kairos is the tzeencth lord of change isn't it?
always feels like skarbrand is the one greater daemon people remember
i knew i recogniced the name there
yeah probably so
i mean i can't even remember who nurgle has a greater daemon
apostle?
nor slanesh
"Skarbrand hates knocking sounds! Skarbrand hates going outside. And going inside. Skarbrand shall stay in the doorframe. He hates it slightly less."
Yeah tbh most named daemons dont really have alot memorable about them
Other than being better variants of the generic
i pretty much only know kairos and skarbrand cause they are like the only ones that do anything
I remember skarbrand for memes and Kairos because of his blind to the present gimmick
skarbrand was the one that thanqoul summoned and he got really mad about it
yep
and then promptly died i take it
Warpstone grade plot armor
i have no idea who he is
just a damn fucking shame honsou survived when uriel passed through
he is a skaven in warhammer fantasy
and he is like a saturday morning villain
keeps coming back with greater and greater plots
and they keep being foiled
yeah, it's no wonder the skaven never get anywhere if they're all like that
i'm so broken, i read honsou marine
god help me
horny honsou
absolutely not
i would consider exterminatusing a world if it meant that he would 100% die in the process
I don't see Tzeentch being more powerful than Khorne though

Wait that's heretical talk, Saltzpyre said to not grade evils
Do you think they will pull Slaneesh out from 40k like they did in AoS?
What would the implications even be for that
wouldn't surprise me if they did
marketability is more important than interesting lore :^)
Slaneesh is still in AoS to a fair degree
yeah, slaanesh did come back
otherwise you wouldn't have Sigvald getting a new model or any of the heodonite stuff
they actually went back on it?
interesting
colour me surprised
cause it did seem like he was gonna be stuck in horny jail forever
i don't think it was so much a retcon as it was part of the plan all along
i don't really delve into AoS, but my DM reads pretty deep into most things, and he was pretty sure it was fairly well executed
yeah i'm not really a fan either, just purely based on how they left fantasy, BUT
i'm glad to hear people are happy with what they are doing with it
Yeah AOS is fine for what it is.
I dont like the setting and I prefer Fantasy but i wont say its a shit setting.
the "age of shitmar" stuff got old so fast
i just find the setting confusing
It might be the realm-jumping nonsense which i hate
it offers freedom sure but eh
just curious has any of the daemon primarchs manifested in fantasy
Nope.
they're very much 40k characters
They are completely seperated by now
The only thing I don't like is Sigmar's faction
Everything else looks hella cool to me
Especially Sharky Elf
all i know about sigmar was this video
It's literally Sigmarines
i like the stormcast helmets
They used to be connected with each other but gw went "screw that" at some point
And you thought Kaldor Draigo appearing in the End Times was merely a subtle reference.
Considering pre-ordering Eternal Crusade (the upcoming 40k MMO)? Use my referral code when signing up for 4,000 extra blingbling points: EC-2QHHBV8RGCTS7
https://www.eternalcrusade.com/account/sign-up/?ref_code=EC-2QHHBV8RGCTS7
PS. EC at pre-order costs $...
lmao
@cloud kindle The closest you have is Liber Chaotica, the mad ramblings of a warhammer fantasy demonologist that writes a tome of demons and he has visions into 40k here and there. It has some primarch cameoes but its more descriptions of them more than anything else.
i hate that shit
i hear it has depictions of chaos space marines in it
I don't like the Stormcasts
handwriting is shit lmao
I would like them more if they had a different helmet
Because to me it seemed more like they looked at 40k and said
"Dante is popular, why not make an entire legion of him"
They're pretty much fantasy marines.
Not that its a bad thing but you cant really deny thats what they are.
Whenever I see a Sigmarine I see Dante
helemts are roman inspired if i remember anyway
the one thing i know about the stormcast eternals is that if they die, they come back without any of their shit, so they have to go back and make a wargear run
i've read some people claiming they're different enough to marines to be itneresting
but i wouldn't know
and stormcast have alot of roman going on
thats the funny part, when AOS first came around people loved using them for Blood Angels kitbashes and still do
Yeah that's exactly it
and yeee stormcasts goals wise are literally a team of good guys, they're awesome but you need to get into the lore to know most of that.
If I wanted to make a Blood Angels kit I would just buy AoS stuff and just merge them
I sorta figured people might have had the same idea
But didn't expect it to be an actual thing
But this is geedubs products, ofc they would
the idea of kitbashing terrifies me; i feel like i don't have an ounce of creativity for that kind of thing
i've got loads of ideas but am worried of ruining it
I helped a friend make a Norscan army
But because I liked him enough I gave him my ideas how to kit it out since he is into all that viking metal and stuff but he wanted them to ook even more savage, but not completely armored to the point of a Marine (so to speak)
sounds cool
And a normal marauder that would otherwise be having a shield and axe was running around with spears instead
Even though TTwise that would be... well spear
But gamewise they were all still default stuff
I really don't think I have any of the pictures
Even some chaos lords and chaos warriors got their heads replaced by some modified marauder heads
You could still see what type of unit they were without any issues despite the swap around, but again stuff got modified by a dremel tool so you wouldn't have a Marauder with a CW head
i still find chaos warriors looking so much cooler than chaos marines
they look so damn chonky
1000%
and yuge compared to the normal spearboi of the empire
it must've been horrible facing chaos warriors in general
Also bias towards Fantasy but, considering all marines look like slight modifications I still think Warriors are a hundred times cooler
i much prefer slaves to darkness to black legion
they work the aesthetic better
Well too bad the different variations of CW's we were supposed to see weren't added in for the sake of space and memory usage of the game
yeah
they're so fucking thicc
it's insane
knowing they're stuck in the armour makes it even better
that's his life now
I hate that tbh lmao
love it
I looked in the folders I have backed up on this current rig so I think some pictures might be in a backup old HDD
so I will have to get back to seeing if any of the model pictures survived in that
I know the first custom we made he wanted it to look like a Chaos Lord Thor
I still find it funny that the 4 different kinds of Chaos Warriors are more diverse than the 4 different kinds of Space Marines for their respective gods
for Marines it's more like a color scheme with minor details on the shoulderpads and boots, while the helmet changes
For the Warriors it's like outright clear and the thematic is there
Its probably because they're the chaos ultramarines.
aka posterboys.
the other ones have a motif
Yeah like, they look REALLY "default"?
ngl, black legion should have died out after HH
Aren't the death guard difficult to paint?
and Slave to Darkness do the Black legion motif better
woulda made them cooler if it was like "this is what we could have been, a unified force"
I can imagine it's a hassle to get all the cuts and guts
fucking love age of reckoning concept art
instead of them existing and being garbage
that concept art pile god knows gave birth to how many references for OC's across the years
i know because im one such person
without a doubt

in the lore chat no less
the most accurate place
actual true tbf
😳
and therefor it would be official lore

But yeah no matter how you look at it
The Fantasy lords all stick to their extreme correct themes
Ofc biased so a grain of salt
i think we will start seeing that with 40k now panda
ofc theres generic chaos marines
but DG and the like
DG bring in that bank because the designers actually get to be unique
yup
it's like they are trying to make 40k more friendly to paint and sell? by removing most of the unique elements or something I don't know
and i hope now thats made bank theyll do the same for the others
tbh id like that too
Like they are giving all the numarines all the stuff now
BUT THEY ARE JUST RECOLORS
I HATE IT
With regards tot his i can tell you exactly what i think it is
And then the *dark eldar got a pointy stick all up in their rig like sockpuppets
40k is a unique setting, which is great
but
because its unique it doesnt draw people who sit there and go "thats like a star wars"
Like where are the guts spilling out of the death guards or the bare abs of a slaneeshi chaos lord anyway
so we are now getting a generic sci fi makeover for sm and stuff
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
to bring that in
Chaos really does descend.
that's a sick blaster
he got that gat
top loading like champ
FYI this shit model is still in the store
If I made a legion it would be Salamanders, and you would bet your skaven butt that I would buy any fantasy/aos kit that had the most dragon skulls or I would just putty and dremel tool it myself
What ever happened to NOISE MARINES with god damned guitar cannons
That's shit?
but ye my point being 40k does have unique models per god
We talkin abt chaos?
Hello Jean, how did you enjoy your truckload of jeans?
Monogod?
dont, youll attract the "but atheism right" people

nonogod more like
I mean think about it for a second
For daemons
If a Space Wolf chaplain only has a wolf skull for a motif, what is stopping me from adding more skulls or a cape?
: Too much effort.
: We can do that why not!
daemon update never
If I had a Salamanders chaplain, why isn't the skull of a dragon?!

Yet you have some who has dragon skulls on their shoulderpads
BUt the Salamanders chaplain has a generic skull
I DON'T
!????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!
AoS makes daemon updates for 40k LUL
GOSH THE GEEDUBS RAGE IS KICKING IN
reject chaos
Could he be any more bald
return to monke
crack
I would rather he have a helemet
He doesnt have a gun tho
he has a hand
Everytime someone puts a unique helmet or makes their own for their named characters, they instantly look a thousand times cooler
BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL BALD OR HAVE GENERIC SHITTY LOOKING HAIR
I should probably calm down the geedubs rage is real
Looks like a good boi
he calming, yes?
p e t
I wouldnt he looks bity
Plus his red lttle eyes makes me think of rats
I would
Ogryn likes
*** w o u l d m a k e f o r g o o d p i t f i g h t s ***
No but seriously, Space Wolves chaplain stands out because it has a wolf skull, and their Terminator Chaplains look fan fucking tastic
Why in the god of anything is a Salamanders just a generic green chaplain
it literally begs for us to make our own
cute
what the fuck is that
fuck
new emotes just dropped
they do convey various feelings tbh
🤮
it hurts
yo we watchin' Power Ranger???
THAT'S WHAT IT REMINDS ME OF
N-NO!
THANK YOU
yeah boi
they've got that vibe
Literally monster of the week
THEY LITERALLY LOOK THE SAME
NO WAY
powerful
LMFAO
DUDE LOL
they look like foamy cardboard play
I can totally see them do cheesy telegraphed maneuvers

damn bro he be floatin'
What the fuck is that
watch out
how do he fly
Nosferatu in space?
chaos lord with jump pack tm
so many antigrav generators
No that's nosferatu with a power armor
just so many
i agree with ogryn buddy
ngl he cute though
he kinda thicc though
Is that supposed to he Abaddon?
na
Whats that hammer even
he lookin like a snack
He looks like he is going to die like he lived
abbadon looks alright to me
Okay ngl that one's pretty dope even if he's bald with a tophat attachment
i'd put his fucking mask on him though
Would rather see him with a helmet
gulliman's helmet is dope aswell
also Archaon in AoS
he's doing it to em
He got the drip
No please I still haven't recovered from when EA mutilated him
He looks like what Black Legion even aspires to look like
I love Archaons AoS model
i miss his old helmet
But my god his title in AoS though
his aos model is sick, i do however miss his horse
Grand High Marshall of Chaos
lmao
Oh that one
thats so bad
🤮
Arch Commodore of Chaos
What were they thinking
Big man
From Northern Warlord to in-between universe warlord
IT'S CALLED A BRAND YOU HORNY FUCK
😳
smh
IT WAS A VERY NORMAL WAY TO MAKE SURE ANIMALS COULD BE IDENTIFIED
My response: https://youtu.be/CV_jV0Be63A?t=16
i want to find the edit where abbadons top knot is massive and hes like will no one rid me of this meddlesome warrior
BEEP BEEP
I do not fuck mothers
i just sat in the car for a good 30 seconds when that happened to me
was like
the fuck.
i love the one where the guy gets noclipped through the ground
All the frustration Dilara has whenever I do a daily reminder
although that was more for letting evil ghosts out of each others' heads supposedly, so
Machine Spirits Be Like
Techpriest: Johnny see what happened? That ship just fired a blackhole cannon. How strange. Ah well.
ships just like: Fuck off im trying to sleep.
ass stamp
🏇
HERESY
ass brand
Dilara plz
SDKSDF
;-;
ass brand stamp
An ass-brand is a permanent burn made by a hot branding iron on a guy's boy-buns
so it IS the same thing
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

KILL THE DARK ELDAR
FLAY IT ALIVE
WEAR ITS SKIN
aaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Good shit.
the new reaction image i stole from here today whenever i see something about the black rage
wh- NECRON?
just random black rage stuff
lol
no go away yyou stupid flayers
This one is my favorite
wow we all got different favorites
the one at the front is the least egregious
ew
but they dancin'
How is that wolverine?
indeed
claws
feet
His arms look like the antennas you would place on old-ass TV's
or claws as you would call them
They don't even look like claws
they look more like the attachments of a diode
Like do you connect him to a circuitboard
Everyone else clearly has claws in that picture
His are more like pointy sticks
It's not even an angle-photo thing
So you're saying both of them just happened to be in the exact angle that you can just see them as a straight line?
it's more like they took the photo, sproused up the colors etc as they would and just erased what was supposed to be behind the claws
And you're just horny
heretic

Please. Clawnoisseur.
I actually uh prefer... the old scouts
and yeah they don't look like initiates anymore
They just look like normal marines with smaller legs
eat your primaris or you wont get your xenos models
I mean, an artist should paint out how thin their legs are on top of all that armor
lmao
This kills me
in the grim dankness of the 21st millennium there is only primaris models
So when will the story move forward? ETA?
in bout another decade
Or are they going to do the whole Gothic Fleet game thing sorta deal?
Would be nice to hear some references in Darktide
i want to have my boy spire canon
Since the whole zombiehorde thing is Typhus thing
just curious is typhus a daemon prince or just a really fucked up marine
It's just sad there is so much UI things on the foreground on top of the game*
Because if you do not pay attention to that
The background in those games are so god damned gorgeous and fantastic
ahh
wa about to ask what the hell you were trying to type
lmao
Like especially when you fight Tyranids or go into some meteor fields
Because holyshit it really feels like you are staring into the universe/space
ye
So fantastic
But the UI clutters it so badly you don't pay attention to it
fuckin dealing with the nid hiveship
Yeah it's fantastic
eventually just ran away with my lances firing
many of them just gave me shivers
I just
rip white scars
I just want to punt the writer who made the story that Creed got swiped by a god damned Necron
i like in the meeting with creed cawl was running numbers on creed
if he would accept the proposal and the chances of success killing him there or sending a skitarii force
haven't seen much memes about creed hiding baneblades lately
i mean the good news is creed survived
i mean trayzin nabbed him
so hes alive
might be let out of the pokeball when the story requires
depends if he can be exchanged for something more enticing
Oh you meant that
No he's essentially out of the story
Which is why I want to punt him
soon as he is out astropaths across the imperium just hear CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED shouted across the warp
the writer for that story
i mean im just glad that we got some closure for now and not ambiguous he might have lived or died there
he will prob be stolen back by the blood ravens when they find solomance
is it solomance?
solemnance
scholomance?
I need the source on this
The latest wave of Space Marines units have been revealed, soon to dominate battlefields across the galaxy. Which kit are you most looking forward to? https://bit.ly/2RinjWY
Don't forget to like, share and subscribe and to ring the bell to make sure you keep up to date with all our latest videos!
OH GOD
me too
i almost screamed
going over battlescribe trying to make a lamenters list
christ man
its fucking nuts
ehehe
induring one of the missions in Darktide has a twist where we get saved from a single primaris
just to sell the point of the figures
shudder
Not just a Primaris, a Primaris Lieutenant
I mean, a chaos marine could be a boss or large enemy.
It work as a Lord/Monster yes
Death Guard or maybe a Nurglite Warband that isn't much blessed by Nurgle
Same ! Holy shit
I like SoB. They are wonderfully batshit insane. I'm hoping the stories have chaos sisters
Give us less SoB stories, more SoS stories
Would be cool to have a book about the formation of the SoS and then a sequel about their reinstatement
The Emperor's Legion and the following 2 books?
Did those feature the events in question, or only briefly went over them and were more about their organization after their founding / refounding?
One of the characters for all three is a SoS and goes through her and her order being reinstanted and what's up on Luna
Yeah, so a brief retelling.
spoiler: I already read those books >n>
I mean like. A story featuring like, a force being set out to gather the future sisters of battle
I want to see the expressions that the sisters had upon being refounded. As those ancient relicquaries of SoS armour were reopening for the first time in 10,000 years
You sure are a wonder to talk to.

has anyone ever thought about how the change in atmospheric pressure in a drop pod would affect things and how it would be mitigated
like
being in a droppod overall can't be nice
Its why only troops like Astartes can use them
yeah
Their armour auto-regulates pressure. Its how they can go in and out of void ships without dying
the armor would most likely deal with it as it has its own oxygen supply etc
but still
What i dont get is how they survive the impact
Its not like they slow down or anything
They even have thrusters to hit the ground even harder
probably internal systems in the drop pod
I mean if you "drop" something from the orbit and its increasing in speed shouldn't the drop pod just get crushed? Or at least the marines inside their suits?
and that the momentum-caused movement would be minimal as they're kind of strapped in
the drop pod, if it's hard enough, no. but it should create fucking big craters
depends on speed
but it might
should, probably
the droppod was somewhere noted that it has a ''free floating'' internal cage
that would make sense
some kind of Golden Age mumbo jumbo plot device inside the pod keeps them floating until the pod slams
then it gently places them down
and the power armor probably has some suspension systems of its own
The chairs do
the power armor doesnt have internal suspension, it has shock dampeners
Drop pods have small rocket engines on them that help make minor course corrections and slow the descent just enough before impact for the crew and pod to survive the landing undamaged
I mean the armor wont move that much but floaty stuff like guts or your brain will still take quite some damage from the sudden stop shouldn't they?
Huh ok weird
just imagine a magnetic lift probably
yeah that
i'm not an engineer
its fine
Older drop pod designs could actually take off again
lift pod
Yeah like those chaos claw things?
Bonk and Honk
drop your load and hit the road
Yeah right
theyre coincidentally the only droppods used for ship to ship drops, as the claws can rend apart hulls
They just had a nasty habit of killing the occupants, cause the machine spirit got angy
if you were to put a non-SM in a drop pod would they die on impact
Now! Tyranid drop pods! How do they survive? They dont have this weird no-gravity-inside-thingy
space nid bullshit
Aight
some nids are even capable of liquifying themselves and re-assembling
Wait what?
on that, there are civilian droppods
its like when you toss a bug off the balcony and it survives the fall
they fly slower and have a larger suspension cage
Where did you read that?
its something that was mentioned when the toxic pits are explained
''some seemingly reassembling later on and retaining memories''
Same way their ships are actually just big nids, yet said big nids have no issues being exposed to the vaccum and exotic radiation of space
Thats because its too light/falls too slow to take damage
Or i just missed a joke
In that case my bad
yes it was a joke
heehoo
Ouch
😔
My personal favorite use of droppods is still with the Ursus Claws Ship melee
Oh yeah
I thought there was some kind of weird slime nid that can change shape or something
For your information right, the Ursus claw is a titan-weapon that is normally used to launch at an enemy titan and then tear off one of its weapons in the process
Or, if its a boarding claw, drill in and release boarding parties
Angron had warlord titan variants mounted in his torpedo bays and assault batteries
Jesus
You just have to imagine a ship getting so close you cant fire your ordinance anymore, right?
they are so close the void shields merge, if any party fires, the debris will take out both of you
Suddenly, They literally fucking tether the ships together with titan grade grappling hooks and you hear reports of angron barreling down the halls
Im not joking, this is a genuine maneuver the world eaters pulled and its fucking hilarious
They are so fucking Angy that they MELEE The enemy ship
Angron's ship was an ironclad with voidshields
Imagine the other ship slows down or speeds up and all of those break off
<ironclads are normally ships with no void shields but with a ridiculous amount of armor plating>
Well thats the fun thing right
What happens if you try to tear those hooks off? you ruin one entire side of your ship
They don't look that solid to me :/
Theyre strong enough to tear the prow from another ship
In one of the books which actually depicts ship combat they fly by, fire 8 hooks into the enemy prow and pull it off
But again thats just lore fluff because in a "realistic" fight you could just take his ship out with lances from a safe distance
Like 20km or something
youd think that
again he didnt just have void shields, it was an ironclad ontop of that
So even if you manage to take out his shields, its now just a flying battering ram thats about to knock on your door
if it's so heavily armoured it's very much possible that it would withstand so much ordinance until it closes in on you
Of course,
i agree with that completely
But we are talking about ships that can jump to fractions of light speed
Ramming is almost certainly not going to happen
Not very accurately tho
let me get one thing across here
Cuz warp stupid
How large is that thing? Lmao
The Conquerer is one of the largest ships the imperium had
Escorts are like 1,5 km lmao
and thats to note, the emperors flagship, the largest battleship to have existed, exceeds 1700 km long
Na the word bearers had the largest ones, lemme find
then again the emperos flagship is the same ship that can literally take on entire fleets on its own and has titans as its main deck defenses against boarders
One of the, not THE largest space marine ship
Im aware, dont worry
Chances are angrons ship was a gloriana
the thing is, it was so ridiculously over-armored that the engines had to be refitted to be able to normally speed up
His specific demands were to be able to be sent so close to the enemy he could jump from his deck to theirs
I also love how those ships only have thrusters on the back, like how do they stop?
Retro thrusters are in many side points on the ships
Yeah on the sides only right?
Let me show you something
This is fan art, but the writer of the custodes books commented on how it fits his vision
those small bois beside it are Emperor classes
Yeah i was talking gw designs
Now, this is just for scale
but it represents the custodes flagship
its a low res, but it has a warlord titan strolling over an open place on the deck
Like if they have thrusters on the front they are too small to be seen and thus would take an eternity to get the ship to stop
Youd be surprised
Oh boy Big E's flagship
Pumping the brakes of a vehicle stops you quicker due to every time you hit the brakes again, you have to employ less force because you have already slowed down before
its basically: You slow down, release the brakes, now the brakes will be slowing you down BETTER next time you push them because of the fact that youre already stalling a little
its a curing effect where the more you pump the brakes, the faster you will go... slower
this will forever remind me of that starwars pasta of that huge imperial vessel
lemme find it
enjoy the read
it's very entertaining
Oh yeah
makes fun of the logistics of ships too big
does 40k fit into that category lol
The issue with large ships is very apparent
we did the math on walking from one side to another in a space marine cruiser
34.7 hours
Why would you have to do that tho
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Lol
it shows that travel time from one end of the ship to another, with vehicles, is still retarded
retarded
Yikes
words exist with reason get over it
The fuck does that even mean?
That you can use context to realize it doesnt have any form of malicious meaning beyond the target it is pointed at
It's still an offensive word, whether you are trying to be mean with it or not
Depends on if you want it to be, i disconnect the word from the insult as i dont use it for the very reason people find it offensive
again you can ignore it
Seems like quite a few hoops when you could just use just about any other word in a server where we're supposed to be nice to each other
it seems that youre choosing to make an issue out of it though
Sorry we really have completely different views on this. Some words you of course pretty much don't want to use, but i dont include this one in it

I mean yeah, I chose to say something because it bothers me
I respect that,
Idk, I'm not super well spoken so I'm sure someone else could make the case better than me, but I'd throw that word in with other discriminatory words that shouldn't be used around here
i wouldnt but again, thats where we differ ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Sure, so why not err on the side of being nice?
I mean, it's disrespectful and can be pretty hurtful so that's not at all true
Ill just say that Elysis whatver YOU think of it, its still something Incan has already talked about
ah,mwell if its been discussed before then thats that
Most conversations here are repeats of previous conversations
yeah
Hm. Pain.

you mean that it's Pain-peko
me honestly
i beg for the freedom of empty head
all thoughts, head jumbled
mood
yea the blurb is pretty good
gives u the right general vibe
plus the video that dude made for it is great

What would the commoner in the 41st millennium eat on a regular day
Assuming they are in a position similar to all of us chatting in here
Would they just eat burgers as normally as we do or?
I'm trying to get some inspirations 😄
nothing but amasec
a what now
So you're saying I should make a cake with beer in it
By commoner do you mean lower or middle class ?
hm, I mean I'd like to know both
Well the lower class is usually the one feeding on rations by the state, rats or their equivalent on the planet, corpse starch like aforementionned.
Middle class actually get to eat stuff pretty similar to us, they get to eat crops products, drink some amasec, have some recaff
Sometimes meat aswell
tfw no grox tendies
it entirely deoends on the planet
What does the imperium's middle class do lol
Have semi successful business ventures?
Tile roofs after work and on weekends?
Organize pottery classes
the existence and nature of a middle class would depend on the world
Live in a semi detached house with a lawn
Nah they still live in huge buildings
Work in a callcenter but being a bit of a penny turner so you can save for I don't know a gravcar
Its an appartment but atleast youve got a rooth and warmtg
I think it's fascinating though
thats only if the planet has a hive zherlum
could be a garden world or something which just has little picturesque villages
Neat
Right but since he said the average citizen and most of humanity lives in hive cities I thought thatd be the most fair assesment
Drinking corpse cider on the village green
Corpse starch makes literally no goddamn sense, except as a way to make things extra dark. :V
Pretty much.
Like you can make a lot easier alternatives for consumption while still keeping the options shitty.
The combine are LEAGUES ahead of the imperium on that department
Most of humanity live on "civilised world" type of worlds though... Hive worlds are 10% of all the imperium worlds iirc
Oh crap, i may have forgot to turn off the ping
10% of all the imperium worlds yes
But they are by far the most populated ones
Since they are literally human farms for the Imperium
So I wouldnt be surprised if alone they contained alteast 40% of humanity
From the 10% to the 25%... They may not be a small number after all
Estimated 32380 hive worlds in the imperium...
thats not a lot
Hive worlds probably contain more than 99% of humanity.
Ok that i didn't expected coherency for such lore, but FFS GW
And to think some people still say GW knows numbers when it comes to this lol
GW does not know numbers.

smoll empire
considering the imperium's "borders" are the entirety of the milky way galaxy that is quite the number : )
The official diagram of a hive city is a narrow spire jutting out of the ground, which is described as being 10 miles tall and 50 miles wide in spite of them having apparently gotten the "tall" and "wide" swapped.
Yup, something isn't right, both of those info cannot be right
its because the entire hive isnt part if the spires
darktide trailer does a good job of showing this
That's what artists have done to fix it, Skeleton
central spite is massive, but the urban sprawl is even bigger
Also, it seems that there are hive worlds that have around 1.000.000.000 population... Which should be like a billion?
The official diagrams show an absence of sprawl, and point to parts INSIDE the spire as being the sprawl. The older art actually depicts them like this a few times.
that looks cool as fuck, but the logistics sure are 40k
We should also remember that while the imperium claim that he has all that territory under its control it is in reality worse than a swiss cheese (the one with holes)... We have chaos worlds in the segmentum solar FFS
Oh yeah absolutely
- we know a hive world is made of multiple hive city clusters, each composed of 3 to 12 hive cities
Necromunda has 1000 hive clusters
Careful
theres actually a planet like that
No, there's plenty of metal.
Ah, here it is, fenksworld... In the calixis sector, an hive world with 1,000,000,000 population
That would make Alaska seem choked with life.
That would make the GOBI seem overpopulated
Like if you build a proper hive city you can fit a billion people in it just fine
Its all about utilizing your space
Arcology continents arent undoable
Just hard
Arcologies have to produce their own food because it's logistically impossible to supply them from outside.
Guess what hive planets canonically don't do? :V
Its 40k
So many people turned into soilent green solves at least part of the ossue
Issue*
That doesn't solve any issues, it just makes larger ones.
In a "perfect" setup, everyone has a vegetable garden with their home as well
But yeah before this gets fucky I'm just gonna say:
The population is as much as the plot demands
GW is stupid cant can literally count beyond "billion"
Yes
hive planets produce food tho
1: Where?
they have aquatic cultures
They have their own cultures inside
thry just grow food
I haven't seen any mention of that.
Sadly thats not enough to feed everybody
It's logically required, but that has never stopped GW
Well we do know that Agri Worlds exist to sustain hive cities
These are exactly the values used by americans and english
A billion is a number with two distinct definitions:
1,000,000,000, i.e. one thousand million, or 109 (ten to the ninth power), as defined on the short scale. This is now the meaning in both British and American English. 1,000,000,000,000, i.e. one million million, or 1012 (ten to the twelfth power), as defined on the long scale. This is one thousand times larger than the short scale billion, and equivalent to the short scale trillion. This is the historical meaning in English and the current use in many non-English-speaking countries where billion and trillion 1018 (ten to the eighteenth power) maintain their long scale definitions.
Its mentioned in a few books, off the top of my head i know atleast ciaphas brings it up and i'm pretty sure some of the necromunda maps are old overgrown aqua farms
but yes, agriworlds are the more viable way to sustain stuff
Well, not really, they exist because they are worlds with extreme fertile soil, and so they have been turned to giant farms... Then, since they produce food in huge quantity they send that food to planets that have to import food, and the hive worlds are at the top of the list of such worlds
Okay sorry but
"Its logically required but that doesnt stop gw" you can make assumptions dude
