🙏
also the big tau battleship here is SO fun to use in bfg
tl;dr ur better at dakka than the orks, the orks just have numbers and ramming
apply plasma to problem until it is solved
weapon loadouts are not locked to specific designs in 40k, its pretty neat tbh
i wish the tabletop battlefleet gothic was still going ngl
these look cool af
it is ratty
ik there's the aeronautics game
im thinking of aeronautica ye
but yeah that's like, lil ships
That and as we know planes are boring
I am also tempted to get that tho just cus i adore tau ship designs in general
yh but aeronautica
smh
i really odnt like IG planes
Yeah me neither
theyre dumpsters with wings
LOL
imperial planes in general are just blocks
brick with wings
vrooom i am defying every law of thermodynamics
one sec
but they look dull
yh i guess
! actually those designs aren't so bad
it looks like someone tried to build a messerchmit in minecraft
they're at least like
just fucking toys
noticeably not less thermodynamic than ork planes
thats the actual IG fighter design, everyone thinks of the space marines tho for some reason
like it is with regular 40k imp flyers
like
i can see this flying more than i can see those SM designs flying
IG is thunderbolts, valks and marauders
they have wings
i like valks purely cus they have halo vibes
the valk is based off the Hind
the vietnam inspiration helps a lot
those i dont mind actually just bc i love the uh
they're TOO THICK
the main building from dow 1
the ominous hovering dumpsters
I don't mind the Thunderhawk in its intended role
how would you even fix wh40k planes to make them look cool across the board
Your doom approaches
just redesign the big offenders
When you take it out of "Bulk transport for super humans" and shit it becomes less effective as a design.
make SM planes actually look like planes
i hate space marine ships other than the thunderhawk
u can have the grungy brutalist imp aesthetic without making it thicc af
sicne thunderhawk is designed for space
40k designers sometimes cannot do brutalist designs right
and not air to air engagements
in particular as it relates to SM designs lol
That's what I always got, for the Thunderhawk
Its a void craft first.
At least in space, its design isn't necessarily bad.
na its specifically a boarding transport for ship to ship engagements
! oh yeah my fav is uh one sec
it can just double up as a landing craft
buuuut SM lore is bad so ofc they dogfight with it and shoot down eldar somehow
lmao
Eldar and Necron are the superior aircraft in general iirc
since its just
ZOOM
Instakill
Flying croissant
i do also have a sweet spot for these bois even if they do look quite weird
nods
also just like
the like seven seperate tau designs that look like stealth bombers
thinn
those are fine
the manta ship is still cool
never gonna buy it but
yee i love how the tau ships do look vaguely aerodynamic
like, i can picture how the air is meant to move around them
looks like the camo was a bitch to paint though
god yeah all the tau camo the pro painters use is beyond me
even if i do like the vibes, esp with like. digital camo
I do enjoy that the T'au employ drones as turrets on their larger hover vehicles and flyers.
And, ye, Digital Camo looks legit on T'au, though, yeah, how you manage to paint that on a model I don't know.
It seems a lot easier on a full scale vehicle.
Apparently it's a lot of layering or you can use a template. I've seen it on gunpla
I mean I'm pretty sure a lot do freehand but a template saves time and energy lol
lmao it has the Occurrence Border
These boys i love, and the swept back ion lads on the other plane you posted are also 👌👌
Like u rarely see it in art but the air battles with tau would be Filled with drones
Like 10 drones to each tau plane
Not including the ones the plane already has
congestion in tau space must be awful
Well no its a huge drone network! I imagine it be way better than the mess around terra
Terra is all around not a fun place it live in eh
Yee tau warfare in general is just dronetide
sentient drone uprising when
tbh I hope they find a more fun way to approach that
like, maybe go into drone rights into the empire more significantly and the implications of the creation of artificial sentient life
get into star trek-y sci fi concepts, tau are the token sci fi race idk why it's not explored more
yeah Terra's probably one of the worst places to be poor in
The description of Terra in the Vaults of Terra is cool as heck
but I do not envy the folks living there
Honest question is there any other necron light/energy colors than green? because i keep seeing art works and models that have blue, orange or even red
I assume the general meme is green but u can choose anything. Its just ~scifi strobelights~
I think it can be any colour?
there a bunch of canon blue boys
and the FW dynasty necrons are primarily orange energy stuffs
RGB Necrons when
Gamer necrons
I don’t know why but I really dont like nurgle, he seems right up my valley but I just can’t like him.
Hes pretty toxic so its understandable
cries in hundreds of dollars worth of nurgle models
I can never get behind the nurgle aesthetics ngl
Old Nurgle Aesthetics
New stuff
get your clean white plates out of 'ere!
I think i just dont like the more fantasy nature of them, like cyclopes and crap
Didn't the pox get a new look with the DG release in 9th ?
no
I swear I saw new minis
Not yet that we know of
Maybe ? The one with the labcoat
we do know that the entire black templar leak was true tho
since every unit turned out to be legit
and those two lists were released together so we can only hope
I hope we get Ground troops but all of Chaos is rolled into 1 codex with supplements.
GW out here treating CSM/Chaos like they're Space Marine chapters or something
the only daemon range I like is slaanesh cus of how like, Christian satan ish it is? The new keeper of secrets esp
Has the flat featured and everything
No it was a chaos leak in general
*goat features
yea thats it
Yee
Old Nurgle Chaos Lord
Hes on a road trip!
New Nurgle Chaos Lord
actually i saw at the warhammer store i go to they were advertising a new eldar codex
it was just a sticker slapped on a wraith knight
Ngl the older one is more aesthetic
but you see mayo
ik we kind of left the nurgle discussion
they need to make weird happy nurgle
so people can try and say hes a good chaos god
LOL
But the reason why to me Old-gle will always be superior is because it play's up the grimness of rot and decay, rather than "haha funny fat guy"
I miss old Plague Marines
"I swear guys having fucking mutant tumors and maggots spill from your rotting skull is only happening because Nurgle loves youuuu" ❤️
Im 99% sure that was a named character
It was

But it was also the only Nurgle Lord sculpt I could find a picture of easily
hey don't forget Isha stays with Nurgle outta love

I hate it
dskjdskj

lmao
owned™️
Its as old as the argument of "chaos gods have positive aspects"
like.... stfu
Honestly any fanbase trying to explain why their factions is "totally good guys I swear" is cringe
Embrace the villainy of the setting

I fully embrace the cherubins
Tbh I'd understand that argument if the cause of the factions are just
Gotta find a use for useless babies
Zher gets it

Ah my point finally gets supported i see :)
The couple that cooks up plagues together, stays together
Salamanders fans explaining why using radium is not ok but incinerating protesting populations is morally correct:
Well, hard to cook new things when your pot is smashed I guess
Exquisite taste
Look how happy the dude is to recieve nurgles sweet green juice
Festus is an absolute based king
its because salamander fans are hidden dwarf fans and use any excuse to disguise racism as elf hate
His WHFB was really funny
But what about the dwarf fans that ship with the elves ?
Sumthn sumthn that's going in book
"I wish I could understand all diseases, so I could cure them!"
Gets infected with every disease all at once
Festus moment
The ultimate uno reverse
I love festus so much
The chaos gods in Fantasy are such trolls
tfw am dwarf fan
ohno
smh
truely a rare individual
They just don't particularly appeal to me
on a more visual level
Unlike Minecraft block men
wide as they are tall as they are thick

i also heard that world eaters are supposed to get a new codex
but i honestly
dont believe that for 1 second
So many rumours
Perhaps next year
the leak which has been right so far said Chaos was getting alot next year
same for CWE
But for now It's just GSC/Custodes December, then Tau in January
arent tau getting some killteams stuff soon?
yea
Yeah I figured
like the IG upgrade
Enjoy paying more for basic troups I guess
Tyranids have been getting new little rules added in Octarius yee
like the new synapse rules
I’ve heard a lot about a chaos guardsman type legion or croup called the Bloodpact
I have no idea what they are
Guardsmen that follow Khorne essentially while still keeping the normal structure of Imperial guard and samey doctrines
Why are they the most talked about out of the other chaos guardsman
Are they huge or do they just stand out
Because they are one of the most fleshed out ones and even used to be playable in the earlier editions
they're the most standout group of R&N after the fellas on Vraks and the Severian Dominate
I think that's why I like ADB's books. When he writes bad guys they know they are bad guys
I heard once that they are more effective and operate more widely than the world eaters
That's not a hard thing to be
almost read that as Sigmatus for a second
Yea ikr

Whats r&n in this case
Renegades and Heretics
severain aren't R&N tbf they are just renegade
Renegades and Heretics, not Renegades who are also Heretics :^)
Genestealer cults are cringe because they no longer have the Hover limo
SAD
destroyed with facts and logic
I saw one 3d printed online I should buy the limo
Me after telling my 40k opponent there is no way that facts and logic could allow Space "Marines" (they are in space not water)to exist
He looked like grimace
the patriarch gazes disapprovingly at you
His claws are made of rubber
Tf is he gonna do, roll over to me? Meanwhile the Chad new Patriarch has been making gainz on his workout pipe
Thanos' creepy uncle
GW fears the old genestealer patriarch User
you hold immense power if you use that model
Sigmarxism is eating itself, as per the monthly schedule
Im waiting on the liberal purge
Reading comprehension on sigmarx dropped 500% when big youtubers covered it
Its not that bad, Im just being melodramatic
Its mostly just hobby posting now, which is nice and good but I just feel theres already a jillion hobby subs
There really are
Or the average softbrain coming to ask everyone, "Can I make my space marines based on Africans? Theyre named the ungs bungas and are always evil and eat babies. Is this problematic?"
Like. Why
Yea a lot of the good fink pieces are from a while ago, and most memes are “arguing” over which faction is most woke
I want to die
Same poster as that dude who wanted pygmies here
Sigmarxism when reading theory
Sigmarxism when Ogre
Ive seen ppl get downvoted for posting/referencing actual Lenin, which shows me reading comp has downgraded to socdem levels
The self defeating pain of popularity
Suffering from success
On a side note
So since most csm legions keep getting fucking destroyed is there any one of them that actually does significant and effective shit
leftists principle hobby is cannibalising their own movement™️
Yeah but sigmarx doesnt even have leftists anymore. Legit mostly socdems I'd bet now
I've unironically had someone for my Heresy AU ask him they could make a "tribal savages" Legion and when I asked them to specify they just effectively listed every single non-white group of people
Anarchists and else are fine
OOOOOFF
Well, it does, just uses to there was a majority it seemed
Its the “leftist” wargaming subreddit
Usually p good, lately been kinda meh
saddening
I liked it when it was niche
And u had crackheaded finkpieces describing the tau and On Authority
That was so fun
Any fun, creative way of interacting with both my hobby and theory is neat. Better than the drog of reading it(esp the older stuff), but my pain is neccesary
The quality of a subreddit very closely reflects it's size
P much
ye sigmarx is... weird now
They were confused as to why calling all Africans "backwards tribals" could be racist
Big brained
A singular yike from me
I gotta write up my tau lore
Make sure it isnt terrible lmao
Legend
Why why I like IG, writing lore is easy
Oh yea @errant mauve i need pointing to any big ol refs of the obliterator virus, trying to write a tau horror story 🙂
Lexi gives a real good overview of it
Oblooterated
Yea been thinkin right, tau dont get corrupted easily
Just by nature of their souls and thought process
Overall Oblits tend to be less intelligent(?) than a SM or sometimes an 'umie
in that they singularly focus on well
obliteration
Yea so imagine, some poor mutated tau stuck inside his suit, suffering the worst case of battlesuit neurosis ever
The suit and the ai is all obliterated, but whats left of the tau inside just has to watch
Just admit it orks are the good guys.
Please try the newest flavor of Mountain Dew. I swear it’s good.
Reading that in a nurgle voice makes it even better
wouldnt say good
just you know what your getting upfront when dealing with orkz
which is usually dakka or an axe to the face
Or enslavement and mistreatment till you die of starvation, or an Ork decides to eat you.
So, you know.
Carrotboi?
Orks are actually the MC race
He has ascended to carrot
Oh boi
As far as I know, they don't sterilise the planet, they don't mess with Chaos and they are the oldest race (I don't cont the eldars since they're on the road to extinction). All of the other races did or have the potential to destroy or sterilise worlds. They seem to just live their life, the way they were made, without needing to do irreversible damage to the universe. To me, they kind are the good gu
wat
Please be satire please be satire
Nope.
The orks pass and kill civilisations, not the worlds themselves.
The Eldars killed much more people with the birth of Slaanesh
And created the Eye of Terror
They show such reverence to big round chunks of rock, how altruistic
Also that lul
?
!
!>
You mean blown up or just killed the civilisation that lived there
blown up
also "they are good guys they only commit genocide" is the greatest take i have heard this week
I didn't knew that, I though they just landed on it with space hulks and rocks, killed, pillaged and prepared to do the same thing elsewhere
Shiz, i don't have all my fav gifs
All the major races in 40 k commit genocide
I suppose slavery isnt evil
Orkz are the gud guys cuz they only kill and keep people as cattle, they don't destroy worlds after total loss of life has been accomplished
Ultra galaxy brain
yes, and all of them are evil as well

For folks who don't think Orks are sadistic, throwback to the time Ghazgkhull got Grotsnik to turn humans into conscious servitors for the luls :^)
So there's no good guys ?
none
Taus and Asuryanni are the least evil if you wanted a greyer view
Only some subfactions however
thered a reason orks are described as expressing sadistic glee
Humans are good guys... Well, the dead ones at least... Cry for the interex, the diasporex and all the ex
The Asuryanni don't hesitate to sacrifice races to further their interests
They were better than the imperium, and definitely better than the olamic quietude at least
40k fans don't morally identify with war criminals for 3 seconds challenge (impossible)
better than the imperium isnt a hogh bar haha
Definitly but apart from that one craftworlds that hates humand, they tend to just chill by themselves until a prophecy or chaos pops up
They dont go around conquering, at best only defending exodite and Crone worlds
If they could, they would
It's not a competition bro, everyone's evil
Exactly like all other races would do tbh
Hell remember that time where exodites allowed humans to live alongside them (alto eldars were treated as god) and that was only stopped because of the wholesome primarch ?
Is the Chaos and the Warp evil incarnate ?
They are yeah
Remember when ulthwan saved mordia
and biel tan saved tallarn

would be nice seeing that explored
Biel Tan being the Xenophobic ones at that lmao
they are xenophobic, but the destruction of chaos comes before all else
which honestly, i think is neat
Bruh the orks literally enslave ppl and keep them as livestock sometimes, that only adds up to the numbers of warcrimes they commit "for fun"
The Immaterium is the mirror dimension to our own Materium, and reflects the emotions and souls of all sentient beings
The chaos gods control domains within the warp, and tend to embody traditionally deontologically evil values and emotions.
In Fantasy/AoS there's a bit more nuance but in 40k they're entirely monomaniacal to said evil qualities
Le funny meme green boiz
Im so tired of "uwu eldar would kill billions to save their kind"
Yeah they do that like twice in lore, please staph

As if any faction wouldn't
The only difference is some reliably can, and do, while others can't, but would
uwu eldar would kill billions to save their kind
Not inherently. It’s just how you obtain and treat them that can be.
Indentured servants were a thing

T...The fuck

"Slavery is not inherently evil, if you treat them nicely and obtain them legally"
So do you actually think this or are you just an idiot that likes to argue?
Oh we are measuring good and evil again ok
Starts here
tho its a really short conversation, funny as hell tho
give it a read 👍
Everyones evil, orks are just cartoon evil
As the biggest tau stan here, they baf
Bad*
average 40k morality discussion
Ngl the "they're no good guys?" realisation breaks my heart
They are all black shades
Ya hate to see it
I mean there are good factions in 40k I'm sure
they'd just be dead
TRUE LLOL
the Imperium "corrected" them
Deontologists and the Ethical Moralists when someone brings up an unrealistic fringe case that perfectly happens to be antithetical to their values
to quote that one Hammer and Bolter episode's Imperial PA system
THERE SHALL BE NO THINKING
Logic is heresy
^

like, if that isnt evil i dont know what is
literally "dont think and be a cog in the machine"
ITS NOT THAT SUBTLE GUYS
Kant was a nerd and should've stayed in his locker
Kant
more like
Stupid
Sorry I'm still not over this part
Just what
because that's what he is
Dude literally said "slavery =/= bad" but ok
Except in comp ratings
This is just me malding
Yea that made me spit my water lmso
"Slavery is fine" never change warhammer community
yeah to clarify, all violations of humans rights is bad.
wtf is with you and bees
My slaves have golden chains what are yall on about
They just look really cute as an emote im sorry, look at the tiny wings
my fav is still "its fine because orks only genocide living things but they leave the planets alone"
So fucking dumb lol
Id say infesting the planet with spores and then ripping it to shreds or turning it mobile us destroying it lmao
"We kill da peeple but leav da rokks"
ACTUALLY YEAH
THEY ARENT EVEN ECHO FRIENDLY
I FORGOT LMAO
The sheer amount of pollution orks release
yeah i read "destroy" as in devastate by war
Entire atmosphere blackened etc
i forgot they actually infest a planet forever
very rarely are orks every entirely cleansed
Do they process carbon cause fungi?
The only good guys in 40k are the plunger servitors used to clean Planetary Governor Amadeus CLXII's toilets

doing their duty
Do you guys think bad takes in the lore channel come in groups of 3? I feel like we're due for one last good one by the end of the day

jokes aside thats kinda the routine yeah
a brave soul indeed
it usually goes for a long quiet session before another person like this pops up
do i do the bad take to save it being something more cursed?
I would argue that there are prolly good guys in 40k but those werent discovered by any major faction yet
there are good people in 40k, there is no good faction
Or well that there were good guys but they got fucked over by random major faction
The Space Toads did it
which honestly imo is so much more interesting, cause hearing about the individuals is great
I agree with Bobo's take
If there's good guys in 40k they're either too insignificant to matter or already gotted one of the bigger factions.
Srry for the TG screenshot, but that just shows a planet with more guard than atoms in the universe, and theres still orks
Yeee the big narrative is good elements within some factions exist but the status of the galaxy doesnt allow for any good acts to go smoothly
always love seein it
Yea figuredp
Truly another day to be blessed by silly GW numbers
they'd release a ton of methane anyway

True shit yea
iirc its a bug from a game they have since patched out
Orks and halo grunts coexist

Those fuckers
Shit srry didnt mean to reply twice
leans towards microphone
"Ahem"
"Servitors are based"
Listen forcefully enslaving someone is wrong. Legal does not necessarily mean right. But slaves such as prison labor or indentured servants isn’t wrong so long as you don’t mistreat them.
Oh the game doesnt exist anymore
Gw killed it
prison labour is pretty fucking bad tbh
based on what
Yes they are wrong whats wrong with you lmfao
must be from cali
Yeah lol what, prison labor is just slavery
Also you cant force somebody to work for you without applying force
Fuck you dont group me with this fuck
Scenic grass and pebbles
i'm so sorry lmao
Yea this
Okay, still not sure if you're an argumentative idiot or something worse
If someone wants to sign themselves to a set number of years as a servant why shouldn’t they be able to? It was an effective means of getting sponsored to go to another country then after you’re done you are free.
Feudalism Moment™️
every time that glove is posted i always hear just
Okay, leaning on the "worse" side of the scale now
same
lmao
That aint slavery tho
Ok but back on the original topic
It's not like the Orks practice indentured servitude either
Well isn’t prison labor slavery?

"Slavery and enslavement are both the state and the condition of being a slave, who is someone forbidden to quit their service for another person (an enslaver) who treats that slave as their property."
Yes, and it's bad too you dumdum
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk
All of this. Its the freedom to terminate employment
In indentured servitude you sign yourself away for a set number of years. You can’t quit before that’s up.
Prison labor is enabled in the United States by the 13th amendment of the U.S. Constitution which prohibits slavery “except as a punishment for crime.”
See so it’s not inherently evil then
facepalm
I mean, it's still inherently evil
"If someone wants to sign themselves to a set number of years as a servant why shouldn’t they be able to?" doesnt sound like prison labor slavery tho
Patrick's driving license argument moment
Stop im gonna bust a rib
hmm
Based
you make a compelling argument
this entire chat is just this emote:
I cannot deny this

green good
red bad
I'm colourblind though so don't trust me
Ppppfft
Time to paint myself green 😎
THIS I would accept, but like bro they literally kill you because its funny
Clearly this makes orks the good guys
at best in 40k you get tragic villains
because for some reason people think that orks aren't aware they are doing evil, or the fact they are designed to do it means they hold zero accountability for their actions. Its a real weird set of arguments that do not hold up at all
but clearly
[your least favourite faction] are the good guys and [your favourite faction] are the ultimate evil meant to be vanquished
like Orks are evil af but on the other hand they're literally engineered to be as such so it's like, kinda unfortunate but also they're totally responsible for what they do
Ork fans have a few screws loose just like Ork tech
like just because you didn't cause a problem doesn't mean a problem ain't your responsibility
And yeah like, orks are just living fuck-things-uppers
however yes, Orks are hilarious and I love their aesthetic
Like Skeletor 💀
They're basically a sentient dirty bomb lol
also orks are fully aware of what they do, have the capacity to change, but find it too much fun so they dont
Idk do they tho
yes
Example: https://youtu.be/guZjbzE4Vvc?t=19
This, and the fact that its pulling the trigger makes it bad
There was mr the beast.
NO you put your transformers references away

They're meant to be genetically hardwired to be cunts, there is variation on the level of bastardry but idk
Cant believe Jazz died to hearing a dad joke
there have been ork diplomats before ratty
Blood axes or whatever they're called feel like they're the best orks are gon get
I need to get around to making a the beast teef giveaway mr beast clickbait thumbnail.
like fully reasonable ones
Well yeah but I can't see them being a good person still
That chap wasnt nice tho, he was like “yall gonna die, srry”
But more prickish
Even if they're more savvy with speech and not being a murderhobo
Orks are just big bullies, and bullies can be smooth talkers and smart
Doesnt mean they aint bullies
they are good as far as orks are concerned
doesn't mean they are gonna be nice to other races (even if they could the races wouldnt accept it)
GIVIN' AWAY A BIG BUNCH O' 'UMIE TEEF TO DA LAST BOY TO NOT YELL WAAAAAGH [DAY 2]
Thats just measuring shades of black, pointless
in which case this entire argument is pointless cause im not saying they are good, im saying they are capable of change
doesnt mean we are suddenly gonna have comic book hero orks
just means orks will be more reasonable
well not with that attitude smh
Maybe towards being slightly less murdery, but still we have seen ork generals understand a battlefield honor, but they still have fun killing
All they are is war and war is bad
i'm just saying "they dont know what they are doing/its nature so you cant blame them" is a terrible excuse
you do realise I was ironic right ?
Orks are Hobbes fans confirmed
they are shitty people
Yo, what did i missed?
Im not excusing them im saying its a good reason lmao
Still talking about sentient fungus?
Orks are literally sundowner
sundowner makes the choice to be that way tho
Kids are cruel, and im very in touch with my inner child
👀
"The life of an average ork is solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short"
- Ordo Xenos Inquistor Thomas Hobbes
Ok, that is a typo, but it is good enough
Someone here thinks slavery isn't inherently bad
Oh man I was just thinking that.
based
Lol
Id like for you not to talk to me thx
Now that I think about, Sundowner basically uses two Choppas
lmao
Sundownork
Ur right
Anyone know if discord save somewhere in the pc the list of fav gifs?
I lost mine, and now cannot use the right one for reactions
dont think so
Open a private group and make a channel to dump your favorite gifs there
it does not
fraid not
discord fucks up my stash a lot too and thats how i do it
think its all cached
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF me
Discord randomly deleted all your gifs eh
never trust discord to save your gifs in the tab
I feel ya 🫂
Ffffff
Well, not randomly i think... I changed pc, so this is a new installment
Im still thinkin bout traitor guard, and how in some cases someone recruited wouldnt be able to tell the diff between TG and IG

I have my gifs split between my laptop and phone and it's annoying
I was thinking they were linked to the account, since you know, discord stuff, but eh... Time to go digging
you good Zher
no
Discord saved all chats in the account so... Yeah, weird discord is weird
Oh, and now i have the antivirus that want to restart my pc... FFS i might need to light the incense too
🇫
I wish it saved cross platform
I lose my gifs so often
One time my desktop discord just.. logged out and deleted all my gifs
Yeah this
again just use a gif-channel in your private server, pretty much the best way to not lose em
I don't have a private server
make one
Just make one
ye
Making a dump-server in discord is really useful for most stuff you can get up to so i absolutely recommend it
Doesn't it require to be paid?
no
:(
:)
Time to see if this work
yee
u can keep channels specifically for like, v specific things
i have a big one full of uni courses with like
+WORK UP TO DATE 12/10/2021
-ASSIGNMENT DUE 30/12/2021
so i can keep track of them
I'm running a Wrath and Glory campaign centered around orks. Anyone have Orkish shenanigans I can throw at players?
So real questions, what is the party composition
Because I imagine the point is to make an interesting fight but not an unwinnable one
theres only 1 ork class per tier atm so probably all boys/kommanoz/knobz
basically nothin but fightin
could be cool running a legit stealthy ork encounter
the party expects loud krumpin
but instead
silent choppin
Butterflork Choppa
Wish I knew where my Balisong was. Used to be able to do the Ren-roll-over like that all the time.
It appeal to me tbh
But, why?
Big concealable blade
Has trazyn actually like just straight bought a item in his collection?
I guess if someone wants to fold one up and store it on their backpack. It’s an overpriced meme as is most Gerber products.
A Tramoninta 24” machete will do yard work with much greater ease at $20 than what that toy can do at $150
Only downside is if you’re chopping wood with it, it’ll rattle your hand mighty good
Yeah
He sometimes disguises himself and buys things
He traded with Fabius Bial for the Fulgrim cloan
That was a trade of gene seed for a perfect clone of fulgrim before chaos corruption
Buying something is just making a trade with extra steps anyway

Alot of people assume that destruction of the galaxy and the fall of humanity is inevitable, but is it really?

How long is that? I have a six inch folding knife but am looking for bigger.
No idea
Ork snipers!

Funnily enough, the BBEG they're fighting is a blind ork who's convinced everyone he can see by bolting a plate with eyes painted on it, over his eyes
He has perfect accuracy, even with Shoota's
So are kriegers sorta like the clones from star wars?
Where they're all just the same dude
less Same Dude™️ more just mass produced
They're mass birthed from Vitae Wombs.
yee idk if there's any direct info on how it's meant to work but nothing it stated abt them being derived from a single genetic template or whatever
we just know they're artificially pumped out
I like the idea that they just snatch it from surviving soldiers of good valor/actions and physical template
The genes that it

Well
Are we still unawares as to what a Vitae womb actually is?
I'm sure its mostly a supplement to the main method, aka, the good ol fashion method.
Because the Imperium be like that.
Yeah we dont know much yet
since its another classic 40k lore excerpt that is like 3 sentences long
So how did Horus persuade fulgrim to join Slaanesh?
He didn't need to, Fulgrim was already being corrupted by his sword
Yeah Ful's fall is one of the more quicker ones
They seemed one of the most loyal chapters too,
Yeah its basically another case of "Hey we made and designed this legion to literally fall to Chaos, might as well go for it"
especially since their entire schtick is "EVERYTHING WE GOTTA DO MUST BE PERFECT!"
True, and the Slaanesh sword encouraged that more
So he probably first thought the emperor was the key to it
Yeah... The Emperor's Children were kinda destined to fall.
Its a bit tricky since they also made Fulgrim's character a bit wonky
with some cases of the demon sword making him do half the stuff he does
Another factor could be his ego and how the other primarchs hated him
Ah
Im pretty sure the only people he has hostile relations with is Khan and maybe Perturabo? Though he himself says he respects him even if by the time they meet hes gone full slaanesh
Oh— wait where the duck did he get that sword ?? Wasn’t it a gift from the emperor or something
It was from an alien planet called Laer
Ah yeah his home planet is Chemos its different
basically he was a bit away from the Crusade with his legion and they stumbled on Laer
they said they'll do a speedrun and conquer the planet etc
the sword Fulgrim finds is after he visits the planet personally and finds it on a rundown temple
And, I know most of the primarchs didn’t know what chaos was
But they just let hun fuckinf keep it
YEP like i said its lazy writing
Damn, I love the emperors children designs, but damn
I mean at least it makes sense
I hope they get a lore do over
Like uhh
I know alpha got a do over
But
Yeah they're sadly one of the few chaos legions that got shattered and became a footnote in lore
Fabius is like their only prominent character and he doesnt even care about his legion lmao
lol, I’m still probably gonn make an emperors children kill team because of their looks alone
I love their pink and gold crap
Oh yeah dont let that stop you
hopefully they'll get some more mini-attention in the future
I fucking adore fulgrim’s model
It’s probably my favorite demon primarch model
Wait shit
No wait or sent
Yes that's just Sigvald's model + Morathi's lower half
That’s probably stupid expensive isn’t it?
Morathi? I think she's like $140 or so roughly, which is pretty standard for the large centerpiece models
don't want anyone dropping like $190 dollars just for a midget-grim
Morathi is uhhh
$138 USD
Sigvald $55
It's a Photoshop so no money involved
they made it $2 cheaper just to spite you
😩
he screm
"Can we have Daemon prince Fulgrim?"
"We have Daemon prince Fulgrim at home"
Daemon prince Fulgrim at home:
Megablox Fulgrim
Thats the suit fulgrim wears when he wants no one to look at him
Wore it quite often after rylanor told him to fuck off
Could prolly remove most of the rubble and stick sigvalt on a 40mm base
I find it interesting how mechanicus is always pictured with red robes yet in a few of the books I've read such as Spears of the Emperor the various forge worlds have different such as the one in the story having an almost purpleish blue color to their robes
Yee It's cuz the red robes are Mars, which is the one most portrayed in art
Yeah
The Martian priesthood wears red in reference to the fact that this is what they wore into battle during the age of strife and reunification.
After all, they are on the red planet. Wearing red (Okay, so, Mars is more an orange color but lets ignore that.) makes good sense as camouflage, which is the purpose of the robes.
But yeah, other forge worlds wear whatever color they want to. Some still integrate red in some way as homage, but its not a requirement.
Also are gray robes only for dark mechanicus or was i told the wrong information
Not that I'm aware.
Forge World Metalica wears bright white, but given combat conditions and working with leaky machines, it often becomes more grey.
Yeah im just looking at dark mechanicus and the colors are pretty varied
To my understanding, there isn't really a sense of standardization in the Dark Mechanicum. its more a loose association than an actual faction.
honestly in most cases its kinda hard to differ between the dark and normal mechanicus but im pretty sure thats intentional
More or less.
The Dark Mechanicum and the main line Mechanicus behave a lot more like differing sects of their faith than opposing factions.
Although this isn't always true.
https://taleofpainters.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/adeptus_mechanicus_kill_team_01_02-2048x1366.jpg Also, this image of Metalica Skitarii shows my point
Around the bottoms of their robes, they've gotten dirty, so it becomes less white and more grey.
Yeah the whole mechanicus and dark mechanicus split seems to be more of religious differences divide since thats what the mechanicus is closest to
Side note: When or if I ever build a Mechanicus army, it'll use teal for the main color element, with brass metal bits and the wooden elements of weapons will be sorta like blackwood.

I need to get to painting the stuff I have
just have had too much on my plate recently to get to it and I stress about colors too much
Looking at chaos art I really wish there was more presence of the dual nature in 40k as there is in some of the aos art I see
Eh, 40k is huge. Its harder to get a more consistent feel for duality.
Yeah
It's also that specifically with chaos, AoS just.. has so much more variety
also holy hell this is cool
P much every chaos faction feels really unique both in playstyle and aesthetic, since split codices and such
Recently Ive seen some of those videos from a guy converting those new sm figures that were released to thousand sons and khorne and its just amazing what people can do
Is that a ... chain hammer?
Either that or a really big chain axe
I mean its flesh tearers so yeah
Like i dig the paintjob but transforming a blunt impact weapon into a chainsaw seems a little too silly for me, even by 40k standarts
its the rule of cool
it aint gotta explain shit
though anything big enough that isnt flattened by the hammer gets tore up by the teeth
chainsaws are bad weapons in reality, adhere to rule of cool for best effect
if i'm looking at the flat style of chainaxes here (still don't know how these possibly rev but thats probably why they aren't mainstream now lol) I can see the resemblance so it might just be like a great chainaxe or something?
Yeah ever since I saw that forged in fire of the chainsword I'm just like yeah that would not work
