The warp rots ye brain
so heresy invites the warp in your brain?
im genuinely curious bc i think heretics are interesting but half the time they look like such numbskulls
Wait is "10110" supposed to form the whole sentence? Lmao
I think it's just shorthand indicating he's talking in binaric?
That would make way more sense
It's always different, but the pattern follows that opening your mind/heart/whatever to chaos has a mind altering effect
But how is the khorne dude supposed to understand him tho
I'm not sure he does
Good point
Seeing as he isn't speaking in blood/anger
Yeee its why like you cant be a normal person while still worshipping chaos
that crack is gonna get into your head!
Ye it's bad medicine
the traitor regiment were all former gamers
lol
we must analyze their posture in the trailer
Is it true that GW has funded a project by the Astartes group?
Wasn't astartes made by just one guy?
Where did you guys hear that?
yes
ask the magic conch shell
The Magic Conch. It says "no"
I do not own the rights to this video. Spongebob Squarepants is owned by Viacom.
in all seriousness no ideo
The 9e trailer was so representative of GW rn.
Also, what the fuck
Ultramarines, Our Martyred Lady, and Cadian guardsmen
He climb up it and did that while it was distracted
When he didnt have any support, he actually ran
That doesn't make it any better
I had my reservation about that comic from the start, but with each now bit that i meet i can say it is garbage
ive read the whole thing. i rather liked it
I know, we had some discussion about it
you dont pull the head off a daemon engine of khorne
welp
aparently we do now
just stealthily climb it in your 1 ton armour
without being noticed
and simply pry its head clean off
the art is good, the depictions are nice
but.... yknow.... the actual comics are questionable
Modern writing, all style and no substance.
40k is british anime. and anime things happen
no, wallace and gromit is british anime
Wallace and gromit are amazing
yes
How usable defence does a wall of psychic energy provides? Just asking as in Dawn of War - Winter Assault there is such a wall surrounding a titan which is being digged up by Imperial forces.
it can project a near solid defence
just takes a lot of psychic energy
usualy best powered by a choir of astropaths
There are sort of "spires" along the wall where there are chained psykers if I remember it correctly
mhmm
I love the Imperial Guard ending to that
don't make me post the elf hate meme
"I hate elves" is latin for "I'm really lonely"
Bah, Ork ending is the canon one
Nobody hates elves more than other, slightly different elves
The Calgar comic is an in-universe comic distributed as propaganda. Change my mind
Knowing Warhammer there must be Propaganda Comics about the Primarch
Imagine the immense pressure put upon the artist to craft a faithful depiction of the primarchs
The pun was not intended but it pleases me
Lorgar laughing in the corner
Everyoneâs going âEFBERVBHRVJSIVNRJVRVNVEVNJEJ ULTRAMARINE MAN CANâT RIP HEAD OF BIG ROBOT!?!?!?â and Iâm just over accepting the fact a Chapter Master of the Ultramarines could just sorta do that because Iâve submitted to the fact that this franchise is kinda stupid and thatâs why Iâm here.

Blood Angels
you sir/ma'am are into goth women
the fastest edit in the west
Chem Dogs
yee haw
I also am into Space Vampires
đș with a side of wolf boyz
I'm building them as my first ever army
Consecrators
your either a furry or really into vikings, or both
you have good taste!

I dont know who that is
they are a guard regiment
im glad they got acknowledged and got primaris reinforcements too tbh
you are the guy who can never catch a break, even though you try your hardest
Love them for it. I can't lie when I say I am a bit of a noblebright person. They seem like true heroes who sadly have to suffer for it.
Also a fan of the imperial fists
Astral Knights would be cool if they weren't doomed since the World Engine.
"I just like buildin shit" - Rogal Dorn
What is the flaw in the Imperial Fists again?
they cant spit acid?
I think?
and also theyre gene seed is fucked so they take dudes from successor chapters
So they can't spit acid, have to adopt, and have a masochism streak?
blood ravens because i was introduced to 40k by DoW1
Loyalist: Iâd say Salamanders, and maybe Dark Angels.
Traitor: I dunno, Emperorâs Children for the Noise Marines probably or Thousands Suns for their Egyptian look and possible tragic innocence
I JUST WANNA PLAY THE RED DEAD 2 BUILDING THEME AND DEFEND MY HOUSE MAN
AYYY MY FELLOW KLEPTO
they're cool and angelos can fucking jump in termie armor
Dark Angels come from the fact I played Deathwing and theyâre the most Ultramarine-y without being Ultramarines, and Salamanders for the lore.
looting relic weapons in dow2 never been so realistic to chapter's kleptomania
I also really liked the Tome Keepers chapter that came out in White Dwarf a bit ago. I like the idea of a bunch of warrior scholars who try to keep a non-propaganda recording of history.
Imperial fist don't have the spit acid implant and the one that let them go into coma, they still can recruit normally
Ah ok.
Khornes boys are always gonna be my favorite traitor faction
wow
Reminds me of a scene from Animatrix
that's cool
Kreig death riders are pretty neat
best books to read?
ahh
well, pretty much everything from teh horus heresy is space marines
i'm a bit more unsure of current timeline stuff though
yeah was looking for something more recent.
i'm afrid i'm not much help at that point
There is also Mechanicum and Imperial Army vs Traitor Army
still feels like the majority is space marines
oh yeah
right
that lil knight story
i forgot about that
it was pretty alright
For the lore? Master of Mankind, Mechanicum, Prospero burns.
wouldnt those be incredibly confusing without any context
most of the HH books are stand alone pmuch
id honestly suggest only the first 3 tho
Horus rising I find to be a very enjoyable read. also brings a lot of the humanity. which at the end of the day kinda was the downfall of the primarchs.. when you exclude FUCKING LORGAR.
For a heretical approach. I recommend most of the books from Aaron Dembski bowden. Just dont read his stuff about loyalists... as he seems to have quite the hate boner for em.
Granted the way I view most of these books is as high propaganda for each spesific faction in focus. Thus a book about the heretics, will paint them in a better light.
i'd recommend some other stuff as well but he's requested specifically marines so thats about where it ends for me
The soul drinkers series is.. odd but good.
Talon of horus, if you want failbaddon the armless. to actualy be a bit cool for once.
You want marines to be fuck yeah?
Helsreach, Aaron Dempski Bowden. Betrayer, Aaron Dempski Bowden.
If you want more bolter porn, Guy Haleyâs stuff is good.
That said, most of my intake is audible.
Battle for the abyss turns into ||die hard||, which I really enjoyed
We all know C.S. Goto is the undisputed Lord Supreme Author out there
đ©
Are there 40k books not revolving around war? Murder mysteries, dramas, and other stuff? I knownits a weird thing to say about 40k but space marines shooting at things gets boring
^
there was a set of detective stories at one point
i can't recall what they were called
also ravenor is kind of a continuation of eisenhorn
If you go to the black library website they have started sectioning it into categories
its pretty much brand new but this exists
i mean, its a sequal so yeah
I cant remember which one it is but one of the first books is hyper omega boring I remember
book 4 most likely, flight of the eisenstein
i liked FotE but it is slower
im up thru book 11 or 12? and theres been a couple duds but its been enjoyable thus far
honestly fulgrim was 75% snoozefest, 25% awesome for me
the stuff that i liked i really liked, but the rest of it was kind of slow and boring
i honestly have read the first 5
id probably rate it the lowest of the ones ive read
and i just have no interest after part 3
legion gets memed for "i am alpharius" but i unabashedly love it
and mechanicum was a wild ride from start to finish
id say fulgrim and the 1st dark angels books were the worst so far, the rest i enjoyed for the most part
tho i do the audiobook, so my scale may be different than others simply by nature of it being something i enjoy while doing something else
ork chaplain
That's.... A lot of blue
blues lucky, innit
You aren't gonna score Headshots on these boyz
the boy at the center is wielding a... plasma bazooka?
actually, its a zoggin big shoota is what it is
i think thier facepaint inspired a little from braveheart
thats a dangeros comparison to make
oh god this reminds me of cyberpunk
you meet a guy who has a grenade for a nose and hes like "hey it'll go off one day, ill have to life my day the best i can until then"
most orky thing ever
i heared you could trun yourself into a furry in cyberpunk
i like that guy, i didnt punch his nose during the brawl
Firstly, gross but sadly yes.
Secondly, yep in-lore people have turned themselves into antromorphic stuff and even fantasy races like elves and orcs as a fashion statement.
lol
which is really realistic memes aside
yes it is
yeah in cyberpunk, people are encouraged to be what they want
they always do
thats transhumanism ina nutshell
like
if im not mistaken that was just for that one planet in a book wasnt it?
yes it was
but unfortunatley GW have gone full meme on most lore
ever read the infantrymans uplifting primer?
its the worst cause
people will say IG arent allowed to know anything about their enemies or they get shot
then quote primer for rules on what can get u shot by a commissar
some of the parts in that primer were really terrible yeah
but primer actualy gives guardsmen info on all the races
not 100% accurate info but it straight mentions necrons and chaos
afaik its only chaos they arent allowed to know about
Yeee and even then it changes from person to person and regiment to regiment
xenos arent something they keep hidden
If i knew about chaos after gettign transferred to a new regiment i sure as hell wouldnt tell anyone shit
you'd get the looks etc
yeah
so its a hard spot nonetheless
makes you wonder what the cadians did when they where aiding non cadians
regiments tend not to intermix
and if they do they have more important things to discuss
like getting wasted or finding a brothel
oh i thought some divisions of different regiments would end up fighting in the same zones at times
They sometimes do but its pretty rare or its because they need different expertise
just because they fight in the same zone doesn't mean the troops will actualy mix
there tends to be inter regimental rivalry
yup
Regiments are know to fight each other but also make strong bonds... It is also know for regiments to share their POV with other regiments, especially if they fight in the same zone
so just like today's collition armies lol
This is so dumb that fall under the universal law of "dumb lore isn't canon"
Other than the life expectancy on the frontline the rest is right though
How the hell GW think that the guard can do something if its soldiers die within a single day at the frontline is over dumb even by their standard
i mean
the guard is over 1 trillion strong iirc
which billions apon billions more it can recruit from
also, remember that most weapons in 40k tear through 2/3 enemies at once
it makes sense due to the agressive scale
also, remember that its an AVERAGE
so, if a single front loses like, 50 million men, all within a few minutes of deployment
yaknow... its the same as your grades, they drop*
50 million isnt alot when you think about the size of the imperial guard
hell thats less than the death toll of WW2
barely
still
Also WW2 was 4 years of combat
You got it right as you always do Blank
ill follow this notion
well he follows the imperial truth so ofc he gets it right

yo why the fuck the sisters of battle THAT thick?
wut
you heard me
Most early models sucked
yes
and some of the more elite SoB may be genemodded a little
kinda like how some IG elites are
They could handle my heavy bolter IF YOU CATCH MUH DRIFT
shhh you
too kill heritics and greenskins of course
ofc
wait what were you thinking?
nothing
Probably should try to smash something other than the Adepta Sororitas
considering one could probably crush you with her thighs
PROMISE?
Begone heretic >:(
All im saying is, there is not a more just way to die
high fives all around at my funeral, my ghost is gonna be crip walking on my dreadnaught
TWINS THEY WERE
:(
so i just thought of something
what if one of the hereteks made a cannon that fired shells that could warp jump
so they could just bombard any world they wanted to from the warp
kind of unreliable, since you need a clear path through the warp and that doesnt exist
a navigator or warp seer is used with a reason for ships
even on a chaos ship?
Chaos is guided by... chaos!
There are some phase missiles though, but they are extremely rare and as now the imperium isn't capable to make them iirc
itd be more useable by the worshippers of chaos
On chaos ships the navigator is a possessed guy or even a demon itself
their god or a greater/larger demon could possibly sway the missile
i said heretek
thats a chaos tech priest
but again its very unlikely that itll be acurrate
im awarte
im including them in the thinking
yeah but i doubt they would care
the only reason chaos ships can go where they need to is because of their demonized navigator indeed
they wouldnt but if they were for example exmployed by the iron fuckbois
well then youre in the situation that they dont want it to be a useless weapon
its not a bad idea, but unlike hyperspace torpedoes, this one has to travel through a maze instead
thats what i was thinking
its just crazy enough to work so idk why they havent built one yet
well ofc
maybe they have and it failed compleatly

To put things under spoiler just use || before and after the phrase
Or just select the phrase and a pop up menu should appear
|| like this ||
Yep
Oh man thatâs great
And yes, what a f-ing reveal
|| Thank you. ||
And what about the other stuff that come with that revelation?
That army! F yes!
Eh, that part wasn't important to me... Astartes are tools
Worth the nine year wait
Weâre talking traitor and loyalist elements
Itâs just mind boggling
so most imperial ships have these stainglass windows from what i have seen
i wonder if you can see the demons of the warp thru them
In the Battlefleet Gothic PC games there is a cutscene about warp travell during a warp storm. It shows shutters coming down over the windows as the ship prepares to enter the warp. This implies that it is possible to see deamons through these windows and therefore ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED.
i wonder how many chaples are in one imperial battleship
yes
well there are probably the ones that the captain knows about
then there will be the informal ones
then the secret ones
then the REALLY secret ones
then that last one all the way in the bottom of the hold that acts like a hive gang but the bridge doesn't even know they exist
and finnaly the chaos cult with like, 3 members in the engine room. All they do is have coffee mornigs and complain about techpriests
i really want an animation that really goes into an indept look at one of those ships
yeah
i really love how most of these ships are literal flying hive citys
with the captian and the upper class officers living at the top and the lowist levels being in a near state of anrchy mostly
yup. pretty much.
when the ship goes to warp, I wonder how much of the ship actually knows
the captian the navigator and the helmsman knows
the upper officers maybe know something
hopefully someone remembers to get the gellar field up and running
the rest of the crew knows nothing
I think as much of the crew as possible is warned
People could probably tell just from the shuddering and shaking of the ancient machines maintained only through ritual.
but that may or may not be much
well they are kinda hecc'd if they find out what is beyond the gellar fields
plus with the way the warp distorts time for most of the crew it could seems like only a few mins
or a few decades
yup
and if they have recently irritated Magnus, then a few millenia
each time you go to warp you are playing russian roulet
pretty much
each time u exist in the Warhammer 40,000 universe u are playing russian roulete on all levels
even the most safe position could suddenly have a chaos cult manage to summon a deamon or a genestealer cult summon a hive fleet, or dark eldar could dark eldar you. or a passing deamon in the warp could realise you are a psyker before you do or the local and somewhat heretical noble could just take ur head off out of boredom
you could go to fire a weapon like this and bring down a titan onyl to have it blow up cuz you didnt sing to the mechine spirit well enough
singing maintainance ritual
voice craks
core shielding ALSO CRAKS
your internal organs: aight bye
this wouldnt be too far off from what actually happens lol
It would be because someone else wasnât singing well enough
yup
coz like, the adeptus mechanicus blast binary hymns when they work
tbh
Nah. They blast romantic poetry
that meme is about what a real volcanio cannon would look like when it fired
just a massive beam of blinding light
and the gorkanought is no more
is there an actual story to it?
Yeah? the entirety of helsreach?
i have never heared of that lol
Check youtube
12 part series iirc
grit story animation
visuals are lower than youd expect from this amount of production, but its real good
its 13

People on ships know when they are going into the warp, it was shown in gaunt's ghosts... When the jump is made it can be felt... And yes, it is said to the people to start praying very hard... With priests that patrol the corridors and rooms, to keep an eye on weird stuff but more to give spiritual support to people, since the feeling is always weird... Then there are the arbites, which increase their patrols too... And even commissars... It is a really serious thing...
Regarding the windows yes, you are capable to gaze upon the warp, but unless you are extremely strong by will you will go crazy... And yes, you can see the entities too... That is why windows have shunners... But there are also some windows that are shielded so that you can see the warp without going crazy too
most windows are shut bar the navigatorium as a precaution on ships
as a navigator will look with his 3rd eye and is therefor "safe" from the side effects
Yeah, it is no joke, and it is something that everyone can feel... It is also how some latent psykers are found and executed... They go more mad than normal in the first jump, they get a bullet in the head
the jump tends to be like a general sense of unease similair to vertigo in mild cases, you can also get used to it over time as u participate in more jumps but everyones first jump is usualy a less pleasant experience
are all warpjumps this bad?
Nope, this is also a quite good one
only the ones that go well
In others you had to shoot demons that materialize for a sec...

In others you may have people going crazy
this is just the initial breach into the immaterial. windows stay closed ofc but once travel is underway it "smooths" out usualy
Navy armsman are quite experienced
similair to how initial take off in a plane has that general rumbling and that movement you can feel
Ah alright so its like a plane taking off but with more demonic influence
lmao jinx
Sometime, when it is a troop transport for the IG, regiments have to be put to use to repel some intruder too
what we described was a standard jump, but it can be more severe as blank has said
oh jeez
It is also a way to get blanks... While normally you feel bad in their presence you really want to be at their side when warp jumping
you could jump and overload the geller field for a split second, but that second is enough for a demon to manifest on the bridge
ofc you have trained personel for dealing with it
And once it is manifest it need bullets to go away
and full manifestations are rare
Yeah, mostly are like faint ghost, though they still get shooted
but its enough of an issue that any veteran has dealt with it at some point
It is a really nice topic when explored, and as now Abnett take on it is the best imo
If terminator armor comes from an stc why is most of it astartes sized when the easiest to design and produce wouldve been ordinary human sized?
abnett does it well yeah
and uhh
ciaphas books do a good job
especially after they pick up that random girl in one of the books and they go over her first time ever off world
which i suppose is also another note, most people wont leave their home world for their entire lives
cause they dont realy need too
cause there is human equiv as well but people prefer to talk about sm
i mean fuck, its not unheard of for rogue traders to have human scale dreadnoughts
Yes I know but you'd think it would be more widely used atleast during the first crusade by entire human forces instead of just being personalized for special agents
well no cause its expensive to make and slow
instead they had void sealed carapace which is much better general purpose
many times warp travel is uneventful
its dangerous, but as long as the gellar shields are sealed, the ship is pretty much safe
If the ship is unfortunate to cross the path of a Deamonic Army on campagin the the great game can't that army also just overwhelm the gellar field for laughs?
The STC for Terminator armor is a "proper" standard template construct. It allows the product to be customized and sized to fit the wearer, and is already designed to be worn on-top of a hardened exosuit.
It's explicitly construction equipment for hazardous environments.
More specifically, it's intended for hard radiation and variable gravity fields, like you would get if you were attempting to repair a reactor while the grav plating was going wild.
That'd make a pretty bitchin VR game I'd bet
Stomping around near a massive reactor that's bleeding cherenkov as the grav plates swing back and forth between 10g to -6g while getting bodied by chunks of shattered bulkheads?
Actually, yeah, that would be fucking sick.
Sounds kinda like 40k + shipbreaker
I'd be down for that
Set it in DAoT so you can have an AI companion snarking at you the whole time, instead of a Mechanicus snarking at you the whole time.
Eh. DAoT is just more generic scifi. I want 40k
DAoT?
Dark Age of Technology
exactly
why not introduce us to the 2 lost primarchs as well
same reason im never rooting for gw to resurrect primarchs
I want Sanguinius back
and i want him to stay dead
There have been snippits of what the DAoT was like. Such as House Van Saar. The Spirit of Eternity. Etc.
Look, it's called the DAoT because people in setting don't know dick about it.
WE can know as much as we want.
We already know more about it than almost anybody, with the exception of Perpetuals, the Sperenza, and maybe a few things that are more exotic than that.
No*
Someones probably gonna give an answer but im sure they got a proper HQ at Terra iirc
The Fortress of the Inquisition is the Inquisitorial Fortress located on Terra.[1]
Acting as a de facto headquarters of the Inquisition, it is a sprawling complex built beneath the south polar ice caps. The Fortress, deep underground, is heavily warded and equipped with psyker dampening devices and null-fields. Only members of the Inquisition and sparse numbers of doomed prisoners are permitted to enter the underground complex. The Fortress is a vast and sprawling, with transportation provided by maglev transportation
So its a "Kinda Yes"
Yep, it is on terra, but it is just a formality
Yeee!
Exactly what Dilara wrote before me...

i see
also why is the inquisition's power structure and command system built so losely?
i'd also join but pathfinder session
To have a better response, if it was more centralized it would require a lot of time to respond to threats... Each inquisitor need to be able to act independently to act with rapidity...
best of luck blank
that makes sence
Have i become some sort of knowledge repository??
i would also assume it makes the inquisition very hard for its enemies to attack
Yes, but it also mean that it is hard for it to act as a single body... You have inquisitors that hunt others inquisitors, and most of the time it is because of personal grudges... There are even minor ordos which objective is to block and go against other minor ordos too
oof
Or ordo that simply no one know why they are made
Or ordo that should watch over other ordo
It is a f-ing mess
The worst and most hilarious part is they only answer to the Emperor
whos like uh... kinda fucking comatose
lol
Naturally though Custodes can still slap them around
That is, like many things with the inquisition, just a formality... They answer to the custodes too
Yeah they're the only living people they cant judge in the imperium
And they can answer to the high lords of terra too in some situations
Who they can kinda accuse with evidence
now i want to see a custodes pimp slap an inquisitor
Not the only one, the SoS are also the other one that no one can judge, only try to limit
Remember, only two type of people can walk freely the imperial palace, the custodes and the SoS, all other need permission and will be watched over...
arent the custodes kinda like the jedi temple guards?
The thing with SoS is that they get along only with custodes, so it is rare that they will ever confront an inquisitor... And if they do it is not for chat most of the time
being able to just become part of the background of the palace
I'm not well versed on star wars lore
Pretty much but imagine if the jedi temple guard also had big ass guns that are pinpoint-accurate and blow you to pieces.
the temple guard are jedi that have sworn to defend the jedi temple
No, custodes can do assassination, but they will not do that in their armour... They can pass for statues though yes
they forsake their names their voices and their faces
Since the custodes can stand guard for long periods of time
and they wear armor that looks like the walls of the temple
so they will stand ike a statue and blend in compleatly to the temple walls
It is true that the custodes that you see around are just a fraction of all of them, but that is more because the rest in in secret places around the palace
iirc there was like 3k of them at the start of the crusade
No one, with the exception of the emperor, know how many of them there are... And no one ever asked that to the captain-general and got an answer
This, and they are still actively recruiting when the time calls for it
It was stated that they were around 10K most of the time
oh
With the early appearance of them stating they were 10 giants with armours of gold in the early unification war iirc
And with some recent spoiler, well, lets say that something interesting is gonna happen
crawl relveals the custodes 2.0 đ
Nah, he didn't get access to their production template... Otherwise the primaris would have been immortal, like the custodes are...
Immortal in the sense that they cannot die from age
well not just in that sence
i watched a video on them once and it said one of the custodes had his head smashed open and still didnt die
It is also interesting to note that custodes seems to have an aura that somewhat repel chaos stuff and "heal" normal humans... At least that is what i understood from an excerpt of gate of bones
The Imperial House is one of the few factions nobody fucks with in the Imperium, even when the law says otherwise.
Custodes at minimum have 10k members since they're called the Ten Thousand
That doesn't actually mean anything.
The Imperial House?
See: Hundred Years War.
It is how it is called the emperor "faction"
Oh!
Im pretty sure it does
they still actively recruit people as their codex makes clear, which answers a lot of questions from the past about "do they even take recruits anymore/do they just die off" etc
Oh, no, I meant the fact that they're called "The Ten Thousand"
The thing I think is funniest about Custodians is that Roboute Guilliman can only request their help, they don't answer to him
Yep, iirc it goes
Ask the Captain General > He'll tell the other custodes Robot-G is cool
They could be lying about it so people think they have more than they do, OR lying about it so people think there are fewer than there are.
Maybe they're called the ten thousand cuz they sat on their asses for that many years
We know they actively do both
That was their name even in the great crusade era
Lol damn
It is just their title
Thought I was on to something there
It didn't help Constantin fucked off shortly after the Emperor was put into the Throne
They can be more than 10K
Around the same time russ go away tbh
Yea
These ARE the people who 1: When they get too old to serve retire to become the Eyes of the Emperor, and 2: Explicitly are immune to all forms of aging.
I like how they try to make up for that by going "Uhhh you see they did send some spy custodes out to probe the galaxy once in awhile"
But tbh quoting the TTS Emperor "You guys have the best gear in the entirety of the Imperium and all you did was lube each other and do fuck all for a few thousand years."
It is not they get too old, it is when they feel aren't on their prime anymore
It is subjective
Not necessarily from old age. If you lose even a fraction of a second of reaction time or require bionics, they retire
"The future is now old man."
basically
"But we're the same age."
"I dont make the rules."
The future is: now old man
It is not even something that is forced, each custodes decide when nail its armour
They even get their armor personalized to best fit their exact needs
Yup
Not like they got anything better to do
The Custodes have been explicitly doing skunkworks continuously since they were first made, and have been working on repairing the Golden Throne and restoring the Emperor.
Their ceremonial daggers, the Misericordia, are also uniquely balanced and fitted to that Custodian's personal grip
bruh
It isn't a dagger iirc, it is a short sword...
Also its name is mercy in latin iirc
Even before RG came back, they were in-lore "never leaving the Imperial Palace" because that was a useful cover since nobody could tell if one of them went off world.
To them it's a dagger. To us it's an arming sword
"Nah bro we were totally sending bros off world to help all this time"
aye. It's used as a coup-de-grace in battle, and each Custodian can choose if he ever wants to use it or not
Or wear it
Yeee Constantin uses his to execute that thunder-boi iirc
Not only that, but that mean that who have it have the right to decide life and death of others
aye
Still funny that the newest Custodian technically outranks Roboute
Okay reading it
dumb question
The Misericordias resembles a knives that are filigreed with gold and theldrite, their hilts moulded to the owner's unique grip and their blades imbued with micromolecular dissonator spirits that allow them to slice through the thickest armour as though it is just sheet of paper.
a... what spirit now?

That right there is what we refer to as "Mumbojumbo"
Oh yeah i know that much
i meant as in is it a special machine spirit or something?
So hey question might be dumb but seeing space marines need geneseed to make more but I dont think they can make more (unless I'm wrong) isnt geneseed a finite resource?
I imagine it is something that vibrates at molecular level that help with armour, similar to some blades of the Ad. Mech. but better
Geneseed is cultured inside a space marine, one instance is harvested after a while and the second is harvested at death (hopefully)
So a marine is a constant source of gene seed?
It's the apothecary's main job to collect the gene seed of a fallen brother
No, just two instances
So then riddle me this
One SM can at most provide geneseed for two bros
Say a chapter like the excorists the ones who require their marines become a deamon host at a time wouldnt that kinds ruin it?
That is one way to produce geneseed, the other is to vat grown it, but it take more time
IIRC they implant the geneseed after the possession
I read that it was the requirement from Scout to normal marine brother
In 40k the rules are made up and the points don't matter
If they have marines and get new ones, they're fine Keyes
Except they actually were. They've shown up in books before.
The thing about the effects of stuff in 40k is it works to the author's favor
Grrr I want to brand them as heritics
Calm down there, Inquisitor
They have their permission that's how they get rid of the deamons
They ask the demons nicely to leave the geneseed alone
Indeed. Just file a complaint to Ordos Hereticus and Malleus and they'll get back to you within one signing of an Exterminatus
They were created by the ordo malleus, why should they be heretics? You want heretics? Look for the chaos warband made by a renegade cardinal with some of their recruit
GW is saying in a upcoming white dwarf they are sons of dorn and I reject it
Look it up valarak did a vid on it
Yup, he seemed not happy about it
I am not happy that a chapter who makes their people deamon hosts it's in with dorns boys
Unknown primarch sure grey knights all for it
TBF they do that to get better at killing demons
If it was that good then why dont the grey knights do it then?
Speaking of Valarak, I think he's the guy I watched that talked about ||the return of Constantin Valdor||
Oh come on, the thing that they come from dorn genes doesn't mean anything, you have SM that are from guillman pool but shit on its codex and on the ultramarines
Probably, he also did a video on that, also maybe spiler a part of your phrase, not everyone like spoliers
Even the smurfs children dont do deamon worship
It is not demon worship, not even close
Close enough in my eyes they summon a deamon and have it possess someone
Sorry, my bad
Also yes, there are some SM, that have been declared renegades, that actively use demons
But these guys are loyal that's my problem
There are Inquisitors that actively use daemonhosts
They invite a demon to possess them, then they get it casted out by a demon hunter... I understand that it may be seen as... weird, it has its uses
They literally bind daemons in scripture too
I see
Why?
Did you know about the illuminati?
Your complaints should also apply to the Inquisition
Or that there are some people that managed to cast away demons that possessed them?
Remember, SM are tools, weapons if you prefer
Tbh exorcists are still stupid
if i read what they were as a chapter as a high lord
id be like
"Uhh... can we exterminate these guys."

Thank you
Regardless of their reasons, letting themselves be hosts out of their own will makes it heretical. Even if it's temporarily.
Ok that high lords don't are really smart, but why should they be angered of one thing that they helped create?
This is how some puritan inquisitors could see it
See the thing about Heresy is that it only applies if it doesn't benefit the Inquisition
Also the exorcist use only minor warp entities for their "possessions"
And it is done only under the greatest security measures
I'm not trying to justify them, but to think they are heretics, when they are more victim that everything else isn't optimal
So these minor warp entities could be warp servants of the emperor? Nevermind, it doesn't make sense if it was.
There explicitly ARE warp entities in the service of the Emperor.
The entire Legion of the Damned, and all the Imperial Saints, for example.
And if some info, that i haven't yet being confirmed, are true then there are more literal emperor's demons...
Well in the webway battle
When E was walking
He did summon a army of deamons
Who apparently looked alot like the legion of the damned
It's also possible that Drakn'yen is a Daemon of the Emperor, but that could be a reach.
the emperor is the chaos god of faith
He's not a chaos god of anything. Yet.
Keyes, i just realized that you profile image is a custodes... That explain why you dislike so much the primaris and the exorcirst
the more souls he consumes, the more powerful he becomes
The more souls he consumes, the more insane he becomes.
With great power comes great insanity. ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
A great stretch NGL, since drac'ien tried to kill the emperor in the webaway, and nearly succeded
That's not the part that's a stretch, though.
Chaos beings are their own worst enemies. Sometimes literally
Maybe the part when it is the sword of abaddon then
How many times has Tzneech been dead because of his own plots?
Also wasnt drach'nyen from the first murder of Abel?
Yup
nice
It has several backstories.
One of them, which is almost definitely no longer canon, is the Emperor killing his father.
If he even has a father. The Emperor's canon is fragmented.
I mean this is the first time i hear "he murdered his father thing" so i dont know.
And Big E isnt really fragmented.
that was mortarion not big e
Its either the shaman thing or just "i dunno he just popped up."
why would big e murder dadE
Did I get confused? That's possible.
@barren tapir your correct on why my pfp is a custodes
~~Dad E is a great name for his father btw ngl ~~
DAMN IT
the entire familE
stAPH
make mE
but yeah jokes aside, im digging up some master of mankind stuff
He paused for a moment, following Raâs gaze back to the noisy villagers. âThe very first murder was also a fratricide,â he said without emotion. âThousands of years before this, when men and women still owed as much to apes as to the form we know now. But it is curious to me â brothers have always killed
brothers. I wonder why that is? Some evolutionary flaw, some ingrained emotional fragility written into mankindâs core, perhaps.â
oof
angy. we just angy
thats why
Nice
Also deep as f that passage
Yeee it is
Mom Everest!
NO!
forget this ever happened please and thank you
but yeah its why i find "lol Big E is a bad person" thing a really hipster take
Agree
Like as sad as it is, you cant make anything without anyone opposing you
i dIsAgReE
thats either through words, actions or hell in Big E's case straight up being like "lol you arent the master of mankind, i prefer terra as a mad max shithole"
bro I'm loyalist!
Loyal to what?
The Imperium
Good enough
thank you

Order and discipline have been re-established in this important channel
I'll let the Xeno pass because I think we are still allied with the Ynnari and maybe the craftwords idk
Ynnari only soldier
ah ok. The Craftworlds are still trying to make their minds up about what to do about the fact that chaos still exists aren't they?
They are still trying to figure out how to get the dark eldar to rehab
They're waiting for some tabletop models
Does anybody else think Exodites give Slaanesh indigestion?
They're technically Eldar, so Slaanesh HAS to take them, but they've been building up the armor of contempt against Slaanesh specifically since before the murderfucking that birthed Slaanesh even started.
Well their spirits dont go to the warp so im not sure
They have soulstones.
Some of them still wind up getting nommed, though, since this IS 40k
So the question remains :V
Anyone that is not a Dark Eldar has soulstones so all their souls are harvested on that even exodites.
I believe Harlequins don't need those since their souls are protected by Cegorath
The exodites link their souls to their planets I'm pretty sure.
think the Dark eldar have ways around being nommed too
Well their way is to do Slaneesh stuff to stop the nomming

KROOT CHAD
However, when Grekh saw me working on my notes, he assured me that felinids not only exist but are the form of humans he most respects.
Grekh loves his catgirls.
lmao
Okay xenologis is already amazing. doesn't matter what else comes out with it.
From the excerpt I'm reading it seems pretty tongue-in-cheek which is great
tbh this comment below sums it up kinda nicely
Its just a small mention among a dozen other types of previously mentioned abhumans. It doesnât really mean anything, in my opinion. Its just the community that cares about the cat people. No one ever mentions the water ogryns or the tree people, both of which also get mentions in this new book.
That said, its pretty funny them coming up again, if only to see peopleâs reactions. I doubt weâll see much more than this though.
....Jesus Christ, that thing is most DEFINITELY a Tyranid.
