Kled was like yosemity sam riding a yoshi, it was great
He has all the titles.
I’m still confused what is happening
People are talking.
And some he doesn't.
With text.
Is this league
No its cod
He give himself his own too
Oh cod
yeah true
I'm still convinced High Major Commodore of the First Legion Third Multiplication Double Admiral Artillery Vanguard Company is not a real title.
it isnt
his real title is much longer
Sion was my boy
riots said before that he never gives his full title
''SO NONE OF YA SNEAKY SNEAKS CAN STEAL IT!''
And rework mordekaiser
Is it because we'd all be dead by the time he finishes saying it?
that too
LoL talk
Hey look, i just added onto the topic, i never sugest getting it
Sion is just cool to me
I'm just surprised it ended up in the lore chat
I love him as a character concept of someone that wants to try get his original life and memories back
But is drawn always back to killing and getting back to a perversed and warped sense of Noxian glory and honor
I just liked charging headfirst into the enemy team and big bulky not dying guys
Same
i mean comming back to life is also why i love necrons so its making sense
Speakin of which ive read that orkz on some level belive in reincarnation as part of the whole Orkz nevah lose just come back to fight laterschtick
So i wonder if its true with their whole clap you hands if you beilve thing
It wouldnt surprise me, they basicaly work on cartoon logic
Doesnt apply to grots though not cuz of course not
Only if the orks belive them
When i heard they travel in a rok, i just imagine they catapulted themselves in a hunk of metal
I mean its sorta true?
Cuz they will use any and all means to launch themselves into space includign gravite catapults\slingshots
Ghazghul was certain he'd return for the biggest WAAAGH ever
that's why he was ok with being killed by Blackmane, he'd seen a vision that that would start the WAAAGH
i kinda wish the next primarch to be released in 40k is the khan
or the khan after the lion
I wish they would stop bringing back loyal primarchs
I want the Khan back
we have only had one primarch
wake up the lion next
interesting to see how he reacts to seeing his legion split and paranoid fuckers and seeing what the imperium has become
the khan appears out of a portal on a new kick ass bike in the imperial palace with a dark eldar gf
no
Khan appears out of a portal stretched over the bow of a raider
His suffering feeds the raid's power

Mad Max: Fury Road is a 2015 Australian-American post-apocalyptic action film[7][8] directed, produced, and co-written by George Miller. The fourth film of Miller's Mad Max franchise and the first film of the franchise in 30 years, Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as "Mad" Max Rocka...

The Horus Heresy is the origin story of Warhammer 40,000, and the Siege of Terra is bringing it to an end. Find out what the Warmaster himself, Dan Abnett, has to say about it in a video interview.
Start reading the Siege of Terra now in 'The Solar War'. http://bit.ly/2VWA66c
what's really great about this video is someone decided the background music should be louder than Dan talking
great sound choices
Oh hey
Its the main theme of the dark elves from total war

using all those assets wisely huh
omg
I don't own this, Creative Assembly does. But no one else seems to have uploaded it and it's nice.
So do we know when warhammer 3 is coming out?
nope
end of this year likely though
depends if 2 is getting a final dlc or not aswell
Its kinda nice that they let you basicly make the most outta all three games but man does it eat into your computer space
total war warhammer 3 wil also maybe get the asian faction names cathay
little know about the cathay country since not much as been say about them
there is some lore they have dragon emperor or dragon hight priest or mage sorcerer dragon
they also have the king monkey
is just a fan made concept but this suppose to be the dragon emperor
there is the book of the cathay
For the current version, visit http://warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.com
poggers
xen huong one of emperor dragon
total war warhammer have speculated they will be the new faction to be playable and give the opportunity to know more about the cathay
Ye it's been confirmed since the first trailer dropped, though we haven't seen them yet
So far just most of the kislev and khorne rosters
All I got out of this is dragons dragons dragons dragons and some more dragons
Pretty poggers overall
🐲
Terracotta stuff would be interesting tbh
most of their artillery
this represent their sorcerer
more monkey stuff from the cathay
wtf
yes they have bird men some rumor or story rumor say they have something with tzeentch
i will over look the tzeetchiness if they have dadaos
none of his is official art tho
Ya theres a theory that the dragon emperor works with or is an aspect of tzeentch

Khorne will have his skulls from them all
The Dragon Emperor is also effectivly responisble for unleashing ogres onto teh rest of the world and basicly creating teh damn maw as a spell to get rid of them when the started attacking cathay ala mongolains minus horses
They basicly showed up on his door so he caste Metoer and the metor turned out to be The Maw
Which cursed them with thier never ending hunger whereas before it just ook alot to satisfy them cuz they were big boys
The vore god
no
Its unkown if he knew this would happenas part of teh spell
but it got the ogres to fuck off for a bit at least
And the maw landing destroyed their homeland forcing them to migrate out into the rest of teh world
for foods
We’ll be getting fantasy Lui Bui
is it just a literal giant fleshy mouth?
Its basicly a supersized sarlacc pit
Yeee read my mind lmao
Yeah
Thats what I always assumed since theres zero artwork of it or any visuals
It’s like some chunk torn from the chaos moon
Ya it landed as metor and when the dust settlesd teh ladn where it landed was cracked and fleshy with teeth sprotuing out all over culminating ina gaint well..MAw in teh center

The meat hole
And because it basicly destroyed their fucking homaldn and soem otehr factors the ogres started soershipping it as a god
I think the influence over their hunger was another factor
I forget who killed the sky giants
Ogres
atem good
and then when the new world happened they basicly did the same thing lol
Sky gaints dont have it easy in any warhammer universe it seems
And then they became dummies
Thats where the ogres actually stole their originol cannons from
Ya they basicly lived isolationist lives and were eating alive int ehir own homes with ogres beign liek swarm of rats because of how large they are
Cuz the gaints were very powerfull individaully and so workign togehter wasnt a thing but they werent outright hostile to each otehr just didnt really give a fuck bout the others
So when they faced a situation where they shoulda banded together it didnt go so well
The Ogres had to basicly get through them to get into the greater world
It was a semi slow prcess cuz eahc gaint could feed the ogres for about a month or two
Which really makes me wonder how they killed them
so basicly theyed take over a house chill there untill tehy ate the whole gaint and went to another fort
Litrally swarmed over them and ate them like rats
They were way more numorurs back them
the overall journey thinned their numbers as they started eating teh weakest of the ogres
Remmeerb an ogre bull can single hadnedly wrestle a modern gaint to teh ground, Now imagine thousands of them climbing over a gaints while eating the thing
Modern giants are smaller though
Ya but im getting ate is their disproportainlty strong even for their size
And way more stupid
Imagine a a swarm of army ants crawling over you
Army ants can strip a human sized target to bones in less then an hour
Basicly the died by the Death of a thousand cuts
as the ogres swarmed over them when they breached a gaints defenses
its in the lore
look up sky gaints on like teh lexi or even the ogres as that even should be covered as part of their hisotry since it lead to the creation fo the Leadbelchers and their gaint ass artillery cannon
Cuz that Gint unique artillery caonnon was one of the last functional Sky gaint cannons
Searching through the rubble, Bhograt unearthed a massive bronze cylinder covered in elaborate friezes that depicted the War in the Sky, like unto a Leadbelcher gun or one of the thinling's cannons, but far larger. This was one of the castle-mounted guns the Skytitans used towards the end of their war against the Ogres all those years ago, and Bhograt believed it was high time such weapons were put back into use. Taming a nearby Rhinox with repeated blows of his club, Bhograt strapped the immense cannon to his new pet and sent it down the mountainside, sat astride the enormous bronze cylinder, content to let gravity do most of the work. Rather more quickly than he anticipated, Bhograt returned to his tribe covered in glory (and bruises) - the bronze cannon intact.[1a]
Ogres are dumb but smarter then people realize
Like orks their really good at salvaging and putting to use anything the cant/dont eat and theyre really good at aping cultures they spend alotta time in, thats why alotta maneaters tend to adopt teh weapon and styles of teh factions they work with alot
but ya look up the war in the sky event for teh deets on the ogres tearing teh sky gaints a new one
Cant necessarily same the same for AOS Ogors though
but most of their history is a repeat of the old worlds ogres
Omg
I need this book
NICE
i love the khan and the white scars
Is that the next book? Yesssss
So... if this goes to lore that's when || the Khan retakes one of the space ports right?||
If only mortarions scythe wasn't this comically oversized
Literally unreadable
Scythes already don't make sense as weapons, might as well lean into it
🤯
A farming tool that usually has 2 handles so that it can be used to chop grass and grass-like crops/vegetation isn't a good weapon??? Who could've guessed?!
Marines are just wheat
lmao
I mean did you see his miniature?
And yes, scythes as weapons are stupid captain obvious
Little rude, my statement wasn't supposed to be groundbreaking lmao
Sorry that indeed came off as pretty rude, wasn't my intention
Yeah i was referencing to it because there his scythe is sized a lot better imo
But thats just personal preference i guess
The warp works in mysterious ways handwavey handwaving
Mmm, Meru

Honestly though with the way his wings are in shadow I'm likr... four scythes?
Ok so a baneblade only got front armor of 180mm? Wtf
If you're just using standard rolled homogeneous steel because, if you're the Imperium and you lack the tech or the resources to make more complex armor protection...
Its not exactly the worst idea.
180mm angled to a certain extent is considerable armor protection... But it is sorely lacking.
Composite armor would be the better choice, but I'm assuming they've gone full ww2 and defaulted back to rolled homogeneous steel.
I mean leman russes fire 120mm aphe shells
Not an expert but im pretty sure thats going to penetrate
I genuinely cannot tell you, because most 120MM cannons fire SABOT, HEAT, and HESH these days.
I mean, I can guess using another vehicle.
Well i would have armored the most valuable tank on the battlefield a little more than just 180mm
Well, you see, there is a problem there... And that is you expecting reason and competence from the guys who designed those tanks...
I remember a video where some people analyze the tanks, and it turn out that are all crap
Using the M103 and it's 120MM cannon firing AP.
Chances are good it could pen, but only if that 180mm isn't one of the extreme slopes on the tank.
Like, we're not told where it's 180mm of armor.
I can try to find such video if you are interested in hearing their thoughts
Is it all 180mm of armor?
Well lets just hope its made out of some sort of scifi material
Is it just the upper front plate?
The lower glacis?
Armor penetration is complciated.
Nvm its 200mm
That's a lot better.
At least on par with the T-55 and similar soviet tanks.
Its not great, but its not terrible.
(Again, presuming that's 200MM of sloped armor.)
Regarding its material i think it is plasteel
The wiki is very limited but: superstructure 200mm, hull 200mm, gun mantlet 180mm, turret 220mm
The fact they say superstructure confuses me.
Same
That's like... A warship thing, with only a few tanks having a superstructure.
The Ferdinand had one.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/07/Elefant_USAOM-01.jpg The entirety of the tank above the hull where the crew compartment and gun were housed is the superstructure, at least that makes sense.
But yeah i imagine its simply made out of some kind of super space metal to justify that
Either way, using what knowledge of tanks I have, its still not terrible.
But this is presuming your foe will have the common decency to fire standard munitions at you.
I doubt any armor protection using just a homogeneous rolled format could stop, say, a las cannon.
Very likely the Baneblade relies on its crew being spaced out to avoid instant death.

Lewd, all of you

Its okay to be lewd. Everyone is Lewd sometimes.
But yeah, makes sense i guess
I swear I remember its multiple turrets are (mostly) servitor piloted.
Which is for the best, because multi-turreted tanks is a bad idea.
Or... At least the Sponsons were.
Yeah they literally just slapped like 20 guns or so on it because why not
In reality, it was a bad idea just because there was no way you could get all those guns firing at separate targets with any amount of accuracy, especially once you factored in the tank maneuvering around.
If you used a machine to do it for you it'd at least take the burden off the crew.
Even a regular leman russ: main cannon, heavy stubber, heavy bolter and another two heavy bolters
Yeah, basically.
Where do they even store all that ammo?
Probably in a turret floor.
Er
In the hull floor with a turret bustle*
A ready rack by the cannons.
I forget if the Imperium knows what the hell an autoloader is.
40k is just whack
The Ad. Mech. know for sure
Oh, definitely.
But i think that is one of the techs that they hoard because they are dumb
Definitely, I think I remember that.
http://tank-photographs.s3-website-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/t-35-replica.jpg Anyway, the closest real vehicle to the Baneblade is probably the Soviet T-35
Again, massive garbage vehicle. It had thin armor because if it was armored seriously it'd end up too heavy to move. Guns were inaccurate because of the layout and it was just a mess.
Nah its the allmighty bob semple tank, terror in its most raw form
At least the Bob Semple was achievable and could do something, lol.
Like, ignoring the memes, it was a better idea than the T-35 and its smaller T-28 cousin.
You just gotta love the bob semple
(Maybe not statistically, but at least the Bob Semple, again, was an achievable goal. The T-28 even with an expert crew would never be as efficient as a single turreted tank.)
I do laud the Imperium for basically copy pasting the BMP for its standard transport.
A solid vehicle, the BMP
lol
Yeah
Also, my own personal fugly baby that I love and cherish is the FCM-36
Like, sure, it was a garbage can on tracks, but its so wittle and adorable.
Yes, that is a ww1 era 37mm howitzer in the turret.

all french pre war tanks look like ducks, change my mind
I mean, there is one that looks like a duck
The...
AMX-40?
30?
I forget
The 40
Literally a duck
Oof
Don't think it was ever produced because the French, to their credit, aren't that stupid
noot noot
(Or desperate.)
they built this
(At least it took a Panzer 3 or a Panzer 2 five forevers to kill an FCM-36, even if the FCM-36 couldn't even hope to hurt their foe at point blank range.)
They did.
Its a bit overrated by some people, but its not horrible as a tank.
I suppose it was kinda like a French pre-Churchill
The Germans, for their part, took every last one they could find for their own army because they entirely lacked a solid heavy tank at that time.
Sure, its outdated, but it was a solid vehicle in theory, it just had bad statistics
Bad statistics brought about by the lack of manpower and economic support.
Single man turret, still has an absurd amount of crew.
The B1 Bis is... its not a game changer for the French, but it wasn't a godawful vehicle.
...I do feel it much to compare it in anyway to the churchill.
Because despite the Churchill being outdated in concept, it was well executed.
Ultra low crew fatality rate in a churchill. Some of the heaviest armor the allies could bring to the battle.
Anyway
At least the French never ended up falling into the same issue the Japanese and Italians did.
Read: Use an interwar design for the rest of the war.
(And then get unfairly joked about by people either unaware or uncaring for the facts of the time. Mussolini dragged an agrarian nation into war with an insufficient industry to produce many vehicles of quality. Now animes and documentaries make fun of them and act like the Italians just didn't know how to make a vehicle.)
(Fuck GuP by the way. Fuck it with a flamer)
superheavies were a mistake
Always were.
holds up gun
lol
Truth be told, tanks weren't their strong point... Weapons on the other hand had some really nice ones...
Oh for sure
The Italians had some of the better infantry weapons.
(Barring their LMG's and HMG's, which were pretty bad. Still, having a good rifle, SMG, and so on isn't half bad.)
I feel like the night lords would get all fangirly over having soemthing like this installed into their helms
The Aztec Death Whistle. (The use of horse stampede audio recreates how the opposing Spanish invading army would sound).
cuz that would seem right up their alley if they dotn already have soemthing like this goin on
not to interrupt your talk of tanks
sounds like screaming, appropriately enough
I like the end of the video when they simulate a aztec charge using the whisltes
cuz ya fuck dealing with that lol
true lma
*lmao
I remember that the Romans had a similar thing. it looked like a cross over between a windsock and a chinese dragon costume
it also made a really bizzare noise but it used the wind passing through it as the horse charged
presumably so that the rider wouldn't knock their own teeth out
huh never heard bout that sounds pretty metal
yh
Imagine some Rough riders inspired by that
have an aura that makes enemies have to pass a moral check
nice
The Aztecs did their best.
Just can't beat that large of a tech gap, but also more importantly, literally everyone hating you more than a foreign invader.
And disease
Well i mean they killed a fuckton of the local populace and basicly harvested them like cattle for scrifice which was basicly an industry to them sicne they thought they needed constant sacrifices for all their gods to keep the empire goin
actaully i think it was buncha the lesser tribes also aiding the spaniards in one way or another
like acting as navigators and shit
And the tech gap wasnt as big a hindrance as youd think cuz there are alotta tales of their weapon obsidian tehy may be straight up punching throught metal breastplates
It was mostly disease and being hated by everyone that really did them in
and they fact they thought the spaniards were intially gods or messengers of teh gods
Nope.
Not a thing.
Well these are accounts of the spaniards encountering them soo
Like the spaniards themselves saying they wrecked thier shit in ambushes and undersetimating their weapons
Lets be clear. They wouldn't have to do so because we're not talking fully armored knights.
They could butcher them by striking their faces, arms, and legs.
This presuming we're not talking about Cortez himself, who probably brought some more considerable protection
Not saying they intentionally targeted the armor just sayign theres plaenty of tales of them ebing punctured
And I say its bullshit unless proven otherwise. No way is a fragile stone like obsidian punching through solid plate steel.
It'd shatter like glass.
And make no mistake the weapon was basicly useless after the breached the armor
Ya thats what theyed say
itd wreck the weapon but it could punch through the armor
ill look around if i can find some accounts
Besides, given the structure of a macuahuitl, it's basically a club.
A club with glass blades on it
It doesn't punch through anything
Blunt force is doing the work
But yes.
I'm not saying the Aztecs were bad at fighting. Far from it.
But the Horse and rider was simply something they had never considered on fighting.
They also had access to bronze metal for weapon
So some of those tales could be of bronze weapons
Bronze I could see.
(Not saying a Horse is a tech thing. It was just an unfortunate truth that no animal could be domesticated for use in battle in South America.)
I wasnt saying the mecahutal i was talking specifically about the spears
Aperently the mechatual could wreck a horse though if they succeded in landing a hit
Everyone and their mother associates the macuahuitl with the Aztecs, since it was one of their main weapons. That and the tepoztopilli.
But yes, it could wound a horse.
That and Aztec sacrifice is greatly overdone, they werent really killing that many people
And the Aztecs, to their credit, used smart tactics to blunt the charge of horses
Like fighting on hillsides
Ya they tested it on dealiest worrior and could nearly decapitate a mock horse head
Also what convo led to this?
This
But the blad was wrecked after it hit the spine even if it manged to cut it
So ya alotta their weapons were effective against the spaniards but were one use most of teh time
Cuz the blades would get wrecked
Although ya im seeing the whole it could get between the gaps in teh armor more
while im looking for some kinda source
Anyway.
The main point of my statement was that the Aztecs were good warriors, but they were undone because the Spaniards brought things they couldn't have fathomed fighting, and they had to think on their feet to deal with it. (That bit about the Spaniards being gods is also a bit over the top. The natives weren't that dumb.)
But more importantly, all the surrounding groups wanted a piece of the Aztecs, or were direct rivals to them.
So while the Conquistadores under Cortez were a tiny force, they could pay for massive mercenary units to be their main line.
Though google keeps gibving me morelists on teh spaniards armoury and some stuff bout aztecs but not really the relavent question
I guess alotta stuff sights the biggest weapon and most effective weapon they broguht was germs
Which i mean ya
DIdnt they intentonally trade them disease laced horse blankets to weaken tehm?
I doubt they were aware of it, but it did play a factor.
cuz i think that was s standard tactic for the spanish back then was to trade some natives disease laced stuff before a take over?
No actaully weve had a long uunderstandign of disesae but not germs so by tehn we already knew about things carrying plague and disesae even if we didnt know the exact cause
Otherwise flinging dead cattle to cause plague wouldnt be such a beloved tactic of old world armies
and otehr examples of primitve biological warfare
Its why later colonization of the Americas went as well as it did (Which in fairness was not all that great since it took so many attempts.)
The Native Americans of both north and south went through a literal apocalypse. The English colonies were facing the small group of survivors.
(And I didn't say they weren't aware of disease. Merely that they weren't aware of the extent of the effect on the natives.)
Ah
to the last part i mean ah i see what you mean now
Ya actually tehy think the native american before their apocalypse were so numours they actaully chopped down enough forest to casue a mini ice gae in europe
But thats one youd have to look up for more deets
And weve only just started figureing out we mighta been buidlozing old native strcures without entirely realizing it cuz theyve found this one temple that was basicly a fucking hill
but what made it stand out was the soil it was made from was taken from all ove the country to build it and then they found out it was like some kinda temple inside
but i guess theyre still slowly bulldozing it either way which is kinda fucked
and this isnt some small hill either
liek this thing will suppsoedly take few years to get rid of
unless they changed thier mind at some point since i last read bout it
Any recommendations on reading/learning about 40K lore? I don’t really know much about warhammer in general, played Vermintide and Vermintide 2 and decided I wanted to learn more about 40K prior to Darktide’s release. I am sure it will be like drinking from a fire hose am looking for a good place to start
Just do what I did, pick a faction you like and start wiki walking.
You'll absorb things as you go
I'd say, if you like more light-hearted stuff, Adeptus Ridiculous is a decent entry point and so are Bricky's videos
Adeptus Ridiculous is probably the only lore channel I actually enjoy, if only because it's not someone quoting Lexicanum at me
Yeah for sure I’d be down
Oculus Impera is good
So is leutin
Oculus gets the events out in an immersive, fun way.
40k Theories doesn't always do wide spectrum lore but its a neat listen
https://youtu.be/IMFI8waM8rs You want the whole of the unification of Terra, here's the whole damn thing
Being a complete and true history of the Unification Wars, containing divers discourses upon the conflict, the nature of the Thunder Warriors, the creation of the Legiones Astartes, and the early life of the Emperor of Mankind.
This is the Oculus Imperia 30,000 Subscriber Special. Thank you to each and every one of you who have helped me reach ...
Its amazing and I love it
And I wish Oculus got more praise.
Oh boy I’ll check that out too haha
wait
whats this im hearing
about the 13th black crusade being a campaign with the outcome being decided by the players?
what
they did that a long ass time ago
though it was a score system that lead to which planets were lost to chaos and such
^
It eventually got updated with the Fall of Cadia
Let's take a dive into Abaddon's 13th Black Crusade with the Eye of Terror codex from 2003.

These two nerds put it well together
oh no its cringe
oh man
this is fuckin old, the codex had authors names on it
damn i want this book
I think a pdf is the only option
doubt it has physical copies anymore
unless like its on ebay or something
Its one of the most memorable 40k covers imo
discount abaddon nooo
lel
Don’t diss dormammu
dorms used to be a big deal
Nooooooo
man marvel's cosmic gods are really wacky to begin with
I don’t keep up with marvel stuff anymore in fairness
i mean its impossible
I prefer his comic design to the movie
and every appearance is so WILDLY different
Fire head cooler than discount t hanos
like that's why im so forgiving to GW's treatment of 40k lore
because i've lived with superhero comics for so long
tbh
the bullshit marvel pulls surpasses even 40k too imo
i mean its not even a bit of a stretch
there's a universal reboot every 5 years
Marvel does something and you either have a majority of man babies crying or cheering
I just like the pretty colours
dont do it onut i see you typing
Party babies for the wii fanbase is good
AAAAA
like the idea that marneus was actually the original calgar's boy
like that
sent 40k fans nuts
Tbh that i dont care about
its not even a retcon
its literally just something we didnt know about
I was like "wow imagine if you read one superhero comic in ya life kid"
but yeah 40k lore is incredibly interchangable
anything can be added in as long as the fluff behind it is acceptable
lmao yeah
a couple of years ago
a dude just went
"fuck it, wolverine is so popular, right?'
"he made the xmen"
and BOOm
they did a canon story where wolverine had the idea to create the xmen
lmao
Yeah with comics the best excuse you have in your lap iiiiis
on a weekly basis
oh im pretty sure that was the normal 616 timeline too
like they didnt even put it in an alt universe

they were just like "nah thats what happened the whole time"
this happens EVERY week tho
theres just shit that happens too
where the next writer goes
"no just not even gonna pretend that happened"
yeeee
40k is less brave with it
since again
fans
Also they need to put tabletop into account
since lore comes second
Emma Frost puts on magneto's helmet and goes "I'm the black queen, the main radical enemy replacing magneto"
next comic, shes in white and shes like "nope, same character that i was in the 80s, fuck developing it"
god there was one time daredevil got his identity exposed
and he was like "ok now i wanna be happy" and shows up with a pimp cane and a belt buckle that says "Im daredevil"
next series
"nah lol"
just the entire thing was never mentioned again
god i hate comics
Marvel has their multiverse card in the back pocket
they dont even use that shit sometimes is what im saying
when it would make these changes appropriate and understandable
LOL another funny change i liked
Sabretooth went on a three year arc in becoming a legitimate, compassionate hero after wolverine died
and they just went
fuck it no, wolverine's back babbbbyyyyy
and for no reason, Sabretooth bad!
comics suck
anybody wanna see my new comic tho?
They want to develop a character but still need to maintain status quo
I kinda get it
Go for it
i mean you can at least put in a line explaining the regression?
"Didnt want to be a hero any more"
or some shit
its like if you picked up the next 40k codex to find no mention of Guilliman at all
turns out hes still sleepin lol
and then the fanbase doesnt even notice or mention it
they just go "yesss status quoooooo"
Idk
I can appreciate arcs like that. As long as the character is still some semblance of themselves
Deadpool does it all the time
I love character development arcs
like when Cyclops turned into magneto
but at least in that instance, they explained how he went back
no one actually reads comics, dont worry
they just look at the panels posted on twitter
or watch a youtube summary
that's how this shit gets past fans
Like how does an arc end with this
Woah she becomes judge dredd huh
and the next appearance she looks like
EVEN THE COVER ARTIST
DREW THE BlACK COSTUME
and had to go back
lol, its supposed to be a mix between cyclops and magneto's helmets
“People change”
so the arc goes from Inhumans vs Xmen to X-Men: Red
i believe
but if you want the whole Cyclops goin terrorist-mode you gottta start with Avengers vs X-Men
why am i even talking about this crap
god i hate comics
Here's a rough of one of the hive planets from my new comic! 😄
Oooh the Eye of Terror Codex is only 3 bucks
on ebay
fuck i love that
Wot?
For real?*
He was using pencils for this one
which is sick
and the flat colors probably give it that old-timey edge
Reminds me of thorgal specifically
Like the top panel
When I was a kid I used to read a lot of comic books from the 80's I think
Stuck with me
hell ye broh
good taste
that was the best era for the medium
before the collectors market
people were just telling stories
also kinda feel like it ruined comic books for me
I never like them as much as I do those
yeah when you were introduced at such a high standard
hard to find comics that are as-good or better than those
They recently did a reboot of some pulpy comics I used to read and uh
It was neat, more serious, big story arcs all that
But it looked so boring
yeah
and most fans have such a low-bar for what passes as good when it comes to comics
so asking for recommendations never works out
they cared back then...
they had standards
where did it all go wrong
M O N E E
Artists got less to do with it and now you just have a corporate machine making comics with hack writers who do ego shit
nah
it was the collector market entirely
i mean one can argue it all started with Wertham
but it was the collector market that really ended it
Image comics, Death of Superman
that shit
THe process is streamlined, the most cost effective way of drawing is created, viola.
yeah but it was during the 90s
when the art became the most important part
and those artist were living so fucking large
millionaires
I feel like it's digitalisation maybe ?
no absolutely not
Everything looks perfect and samey
like every 90s comic wasnt digital
Well I dunno
and that was easily the worst comics that were ever produced
Something somewhere went wrong
yeah it was collectors market of the early 90s
people would pick up 30 copies of death of superman and not open the books
it didnt matter what was contained in the book
I've been excited to read sandman but fm they're pricey
They also look spicy
Also this prolly isn't lore chat lol
oh my god the TEETH
lmao
Is it? Me and my buddy were getting so hyped over that 🤔
The Sister of Battle comic
Writer: Torunn Gronbekk
Artist: Edgar Salazar
Plot: Canoness Veridyan and her squad fights daemons
Jeansdealers
Friggin Slytherin writing comics
drawing* :>
Reading an interview excerpt from Andy Chambers by shaskais and uh
-If the 40K universe ends, the Orks would survive. They would be fragments of fungus clinging to rocks floating in the whirling Chaos. This means that Ork would inherit the galaxy; that's what they were made for anyway.
There won't be mushroom left in the galaxy once the orks fully take over
Wat
Exactly

what
well that was weird
indeed
true
I think Kaelus got him
Damn we are attracting more and more people like that
honestly ppl like that are funny. in the same way that a cat misjudging a jump is funny.
I agree, I just hope It doesn't end up being a common sight once the game releases
true
What did i missed?
I imagine... I'm reading the other chats
before that it was me immortalizing a really grimdark quote hobo said
I saw that too... A great work, like always

lmao
But tougher
thats not a bad question actually
i wonder it now too
like im guessing maybe meat? Just more... mushroomy?
Im thinking the other way round
Da hell is a portobello?
Ah
damn son check it out
They are real tasty as burger substitutes haha
Get some rolls some pesto and herbs and good cheese
I can see a catachan and a armageddon ork hunter exchanging recipes
if you painted yourself green, could you pass yourself off as an ork? and if you did, would you become an ork if they belived you?
No
DIGGANOBZ!
Hell yeah
I hope they release some diggas at some point
I really like the idea of having ork cultists basically
His face looks not ok
I’m here to take ya memes, ya food, and ya things. manspreads if you thought Gabriel Angelos was the leader of the blood ravens. Think again.
Imagine if orkz could get digganobz as some weird subfaction outsida gorkamorka
kinda like how tau get gaula or whatever
i think itd be fun if done right
That'd be amazing
What's a digganob?
A human that acts like an ork and paints itself green
I see, that's funny xD
It's from an old GW game called Gorkamorka
The Horus Heresy is the origin story of Warhammer 40,000, and the Siege of Terra is bringing it to an end. Find out what the Warmaster himself, Dan Abnett, has to say about it in a video interview.
Start reading the Siege of Terra now in 'The Solar War'. http://bit.ly/2VWA66c
lol the link they posted is broken
god I cant take this seriously with the dark elf total war theme in the background lol
I don't own this, Creative Assembly does. But no one else seems to have uploaded it and it's nice.
Dark elves are just femdom elves
For some reason I cant ping
😩

Right so
Arent the memes abt craftworldwrs beimg responsible for the fall kind of inaccurate?
Since theyre like puritans who fled the empire
Damn
While the drukhari are more akin to the empire
Oh yeah they're 100% inaccurate
as you say they are the ones who fled
and the dark eldar actually take pride in saying they are the true eldar in lore
Yeee
Ye my understanding of the timeline is like
Iirc the drukhari have some of the old prince bloodlines of the aeldari still around
Accordint to Elf from path of the deldar
eldar empire starts slowly teetering to shit AGES ago, at which point the exodites say fuck this shit im out and go live as hippies
when it starts going like actually really to shit the craftworlders jump ship too, aaand then a while later they blow up and the remaining bdsm elves run off to the nearest highway to mug passerbies
p much
except replace nuke bunkers with spaceships lul
it's basically a doomsday prepper monastic cult tbh
yep
LUL
Angry, angry about elves
No you dont get it malekith was the true hero all along
asuryan was just doing a prank bro
I dont care how many fucking explanations they give to that, its stupid
Malekith does a little trolling
so mundane and dumb?? headass just he ran out of the fire a lil too quickly
cus asuryan is big brain
LMAO
God i swear
i laughed so much reading that for the first time
"IF ONLY HE STAYED A BIT MORE IN THE FIRE"
and that previous phoenix kings took potions and shit
TURNS OUT THAT MALEKITHS POOR PAIN TOLERANCE WAS NOT ACCOUNTED FOR IN ASURYANS CALCULATIONS
congrats the elven race is now doomed
thanks
not even the premium WHFB methheads smh

Malerion?
Malaria
Uh was that malekith's new dumb name?
No me boy malekith
why does GW wanna copyright its shit so hard now anyways
I will never stop laughing at it
like, actually, what's the need
IIRC, it was partially because of 3rd party miniature stores selling stuff like 'Space Marine this' and 'Imperial Guard that' and the Courts telling James Workshop that Space Marine and Imperial Guard and etc were too generic to be protected by copyright.
ye but like?? they're still doing that
Brand rec too
Hence, the Great Renaming
they're just calling them like
galaxy guard or smthn
yeah but aelves is silly
yeah its a shit name
Duergar
dUadIn no u mean dorf

like
at least Aeldari and Astra Militarum or Drukhari arent cringe?
it sounds cool enough
then you got fucking Ogors
lmao
I'm just annoyed they changed Orks to Orruks and Dwarves to Duardin when they already have perfectly serviceable names with Grobi and Dawi
GW is such a shit company
Eh
they're fine
Its the shit they do that is dumb
again scorpion and the frog, its their nature
Ah yes, the incredible evils of the Drew Carey
That kinda makes em a shitty company though lmao
Like all companies hunting that infinite growth
lmao yeah i just dont wanna be too rough about it
tbh yeah most of the pig latin sounding imperial names are like
fine
they work well
so does eldar even, tho i imagine that's not copyrightable either
its tolkien's yep
GW isnt shit, its more the boardmembers being dumb boomers
ye
since they just call all the bad shots
Much as we rag on 'em, GW has gotten kinda better over the years
They're run like most japanese game devs
By all means GW is a p good company atm
Completely out of touch
And yeah undead is right
Yeah thats true
40k team atm seems creatively bankrupt
Can't wait for Space Marine pachinko machines
NOOOO
Lmao
Theyre gonna release a new battlesuit for every faction ala the nundam
lmao
but yeah its the tinier stuff they do that is questionable
iirc they tried to even copyright the chaos star once
which wasnt even theirs
and failed the courtcase lul
Doesnt help that copyright is a dumb shit show to begin with
We will finally reach peak Necron by having a robot inside of an even bigger robot
Amazing
Necron driving another necron from inside it? 👀
Necron in a necron is too lewd
Wouldn’t that be called boning?
where's that guy from yesterday talking about metallica being sellouts
xzibit would be a big sellout
In before GW releases a Necron Babycarrier like the dreadknight
I hate that I can see that happening
I mean they do have sisters power loaders <_<
lmao
Weird way to spell western devs.
There’s a part of a book
Where... i think it was Grammaticus meeting that imperial saint dude on a farm
Was is it in Prospero Burns?
? Talking about how often japanese game companies are run by old boomers that can barely use computers.
ignoring how western gaming is slowly committing suicide by alienating their audiences with political bullshit
laughs in exterminatus
Big doubt there buddy
Gaming has never been bigger
You might not like it, but that's just how it be some times
Sure if you ignore pretty much everything
i mean
But hey you're free to live your delusions
p objectively the industry is doing fine

also why are u so worked up about this
ye worked up
If you need to project that hard it reflects more on you
it's odd
🤷🏻♂️
Anyway gonna just dip out of his circlejerk before someone malds and cries to the mods
Talking about politics in a game. In a warhammer 40K server? Okay the irony of that is astounding.
gonna ping incan, there is a man here uh
Hey now there's some overeducated kids who think that 40k was made to be political satire, without a hint of irony

now i'm unsure if i'm just being baited tbh. Like, that's not a those damn liberal college kids thing
that's just a bunch of 80s brits making a sci fi setting with ork warbosses named after contemporary political figures lol
Watch out ratty, he got faks n logic on his side
Let’s talk about the t’au for a second, and that’s all I need to say
that was in like idk 2001 or smhtn to be fair
p sure rogue trader came out in 86 or smthn
YES
