Tbf if there is a criticism for Nuclear Engineering, it's that human error can cause disasters.

This also goes for Oil tbf. Especially when explosion happens, but Nuclear factories CAN damage a wider area when a fuck up happens. However, it's also harder to fuck up. But never underestimate how negligent people can be

At the same time, again, oil causes more damage in a wider scale while nuclear energy is smaller.

I do believe that the best way is to basically delegate a bigger portion of our power to nuclear energy but not rely on it completely.

Basically, the reason why the Imperium hates nukes is because there's two criteria for what weapons are generally used.

They either want the planet intact to resettle or they want the planet gone.

Nukes are a weird inbetween. If you use them to go scorched Earth, it doesn't completely destroy the planet, and such won't deny territory to the enemy.

If you use them to try and bomb people. Then it'll take decades just to resettle and get the planet paying it's tithe again.

Also daemons aren't exactly affected by radiation poisoning.
