Xenos are used only as slaves and fodder, they're not allowed to have any meaningful rank or ownership of anything
Mutants are a bit overlooked but still get more freedom than xenos. Mutant Astartes are also looked down upon most and kept as average battle brother
Possessed are even worse. Some might not care for them, a few see it as absolute status of power but the majority don't like it and keep possessed as specialized tools and not actual individuals for trust of anything less than a mission

There are few exceptions, like the main executioner for the warband leader being a possessed marine who used to be close friends with the leader

It mostly depends- if they lost because of incompetent amongst the ranks, the entire company is getting punished
If they just got outsmarted or outperformanced then they will just try again later or find a way to destroy rather than succeed at conquering

They are always strategical, they don't go for "waagh" shit unless they gotta improvise some times
Big in numbers but use cohesion and tactical logistics rather than horde, unless its the necessary strategy

The only grand company to constantly deploy overwhelming numbers over strategy are the ones filled with the "wartorns" which are the mutants, possessed or insane marines

Their best most used strategy is just average siege/battle of attrition. Invade, whatever territory they can get their hands in the first deployment, they fortify and slowly advance to grind the enemy down
If the enemy is weaker that siege is unnecessary, shock troops are deployed into the main outposts, destroy anything and leave the mortals to clean the remaining resistance

They do some times engage in other type of strategies (hit-and-runs, scare tactics, even chemical warfare) but only if necessary but their main preferred-mostly used approach is always attrition battles and morale breaking sieges

Not all of them are into heavy vehicle/armored deployments but its welcome
