Divinity discussion from the new book "Godblight" is a must read. It's basically Gulliman calling his chief psyker and an Eldar Farseer (ambassador) for a talk. The below isn't direct spoilers, just some notes in what lines the discussion goes:

They touch upon what is godhood in 40k. How there are different types of gods (cthan are not at all like warp gods etc), how their strength can vary dramatically and so on. Then there is the importance of faith. Mostly how faith can be seen as humanities current greatest strength and weakness all at once. How the current power that comes from faith (hinthint sisters) might not even have too much to do with Big E himself. It's the imperium and its trillions of souls shaping reality with it. How this means the -SUFFERING- of the current imperium is also pushing things to dark place. There is so much misery, pain and that effects what human souls do to the warp.

Then bit more how big e was plenty wrong (Gulliman sure loves to talk about that) and dundunnn ...is he a god or not? The answer obviously remaining vague and lots of fun theories were slapped up. The Farseer had the greatest hindsight and she didn't really dismiss or confirm any, merely noted that there are so many types gods out there and that some are very ancient and terrible, yet so far away. Also that the fact Big E -was- mortal means nothing. That faith and countless eons upon the golden throne have ripped away his mortality, but maybe not. The one thing that the psyker and farseer did agree upon easily was that his light that guides them is of pain.

She also asked what will he do when he is seen as a god? He can reject it all he wants, but has he not noticed that victory seems to often follow him and his presence sparks hope? That does he truly believe that all of this is just him over the trillions just having faith? Very neato

They touch about Big E and his wants a bit too.
First, he can't prevent it and what he truly wants -now- is a mystery. Gulliman confirmed Big E had every religious thing smashed, even a small shamans hut, but now..? Now it's hard to tell. The Emperor is not the same anymore.

Secondly, it was noted that if it would actually doom humanity is hard to say. The Farseer outright said that is especially hard to tell. I also liked that some Eldar do very much think big E is sstill a great hope for the galaxy while many more see him as just an echo, that "painful and fading light" that tries to guide as many as it can before being snuffed out.

Also things still fucked. Humanity can't use webway without their allies and Eldar can't deal with some chaos threats like they used to because the new warp stuff makes everything 100x worse
So there is a mutual alliance as alternative is everyone blowing up.
