Word Bearers are a really mixed topic for me, because they have some really good characters, then there are some that absolutely shit the bed and make everything involving them really awkward. Lorgar in my opinion is that character. He was told countless times that the Emperor did not want to be worshipped as a god and that there was to be no gods in the Imperium, fuck he could have preached the Imperial Truth as his "god" but he really wanted something higher then him to lay all his blames on, and something he can point at and shift responsibility towards in my opinion. Doesn't help when characters like Argel Tal feel fucking embarrassed sometimes being a son of Lorgar.
