Last thing I care about bruh nah š
One of the later ones has a heroic ccp scene which was pretty funny
Had a prof whose desktop background was a slide show of transformers
Asked him "so what do you think about the micheal bay movies"
lmao based
That movie is just unapologetically bad
He looked like gru had just eaten shit
My favorite part was the crowd of people defending these movies before they got legit so awful they killed the movie franchise
Shockwave
the first transformers is fine
Original transformers was also pretty bad lmao but it was the 80s
20th anniversery movie slaps
The movie was hilarious b/c it featured the voice of a half-dead Orson Welles
With optimus prime getting fucking murdered in the beggining
Every time I hear orson welles I think of the band Manowar
Because he did some absolutely meme worthy narrationsnfor them
And then when they remade it they used christopher lee
Yes I saw this and also Aliens when I was 4

gigachad
Still dont know what it was
I watched Aliens when i was a little girl and I could not get past the scene ever where the entire marine landing party gets killed
it legit was too scary for me lol
Transformers 1, 3 and like 5 I think were ok.
Whatever one had the sniper dude and Kelsey Grammar.
But largely theyāve sucked, but idk Iām not the target audience largely anyways these days
1 was the only good one, they all sucked
I loved it. But
I would also like to say that Transformers one is also Peak
3 was alright too
It also made me scared of the dark for like a year not kidding
Dark Side of the Moon is better than 1 imo
that flamethrower dude getting lit on fire
Predator was peak
I think 5 is the last knight aka the worst one
Maybe 4 then
it was so bad it literally killed the series
which i guess for the better
CHINA
Yeah also the face acid
YEP
age of extinction is worse than 3 but maybe better than 2
its gnarly
Transformers: Age of Extinction?
Didnāt they make like 2 more after
Idk I donāt keep track of this shit
they made bumblebee after the last knight
Theyāre mostly pretty shit
Impressive CGI
baysed
But wasted largely on the goofiness
yeah that
monsterverse is the new hotness for cgi battles
rise of the beast
there it is
was mid
oh yeah rise of the beasts. very forgettable
Revenge of the Fallen my favorite Dark Angels movie
yes i know i said rice i'm asian it's in my blood
Yeah so itās 1,3,4 which I thought were ok
3 is only good because it has an old robot man get violently murdered
which we of course all stand for lets be fair
where tf is the gi joe movie
wait dils did you see transformers one
Rise of the beasts had funny moments but none of them were intended and half of them involved looking stuff up on the transformers wiki
indeed, the trailers did not do it justice
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts - G.I. Joe Recruits Noah: Agent Burke (Michael Kelly) interviews Noah (Anthony Ramos).
BUY THE MOVIE: https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/details/Transformers-Rise-of-the-Beasts/2424673?cmp=Movieclips_YT_Description
Watch the best Transformers: Rise of the Beasts scenes & clips: https://www.youtube.com/playlis...
yet what we saw was one of the most heartbreaking tragedies in the transformers multiverse
"What if we make our all ages spectacle explosions movie about a serial genocide robot"
i don't know what went through their head on putting GI joe on the same verse where this thing existed but i want some of what they're smoking
Also movie optimus is SO violent
In every one of then he just wants to KILL
Piece of tin
i will say it is definitely the most violent version of optimus prime
Itās not intentional but I do think itās actually a good portrayal of how he probably should be acting after thousands of years of fighting
Compared to the normal Boy Scout one we get
but you can headcannon its just him going jaded
Like out of all the primes I have seen he's definitely the most violent
Yeah years of war does a lot to someone's mental
Optimus was onto something when he killed those dudes like that
the one where he rips open Blackout's fucking face with his hooks is NUTS
like with sentinel he was begging for his own life moments earlier but sentinel was about to execute him
Yeah you remember me replying to you, with
Grindor Dilara Grindor
I mean tbf Sentinel was also trying to murder him seconds earlier and had killed his friends
das what i said
straight up ripped his face in half
i just think its funny that in the lore being a prime is like a personality thing (the page is called Matrix Check on the wiki which made me laugh so i clicked it)
movie optimus would not pass the matrix check i think
He does that a lot.
I misread it the other way
fair enough, my use of pronouns made it confusing
Itās not my fault you guys write bad
the inquisitor when he catches a space marine lackin
All I see is steel winning
the transformer lore is insane
THEY ARE BOTH STEEL
i wish transformers one was in a more bay-like visual style
aka realistic super cgi
I think it being more kids-like works better
the cartoon was using a fake middle eastern country called "carbombya" until TOO RECENTLY
also that kind of animation would be EXPENSIVE
yeah it'd be one of the most expensive movies ever probably
ehh nah i've already seen that like 5 times
i've had my fill of that type of style already
but none of them are on cybertron and only about the trans
transformers one should have had shia laboeuf in it
all of them spend 80% of their time being about stupid human stuff
I kinda love it ngl but
no but seriously if they brought back shia labeouf id be fucking hyped
one of my favorite movies
Man itās so bizarre
i think he DIES between the movies??
It does deliver on the cool robot fights
i mean it's using giant robots for boxing what's so bizarre about it
they basically dont talk about it but i remember it being implied
I hope one day we get to have combat robot fights
"A photo of Sam is seen in Sir Edmund Burtonās mansion, establishing him as part of the Order of the Witwiccans. Given that Burton stated that he is the last surviving member of the order, it can be assumed that Sam died prior to the events of the film."
that secret society shit in TLK was so dumb
yeah lmao
well to be fair this is on the underground
Actually mandated leagues have safety precautions because the head of the robot flying at the crowd isn't a good idea
tell that to nascar goers
NASCAR is pretty safe tbh, mostly like rally racing and stuff
Also why are you putting a specialized robot that's designed to fight in rule a controlled environment versus a robot that doesn't even box most of the time and is basically a mixed martial artist
Is where you have issues cause the way people congregate on the sidelines
midas literally throws kicks and elbows
To be fair he has the ability to analyse moves and you know hydraulic punches hurt
Yeah the damage that thing can do is ******* hilarious
But then of course he had to meet someone designed specifically to take a beating
its a lame ass future because they dont allow the good battlebots weapons
my robot boxer would have a big spinning drum
I mean atom is a sparring bot and looking at how his arm is built he doesn't even throw punches that strong
most of the fights this guy won through because he could take the hit or move out of the way
Itās Mike Tyson punch out with robots
Yeah I think Little Mac had to be in his design
it'd be fucking epic if they ended up making transformers vs godzilla
i guess they could make justice league vs godzilla vs kong (since that's a comic that exists right now) but transformers are cooler
Yeah he compensates his lack of power and small size by being incredibly tough and being faster than everyone else
forgot to make his arms go all the way up rip
Well to be fair this guy is literally being controlled by a professional boxer right now copying his movements
Keep your hands up
shadow boxing go crazy
The whole system of controlling the robot with preset moves and stuff did seem convoluted
yeah there are three ways to control your bots in real steel
Voice command remote control and of course shadow boxing
Rewatching it I forgot they had a ref walk into the ring and count
God itās also so fucking dangerous looking lol
Like what if Zeus just punches his head into the crowd dear lord
dude have you seen how Midas is controlled, you put this guy up like a mandated league and he's gonna be throwing body parts everywhere
So many messages
Darktide 40K book club most active channel on discord
Incredible feat
conclusion: we're all hyped for the upcoming GI Joe cinematic universe
this is literally what's left of axelrod after it fought Zeus
I need to rewatch that movie
all thanks to my lukewarm takes
you're welcome bookclub š¬
I have excellent book takes, like skip reading the horus heresy
sorry but can i ask for the origin of a quote that goes hard but i have no idea where it comes from?
i need help from someone more adept with the books outside of black templar and sororitas ones

"I long for death, not because I seek peace, but because I seek the war eternal"
i typed it into google search to no avail but it fucks hard
probably a long stretch
This article collects famous quotes made about the Imperial creed, and quotes made by members of the Ecclesiarchy. The quotes are organized in alphabetical order using the name of the speaker. Unattributed quotes are at the end of the list.
For quotes made by, or about, members of the Adepta Sororitas, see the dedicated article.
oh word

i avoid the wiki like a plague out of instinct
yeah on amazon
oof if its physical yeah yeet

Yeah VPN affects google searches and shows the most unrelated shit usually
i forgot to turn it off

Im also signed in to bulgaria š
need to keep VPN so i can use discord since it got banned here
what are the fucking odds
LOL yeah
legit dogshit
i gotta turn it off each time i gotta play a game or enter some sites since it fucks with em

its a grey knights novel too and i know literally nothing about them

i will play the new chaos gate and soon i will be basically chapter master of the grey knights

holy shit dont doxx me with a face reveal!!
i may or may not save this
Lmfao feel free
that being said i would never betray the OG chapter
I too love the loyalist Chapter of Child Rippers
WE ARE THE HAMMER
"yeah i love the flesh tearers because they are loyalist!! what???? they kill imperial civilans and disregard human life?? it doesnt matter because they are hecking loyal to the emperor and sanguinius!!!!"
LOL
i fucking hate the flesh tearers
they are basically loyalist World Eaters
its not even that, atleast the world eaters had a resembalance of respect before angron and his stupid nails
They are braindead like their fanbase so i guess it works out
to think what angron would of been withouth the nails...
i wonder, if the emperor teleported angron out of his rebellion without the nails in his brain
would the outcome be the same?
its just so Angron can fall to chaos since the Heresy has to happen
Angron would also still have probably rebelled unless thye used some mental gymnastics like corax.
Rising from literal slaver hellholes but helping an even worse regime because "the ends justify means and we'll fix it"
He does enjoy collecting skulls its true
hot take: i love characters/factions that dont give a shit about reason and just go 100% on their beliefs

me
i prefer when my space marines accept being assholes
As long as it isn't the Lamenters
The best way to make two imperial planets stop feuding is to involve nuclear weapons
Sincerely, Flesh Tearers
fair enough bro, i love sangunius, not my favourite primarch but he goes hard
Asshole chapters are just very funny to me, Sanguinious would be very disappointed in them
Marines Malevolent my GOAT
The only primarchs I really don't care about is Magnus and Mortarion so I also have a bias
The holy trifecta of Marines Malevolent, Minotaurs, and Flesh Tearers. Name any chapter better for the Imperium
Sons of Medusa maybe
Much like my hated Alpha Legion, they just strengthen the Imperium
Jack horner was such a great character
Iām sure this has been asked before but whatever new year new repetitive question.
What do you all play on tabletop / virtual tt if anything
I dabble in Admech and am slowly building an Imperial Agents force.
Haven't played in a dozen years, would pick Eldar for the suffering today
Irl I go to an LGS
For virtual tabletop, tabletop simulator with friends only generally
To my shame I considered the stinky elves
But what ooormies
I would ask in the minis and armies channel but itās scary there are strangers
Admech, CWE(only have 1k points rn), blood angels(I barely play them anymore)
Cā¦. Cunts⦠With⦠Eyes?
Corded Ware Edgelords?
Craftworld Eldar
š
For killteam I have more
But thatās small
Ok this is semi irrational and we all knew the teams couldnāt just keep piling up but the rotation thing has put me off KT
I guess Infinity spoiled me with the way in which Corvus Belli tries aggressively to allow you to use your armies for as many editions as possible.
The rotation is only for comp play
They still get rules updates
And balance changes
But I agree itās dumb
Mostly bc theyāre marketing 2 europoors but
Sadly I may be a europoor spiritually
I know I just gave a sense obviously that the stuff that will continue to be balanced etc is the stuff for comp
In no small measure bc there will be a lot more data
Why is homie thinking of genitals with eyes
You arenāt?!

š
You think in 40k naming your kid Horus is like naming your kid Hitler?
I wonder if itās heresy to name your kid after a primarch
its not

the problem is it kinda depends
its like naming your kid after some historical figure
it can have uh "implications"
pretty sure there was a book with a kid from ultramar who was named after Guilliman
yeah Forges of Mars
ah yes
Been listening to Gaunt's Ghosts after a lengthy pause with other books in between and boy am I enjoying Guns of Tanith. Peak military slop
Gaunt is always good but the main cast is basically action heroes its true š
Bought ALL the Gaunt books last sale. Got like 11 books after this one still
somehow all the military shit just hits right. Very reminiscent of the real stuff I went through (without actual combat of course)
Its mostly due to it just being Sharpe's Rifles
it nails that napoleonic era of archaic fighting mixed with sci-fi shit really well
the little details are very apt as well. How all the little things work
like how the vox communication always has the characters use their squad numbers as their call signs. i.e. if the squad leader of squad 10 wants to reach Gaunt (one), they'd ask for "1, 10" and Gaunt answers with "10, 1" so they know to whom they are speaking even if they can't tell from the voice distortion of the vox
lots of little things like that
without having to explain any of it
yeah the military aspect of it is really good even with some of the more dated parts compared to modern lore
ah thank you past me
so good
(dw about the background its a public registrar from a google search)

I watched all of last stream but then completely forgot to claim the reward frame on twitch
so i was a bit miffed
In the citry of Lupercalia a name of poor taste....
in the city of Lupercalia a name that must be changed....
Lupercalia the city whos name is very icky....
they mention it in the book like 5 times even during the horus heresy
im pretty sure if you name your kid horus your entire city would be nuked
The Darktide edging session commences next week
we getting new reading next week?
reading stories is too easy
i want the kayex8 VA to read 200 litanies of consecration while burning incense at the fatshark servers
Isnt it just sharpes rifles in space?
look a couple messages below that one and she says the exact same thing
but yeah, so I've heard before as well. Haven't watched Sharpe's but I believe it
Yep it is
Yeah its basically
Its good soldiering film
- Half the antagonist of most books is asshole officer characters that either hate Tanith or come to respect them
With ned stark not dying
- Their rivals are always another more asshole regiment
- They always get sent to the worst death zones and come out on top
- They always lose good characters because the cast is so big and war is hell etc
its a pretty good format
Tfw i just found out there's mold in my copy of Legion
That's probably why it was so cheap
oof
@safe plover thoughts
it was cheap because its bad
ehm ehm.
Remember when you were buying your first warhammer book? and you opened it right as you were about to read it? It was me, Pagliacci. I plastered mold on your book at super speed to make it seem like your book was rotten from the lack of use.
Spoken like a true legion hater
You came in the book?
i came ON the book
Sounds like a pretty good book
He was glazing his hatred like a true sith lord

I will read it anyways
its ok
My book is blessed by the grandfather
Mold is in chapter 3
soak thru
Are we talking about GG yes read it is good
Whoever was asking
Where did everyone go hellooo
listening to The Outcast Dead
seems kinda mid ngl
It is but idk itās kind of got a nice vibe
im still chasing this high tbh
going from the first heretic to the mark of calth was really fun
[meanwhile Battle for the Abyss⦠exists]
First impressions of the Night Lords omnibus, thereās a surprising amount of levity and it characterized the night lords themselves pretty well. Cutting off communications, a bit of shit talking, and even chuckling at a battle brother getting shot set the tone pretty fast. Theyāre complete assholes
This is all ADB right?
Yeah
Sure is. Apparently one of the better 40k writers from the limited info Iāve heard
Tbh thereās only a few warhammer authors nowadays Iād call truly bad
Most of them are just really really really middling
Dan Abnett is another name Iāve seen thrown around a bit, howās his stuff
Good
Yes generally considered second to Abnett or third after Abnett and Wraight
Iām not sure what I think except I agree with everyone and his dog that Abnett is number one.
Wraight and ADB def next dunno order.
Prob ADB second. Better with character complexity.
Best warhammer books Iāve read like everyone else are the inquisitor trilogies + Bequin
And Magos
Bequin for me being top
So far the characters are pretty great. I know the night lords are terrible people but the constant shit talking and dry humor between them is definitely entertaining
I have the eisenhorn omnibus too but havenāt cracked into it much more than the intro yet
These two are my first 40k books but the night lord one caught my interest faster
Oh itās a good choice!!
be me, gunnery deck sergeant on an imperium battleship
get boarded and within 30 minutes my command is dead and both the engines and weapons are offline
my entire sections hull gets blown to bits and exposed to the vacuum of space
somehow escape and join others running down the hall
a pitch black 10 foot tall demigod lifts me off my feet, checks my drip, and asks for directions in a scream so loud it deafens me
panic and shoot him point blank in the face
my own goddamn bullets pings off of him and kills me
Total imperium victory
I know itās not much compared to noise marines but I love that canonically a viable battle tactic is to burst into a room and RRREEEEEEEE the enemy into submission
Ive been reading the night lords too and talos is the first space marine ive seen actually use his acid spit in battle lol
Havenāt seen that yet Iām only like 100 pages into the first book
Yeah its a fair bit later in
they are great ones to start with

Just finished reading Lazarus. Didn't have high expectations but I actually enjoyed. Yes, SMs and of course we know Lazarus will live, but it has decent characters and the relationship between Lazarus and his Chaplain is interesting. Also, some strong Last of Us vibes š
I had to double take that, one of my non-BL novels is called Lazarus š
"Lazarus - Enmity's Edge" to avoid confusion then š
bros............ theres not enough sangui in horus heresy
are there any pre heresy blood angels books?
something happy š
there's plenty in the latter half

You'll see him dead and broken
CHAT i hate this guy....
first mistake: looking for "happy" in w40k
i meant happy as in not dead
second mistake: looking for "not dead" in w40k
š¬
And youāll like it
š¬
its ok just 10 more years im sure GW will bring him back
damn sangui got me chainsmoking
Mephiston is just a Shadow the Hedgehog version of Sanguinius, it's close enough
same for the MANUS
oh he was such a kickass general
his brothers has great respect for ferrus
everything shown is just foreshadowing his death and we're shown nothing of him at his best
Yeah, it sucks.
I do like the scenes we have with him largely but itās pretty lame
Like most primarch books, why they donāt just focus on their early life
I donāt get
yer i want to see him commanding armies and kicking absolute ass
I've got a long drive to do later, recommend me a good warhammer book
Inquisitor Ian Watson
No
Draco Ian Watson
I do have an actual weird age of Sigmar rec
This book is actually really really good.
Itās all about chaos cultists
And life in the aos equivalent of the chaos wastes
Itās beautifully written and really dark and compelling.
Strachanās prose is often magnificent.
Descent of Angels is a novel by Mitchel Scanlon and the sixth book in the Horus Heresy Series. It is slightly different from the preceding novels, as it is set almost entirely in the early stages of the Great Crusade and barely touches upon the immediate events of the Horus Heresy itself.[2b]
It was later included in "The Novels: Volume 2" eBook...
its horus heresy but has zero pre requisites
i've read/listened to the first 10 or so books
this route?
i honeslty don't think that fucking book guide means anything
i read seige of terra first without context and it was pretty good
only parts i thought 'wtf' about were with john grammaticus
siege of terra is more chronological
yeah thats what i read
the guide goes legion by legion and kinda chronological
plus i started reading right before end and death 3 came out and wanted to read that
so you can either go down or side ways then down
so i kinda sped through seige of terra to be ready for the end and the death vol3 to come out
the first heretic > know no fear > betrayer > mark of calth last story >preptual tho i can recommend if you havent read them
just checked, i have read battle for the abyss and not first heretic
battle for the abyss is book 8
first heretic came out afterwards
i kinda think the chronology of the horus heresy between flight of the eisenstien and the seige of terra doesn't matter
yeah but some stuff picks up directly after
like the last story in mark of calth is a direct continuation to the betrayer B storyline
I always suggest people to start with reading a lexicanum summary of the Siege before reading End and the Death myself
you really arent missing much so its prob the best way to go about it, the Siege can be summed up as "great moments interlaced with bolterslop and people shooting other people from walls" lol
angron getting sent back to the colliseum where he belongs
with some poor random guardsman as his opponents
really? i felt like end and the death had more filler than the rest of it
it easily could have been 2 books
still tho, its filler thats good enough you don't realize its filler until after its done
at least for me
It makes a lot of sense when you read the afterwords of Book 3 where Abnett literally says his editor Nick Kyme told him "dont worry about the wordcount, write as much as you need"
also yeah if i dont like the part i skimmed it
and didnt really miss much tbh
Oh man
YOU DIDNT KNOW?

yeah i was like "Ok that explains everything."
I think the 3 books got some great ideas but holy fuck the BLOAT
A few months on I don't even remember any of the whatever sidestories, they're just not needed
There was something about some inductii and a guy going yeah they're proper lads now, that's about what I remember
I had forgotten I guess bc Iām pretty sure I read the afterward!!
But it sure reads as unedited haha
Which is fine just like
Well the first three Song of Ice and Fire books were way better than Dance which GRRM wrote when he was too big to be edited
"Dont think about wordcount" is such a shitty thing to say as an editor imo
Id understand if this book explored all the culminations of the Siege but it just largely doesnt
Yeahhh
Ah well, it had its moments at least lol
Yeah a lot of them I thought!!
Saturnine though long was a tighter better book
Bet it was edited
lmfao
Book club bros we r letting lore channel absolutely mog us
You say this like the 2 channels arenāt mostly overlapping users
Yes but Iām the better version of myself on book club
Ok best warhammer crime stories go
Vorbis Conspiracy but if i had to pick one amidst the anthology prob Gutter Angels
also honestly all 3-4 stories with Ornthoptera
Flesh and Steel, Vorbis conspiracy
Fuck
haha owned
Yes
dude i loved when the assassin for the rogue trader shows up and goes "lord captain"
I was like
YOO I KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS

lol
I really need to read that one
Even if itās very more of the same
i tried Grim Repast and its kinda boring
lmao
I love actual imperial gutter trash
yeah thats why I loved Gutter Angels
the fucking cartel dudes were literally giving the dubai worker scam to the locals
and the woman was like "they are literally gonna enslave you bruh"
š
š
the ending to that has to be my favorite for any 40k story tho ngl
its such a good reminder of those slop Imperial Good Guy stories
God i need more anthologies from Crime
pls GW i cant read novels these days
š
speaking of
hmmmm

The cover art kinda fucks
The necroteuch affair (i only read eisenhorn)
Yea no shit
like gregorās other friends
Yes everyone seems to die as the story goes on
Tfw u think ur in a discord channel but itās actually an autoseance & u speak w Eisenhornās dead pilot
Septimus is my boy
āThe plan had to be carried out with subtletyā
Three lines later-
āBrothers! Everyone in this room is going to die!ā Screamed the terminator
āI heard bolter fireā
Absolute gigachad
the exalted just cant catch a break
I just read that trillogy. Was comcical to read how utterly helpless even a decent squad of astartes is, when going up against a seasoned terminator. One that had melee weapons only mind you. Without Malcharion, half of first claw would have been toast
Just about to finish up the first book
Just now read that part. Following up the the night lord rrreeeeeeee strat was solid
Just wait till you get to talos masterpiece in the last book... Not saying any more, but it is ingenious and glorious.
Aight bros I just finished the Night Lords omnibus last night and I have one burning question:
Ending spoilers: ||Are septimus and octavia okay? :C part of me doesn't want to accept the fact that variel killed them||

Dont know how to spoiler proof so i make it cryptic. It is never explicitly stated that he did you know what to you know who in aquiring you know what. For all we know, He could have stolen the asset quietly, with no resistance or convinced you know who to hand it over willingly. We never will know If and what sort of method/force was used.
"āBut why have you kept this from father? If any living being could know the key to it, it would be him!ā"
horus spoke the one logical thing in the entire heresy. have a problem? GO TO THE FUCKING EMPEROR
corax did it why didnt anyone else?
Because plot.
š
"hmmm our primarch is dying"
"should we put him in the poop cave or put him in stasis and send him to the emperor?"
gotta trust Eresus
mmmmm comfy poop cave
"i appear to be hearing voices, should i trust them or ask the fucker that made me if theyre normal?"
"i appear to be a psychopath with jagged teeth should i just vibe or ask the emperor to fix me?"
tbh im pretty sure the emperor just sold out 8 primarchs to the chaos gods i think that was the deal
thats my head canon at least
No but you see, this is what happens when middle aged men still have teenage angst
š¬ the only way i can see warhammer ending is the emperor pulling "i knew this was all gonna happen this was the only future to beat chaos and collect the 40000 hammers"
i had to become a human god i had no other choice š¤·āāļø
That is implying 40k will have an ending
I doubt gw wants to experience the shitstorm of ending an entire setting again
I guess you could make the argument that 40k entered its "end times" phase with cadia being destroyed and the primarchs coming back
But I doubt there will be an actual ending
Yeah 40k is not ending
the setting will evolve and mutate to adapt to the times when the time comes, thats it.
remember that the lore does not matter, its always minis first and a reason for people to play/have their armies remain relevant
To be fair the last time they ended a setting everyone reacted so violently that I'm pretty sure that they are not gonna do that anytime soon
Nuking WHF was also pretty necessary
Iirc death threats were sent
which people forget
yeah during that time everyone was forgetting it
To be fair when do 40k fans not send death threats

Also yeah at the end of the longterm it was the correct decision
AOS makes them shit ton of money
yeah and i'm just gonna say it it is pretty banger
Damn it Dilara have some empathy itās their love language
Never forget Matt Ward

Is Ward the one with the scat fetish or am I thinking of another author?
watch a warhammer fan violently explode as i tell him that Trazyn and the ubersreik 5 are his greatest
Yessss
remember
creations
Incredible
hey he has nothing to hide
Inquisitor was the first 40k book I read
Where⦠when
I must know yet I must not know
honestly as much as people meme about "haha gross sex bit" its one of the most wacky-fun novels I read, its very much a time capsule now since its been retconned to oblivion but its such a weird history piece
Yeah itās trippy af
Ever wondered how space marines defecate? No? Me neither, but still someone wrote a passage about it
And it captures the feel somehow
I thought everyone thought about this nonstop
Jesus Christ that passage is intense
Scat.
It even features a poop knife
Other than the convo w the emperor I recall most clearly from Inquisitor the description of the Slaanesh planet
It all fits in pretty well with Rogue Trader / Realm of Chaos era black and white 40k art
The slaanesh planet having literal buildings fuck each other was peak

Yes that would be the part lmao
AoS sanitized it and made it into continents eating each other in Ghur
Lmfao
The wokes making everything fake & gay again smdh
i was thinking in 30 years when we move to 50k
That will be after the actual ai apocalypse and butlerian jihad
I do also love how people always go
"they cant kill the emperor or destroy terra because the imperium will end"
bitch, this is 40k
this setting is built on excuses
we'll find a loophole

It took 30 years for the setting to get to 42M
Anime art for everyone
Yeah i do miss that old era of 40k
always 1 hour before midnight
it had a vibe about it
Yeah!
Yea it was also just kinda foreboding and unsettling
the entire universe was "stuck"
this people be forgetting that if the authors wanted to with the flick of their hand they can just say that an ork fleet emerge under terra and caught the imperium off guard
nothing can win too much
every faction has its fans and they wanna keep everyone happy
Uhhh kinda
Honestly though a lot of big endeavors die with the founding teamās departure and itās really impressive GW managed to retain a succession of highly creative people.
Its impossible ot keep everyone happy
Who had their own takes
they just do the best narrative outcome
Alright then what's your explanation for space marines
Its always fun to like read EXTREMELY old forum posts from their "ideas" on what was with 40k at the time
and random fan interviews and shit
its ok thats why we have sisters
cant have orcs beat space marines let them beat sisters
cant have tau beat marines have them beat sisters
See thatās all slaanesh wants
is WWE š
To give reality a big enema
sisters treated like an average woman in the uk š
is that so bad
yeah uh
if you think sororitas are bad now
you werent there pre 8th edition

that was some proper abuse and flinging under the bus, their treatment as a faction was insane
Man where are the Abnett / ADB level sororitas books I ask again
wasnt their first codex shared with another faction?
No their first codex was standalone
they got shafted years and years afterwards
it was very bad
Their diaries and letters are amazing
Half of it is unhinged or them just being horny
so much pent up⦠everything. Or rather everything directed to Christ
its so funny
Yes
YEP
i love the like
"WHY AM I ATTRACTED TO SOMEONE? IT MUST BE THE DEVIL"
bro stop coping
š
I love christian mythos in general, unruly housewives being horny? Nah dude it was some hot daemon babe/gigachad bothering them in their sleep
I literally want a sororitas novel that is just the politics of the⦠whatever they call their groups
Orders
i want a sisters of silence novel NOW
Well and Bequin 4 that pariah flavor
You're getting custodes and you'll like it
š¬ i want something from before point of initiation
then it moves on after she takes her vowes to her inner voice
The hammer and bolter sisters episode was ok
not doing bequin until they finish the series š¬
Though it was kind of chatgpt write a sisters short
dan abnett got me chainsmoking again š
yeah uh bad news
Arbitrator Ian's gf made an interview with Abnett last year
and he said hes doing a non-40k thing as a "palette cleanser"
Oh no
so lmao
yeah i know itll take a while
better get used to waiting
I wish there was more variety to the sister orders, that would be nice
bequin is the only thing touching on constantin valdor and the city of dust right now
Give me Bequin I need her Dan
i dont think they wanna reveal it so soon
Yeah
Overpriced Sanguinius model on the full reveal 100%
City of dust is what I call my pile of abandoned tabletop projects
I loved writing WHF, I miss it enormously.
You might get a chance to do it again
yeah they are activating the dig the grave protocol
NOO this doesn't have an audio release
haha owned
well it's just the short story collection, hopefully the omnibus and it's contents will be on audio as well
no wait
it has two novels

Okay they are the Fire Caste and Cult of the Spiral Dawn so I can manage this
Finished Fire Caste last month and hoping for an audio release for the Cult book soon
What did you think of Fire Caste?
Very good
Latter half especially
had some trouble remembering which character was which
If I remember it right, but I'm not sure anymore if it was in an interview or during our echanges, Fehervari wrote the novel in a "fever-dream" state and also wanted each character, no matter their importance to the story, to have their specific voice. That's something I really liked, as it reminded me of Game of Thrones with multiples PoV characters from opposing sides and being sometimes surprised by the way some characters were brutally killed off.
My favorite character was probably ||Audie Joyce, who wasn't supposed to survive that long when Peter started writing the novel, but found he was an interesting character to say something about religious fanaticism and that's how Audie ended surviving up to the endgame, while a lot of other characters who looked more important at first died before him.||
I also liked the sniper who gets ||knocked down almost at the beginning of the story, is dragged all the way by his comrades and ends up waking up for the final fight, does one critical shot and is then instantly killed.||
By the way, who do you think was (the most) right in the end? That's another thing I enjoyed, how the reader has to form his own opinion about it, as Fehervari doesn't just tell us "this side was right".
Funny enough the khan and his white scars (aka the fast as fuck bois) were the only ones to pull a āletās wait and see. Weāll make a choice when we have more infoā
Well basically everyone else had the issue of almost immediately being embroiled in the war
The Heresy was engineered so anyone they didnāt think they could turn was busy, or separated and attacked.
Khans wasnāt because Horus thought he could turn him.
was reading Da Big Dakka, and saw the ||black-blue/white-yellow color meme||, i dont know if i like the author anymore
when ||Snaggy (or Snuggy) started talking to grots, and 2 of them were fighting cause one thought that the sky around the city was white-yellow, and the other was telling that it was black-blue||
Uhhh I dont know that meme, i thought it was just a comedic bit
nah, it is an actual meme and it went viral lots of year ago
Wait, do you mean that blue dress thing
seen this recently
i still dont understand how the fuck someone would think that its yellow-white
Their dang brain broken
the person that made this tweet is such a cunt too
lmao, didnt know
aw hell naw im not opening twitter for it, this link is a meme i took from a meme channel from another server
Lmao but yeah she posted that shit to create an argument since its a meme of the colorblind dress thing from awhile ago
I too liked those two characters for what they had going on.
But I didn't really think of anyone being in the 'right' in the end. Holt was ||a man at the very edge of sanity barely making a sense of things and probably tainted. Both forces there were just pushing meat through the grinder and both not for too dissimilar reasons. ||
||Trinity and the mystery around it was interesting and how you had to put one to one together to realize what happened by the end was pretty great||
I probably should have said "less wrong" then. š When thinking about it, I ended up finding that ||the Sky Marshall's choice (the one who made a pact with the Tau to keep the state of war to a minimum level) was kind of like the trolley problem: he could either have a few regiments being sent to Phaedra or having a full-on war against the Tau with millions of lives lost. He tried to reduce the pain and suffering in the only way he could.||
Yeah, took me some time to crack that one! I was kind of annoyed with the ending being ||so nihilistic until I realized the "loop" the Arkan Confederates are stuck on||. It was nice reading a BL novel and having to actually think about it to get what happened, for once.
By the way, if you read Requiem Infernal, did you notice which character was present in both novels? Well, there's at least one I'm thinking of.
And did you read Vanguard just after Fire Caste? Loved the twist when I realized, well, the "link" existing between both stories.
I've only listened through Fire Caste, I'll probably do Requiem next
Sky Marshal he was called
The twist ||to have the Tau shoot him and finally Holt was a bit weird though. Why have him to get there and try and kill the Sky Marshall as the Tau planned but then just to resort to killing him yourself when Holt started to hesitate||
Maybe I missed something in his rhetoric
From what I remember, the Tau needed ||a scapegoat to explain that he wasn't responsible for the Sky Marshall's death. As Holt hesitated (something rare with a commissar!), he ended up doing it himself, using Holt's weapon iirc?|| I'm not sure, I guess I have no other choice but to read it again. š
Ah yeah
Why do people dislike the Minka Lesk series of books so much and don't even acknowledge the character existing (the wiki's)
https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Arminka_Lesk
she is literally on Lexicanum wdym
Arminka[2i] Lesk, who goes by Minka, is a Sergeant of the Cadian 101st Regiment, who survived the destruction of the planet Cadia during the 13th Black Crusade.[1b]
As for the series I haven't found any people who've read it and dislike it aside from the first book which is Cadia Stands
where it has Pask(in a baneblade???) die on Cadia????
which makes no sense since Pask wasn't on Cadia and he'd never be caught dead in a baneblade
lexicanum is kind of an ugh one. Oh
Its literally more accurate then Fandom
Fandoms thing is that it often just
copy and pastes stuff straight from the Codexes and rulebooks or has blatently innaccurate or made up info
or is selective of what they put
Yeah, tyberos is way taller than that
I hope you stub your toe
Thereās a reason he has to use modified Knight armor
Yeah I heard it took the top guys on mars like 5 years to extend and widen the plating
Yeah itās hard for the Carcharadons to source Warhound Titan armor but they make do.
Something something red tithe something something new knights
be hound
draw shotgun on a night lord
tell him you ate a crag cougar
refuse to elaborate
Best night lord trilogy side character
Love that little guy
Every time someone underestimates tyberos'size, he grows another meter
What does that size make him rn, like 16 ftish
Hes like 1ft above
I know I meant the fanart
its just people sucking his cock because Height = Badass
idk break out the ruler
š
I think the misunderstanding of hisnsize is also the fact that people do not realize that tactical dreadnought armor is terminator armor.....
Its just wank
like i said the bigger he is the more cooler in their eyes which is comic book teenager shit
It's prime cool logic, that's why primarchs are so cool
that's why yo mama's so cool

not gonna lie, ||Dakka happened to be really Big||
both are fine and fun
ya read warboss?
mostly i hate some ways the writer can explain something sometimes
like, "orks do stuff - because its fun, not because this or that, or this or these - and..."
i hate this writer move
ive red only brutal kunnin and da big dakka so far
if we're talking about orks
ah well in warboss snaggi gets introduced
its pretty much the same shenanigans for him in that book compared to da big dakka
yeah it's weirdly connected like this
warboss is far away but one of its characters is important and ended up in big dakka which is snaggi
ok
well as important as a a grot anyway
ufthawk shows up for like 2 seconds in warboss just for snaggi to join him
ill continue 2nd book about eisenhorn
still a decent book though
Apparently I listened to 1000 hours of warhammer last year.. oops
It happens

thank you Jonathan
My main man J Keebs
Goat
Only 22 titles, most of which weren't even warhams. Shame on me for branching out and not enough
keeble...
i still cant get over how he plays girls/women/daemons
man can do 30 voices but only one voice for women
Yeah when male VAs in these audiobooks do female voices it always makes me laugh
i appreciate the effort i guess lol
Keebleās in particular are so bad lol but we love him still
Yeah i ignore it every time it just makes me chuckle lol
its not comedically bad but could be worse
It sounds like a guy imitating his annoying ex
it sounds like this to me
A little off topic but i was told the best way to start into Warhammer fantasy was the gotrek and Felix novels. Which one was the first one again? Or do they come in omnibus form?
Trollslayer is the first one, there are omnibuses as well but they might be hard to come by
Thx
Yah Iād go from beginning
Vol. 10 of the horus heresy is kinda mid. Tales of heresy. Only good part about this antholgy book within the series is the last church ....
