yeah but pooooorly written
"-just no"
Isn’t it weird that The emperors made basically 2 primarchs for everything
there could have been a better backstory but it turned out meh
Aight time for an epic lore bombshell
ruh roh
Alphalegion are tzeench
Thousands sons are the sorceree tzeench part, alphalegion are scheme tzeench part. Them not knowing that themselves is 100% in-character
blood ravens are the real thousand sons
Emperors children are part eldar
I never got why they went with that angle. Like damn bro they had like 3 librarians we know of
pursuit of knowledge
Ok fair i guess
similar color to pre heresy thousand sons too
raven also being a mythological tie to wizards
would actually be dope if this was cannon
Did anyone else here get extremely confused by the entire blood raven corruption plot
So there was ulkair
yes
And he talked to the chapter master on the space hulk
But at the same time
A khorne demon posessed the apothecary
And was the messenger of that other demon
Its incredibly convoluted yeah
also
somehow
nobody noticed the librarian being corrupt
lmao
Ikr
I'd go on the why tf is he worshipping khorne angle but if has been done a trillion times
nowhere does it say all marines have high iq
Bro i remember the 40k lore sub taking every faction to its absolute extreme opness and coming up with legit bs like apparently space marines are extremely well read and would be genius politicians if one was just dumped on the white house
So what exactly makes all the eldar subfactions unqiue?
like an ultramarine yeah
Craft worlds worse
Them swearing by guardsmen being able to just waddle into hive worlds and larp as space marines is my favorite "LORE" of theirs so far
world eater most definitely not
As in craftworlds
Yeah
Or dark eldae/exodites
Honestly not much. They havent been fleshed out at all imo. Really they just have different levels of superstition and trust in psykers and farseers
Mostly specialization and governance. Ulthwe as an example is lead by a seer council and has a large host of powerful psykers
wdym no sex? eldar can have sex
they just struggle to have kids
Biel tan is especially militant, with a large amount of aspect warriors.
Alaitoc is especially traditonalist, producing alot of outcasts due to this.
Iyanden suffered alot of losses, and thus use Ghost warriors more
Saim Hann is especially rsdical with their own tribal formations
Ulthwe is especially psychically gifted, focusing on their seers. They also keep their guardians better trainrd
I mean not feeding Slaanesh, with the paths and such
This is a small summary
Eldar have sex while wearing wrinkled old men masks to feel absolutely no pleasure from the experience

Wha-

Also for the love of god
Offical lore trust me bro
Eldar can have any sort of sex, as long as it isnt hedonistic its fine lmao
people legit think the moment two eldar kiss it will summon a demon invasion or something
I know it won’t lmao, I just don’t know anytning about eldar besides corsairs
Because space pirates are my favorite anytning sci-fi
Yes
wtf
Of course I do
dies of
OH

I love imagining eldar as the faction who 100% embraced the ideology of stupidass sigma grindset facebook posts
"Sleep 8 hours a day"
"Learn a skill for 1000 years"
"No sex to disturb the grind"
And the eldar corsiars
you failed your Imperium compliancd test
Good
They also finally get their own lore page on the 9th edition eldar codex
FUCK YEAHHHHHHH
they watch morbius in the mean time
Im gonna copy paste it to you in the DMs in a bit, doing studies 💀
I’ve been planning to just kitbash all my eldar into corsairs
Yeah thats totally do-able
I have the guardians
Corsairs also have their own section of lore in W&G
^
GW on their way to make a KT unit all but unusable in 40k
Corsairs are so comically restricted in 40k
Like the actual unit
atleast other factions get to use their KT units
Theyre actually better for Drukhari than they are for CWs
Which ones cant?
guard
veteran squads got nothin
its made even worse by vet squads now just being bad
because they'll set you back 120~ points
Ripp
when 2 fully kitted standard squads are 60 each
Wiat what
Yeah Guard codex is getting rlly weird
Because its on faq crutches and weird ass ancient interactions/ppm
watch vottan get a release first and IG get more band aid patches
Corsairs dont count as troops for filling a detachment and they arent rlly good for their points
They are only rlly good for drukhari because
You can get runes of fortune
And a psyker
Out of them
They only count as filling a detachment in ONE CIRCUMSTANCE
Which is:
You have Yriel as your warlord

When the people forget to watch morbius they are no longer human and become something less than beasts. They have no place in the bosom of humanity nor in the heart of the Emperor. Let them die and be forgotten.
-quoting from the Prime Edicts of the Holy Synod of the Adeptus Morbiurum
Are they at least good at holding objectives
I dont think they get obsec so no
you reminded me
gotta watch my daily morb dose
This is talking abt the actual like corsair unit btw
You can always just run CW as corsairs
As fluff
Yeee I know
Fluff is free
✨
This is how I make sure all my dnd characters aren’t just druids number 582
also like
whether or not a unit is great doesn't matter outside of competetive play
Well, I would usually agree
And you are right
But corsairs are
REALLLLLLY bad
If you get what I mean
Like 100 for the troop variant, 120 for the elite? I think
WHAT THE FUCK
For a trash unit?
Bruh
I’d probably just run the corsairs as like character units, like the pyker as a farseer and suck
Is a pure morbius army still viable for competitive play
I think eventually Corsairs might get a expansion and become sort of like Harlequins now
A small army where they can be ran alongside CWs/Drukhari and retain their traits
morbes
necron morbius orb
morbcron morb orb
trazyn with his resurrection morb orb
Morbute guilliman
How so?
Morbinius
Harlequins have a rule called Travelling Players where they can be included in a CW or Drukhari army and both the harles and other army retain all their abilities
Corsairs also were the O.G ynnari in the case that they could literally use half the vehicles in the eldar model range
even harlequins and whatnot
Morblocks best eldar unit
Honestly playing Ynnari is probably a good way to simulate corsairs
Yeee
Sadly the Drukhari part of the Ynnari get kind of gimped
Since no Power from pain but they still play good
Gonna be honest I have no clue how any eldar ynits even work lmao
Very fragile very fast very killy in general
The subfaction just sets the scale
Being like
CWE-Harlequins-Drukharu
With CW being more durable and less fast/killy (but still those things)
And Drukhari being the fastest and most lethal, but the most fragile
Harlequins are kind of interesting sknce they dont fit the scale too great
Theyre incredibly elite so theyre kind of good at it all, but sort of take the aeldari general stuff to the next level
They are ESPECIALLY fast, ESPECIALLY killy, and fragile, albeit less so
Just less models
Harles def more melee focused tho
OoOoooo
The eldar seem kinda similar to Slaanesh actually
Weird
Like game play wise
Yeah theyre both fast armies
Slaanesh basically no shooting tho in terms of daemons
Yeee
Should go to mention that CW and Harles both have strong psykers
CW probably being a bit better but shadowseers slap too
Oh yeah I heard shadow seers are cool
They can but Guy Haley has been very clear on the fact that he'll never write chaos corrupted Tau as their main writer because its a subject he doesnt want to do.
I just realized we can’t actually know what the emperor fully looks like, he’s never fully described and when he is it’s always Inconsistent with the only repeating fact is that he glows a golden light. And all the painting we have of him are made by a human and we know how horrifically bias they are. Plus the emperor just has the ability to change how people see him so if he does pose he will probably just make the artists see the best possible human or some shit.
Like in the first heretic he’s describe as a wrinkled cold elderly man and a heavenly young what ever the fuck.
He's fully described actually
Oh fr?
its just that his "current form" is his preferred one
Yeee
he can basically like
morph into whoever he wants
Oh
Okay yeah that would explain alot
1 sec, excerpt time
also Hiiii Dilara!
👋
also here
The reflection changes. For an instant, a figure of iron and blades with coal-furnace eyes is looking back at Him from a throne of chrome. Then it is gone, and the reflection is a blur of images falling one atop another: a golden warrior standing with drawn sword before the gates of a towering fortress, a figure before the mouth of a mountain cave, a boy with a stick and fear in his eyes, a Queen with a spear atop a cliff, an eagle with ten wings beating against a thunder-threaded sky – on and on, images tumbling over each other like the faces of cards tossed through the air.
‘Is there any truth in you?’ asks the voice that comes from the dark.
The images vanish and the darkness hangs before Him. It falls into the abyss beneath like a cascade of obsidian sand.
‘At the root of your lies, is there any truth, father?’
The darkness becomes a forest, dark trunks reaching to an untouchable sky, roots crawling out and down into the abyss beneath. The man on the chair is sitting on the snow-covered ground, a fire burning before Him. A shadow moves out of the dark between the trees. It is huge, sable-furred and silver-eyed. It drags its shadow with it as it comes forwards. It pauses on the edge of the light.
‘You claim to be a man,’ says the wolf, ‘but that is a lie revealed to any that can see you here.'
For context this is Big E meeting with Horus in the warp
its during the Siege
Hehehe that quote at the end
🙏
I like what that guy says at the end of the last church where he realizes that the emperor isn’t human and can’t possible understand what it means to be human
Yeah it does
I always love it when they stab the emperor to reveal his flaws
He could have hand killed any of his sons except Horus, the only one he showed any actual emotion to besides treated as a tool
It’s the perfectly ironic
Y'know we might one day get an Emperor miniature and I dread the day. This is mostly speculation and some think it confirmed because the Horus Heresy rulebook has a mention of him as a unit/model. At least I will have to see less of the godawful 3rd party models after it if something
tbh i think if Big E was gonna get a mini he'd have long ago
If he does I’d hate it so much
well all the primarchs had to be out first
Okay if it was like, a diorama model like those giant space marines
but now they all are
yeah as a corpse in the chair
I WISH
"$150, please"
40k*
ayyyyyyyyyyy
Pfff lmao
What? Meant that now all of the primarchs minis are out
‘Real life emperors throne’ and its like a yellow bean bag chair
I meant the uhhh those giant space marine models
more like a golden double decker couch
ah, yeah.
toilet*
by the emperor
never would I have thought i would have laid my eyes upon such solemn beauty
The sheer power echos from the holy golden color
I had a dream gw announced new lore that all the custodies just began dying at random and like removed all their named characters
And gutted their codex
Basically squated the custodies
Lmao I would fucking die
my guys still cant let that World Eater punch go
or Valerian being semi-unsure to fight Moloc
Yeah
We’re wasting time. Diocletian was on the edge of unmannerly cursing when another hololith appeared at the table. This one wore damaged armour plating, spinning a spear in gloved hands. Weapons and talons slashed into view at the edges of the holo’s range, but the warrior weaved aside from every blow he didn’t block. Bladed replies lashed back, killing the wielders of those weapons. The warrior didn’t break stride. He was always moving. ‘Reload!’ the holo called out, laden with distortion.
He drove his spear into the ground by his feet and immediately pulled his meridian swords, turning and whirling into another phase of his arcane battle- dance. ‘Compliance.’ A servitor’s voice, toneless and obedient. The warrior moved away from the spear, it vanished out of the holo’s range. The swords rose and fell, twisted and parried, thrust and hacked. Blood rained past him in flickering sprays. Endlessly came the crash of energy fields ramming against ceramite, warping the reinforced metal, mangling it, shattering it. The figure of a colourless Space Marine staggered into the holo’s view, tumbling
to the ground with a blade through his spine. The warrior severed the falling legionary’s head from his shoulders without looking, already turning to meet another foe. ‘Reloaded,’ came the augmitted, mechanical voice again. The warrior sheathed both blades in a smooth motion, weaved aside from a swinging flail, which missed him by a metre, and reached upwards.
He caught the spear in the air, bringing it down in another parry. He disengaged with a roar of effort, throwing his unseen opponent back. The guardian spear banged three times, spitting three bolts in succession, only to spin with another frenzied howl of abused energy fields as the blade punched through another legionary’s chestplate.
The spear tore viscera and shards of armour free in a wrenching burst as he yanked the blade back, one-handed. His other fist discharged a laser-spit of digital weaponry from his clenched knuckles, lascutting through the faceplate of a charging, crested Legion officer. Another fighter joined him in the whirling dance. A cloaked female wielding a circuit-lit zweihander, guarding his back one moment, then guarded in kind a moment later. They couldn’t have looked more unalike – fighting with utterly different styles, at different speeds; male and female, gold and black; towering genhanced warrior in auramite and regal huntress in armour that honoured the most ancient eras of warfare. Yet they moved in savage harmony, never coming close to harming one another. They fought in the spaces created by each other’s fighting styles.
She hacked overhead when the long spear whirled aside, killing the enemy that fought to slip within his guard. He thrust over her shoulder, slaughtering the foes that sought to move behind her. Zephon’s pale eyes narrowed, his concentration absolute, taking in the ballet of violence unfolding before him. He had seen the warriors of the Ten Thousand fight before, albeit only in grainy pict footage.
He had heard the countless unpoetic comparisons describing their uniqueness as the perfect exemplar of a process that became diluted and rushed to mass-produce the Legiones Astartes. Yet he had never seen them in battle against Space Marines. This warrior reaved through them – reaved through Zephon’s cousins from the rebellious Legions – cutting them down, butchering them the way Zephon himself had massacred his way across human and alien battlefields. How easy, all of a sudden, to see how Constantin Valdor, the Captain-General of the Custodian Guard, was considered an equal of the primarchs themselves in matters of blade-work, when any Custodian could be as skilled as this. Had the Emperor foreseen this?
His thoughts curdled, growing gravid with treason. Is this what they were made for? This annihilation? This slaughter of legionaries? ‘We’re here, Dio,’ came the Custodian’s words between panted breaths.
AHAHAHAH
That’s hilarious
I have such mixed feeing towards custodies
On the plus side they actually have character
On the negative side when ever the imperium is losing to anytning they can just say ‘and the custodies arrive’
But that’s all the space marine factions
Wouldnt Custodes have the same problems as grey knights?
Nids won the war

best summary you'll get
Wow they really just brute force every faction into the lore Huh
YEP
All I remember is a tryanid offing an ork warboss and that Khrone daemons were there for like 12 hours which causes a metric shitload of cult uprisings
To be fair the cults and cult Marines will use any excuse to uprise upon any sign of anytning g
Pretty much
I remember that when fulgrim arrived to see rylanor that caused a surge or Slaanesh cults, cult marines, and EC to fuck shit up for days
It was like some serious damage until they got bored and went back to petty raids, sex, drugs, and rock and roll
Even if fulgrim got fucking bodied
I know I'm late to the party but god I hate it when people try to connect AoS to 40k and vice versa, they're clearly to completely independent universes to the point where calling connections a stretch is generous.
I know Warhammer fans are Warhammer fans but why they can't leave the two settings alone I will never understand
SAME
It’s funny when they explain proof wise all they say is ‘the warp’
It's especially frustrating as it comes across as some 40k fanboy who reads one AoS lore excerpt and is like ah yes this sounds like a marine
People tried to say the silver knight of Slaanesh, who is only mentioned in the chaos Daemon 40K codex, was some fucking AOS character
Even though all proof points grey knight
It's like they look for any description of a chunky fella and say ah yes that must be a marine
No way it could be anything else
I said thsi a few days ago but one fantasy character shared the name of an important eldar
So I suggested what if they just started naming minor AOS characters after important 40k characters
‘Yes this is my favorite Gloomspite git, Konrad Curze’
‘My horse breeder Gulliman’
This also falls flat though, chaos in AoS is the nothingness that surrounds all the realms as the connecting glue, and at the eight points, it isn't some alternate reality/dimension like the warp because they destroyed the world that was, it is a part of everything
I heard a theory that AOS exists on a plant in the 40K warp
"BuT gReY kNiGhTs ArE iNcOrRuPtIbLe"
And that sigmar was the soul of teh emperor
NO THE FUCK THEY ARENT AHHHHHHHHHH HE LITERALLY WENT FAVE TO FACE TK THE GOD OF PLEASURE AND PERSUASION
And then this does a disservice to Warhammer fantasy AND AoS
Yeah
Sigmar is a fleshed out character with realistic flaws and Ideals even as a god, the emperor wishes he could be more like that
The emperor is a metaphor to me, being so perfect of a human you can’t understand what it means to be human
Actually most of 40K is irony
As much as Sigmar embodies a god of war, he is still a flawed human, a reasonably barbaric one at that. He understands violence and how to do battle but struggles with strategy and how to properly manage large forces
There's a reason he can't just shit stomp Archeon
Gonna be honest idk AOS lore
Ah gotcha no worries then
Except chaos and gloomspite gits
And chaos daemons is basically 2 armies at the price of one
Sigmar is a "God of War" but seems to really struggle with the cunning part of strategy
Oh I thought he was the god of order
Sees most fights as winnable through prowess and skill when those his forces are against very rarely fight honourably
so he is ares more or less lol
Nah he is just the founder of the Order Pantheon
That explains the sigmar marines, why have strategy when you can just revive people to keep fighting
Oh and death, I know like the basics of death
Essentially the bros that started civilisation again, mankind, elfkind, dwarfkind and the undead working hand in hand to make a living in the mortal realms
Well...they sorta don't wanna keep being revived, as through being reforged they gradually lose more and more humanity and become more and more an aspect of the storm
So whilst they grow in power they also lose why they fight
Fairly
They got some wins when it seems they should
And they're powerful enough to beat the heavy hitters
Ooooo
Nagash the God of Death got laid low by Archeon
And Archeon tricked Sigmar into losing his hammer
Oh yeah didn’t all of experiments fucking fail
And he kinda just gave up
Who Nagash?
Yeah
archaon got beat by grimgor
only cause grimgor got a daemon axe tho
Not sure what experiments you mean but he created the Bonereapers successfully
But it took Katakros to perfect them
The night haunts and bone reapers and uhhh
Give them a proper military structure etc
Soulblight gravelords and flesh eater courts
Yeah
Of them the Bonereapers are most effective
Only army to get a foothold in the home of chaos and Archeon
Took Archeon to show up to kick them out, and seeing how powerful he is that means alot
Oh? I hope you don't mean the Archaon got kicked in the balls by Grimgor lore
yees
Afraid I'm fairly certain it's non canon my friend
Oh yeah so what exactly are beastmen?
ah yes
retconned i forgor
But hey it's based lore
They are cool but they don’t follow the chaos gods, but the hunting shit is super cool
But are under chaos
Well they do follow the chaos gods
It's how you end up with Tzangor/Slangor/Khornegor etc
But they don't worship them as those god's usually, but the primal aspects of them
Khorne as their own primal bloodlust
OH MY GOD I NEVER REALIZED THE CULT GORS ARE JUST THE HODS NAME THEN GOR
Slaanesh as they enjoy the excess of living as animal
And tzeentch because mutation
rituals
Nurgle for being stinky beast people
I know in 40K beastmen join tzeetch because they want to be smart
I remembered, it's because they worship the fact that he mutated them
They're the reason beastmen exist
But you're right, they don't really care about the chaos gods, more so the elements they represent
They just despoil civilization because they revel in being feral/they're envious of the lives they could have had
Yeah some are just pissed that they were born beastmen
AoS lore is usually straight to the point with very little bloat which is nice
beastmen were retconned into being generic never-do-wells who just hate humanity and civillization because they present order instead of chaos, instead of having psychotic envy, which i never liked
Oh really? Wasn't aware of that
There’s something admirable about wnating it to destroy everything for no reason besides ‘fuck everything’

So as I guessed
literally half the video is filler
lmao
Is the other half accurate ?
Eh kinda?
Its kind of obvious he was most likely asked to do this as like an "intro" video i think
I really the design of the floaty kind of possessed, like what hsi name and the red angel
Where they are literally chained to the ground
Lmao GW broke Horus heresy card game meta and made it unplayable so they had to make a new card game of Warpforge
I mean, at least its not Combat Cards
I forgot combat cards existed
Yes Agreeed
I think I have a new favorite chapter in the steel confessors though kinda eh on their paint scheme
are melta bombs mini nukes?
hm so setting one off on a plasma generator would not end well for anyone i bet lol
i asked cause those damn cultist from the exeior or whatever assassin video popped into my head just now and i still dont know if their plan warrented one of those being sent after them lol
its explosives next to explosives so likely not
cause like one melta bomb in a genatorium doesnt seem like it would do much more than knock out power
Yes, that is what it would do, melta bomb are not 360 explosions, it is focused one and it is just as support, they are mostly a termite thing, burning so hot that they eat the thing they are attached to
so not a very big threat like i thought
who
Okay so in history some greek mathematics dude was named archimedes
But in 40k there is a genius ork
Named Orkimedes
They're a big threat to single targets but otherwise yeah not a mini nuke
I think uh
STRANGE AS IT IS TO ADMIT THIS
Eternal Crusade has a good portrayal of meltabombs
You can't throw them very far and basically have to attach them to things up close, and the explosion they produce, while it will kill most things in the vicinity, is easy to avoid
They are not frag grenades
Too bad the game is dead and bad
@plush mason
tbch its for the best as i was gona show it to a friend of mine that is a massive doom fan and is starting to get into warhammer. and it might make him like GR more
so how do the alpha legion make themselves look like members of the other legions/chapters?
like is it tech or something else?
I'd say 90% of the time its just paint. And decent acting skills
lol
Every alpha legion is basically like Gary Oldman
Alpharius is Gary Oldman. It’s cannon now
Primaris marines are cancer /fin
Basically just active camouflage or cloaks
they dont really have that holographic thing most artwork shows them using
or they just manufacture/steal the armour of other legions
was it Unremembered Empire or a book before it where the Alpha Legionaries tried to attack Guilliman in his office or something in Ultramarine armours
They stole Spy TF2's cigarette case
Yes. They posed as sergeant Theil and attacked him in his office. Destroyed his human dad's computer, the bastards.
😔
Paint
Would the other primarchs react similarly to modern imperium?
Like being completely disappointed by what their father's glorious empire has turned into
most likely even though not all thought it that glorious even in the first place
Yeah pretty much none of the loyalist primarchs would react well to the current Imperium
Who would have the most negative reaction?
Probably Lion and Russ
the others would have a more "collected" but more subdued reaction considering the pragmatism of Primarchs like the Khan and Vulkan
Dorn would go on a tantrum on all the churches on terra, then he would order to demolish them all for defence motives... Even though he was fully aware of the religious path the imperium was taking before and after the siege of terra
TBF russ wouldn't care much about it
He would care more about the inquisition BS
The lion, well, he is the one capable to do something nasty...
Russ would probably try to just party the heck out on Fenris
But be dragged into politics
Due to some Inquisitor getting on his nerve
Russ would hate the entirety of the Imperium and be on a warpath
hes a dumbass but still has a massive anti-authority stance
What if we took all the loyalist primarchs and just pushed them somewhere else
Tru
i like how argel's death is a major contributing factor to kharn going completely insane
since their uh
friendship
held him together a good deal
Kharn going around teamkilling with a flamer on skallathrax screaming "MY BOYFRIEND IS DEAD"
Argel
He uses these
very sussy
neat
I’m assuming the two REDACTEDs are the two lost primarchs
very based
Yay
Plastic leviathan
big angy dread
Hey so who is Prince Yriel?

Lov this pic, argels got that waist GRIPPED
Hes getting his world eaten tonight
So if the unforgiven have 19 official second founding chapters (and the da themselves)
Does that mean there are in total 1900 death wing
And 1900 raven wing
There are more that either aren't publicly acknowledged or don't want to be known as DA successors
@slow prawn
Or just
Aren't listed
Because official successor chapters are far from the only successor chapters of any given first founding chapter
Unless explicitly stated otherwise like the space wolves pre-primaris
And technically the salamanders pre-primaris though that's fuzzy
Dark Angels lore here?
Well, to be honest I had no idea there that many DA second founding Chapters
Just the Angels of Redemption, Vengeance, Absolution, possible Vigilance, and finally the Lions Sable
WAY too many
Ah, well not all of them are Second Founding
Second Founding is the one where Chapters are established, immediately after the Heresy
The ones after, I’ll bet the Dark Angels and their successors chipped in to help establish them, especially their first and second companies
Star phantoms is a cool as fuck name
Star phantoms are also very codex compliant and seem to have a mutual dislike of the dark angels
As if they left the unforgiven
Basically the DA equivalent of how the mortifactors hate ultramarines
Thats only official second founding aswell
Right
So there would be more than 1900 of each but only those in the actual da are called deathwing and ravenwing
Yeah about a legion's worth
They wouldnt have a last wall protocol
They would have the last fortress
God damn
Now let’s see blood angels successor chapters
why do people not liek lorgar and angron to a lesser extent
Angron is legit like, sympathetic man, he only spent his entire life suffering and was made into a being of only anger. and when he finally was able to rebel and finally have revenge against a world that saw him nothing but a hound, it was stolen from him from a tyrant that treated him as nothing but a tool
lorgar ai can see why people cant like him, but also its 100% the emperors fault
We don’t know why the Emperor took him away from the battle. Not sure why he didn’t bother to send his custodes to help, but in some sense he did it for a reason. Whatever that reason is.
But the reason why people hate him is because what he did to his legion
he used the butcher nails on his legion knowing what it’ll do to them, he still hates them even after the nails implanted. Then betrays the emperor because of what was stolen from him
Lorgar was actually innocent until fucking erebus came in
yeah, but he saw his legion as a final cruel joke to his life, he rose a band of rebels and slaves who experienced unimaginable pains, and then he was given a legion of lap dogs
as he watched his closest friends and allies die upon the hill
im nto excusing his murders, im saying that he has a damn good reason to hate them
and teach his legion suffeirng
the thing about that, he always viewed them nothing like his warriors on his home world. Here’s the thing, each primarchs represent the emperors soul
Angron represents humanity of the emperor
more like the emotion of it
so imagine how much his legion tried to go far to earn his love
The butcher nails literally defiles that sense
if you remembered, he wouldnt want to kill a person who doesn’t have a strength to fight
oh hi nameless
the emperor's actions on angron's homeworld show he has very little if any humanity or compassion
here’s the thing people forget, the emperor removed his emotions that way it doesn’t cloud his crusade
or ambitions. He regrets doing that
does he?
the emperor showed compassion and kindess to mainly the loyalist legions
and EC
and also Horus
The emperor still viewed them as tools
manf uck the emperor
again because he removed his emotions at the time
all my chaos homies hate the emperor
Lorgar was a swell guy, until erebus came in
Lorgar was legit amazing, he conqured a shit laod of planets with out a spill of blood, theres a really good quote that shows like the sheer anger that he wanted
and was most angry that the emperor told him nothing
they hated tehm for doing exactly what they were told
and only reprimanded him when he was finished, and destroyed litreally the perfect city
not quite, if you remembered he was a priest at his home world so religion was a big thing
yeah, he believed that there was a true golden god
and vouched for him and covereted the entire planet to his idea
then big E arrived
and that was literally his god
and gave him a legion
and bam he left and claimed planets in his holy name
the emperor want religion to be non existent because of chaos. Lorgar wanted some kind belief on what he was doing was right because he felt that this crusade was not morally right in a way
erebus planted that seed of doubt in him
how much do you know about erebus?
erebus didnt even suggest anything until the burning
also i know he was the fucking worse yatta yatta, but even then
i hate him too
I know he only suggested chaos because unlike the rest of his legion he only wanted power from it
may i spoil on erebus then?
im listening to the last heretic
first
the first heretic
and i know he kills argal tall
Argal tal
then you’ll hear WHY people hate him
I KNOW EVEN WORD BEARER FANS LIKE I HATE HIM
fuck i wanna tell you but i’ll let you listen to it lol, ping me when you reach that point
wait a minute
nvm that doesn’t cover erebus AAAAAAHHHH
IT DOESNT COVER EREBUS PROPERLY REEEEEE
mmmmm god the word bearers lsot
what part you on rn lol
chapter 4 im just looking at word bearesr shit

What is the difference between a Scion and a Kasrkin?
technically nothing. the kasrkins are part of the scions. but the normal guard troops view the kasrkin differently due to their legacy
the thing about the scions is they are basically SOCOM for the IG iirc
Kasrkins are just equivalent Scions who were born and trained on Cadia.
I see, thanks
Due to that circumstance, they're viewed differently from the average Scion.
NGL though, their description from Eisenhorn lives rent free in my head.
Both are elite troops though in the end.
yeah and like i said the scions are like SOCOM. every elite troop in the guard is part of them afaik
from the karskins to the grenadiers
Yeah what Nameless said
the confusion for them namely comes from GW renaming them after the mid 2000's copyright cases, its why they arent really called stormtroopers anymore lol
I still miss the old gasmask stormtroopers. Those were some of my first minis I got and painted...
Good times
Old mask and red fatigues storm troopers my beloved
love those goofy ass gas masks
I wanted to make an insuisitorial army aaaages ago. But man I had like 1 billion ideas and no money.
and no time 😔
And maaan. Those were the ones used as an example in the RPG books too I think? Man... I miss those guys
how the hell am I supposed to make time to paint a full GSC army, 3 Chaos Knights AND start a 30k Sons of Horus army
plus the other half of unpainted ideas
half a tyranid army is also waiting for paint
thousand points of ultramarines un painted
Honestly, if you got the scratch, have someone do the troops as a comission and work on the big boys as like.... your own projects?
I want to paint them myself, my hobby is like 80% painting and 20% playing
Ahhh mood
Yeah.
Honestly? Assembly line painting?
Assembly day. Then Priming Day, then Purple day, blue day. Color blocking, edge highlights,
It... is a little mind numbing. But. It gets it done
That's how I got 2k of ultras painted in 3 months
the pace slowed quite a bit after
I got.... tired after doing it for just 20 Vanari Wardens and Sentinels for AoS
I'll retry assembly work once I get the Horus Heresy starter set now that I've got an airbrush
the base tones will be done real quick
Luck dude!
Cheers
Rather like scions as there the socom of the Imperium the Grendiers and Karksin arn't trained to the same standard
Kasrkin are pretty much on par
Kasrkin are better than tempestus in the sense that they are gene moded or get small augments
Both fit the stormtrooper stereotype , just that Kasrkin are Cadian stormtroopers and Tempestus are, well Tempestus stormtroopers
What’s the coolest death in warhammer 40k lore? mine would have to be the two primarchs and the ork reactor
I think only one died but still
you mean vulkan and the beast?
afaik all the elites are technically part of the scions
just like how all of the US military's spec ops are technically under socom or well most of them are
Nah they arent
regiments got their own elites
k
the Scions got the Militarum Tempestus thingy
the what?
like wtf regiment are these fool scions even from?
cause seems all my info about them is wrong lol
they are from theh schola progerium think of the IB on steriods
That's a cool looking gun
so they dont have a regiment but are attacted to them like the commissars?
Scions are basically spec ops that get assigned to whatever their mission is
think of them as a branch of the office commssarit or a sperate dempartment
ok
Basically the "army" you play if you want to be Navy SEALs lol
cause i was just about to ask why they even exist if every regiment already has its own elites lol
Yeah its a bit complicated
they had to get re-branded
back then every regiment had a "elite stormtrooper" part
now Scions are their own thing
thats a fitting analogy given how SEALs are viewed by other spec ops teams lol
It gets funnier because most I.G troops are jealous of them
mostly due to all the "special" training and equipment they get
which is fair lol
jealous? the lore i read said they where all but disrepected due to that. "toy soldiers" was the nick name it said the cadian's gave them
Yeah pretty much that
in reality the irony is scions arent pompous or anything of the sort
they are drilled to hell and just do what they are told
so they basically couldn't care less
again just like what i have heard about the SEALs lol
scions are used for missions that are deemed to diffcult or too important for normal reigments
they are the best soldiers in the schola-progrium which creates sob and crusaders; Assains and inqustiors
assassins are Assasinorum but otherwise ye
i would say the only notional regiment that is better then scions is the Last chancers.
Nah
they are just better because they are book characters
Scions arent infallible either
so it depends as with most 40k stuff
also the authour but they seems pretty good with there selections porcess
Orphans is free real estate 🙏
smh
the who?
Nah, last chancer are just special units, but to consider them on par of scions is wrong
Otherwise we could consider the Tanith first and only another scions equivalent
that explains the action movie merc company name lol
They are very close to what we are gonna play in DT
Convicts hand picked and sent to high danger missions
i was wondering if there was a lore precedent for that and it seems there is
Penal legions regiments are a thing yes, as it is hand picked groups for special missions
I also used them as starting point for what we could get back in the days of theorycrafting
💀
They have their charme tbh, but it is not everyone cup of tea
Like, i like a lot the lambdan lions
Or the psian jackals...
Oh, wait, the psian jakals are the anti eldar one, i like them too, but i meant the anty psyker ones
Rhoin cobras, that is the regiment
not that the whole "send a small some what elite team of penal troops to go take care of something" thing. cause most penal troops afaik are used as cannon fodder and little else
43rd Itoan Dragons
googles
Yes and no, it all depend on which part of the galaxy you are and who is the one in charge
A small team going into a chaos infested hiveworld is a suicide mission so it makes sense
i mean you could just grab a whole bunch of specailist and place them inside a gulag for missiosn
Russia Moment
yes
that is what the inqustions and Adeptus Ministroum is; it is basically a cross betweent he nkvd and the Gru
Ministorum is just logistics
Ministrorum is the church
yeah ofc said team is actually expected to make it back to report what they found in this case lol
LMAO
my bad
Well no I think they're expendable
Administratum and Ministorum is such a mouthful holy fuck
its literally just ad AD to the front so its easy to mix them up lol
Munitorum is the logistic
Administer deez nuts
Although not only that
Also yeee
The munitorum has its internal branch that take care of logistic
everyone is in the imperium 😛
The munitorum is not an adeptus
Also bear in mind we arent being sent on like orecision missions
adeptus peepeestorum
You might be joking, but it could exist and take care of plumbings
we are part of a larger war effort, they are just throwing convicts at the hive
they make sure all the pee comes out of your balls
yeah we are basically a lazy last resort
I still wish it was a fleshed out Mary Sue Inquisitor Retinue
😩
ADministorum and minastorum. so you also change the a to an i lol
Delaying tactics until something more capable arrive, but even in a coal mine you can find diamonds
Nah the Ad has the "stratum"
VERY IMPORTANT
an inquisitor is just throwing convicts in to stem the tide of darkness
The DARKTIDE
HEHEHEHE
OOOOOO
get your script right
ofc administration comes from the word ministry so it makes sense the 2 are so close
i love how corny that sounds
same
but im sure we'll handle this chaos cult just fine
they wont be in Rush Hour 3
I wanna ride that fart train
LMAO
Ye i would prefer characters but egh
just want shoot now
same
have give up
I like how it is hinted that the train was used by the renegades guard to go and pledge loyalty to the cultists
Inquisitor retinues can be so colorful
tbf so can convict groups like this
We can still see it, just not playing it
FS just chose the middleground of nothing
I mean the inquisitorial retinue
waiting on the reddit 40k theory that darktide somehow connects to a missing primarch
thats reddit for you
dont you know?
GOD, STOP
darktide is clearly tied to the 2nd primarch
we already have people expecting mortarion as a final boss
and then valrak and wolf lord rho can make 30 minute videos reading the thread
Holy shit

these people
god please no
It's like they want the universe to feel small
no more valrak
im gonna kill Mortarion with my lasgun

yeah cuz 4 fuckwad criminals can kill a demigod lol
wtf
I expect the final boss to be like
A plague marine sorcerer
if that
yeah
i wouldn't midn the fianl boss being typhus
not for any lore reason
hopefully it would just be like
i dont want marines of any kind anywhere near this
Boi those are rare... Extremely rare
Final boss Ku'Gath
tbh lke
A not-glottkin daemonic behemoth
dont even know how could a single plague marine get in
Warp Portals
Fair
nurgle uses them?
loyal traitor idc they both get sucked off way way way to much
so theres these things called space ships
All chaos gods do
No way!
That's how a lot of chaos marines got off vraks after their fleets left
Sacrifice a bunch of mooks to create warp portals
Spaceship deez nuts in your atoma prime
he took the express fart train
save khorne ofc
just get a knife that will rip a portal to where ever you want duh
oh yea
Blood magic detailed in the 7th ed khorne daemonkin book
Khornates kill enough stuff and then weird shit will happen

and its just gonna be some sorceror supreme fucko
Wot if
sindri
It's a plague marine BUT not death guard
yeah but no direct psykers involved afaik
Khorne is the one that use the portal more probably
It's a very confused ultramarine
because DG are a specific named faction
it's an ultramarine with a cold
if there are plague marines itll be a new sub faction they make for the game
yeah this
Like the cult and the guard regiment
I do like that bit of dark heresy fluff where a marine was critically wounded during a hive city recruitment mission and cultists dragged away his body and drink his blood while keeping him alive
Imperial cultists ofc
They believe the Emperor approves of this
wat
juice
Imperium Moment
It's uhhhh
Some mention of a radical group drinking marine blood in an underhive
Based off one marine near-corpse
sus

sounds like fanon
pretty tame
Yeah not even memeing
what
more sus
seems like a really open minded dude
read anything about the Susperial Cult
the imperium is a fuckin mess
Yeah uh
well theres your problem
get em lads
reading hh 🤢
tbh HH > 40k
wtf
hold em down
so what's the thing with the cultists
Well
they have cults, worshipping chaos
which cultists
They are always awful
theres like 6 kinds
they like being gross and not showering
YEAH ThATS A GOOD ONE ACTUALLY
any cult will probably drink some sussy marine juice
People IRL in Jerusalem
fought and made riots
over a fucking ladder being moved
so imagine that but to the extremes
just give me a damn example
FINE
no wait
brb
oh gods
gonna grab age of apostacy?
what have you done mike
Gonna extend your balls in the torture-rack
i want to know
Too late, you have startled Dilara, she is now getting the excerpt
bring Doge van dire here
give me a link or whatever
Dilara bout to search the dephts of r/40klore
extend deez balls in ur mouth
oh no, shes going to find another primarch thread
A thousand Gathalamorians in ashes and sackcloth pulled the sarcophagus on rollers made of broken columns. The coffin and its effigy had been carved within days, a testimony to the skill of the world’s sculptors. Ten thousand more civilians marched either side and in front, whipping themselves, singing dolorous songs of penance. Behind the cortege was a river of light, thousands upon thousands more people coming behind bearing torches, and wailing loud enough to shake the ruins.
There were other civilians too, those who had cast their lots in with different gods, and there could be no forgiveness for them. They were shackled to iron posts either side of the processional. At the very head of the cortege went Canoness Imelda Veritas and her Sisters. They sang hymns of victory.
Young girls, orphaned by the war and selected to be raised within the Sisterhood, ran ahead, soaking the traitors with promethium from decorated buckets. Ordained Sisters wielding flamers set each alight with a short burst of fire as they passed, so that the wailing of grief, the songs of repentance and triumph were accompanied by thin screams. Those waiting to burn were praying. Though their words were lost in the noise of the funeral, the combination of Vychellan’s enhanced eyesight and his battleplate auto-senses allowed him to read the lips of some. The word they said most often was ‘Emperor’.
‘Faith is a poison,’ Vychellan said. ‘The Emperor was right to suppress it. Faith empowers the enemy, and enchains mankind. It is blind. It reduces us to beasts.’
✝️
facts
the fucking master chief default finishes it
bruh what dis mean
master chief gothic dance
it seemed religious at the time
lmao
John Halo is my religion

idk ask mike, hes the fortnite man here
who cares?
why
the morbius fanbase and the fortnite fanbase has so much overlap tho
surely thats waht you were aiming for
see, mike is their target audience perfectly
yeah being a cursed as hell cancer blight on the rest of us

you know its true
"For more than a hundred centuries the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the Master of Mankind by the will of the gods and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium, for whom a thousand souls die every day, for whom blood is drunk and flesh eaten. Human blood and human flesh – the stuff of which the Imperium is made. To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruellest and most bloody regime imaginable. This is the tale of those times."
that's the intro for most 40k novels
Would love to see an animation of guardsmen meeting Salamanders. Shortly after saying “his angels” gets swooped up and cradled by Vulcan and gets to play with his finger.
