
I understand they're a gimmick but I like goofy villains so it works for my sensitivities.
Also explains why the EC are my second favorite legion.
It's always the completely evil faction people that will straight up just the most honest
Ork fans: I LOVE WAR, WAR IS FUCKING AWESOME
The mechanicus is my favorite because they’re awful
I love torturing people
And brutally mutilating them
Oh this is funny
I legit like W.E as a faction but their fanbase genuinely sometimes makes me temporarily despise the entire legion at times
"Angron was so tragic"
shut the fuck up
Saw it actually made me laugh
christ
Ork fans when they make a milk carton into a Deff Dread because lmao canon.
lmao good for me
I'm going to be honest i will give gw one thing in that their depiction of orcs is some of the best in fiction
The amount of WE fans that were coping after EoE is wild. Erm my primarch wouldn't lose that way! Erm Blood Angels are doo doo heads!
Yeah like i'm a nice guy relatively speaking but like my favorite faction is literally written to be war machines that literally will not hesitate to eat people
The WE were genuinely terrible from the start lmao. There was a freaking coup to stop the nails from being implemented and it failed. Shortly after they just killed all the dudes or implemented the nails by force.
But counterpoint it is incredibly funny
Sometimes it's okay to accept your faction is just pure evil.
Quick sidenote, that Angron primarch book was pleasantly great. Painted Angron like a complete monster and I enjoyed all of it.
Everyone wants to have their dudes be relatable or be good guys simply put.
Yeah and in warhammer especially
A setting notorious
Cowardice
For literally having factions not having a single redeeming quality is normal
You pick the faction that eats children eat children
You made your choice
My favorite character in 40k literally lobotomizes people Enmass
💀 dsflkdlsfds
What about in aos
Oh yeah i forgot they just turn them into plants
Stupid fleshling -> compost
Tree grindset
ulanor best day of my life....
As a true Khornechad, Angron is a stinky idiot with a IQ of about 3, naturally he loses
The best part of EoE was that stupid Angron cosplay guy in 40klore stopped posting
what kind of idiot primarch gets overpowered by normal humans and mutilated
Genuinely made my week when i saw it, god i wish i could rewind
It’s so dumb too since Angron goes off that whole book and barely wins
It’s not even a bad showing, he’s a literal monster who Sanguinius with perfect precog barely can beat and gets crippled banishing
Its a bit mixed.
Like its pathetic as fuck but its also Angry Ron we are talking about here, at this point he has literally completely lost his mind and is basically a mad dog that Sanguinius puts down lol
Secondly if you like traitor primarchs i always have said you need to understand they are at the end of the day simply WWE Heels that will get defeated by a loyalist faction at some point, its the reality that most people just largely dont wanna put up with.
Yeah like
Sanguinius literally has full-proof plot armor here.
He says as much himself, its "destiny" lol
He has to fucking face Horus

Its not like Angron is also gonna fuck off to fight another day, hes a crazy psychopath flying around the palace wanting to find something to kill
Fuck off you twerp.
Biden BLAST
I counter with corn pop
He’s gonna get his rusty razor
Khorne Pop bitch
Oh god
i like corn on pizza
You can put anything on pizza, it don't matter fuck the world
its tru one time i was making mini pizzas and ran out of dough
made the rest of the batches on toast slices
whos gonna stop me?
as a side note old earth is alright
fact
Just like how I can put you in a oven instead of a pizza
I've eaten pizza with eggs before
It’s weird but I’ve had it, it’s pretty good
every Turkish pizzeria here has a pizza on their menu with eggs on it...
There’s a pizza place in my town which does some odd pizzas like that
who's the weird one here then
Another is a pulled pork one and a potato one
im 99% sure what you are talking about isnt even pizza

turkish people also like dont do pizza, its not really our thing, unless you are counting some sort of basic store or a kind of dough with materials on it as "pizza"
little shit

oh they're pizzas
no
then what westerner
pizza!!
I know it's not a 'Turkish' thing, but every Turkish place here serves pizzas
I mean like i literally said
"basic stores"
we gotta fatten up you dumb foreigners somehow
I MEAN feed you

Dils, why are you surprised that we a group of deranged creatures that spend time in lore chat would have tame pizza tastes
I mean im not surprised, im just disgusted.

GACK
that is a fair assessment
Not pretending it’s normal but it’s not exactly a wild idea
Im not taking this from a literal Sopranos extra
Dough with cheese and eggs on it.
I'm not sure how it happened but literally every Turkish restaurant here is called a "kebab pizzeria" and they only serve kebab and pizza
some of them are good but some of them are probably the worst pizzas you can find
there's a fucking wikipedia article about it
Kebab pizza (Swedish: kebabpizza) is a Swedish style of pizza topped with kebab meat and other ingredients, the precise topping often varying between restaurants. A combination of Italian and Middle Eastern cuisines, the kebab pizza was created by Middle Eastern immigrants in the 1980s. Since its creation, the kebab pizza has increased in popula...
(I'm not from sweden though)
WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS ABOMINATION
oh
swedish
okay nevermind, this mutated filth doesnt belong on my end

made by the turkish immigrants
"y'all make so shit food you gotta move elsewhere bro"
Dilara be saying they are Igneans
ain't no way
Almost.
this is how your country is known around here
and about the egg thing, that's a common Italian topping. Not my favourite but it's not bad either
here's a pizza I had in a tiny Italian village last year
I say that so someone doesn't default to "oh that's just a tourist location so they serve weird shit", which is true
Still better than corn on pizza
don't think I've had corn on pizza but I don't think it would be bad really either
Italian
already lost me
great place
down to the end of the boot you go
Northern Italy* is a great place
Furio is weakio
I mean its Carmela

Im all for milfs but like nah man she aint worth it
go and eat the north instead
what pizza does Dil even like if Italian and "Turkish" aren't good enough
I never said I hated italian pizza, just the smears of literal garbage yall been posting 😭
also that ""turkish"" thing isnt Turkish so shut up

if they blaster Turkish flags all over their walls in the restaurant it's Turkish enough for me
it's the most Turkish thing one can do
unfortunately not comparable.. Taco Bell is a brand that uses local workforce to do their shitty premade slop. These Turkish places have Turkish immigrants making their own concoctions...
Yet the foodstuff they make is basically awful and nothing like pizza and thus fortunately very much comparable to premade sloppa.
Once more, be silent.
Or pop goes your legs 🔨
Heart attack speed run any %
that's fucked up
thanks for the pizza but well take it from here
I'm not italian
at least i can pick off pinapple
u get the idea tho
mayhaps
Con alcune varianti, però: la pizza capricciosa siciliana, a dire il vero, vanta un uovo al suo centro che la differenzia da quelle realizzate nel resto l’Italia.
You're missing out @tall phoenix
And what do you call Lahmacun, didn't you folks come up with that?

No, like... a lahmacun is not a pizza we also arent the originators but its very much a muslim foodstuff since it shares a lot of ties with some other nearby regions and countries.
you literally roll it up like a schwarma/burrito to eat it lmao

Ive also NEVER met a turkish person refer to it as such unless they are uncultured as fuck
emphasis on the "superficial" bit
Dilara posted this through the grease haze while eating an entire kebab pizza
Tbh that kebab pizza looks tasty
Pizza is pizza. And pizza is always tasty (even the XTRA greasy american filth). Why can't we all just enjoy pizzas?
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
https://cdn.tasteatlas.com/images/dishes/b6a591d5e17644e69b2881e61630a463.jpg this is what theyre supposed to look like btw
u cant roll that
sis has been on the rollies too much 😭
Are you italian by any chance lol?
