Last night I read Cypher and while it was very cool for context, the ending was also pretty bullshit. Anyone who felt otherwise?

I think the only positive id say of the book is the mass-exploration of the underbelly of the Imperial palace

seeing stuff like the Dark Cells is also really great, otherwise yeah Cypher just makes it to the end, Emperor goes "Nah we need another book homie hold off" and hes like "Aight big man im off"

I also love the ABSOLUTE comedy of the Dark Angels going so fucking far to hide themselves from having ever infiltrated the imperial palace

i think its nice that we actually get confirmation of Cypher being out in the wild again but otherwise yeah the book is just whatever

Even the confrontation between the custodian and the Dark Angels, showcasing the lethality of the former and latter was pretty interesting to read

Alright so ||basically its literally just another mcguffin hunt, Coteaz wants to get this shit called Soulglass or whatever that can stop his aging because he has a duty to uphold and butts head with an old interrogator that he wronged whos now doing her own thing, they go to this planet, it gets infested by nurgle in one of the rarer well written parts of the book, they defeat big generic evil daemon, coteaz and his ex-interrogator butt heads constantly and in the end after he got the soulglass much to the joy of his ex-interrogator he smashes it because lol heresy||

one of the most basic novels i read lol

probably also the most tired format ever

like I censor this stuff out of courtesy but you could have prob guessed the entire thing

It’s pathos, and also a demonstration of the terrible power of Astartes.

But her chapters were the most compelling to me.
