In rarer cases they might be given the chance for redemption, particularly the 'freedom fighters' who fought against the Tau occupation
But that's usually meaning they get thrown into a penal legion lol
Other cases might have the humans on the world be sifted through by the Ecclesiarchy and the Administratum then have those who passed the evaluations be reintegrated into the imperial society and made to wageslave in factorums or whatever, aka business as usual
