How to fix new Raptors:

Make the helmet an approximation of the old one, but with some finer details and scaling.

revert to the older jump pack model, again, with better detail work.

Return to talon beets.

I believe the in lore explanation was that Raptors were an older breed of Assault Marines, and required technologically augmented legs due to less efficient jump packs, or something?

So in theory even Primaris shit could eventually become semi common or replicated.

I always imagine chaos marine warbands as being this very vast spectrum considering the nature of chaos

Sure, most of them are Somali pirate bands in space who are just 20 guys who barely have enough ammo and supplies to fight, but as mentioned some warbands are probably pretty well equipped due to either sheer influence and power and/or pacts with the dark mechanicum

and have legion numbers

Like, tbh I like to imagine that chaos marines as a whole outright outnumber loyalist marines in total but are so disorganized and so split up across lots of small and large warbands that the Imperium can almost manage them

Seems very fitting from a thematic standpoint

I believe the main issue is that the groups that make up Chaos lack some of the patterns to produce the more advanced weapons

Hence why Chaos lacks Assault cannons on a large scale.

In some stories chaos almost seems sort of callous, so confident that chaos fleets will pull moves that would be considered tactical suicide by the Imperium

Which suggests that chaos has the numbers to where yeah, they really don't give a shit

is that outside of just being disorganised, many chaos forces are even directly competing against eachother
