yeah that
the Iron Giant is a planet destroying superweapon
but in the end he sacrifices himself to save a planet
Peak
Based
Devastator genuinely burning graphics cards
Because of course, trying to make a coherent ""timeline""
Is a fools errand
Because there's basically multiple of em
I can’t imagine how much of a pain in the ass it was to animate them transforming
tbh my favorite Titanfall AI is Spyglass. Spyglass is the IMCs entire computational network personified. Operates entirely off of hard logic and tries to be nice, for a terrifying logisics and war AI
Each individual MOVING FUCKING piece
But there’s one Transformer who is superior among all of them
Genuinely I hate how they move.
It also makes the fight scenes a mess. It's a case where simplicity was probably the better way to go
The Michael Bay transformer movies have good choreography. Even the worst ones
The problem is that you can barely fucking see it
I love the 1986 movie so much
I find it fucking funny because the G1 show is literally just hijinks
And then suddenly
LOL
my man Prime really will help anyone 😭
"Yeah y'know how we treated those lasers like they're nerf darts? Well now Ironside is fucking dead."
"DIE AUTOBOTS"
I CAN HEAR THE VOICE
It's just a little pal nothing wrong with that
"Such Heroic nonsense..."
God that scene is horrific but Megatron committing warcrimes 2m into the movie is so good
BLAM
The funniest part is that the storyboard had the deaths be even more gruesome
Love Frank Welker
tbh I do wonder why Spyglass apologizes for abandoning all the IMC ground forces at demeter. Does it actually feel sorry and have a sense of comradery? or is it just trying to offer false comfort to the thousands of people it leaves to die lol
Y'know, for the kids

The wildest part is just the sudden change in tone in general
And there will be nothing like it again
Ever
The 1986 movie genuinely looks so good
https://fxtwitter.com/nerdyomniman/status/2028186815346417827?s=20 oh yeah it's March
I love classic animation so much
It's like if the Paw Patrol movie started with the Police Dog being fucking shot
It's both awesome
Morbid
And kinda funny
watching all of those transformers get digested alive
It has some obvious scale issues.
Unicron seems to change in size a lot.
But in general, the movie has pretty good animation
And also is basically an AMV with its ost
G1 has scale issues
In a good way
PRIMAL TOMORROW
Unicron idk why I said omnicron
Yeah it's why I didn't mind it
I mean look at this
Still funny though
Also is it weird that I kinda miss Megatron being an outright gun?
Like it makes sense to me
I don't like it still
It makes perfect sense
I took it as Spyglass trying to do the false comfort and keep them going longer but who knows
I'd kill to own one of the OG Megatron G1 transformers tbh. The nice one where he's chrome
but it is horrifying when he forces starscream to murder his friend with himself
A gun is a tool of violence. But it still needs somebody else to pull the trigger. Showing how Megatron needs his decepticons despite the frankly dysfunctional relationship they all have with each other.
I think a tank is a good replacement since it's under the same sort of like... thing.
The scene between Optimus and Megatron at the beginning of the movie with “You Got the Touvh” playing
3 grand btw
I also took it as that but the fact spyglass decides to physically get onto dropships and do briefings feels weird. Spyglass has always felt super weird tbh, it could just do it over comms but it decides to physically get on drop ships
niche chinese babies meme from tiktok as a visualizer
find me
https://www.wattpad.com/user/SheriffRedacted
#niche #meme #shortsmemes
Grimlock has stayed my favorite transformer throughout all my time knowing transformers
The first like 15 minutes of that movie genuinely go insane
Also the fact that it's literally a fucking Walter P-08.
Like they literally got Megatron turning into a fucking Luger
Hell, my first ever Gamertag on Xbox was DARK GRIM1OCK, yes I was an edgy 12 year old

I really like uh, lemme find it
He is totally not the bad guy clearly...
And nowadays the Grimm part of my name is there to remember the legend that became my fav
Then again G1's backstory for the decepticons is unique in that they were made to be military in the first place
Spyglass is very strange, robots in that setting generally seem to be considering some of them in Apex
I love Armada era Megatron
It's arguably the most interesting given that it could serve as commentary on how soldiers are left behind by their own government. Forgotten until they need a war to fight for.
But also they clearly didn't think that deeply about it
Since Megatron is painted as always being a complete and utter asshole
I like the origin Transformers One went with
But the Cybertron games were great too
Megatron being a gladiator, Orion Pax being a Librarian
tbh they are literally all sapient, which is kind of horrifying in a cosmic way that they're sentient and sapient but designed entierly for a single role
I think G1 Starscream is interesting due to the fact that most of his detractions are right
Like he's literally a scientist
Prime Starscream is the best Starscream and I won’t hear otherwise
But he always gets ignored for obvious reasons
Idk I'm a sucker for G1 Starscream
Like, Spyglass is sentient and sapient, but its been programmed to entirely serve as a strategist and logistics network and thats part of its baseline "needs"
Also admittedly it's always overshadowed by his uh
"coups"
"MEGATRON HAS FALLEN!"
"I, STARSCREAM, AM NOW YOUR NEW LEADER!"
"DECEPTICONS FOLLOW ME!!"
Megatron gets a cough
“MEGATRON CAN NO LONGER FUNCTION AS OUR LEADER 🗣️ 🔥”
This is such peak design
I love that visually he’s wearing colors usually seen as heroic, but he’s an absolute coward and snake
Not far off at all tbh
if this somehow becomes a short that's YouTube's doing not mine
all rights reserved to hasbro
clip from desertification of the dinobots pt1
Tbf he might just be smart
He’s smart, just a coward
Given that again, he is always right in how Megatron's plans can easily go wrong
That's also why he wants to overthrow him
Before its fall, did young Cadian recruits first serve on the planet's militia before joining the guard?
Because Megatron is kind of a dumbass
Now you know who would be terrifying in 40K?
Shockwave

as one person summarized him:
There’s Satan, then there’s Shockwave
yes
Whiteshields
Depending on the version he'd either be normal or Fabius Bile tier
Ty
Whiteshields are still a thing on all the random new cadias as well
but Whiteshields are cadian children/teens
Let’s be funny and say the IDW version
exclusively
Like IDW is the worst version
The one that amps his Psychopathy to the extreme
And is ironically kinda depressing if you think about it
Since he was originally somebody who was empathetic
...
Then he got fucking lobotomized
He basically became the exact opposite of what he once was
Going from somebody who was wise, kind, and empathetic
That’s an understatement
To "Satan weeps at the sight of Shockwave"
His entire head was ripped off no?
His hands as well yeah
Empurta moment
Tbf that isn't what actually lobotmized him
TFP Shockwave is my favorite visual design of him
It was the shadowplay
The Empurta was literally just kicking somebody while they were down
They made the damn scientist this absolute unit of a behemoth and made his alt mode a tank
Tbf Starscream was also a scientist in G1
You'd never think he was due to how he acts
But he is canonically a scientist
TFP was honestly such an amazing show
So many good adaptations of character
True
Cartoon Network it aired
I believe anyways
Also TFP was good
But it also replaced TFA which was cancelled
For TFP
And TFP did something amazing
...and then TFP got cancelled to
Actually good human characters
God fucking damnit Hazbro
Tbf both are good shows
But like
At least finish one man

Well TFP is finished at least
In a movie but still
Then it got a sequel series.
Robots in Disguise, such a downgrade
I didn’t watch Earthspark but apparently Keith David voiced Grimlock in it
So, fucking yes
Armada had the most interesting Starscream
Who was completely different from the usual cowardly personality he had
Nice change of pace tbh
Really interesting arc also
I need to see a film about the origins of the dinobots in the Transformers One universe
But we won’t
...then the sequel series fucking reverted his development
Because Paramount fucking sucks
Because fuck you I guess
And don’t know how to advertise shit
And now Paramount owns WB
And went into even more debt so now they’ll make even worse decisions

So yeah I just stop at Armada
Cause the sequel series for Armada is just mid
Ngl
Universal… why didn’t you join the bidding war for W.B.
Also Transformers One not selling well is just sad
They could always sell the nemesis system
Plblame marketing
Although tbf the advertising was
Dogshit
How do you misrepresent a movie that badly
Like genuinely it's actually wild how different the movie is compared to what the advertising tells you
How did they misrepresent it
So badly
I doubt the advertisers even watched it
Like all they had were the clips they used
Because even my dad who generally likes movies based on real events
Liked Transformers One
He doesn't know shit about transformers
God it ended on such an interesting cliffhanger
Fuck
Chris Hemsworth surprised me being as good as Optimus as he was
Was that the one where the trailers were really goofy and made the movie seem really immature?
Yup
And Brian Tyree Henry was fucking phenomenal as Megatron/D-16
Yea, advertising probably just saw "It's an animated movie, market it for the young ones"
I ironically didn't really like his Peter Cullen impersonation.
Literally the main shot they used in the trailers
Tbf
That was a good joke
I’m pretty sure Peter worked with Chris actually
lemme go check again real quick
Yeah he did
But Chris did all the voices
No I was wrong
Chris worked with Cullen to try and get the voice accurate
But yeah I don't think it was that great
It wasn't bad
I just liked his take on Orion Pax better
Because it sounded natural
It is but holy crap don’t put all the comedy bits in the trailer
When’s he matured and wisened
I did love all the cameos of the autobots in the mining group though
But like I just feel like something else would've been better
Arcee, Ironhide, pretty sure Ratchet was there too?
Yeah. I think the saddest part of the movie is the High Guard
Starscream, Shockwave, and Sound wave existed
Steve Buscemi Starscream was something I never knew I needed
Starscream had a bit of characterization that was sort of interesting
But like
Sound wave and Shockwave literally just existed
Shockwave had like two lines
Sentinel Prime tho? Glad to see ||he’s still a rat bastard||
TF1 Sentinel Prime is like
The worst iteration of him
Which is funny
Even in War For Cybetron Zeta Prime (who I consider another Sentinel Prime) was a rat bastard
Like he went from "normal" G1 to "kind of an asshole" Transformers animated and prime to "villain" Michael Bay Movies
And finally
"Literally made up classism for the Cybertronian race"

Like bro introduced
Classism, racism, resource scarcity (energon was freely flowing before this), famine (energon is explicitly lacking), and finally mutilation (taking every miner's cogs from birth)
Honestly one of the most evil dudes in media lmao
He had a checklist and made sure to check every box

And reminder: THIS WAS ADVERTISED AS A KID’S MOVIE

Honestly the most underrated writing choice that I think is interesting is that
Optimus Prime tried to stop Megatron from killing Sentinel Prime not because of some "You'll become just like him"
His reasoning was basically like "We shouldn't start a new government with an execution. We need to put him on trial first."
But Megatron was too angry at Sentinel personally to care about the political ramifications
But also we understand why he's so angry. Anybody would be in his shoes
But also Optimus is fully right that starting off a new government like this doesn't set a good precedent
It's way more interesting this way tbh
Since instead of a question of personal morality. It's closer to "Personal Feelings vs the Bigger Picture"
Both sides are completely understandable on what they want to do
Which makes it all the more tragic
Yeah, you could really feel D-16’s rage and slow slip to becoming Megatron all throughout the movie
Also the fact that they clearly planned for further development
But

sob

Mitosis
So how long until they do a 100% beast wars movie
WAIT IS GREEN STUFF NOT IN PRODUCTION ANYMORE???
One of the big factories and brands
im fact checking myself
its a registered trademark so maybe they are actuially the only manufacturer
there'll be a new version
i want to try tamiya quick type it seems really good
I’m watching of a guy using Apoxie Sculpt to see if it’ll work as a replacement for green stuff
Any of the liquid stuff is shit
Well them my last hour at work was strange
I explained the dangers of cannibalism with my coworkers and then we talked about war crimes
it could be that the new green stuff will be better
Hopefully
cause theyre making it for modeling & hobby speciffically
When I’m done with my Necron army and I begin an IW one I want to start kitbashing
if they make it so its sticky when its soft but can be sanded when dry that would be sick
Bro got that plastic crack addiction. I remember when you bought your first model
You say that but i haven’t bought anything new since January
mainly cause I need to clean my room up and make space so I can begin painting
Listen man your talking about getting a second army. Your addicted
Maybe, but I’m slow as Hell to feeding that addiction lmao
I wonder if they'll make titans a faction in 40k.
They already are
theoretically could someone just deploy a drop-pod on top of a dreadnought to kill it or that would completely obliterate the marines inside of it?
They are the size of a toddler
Entirely doable
Marines would be realistically dead from just a normal drop pod drop
its always explained as "erm the pod has some special safety measures so the people inside dont turned to jelly idk"
using it ot kill a dread Shitdivers style is 👍
Knights also have drop pods that entire castles
Fortresses
Keeps
It's a drop fortresses
🫡
Potato potato
explode
No u
deploys entire castle over you
see? a drop pod

Dropping a Warlord Titan onto a battlefield is like dropping the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs
a pod is something small
so nope
get out
🫡
Warlords are not that big

erhm akshually pods are something small
Yeah but whatever’s near it ain’t gonna have a fun time

Me when building drops on it
Titans when they take one step and the entire leg collapses in on itself
eRm sEe cAsTlE
also titans and knights are just dropped from orbit like
they just let it walk off and it falls?
Dropping it from orbit just to watch it crumble into scrap metal on landing
no lol
they deploy in small building sized structures that use thrusters to slow descent
And the anti-concussion ear
I'm always personal to the idea of a giant jetpack but I know that's not canon
well you see
there is a mention of a titan-sized jump pack waaay back in like
1987
that technically hasnt been retconned
Huh
this message was approved by ComStar (ignore the first year of the war)
👎
Probably will have my knight world be a fan of descent jets
🫡
this stupid fucking art that I love
the dumbass elemental latched onto the black knight
SM drop pods arent small ironically, but they are also made for a whole squad and not a single SM
My favorite OC started as a Mechwarrior character
I drove an APC into a Clanner once
it's like 6 years old but tbf battletech art has always been hit or miss
let me get the Kurita art lmao
😭
🫡
fucking anime ass mech in the center
It's a Hatamoto-Chi
Which is the better Dire Wolf?
yes some variants get katanas...
Red Alert 3 ahh
the melee weapons some mechs get are hilarious
like a longsword
a hatchet
fists with rockets on it
i just love the wide range of designs in battletech
Its some pest or another
Nope
oh fuck
Its literally a Hind-D with legs
I like the Yeoman, but I'm slowly coming around to the Argus.
my fav is the king crab
No idea what those are my experience with Battletech is limted. Didnt even have one in the Mechwarrior campaign
So this is an Argus.
No no, it was skinnier. With no "nose" but just a cockpit
I can't actually think of one like that
And this is the Yeoman.
but there are so many random fucking designs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G88ZTO1RXRs my fav tactic in the battletech universe
Consider supporting my work via Membership or Superthanks!
It is the 31st century and mankind is once again at war...
This animation shows but a tiny snippet of the world of MechWarrior, where gigantic robotic war-machines, known as "Battlemechs", are used to fight interstellar wars.
The "Highlander Burial" refers to a tactic where a super-h...
marauder?
I'm legit trying to find this
His favorite is the Crab btw I remember that'
And he made me a Capellan nationalist
looking through light mechs rn
Ohhhhh
Insert scorpion empire propaganda
Yeah I like this
I LOVE SCORPION EMPIRE!!
Glory to the Capellan Confederation actually
Fuck you eats another micronation
Catapult.
Joints like every other power armor
I'll take your word for it I dont know anything about the setting lole. I just played a character that was so canonically stupid it made sense that I, the player, knew nothing
But especially the armpits no?
There is also the fact that this exists in Battletech.
House Liao ( the capellans ) are so cartoonishly evil
Considering they fucking made a sentient zombie virus and evil AI
BT decided to make both of the Asian inspired factions evil asf
Feels like the armpit is the closest youll be to actual meat
Any joint would do you well but termis are mostly felled with big weapons
Or just like
Any xenos
Terminators only really seem unstoppable if you view it from a human lense
Even then
Just fucking blow him up
Yeah
With what like a tank shot? Plasma?
Plasma, melta, tanks
If it can kill a space marine it'll kill a terminator
Just sometimes you gotta use more
Lol
they're still a very dangerous threats for most xenos even but its that every faction has a "fuck you for your very overpowered thing"
Do the space wolves have wolf helmets for their terminators
no
I still love how much people get mad at Genestealers being able to kill terminators
its always like
"HOW CAN THEY DO THIS, IT MAKES NO SENSE"
like... its a fucking infiltrator not-xenomorph alien vanguard organism idfk how else should it do it? Use a fucking rocket launcher?
😭
I feel like they should. Seeing how chaos terminators have horns.
lets keep the fursona elements on the low

they do have a wolf helmet though
That and wolves priests should he the only ones with wolf helmets.
its reserved for champions iirc
It looks cringe
stop with the stupid fucking wolf helmets lmao
stick to the skulls
They are. But I dont need to be reminded of it MORE
its no different to the stupid eagle faceguards the ultramarines have
Those arent stupid
they look fine lmao
also doesnt look like a shitty lego fursona headpiece
imo they are all stupid
Okay, wolf skull helmets then.
How about right
like the 20 ton underbite the imperial fists have lol
new iront hand!!
Yeah love that guy
traitor IH no less, fucking based
he has the same dumbass metal beard that count noctulas has tho
did not expect traitor guard
always happy to see them
I REALLY like how like random the origin of Huron's dudes are too, it feels really cool compared to the previous titus one where its like
"YES HELLO HERES MR. HEROMAN NO.29102"
@median star can you also check if the corsair faction page has a warlord page like this as well, i wanna see

not my pic just a repost
aight welp, time to go find a PDF this week
may I suggest jumping into a electric eel tank 👀
Average 40k fan.....
The human experience™
Do you think the Tiger Claws Chapter would have had tiger styled helmets before they fell.
what
brain damage i think
Which gang is the least worst
And which gang is just the worst
I'm thinking
The Mox and Scavs
Mox for least, Scavs for most
maelstrom or voodoo for the worst really, idk if you'd count scavs as a unified gang but I could be wrong
mox are prob the least shit
Fair point
This is mostly space marines fans being angry
because for them
I think Scavs count as at least a collective
not a single thing can touch their chuds
Since they all have the same style
Well yeah and its still too many
kill em
chop em
And also a Russian accent
Same people who cry for the uhh
Voodoo boyz actively plan on ending the world and shit
Idk I guess when you join, you immediately get a Russian Accent
space clown things killing custodes
Yeah i legit dont care if people hate Netwatch, i trust them more than fucking VDs lmao
Netwatch is the ONLY corpo I fucking trust
^
this dude had a former wife named Edith Ballin 😭
Tbf the author literally did that by mistake
you cant make this shit up
Bro even admitted it
because they understand what happens if they fuck up beyond "oughhh no mone"
also the argument is like "oh they work for other corpos"
BRO THEY RAE LITERALLY KEEPING THE APOCALYPSE FROM HAPPENING
And Custodes at the time had like
the world fucking collapses
Zero details
yeah it's bad
"Hmmm, we are preventing the world from ending in an AI hellscape. We should use as many resources as possible-"
Netwatch is the least evil corp
"FUCKING CORPO SCUM!"
They’re dickheads
crack skulls
I can understand being apprehensive about working with them but holy shit they're like the only ones who do any amount of real good
I mean even if it wasnt
arent those harlequinns supposed to be extremely op anyways?

Tbf if you had to deal with maintaining a giant AI wall (that is also an AI) to prevent the AIs from murdering everyone
I would be a dick too
The funny part of the blackwall is that it might decide one day it’s bored and wants to do something else

So yknow
It's like being border patrol except on the other side are inhuman things that literally melt your brain at best
Better to hope it becomes one of the AI’s that’s friendly
Also this
It’s not like all rogue AI’s are hostile
Yeah that must not be good existentially
But there’s enough of them that are it’s for everyone’s best interests to stay away from each other
lol
That your only form of defending the entire planet
Delimain is a beyond the blackwall AI btw lol
True but that's not a guarantee
It depends entirely on the Blackwall's feelings and choices
People will say netwatch is evil then help songbird and fucking send someone to super digital hell
So hopefully you got some delicious AI for it to snack on
Tbf, sending someone to hell is funny

Feeding someone’s brain to the blackwall because it’s been a good eldritch being and deserves a treat
You also get a gun that does a similar thing
The VA for that quickhack is insane
Erebus sends them beyond the blackwall
Like genuinely distressing
Canto and songbirds stuff dumps them into the blackwall
So up to you which is more horrifying
I like to imagine that beyond the Blackwall there's just a bunch of rabid AIs
Do you not like the screams of people?
Acting like Shodan or some shit
Smh
And then there's delamain who's like
Tbh the AIs are constantly infighting as well
They can’t agree on wtf they want to do
"I wanna make a taxi service"
There’s also stray engrams

wdym "imagine"
theres literally rabid AIs
^
💀
RABIDs are a danger to both rogue AIs and humans lol
https://youtube.com/shorts/7m7gjz9iXpU?si=ZJMke04zMv5_ZepD hearing someone's soul be torn asunder is not pleasant no
The Most Brutal Move In Cyberpunk 2077
In AI’s they cause massive data corruption
In humans they just fucking kill you
So pick your poison
I know but I kinda view it similar to that one scene where the Lich in Adventure Time shows a bunch of monsters reaching out and screaming
Yeah. Gonna rip your eyeballs off
Nah yours

Either getting your mind mutilated until it’s no longer a mind
Or having your brain fried
Nah yours
Like a rabies infested dog
Awesome
also btw RABIDs are a modified soulkiller
so you won't just die

you'll have your engram torn apart and turned into more RABIDs
after it kills you
Tbh thats a thing i dont really get even tho it enters the philosophical angle
you get to die twice!
Okay so the blackwall
its not like souls exist in cyberpunl do they
Is specifically processing how you got into the blackwall
and it does that by dissecting your neurons
digitally
the Blackwall is self learning
and wants to figure out how you got past it
or into it
Still funny to me arasaka risks their fancy boat to aura farm
Apparently they also resemble Bartmoss himself
and adapt to that
For other AIs its probably a similar situation
if they want to tear you apart for info
for RABIDs its worse
So the last thing you might see is just a bunch of Bartmosses basically tearing your consciousnesses apart
because you get soulkilled -> Having your engram torn apart and mutilated into more RABIDs
and getting soulkilled is already painful
I don't want to know how much having your engram torn apart and turned into more RABIDs
is
but considering how Rogue AIs of all types do not like RABIDs
So they basically kill you painfully, copy you, kill that copy painfully, and then turn the remnants into more RABIDS
I think its a pretty safe bet the process is not pleasant
Nah it's fine
Yes, and that brings up the philosophical question of if RABIDs resemble the original Rogue AI or engramed human being
(no)
Considering they all apparently resemble Bartmoss
No
Bartmoss is a piece of shit lol
I wouldn't want to be human him or the Rogue AI version of him thats literally the net equivelent of grey goo
anyways on the upside RABIDs aren't an issue on the human side of the Blackwall
except when they are
Rogue AI's are infinitely more capable of dealing with them from a fundamental standpoint
Even if RABIDs still consume some Rogue AIs
Dude I had two Cyberpunk RPG/game fans enter a REALLY heated debate regarding what Bartmoss did was right or wrong, one of the mwas going full anarchist/fuck the governemnt lmao
id agree if uh you know
HE DIDNT TRIGGER THE END OF THE WORLD

Bartmoss did it entierly for selfish reasons
which is why I think he can go suck a dick
A smidgen of tomfoolery

he created the RABIDs and prepped the Data Krash because he got fired from his CORPO job
Yeah its the perfect epitome of a "Killdozer" situation imo
people praise that guy having no idea he was a total chud lol
Like Bartmoss's entire manifesto is "I got fired from my job and that fucking sucks so fuck all of you"
he didn't even liberate the Net from corporate control
if anything he consolidated it into a bunch of interconnected Intranets
Which he must have known was going to happen
so the only reasonable explanation he did the Datakrash was because he was an egotistical dickbag who wanted to smash everyone elses toys because he was going to die
He essentially puıshed the clock from 6 to almost 1 minute before midnight
his ripple effect on the world is actually nuts
funny how in 2077 the net has only started resembling
the pre datakrash version
in RED its way more isolated/pocketed/secure
Apparently it was a complete fucking accident.
It was designed to breach all corporate data fortresses and release all their data in the net
"Oops."
We do a little trolling
Anyone here got any advice for the first boss? My teams and I keep getting stomped at the end
No it wasn't
the datakrash wasn't an accident
Ranged enemies during that part have been the thing I struggle most with
Darktide
oh the train station captain
Yep
yeah that one is total RNG with new players lmao
LMAO
Are we talking about Darktide again?
but you want to beat the shit out of him
ASAP
like you need to fucking jump his ass
in melee
Gotcha
Check out the moon bro
But if you're in a 4 stack tell them to bash the dudes skull in
Its hard trying to avoid ranged attacks in that segment while the poxxes are swarming
Jump him
Thats why you wana be in melee with him
Gotcha, ty
My missile is approaching your house
adios redditor
🫡
Discord mod
Discord user
We're both trash
Saying "it was an accident"
when someones plan fundamentally works around releasing a self replicating program designed to kill anyone it encounters and corrupt/assimilate any AI it encounters and destroy all corporate security is fucking dumb
HE KNEW what he was doing
Anyone who does programming knows what you are doing when you make a self replicating program
with no fucking off switch
Netrunners are not cavemen/script kiddies when they make Daemons
using prepackaged ones sure, but if you make one you know exactly what you're doing and creating RABIDs out of soulkiller was a very intentional choice
to kill as many people as possible and to spread as much as possible
it could spread through multiple vectors, netrunners, other daemons, corpo AIs, engrams, rogue AIs
so yeah I think Bartmoss knew what he was doing lol
like if he had made an off switch I would give him some more credibility but he didn't
At least the killdozer dude had the decency to try to not kill random people on purpose and blew his own fucking brains out
LOL
Apparently, there's a shard directly from Rache Bartmoss that communicates otherwise.
Although, judging from Cyberpunk 2020 Firestorm Stormfront, the guy was fucking insane in general.
"The first Net was supposed save us. It would serve as a platform for those without a voice. It would offer unlimited knowledge to those who hungered for it. It would bring a fractured humanity closer together than ever before in our history. But these hopes were hollow. False.
The Net spread its tendrils around the globe faster than anyone could have predicted. Before anyone could even consider the full range of consequences. This "information superhighway" turned out to be our path straight to hell. We were robbed of our privacy, deprived of our free will, stripped of our dignity.
It was supposed to save us, but now even the Net itself cannot be saved. It was molded by the corps, with sharp edges, spikes and traps at every corner. Think of the Net as a stream of water that flows gently into our minds... before freezing, swelling, and destroying us from the inside out. But remember this about ice – as hard as it may be, it's surprisingly brittle. One well-placed strike and it shatters into a million tiny pieces. Watch out today and you'll see just what I mean.
Rache Bartmoss"
Reading about him, he definitely knew what his RABIDS were doing, I do agree with that.
But he had the delusion that he was doing it to destroy the net and save people from the corpos
When in reality, he was pissed about losing his job.
He was also fucking insane.
Probably knew what he was doing but this shit doesn't really strike me as a man who has all of his marbles in place.
Cyberpunk 2020: Firestorm Stormfront (1997)
Page 144
Gonna be honest here, this gives the impression that he probably didn't know the full consequences
But also didn't care about it.
Yes he’s insane and deranged lol
Also apparently this is what he looked like in the net
Bartmoss seems like a guy who'd be delighted he probably completely fucked everything and doomed the planet with the DataKrash
Nihilist making it everyone else's problem? Many such cases!
I feel like he'd be both delighted and disappointed
At the same time
Delighted that he fucked things up so badly
Disappointed due to the fact that the net is now a series of intranets
Just got out of a match. Told the team beforehand to get him in melee asap. They didn't listen. We all died. 😭
Really enjoyed the sorta subplot of Night Corp knowing the Black Wall AIs are going to invade soon and trying to do something to get ready
Since he does seem to be crazy enough to believe that this somehow would've had people turn against the corpos somehow judging from this
That somehow ending the world = total corpo death
So this might be odd to ask, but is the world of cyberpunk doomed?
rip
No
but yes
define world
more specifically
is humankind doomed? yeah probably
Yeah.
is AI kind doomed? no, but yes
Humankind, mankind, the planet earth
The earth will endure
it'll be polluted to shit and near lifeless
but it'll endure
humanity will likely die out
Damn.
AI engrams and AI's will likely live on
Pondsmith wrote the universe to be bleak
"no happy endings in Night City"
ect.
How long would you say the earth of cyberpunk has left before.
Eh
Like, is the end near for everyone on the planet.
assuming the blackwall doesn't collapse and the human hating AIs win or RABIDs don't get out of control
like a few hundred years?
to a thousand years
Everyone being implanted with the neuroport means the rogue AIs are going to kill a bunch of people
If the blackwall collapses and the human hating AIs win against the indifferent/ones that like humans
humanity is fucked
V hitting people with the Erebus SMG? It's gonna be that
if the blackwall collapses and the indifferent/human liking ones win
a large amount of humanity is still going to die
in the ensuing war in the NET
Ultimately rogue AIs aren’t a monolithic group
They’re at war with each other constantly
A weapon using a Rogue AI of the Blackwall captured within it.
It appears to have an eye built-in which watches events, and periodically speaks to the user.
Whatever software it uploads to the targets on hits, it seems to wreck the cyberware and the nervous system.
The screams are akin to a netrunner being fried,
e.g. T-Bug in Konpeki Plaza.
Wor...
Ah.
Is having cyber implants like mandatory in cyberpunk?
There's something with the 2077 era that requires people to get the neuroport? Not sure on what exactly the lore is
Most people go for a neuroport
It’s not a requirement but 99% of the population has them due to convenance
Agents and other alternatives exist still
I feel kind of weird for preferring the 2045 era right now
But the current iteration of Neuroports is way too convienanante to not have
Nah 2045 is more fun rn
2077 isn’t fleshed out enough
A lot of the stuff in 2045 can be inferred to be around in 2077 still
But 2077 lacks a sourcebook at all lol
Any day now, I'm sure
So like paying on your phone is more common than paying by card.
Paying with your brain is more common then paying by phone
More so lol
Most def yeah
Why pull out your agent to pull out a specific app to do something when you can make brain do it
True.
They probably think that's old stone age shit to pay with some hunk of plastic
Tbh it kind of is
But the security issues with neuroports aren’t widely known
Having an agent around in case your neuroport shits itself is still good but why bother
Neuroport better
I think it's either the rogue AIs invade or the dwindling amount of water and farmable land reach a point of no return
Yeah
Having to farm in Alaska and Northern Canada because the climate is so fucked seems uhhh
Not sustainable
Tbh it would be funny if the blackwall fucking fails but the AIs who don’t hate humanity win
And you can't do fishing, because that fucked as well.
You can fish
Just don’t expect the fish to be healthy lol
If it’s not grown on farms
I can remember something about self replicated mines filling the oceans.
So Cargo ships are a no good.
And some insane people live in the ocean still
(Metacorp)
Who are nomads
But also a corp
this sums up fishing during 2077 pretty well I think
LOL
But most shipping is done via flying stuff now
That old World of Darkness art was so good lmao
The UK is probably super fucked in Cyperpunk. We mostly get our fish by stealing it from Iceland.
It’s not that fucked ironically
It’s shitty
There was a 2020 on the UK called Rough Guide to the UK I think
Ah.
And it’s written from an in universe perspective for some parts
Arasaka and Militech competing to be the most evil faceless megacorporation when Pentex and Nuka-Cola enter the room
bolt gun lore totally makes sense right???
Honestly no purely because
It would be too good of a fate
To be extremely nihilistic for a second. It would an end to humanity's pain. From the corporations, the cyberpsychosis, etc.
Honestly, this is gonna sound crazy, but I could see the company from Poppy Playtime being in the world of Darkness.
But I do not believe that it would end
||Turning people into toys.||
True.
It would affect their bottom line
I have never played Poppy's playtime
Tbh I never plan to
But I have read bits of the lore
All I can say is "Orphan murdering is fun!"
It's honestly somehow kinda worse than FNAF lore since I have no idea why somebody would sacrifice a bunch of children to create lifelike toys.
Like at least William firstly stuffed children into suits to hide the bodies
And only found out about the freaky paranormal shit AFTER that
Might be missing something crucial but in general it kinda sounds stupid

Who knows, apparently the original creator has been gone since the 3rd chapter.
Like the video game or the gun in universe lol
So it's being written by the company instead.
The video game the events ingame not really lmao
Ludo narrative dissonance
For the gun in universe it makes sense ish
It’s made for killing orks/as a terror weapon probably
the game lol
Honestly, all I know is about the Orphans and Markiplier having a crash out of it.
The plot of the game is fine
The events gameplay no lmao
But it’s fun so who cares
You are not killing a great unclean one with a bolter

he kills all of the chaos gods by himself 😭
LOL
this guy is a unit
But yeah take the gameplay with a massive pile of salt
But the events of the game do happen
Honestly my headcanon is that it's actually a game in-universe
Like it's the tale of Malum Caedo but exaggerated to shit
Similar to how games like CoD and BF have you play real events
But they're always exaggerated to shit in terms of capability
Because storytelling + gameplay
Idk about you, but if the Nazis had as many grenades as they threw in CoD: WaW
They would've totally been able to win the war

old clip me in me 2016 playing cod waw on veteran, the very game which gave me ptsd of every grenade n grenade symbol/callouts in all games
*I accidentally deleted my original channel losing this vid which originally had 1.1k views rip

I kinda assume this for Darktide's rejects too lmao
yeah boss we definitely killed a couple thousand heretics, trust me!
Honestly I like to assume that it is what actually happens. But it's only for four rejects which happens to be whoever you and your teammates are playing as atm
And because it's the Imperium
Despite the fact that you should have gotten a fucking medal
Your work goes completely unappreciated
And you're still treated like shit
So yes I like to imagine that the rejects did kill like 3 beasts of Nurgle.
It's just that the Imperium generally ignores your efforts somehow

"Boss can we please have a break? I think we killed more cultists than a Space Marine does in a day..."
"What do you mean? You were only sent against a squad."
"A squad? There were fucking 50 heretics waiting to jump us as soon as we got to there! And that was just the beginning."
"Sure, next you're gonna tell me that you fought a Beast of Nurgle."
"WE DID! TWICE!"
"Ha, now I know you're joking. Stop joking otherwise you'll be sent back to death row. Now then, time to go on another mission. You're complaining too much for such simple missions I swear..."
Darktide is just the process of feeding Rejects to the grinder and seeing who has Fate Points the God-Emperor’s Favor
another way: we’re that rare blend of expendable and invulnerable that makes the perfect Suicide Skwad
