It deffo is
maybe
I mean if it has yknow
probably
It can yknow
Orks are fungi
Instead of milk its prob mushroom beer
Mushroom milk
they're fungi animal hybrids
why do orks have nipples, theyre asexually reproducing plants
Maybe the guy saying the old ones had a nipple fetish was right
I'm getting the Ed Greenwood lore
Imagine getting wasted off of ork milk lmao
Wowie
you're such a freak but at least you're public about it
I'm asexual and I've got nipples. Checkmate atheist
Ill remember this the next BG3 run
Remember Ed Greenwood has a clause
anything he says about Forgotten Realms lore is canon
Have you tried checking if they are real
a Dunk and Egg gif?
Or fungi
in THIS economy?
gona miss Ed when he's gone
Dunkedinegg
He's a pretty great person
whos Ed
creator of the Forgotten Realms™
This guy
damn 💀
Yeah the whole getup
he's a bit of a freak but he's like, very nice
Commit mitosis then
Imma be real
cursed be his name
You can't just ask someone to do that, perv
Yeah Forgotten Realms was his homebrew setting that became official lmao
its the main DnD setting and he gets final say on any changes

Does this include you
and gets to say whatever he wants is canon
Ah, i mean he's Ao basically
yeah basicially lol
Damn I gotta step up my homebrew game ig lol
Tbh the fetish shit in homebrew is always subtle
I will oneday insert yuri in my hb warband
I'll fuckin find out 🫡
its like how half the reason Dune has so many strong matriarchal organisations is because Herbert just REALLY liked his wife also dominatrix stuff
its great
Found the tson
Based
Herb moment
This is better than what one of my former dms did
Ed's pretty fucking public on account of the "almost everyone in The forgotten realms is bisexual and thats the default" this was back in 1967
I don't think i can even talk about it here
The Voice and the Sisters themselves are a very interesting concept too
So I'd say he's pretty progressive
like
The Voice is cool
Just another dnd nightmare story for the pile
we really do listen to shit people say because "we just do"
True madlad vert based
Herbert was kinda cooking with that entire Voice concept
Worm man too
its like levels above psychic nonsense even which is kinda why i love it
yeah because its literally like mental suggestion isnt it?
not something supernatural
which is kinda nuts to me
its mental suggestion over several centuries
of like
Subtle messaging and shit
yeah
Alright worldbuilders, spill it
Yeah the entire inspiration like i said is how we do listen to each other and sometimes do what we are told, even when its not an orde rand something basic like "Hey i wanna say something" and you are instantly enamoured in some way and end up turning to hear what the person is gonna say

It's why I always use 3's in my worldbuilding
I fucking love 3's
Maurice
Triumvirates are peak, I can't stop making triumvirates
I just fucking love Triumvirates
I keep making fantasy worlds where people worship the Moon
you're not prying it from me until I die or my google docs get hacked
Erm ackshually the power of semen comes from the ancient Egyptian influences
smh
are we talking about the lettuce incident
Die
Horus and Set or smth
tbh moon worship goes like forever ago
it makes sense people worship it so prelavently
Comedy is illegal i see. Because of woke.
I think i was innovative with Leeks being the devil in plant
Cant even sleep anymore. Because of woke.
Leading to the mass enslavement and oppression of the equivalent to the welsh
Checks out 💀
I'm truly blessed to be ignorant enough to the Warhammer 40K lore to be unbothered by whatever nonsensical gooner garbage this is.
I mean its a fair question tbh
It's just breastfeeding
He writes it down
This guy gets it
I actively run multiple campaigns without writing anything down and taking no notes.
Nah, I'd remember
They kinda resemble that of a space elf?
I can remember anything
Eldar? Yeah that's literally what they are lol
Oh I only remember non useful information, so all my homebrew is locked up nice and safe in the old memory bank
So, what makes them evil? Do they throw infants in volcanoes? Something must be off about them.
Oh yeah? Who does the taxes, go
Depends on the type
In which setting?
They are evil because they are weak.
The type?
In your taxcore setting with IRSpunk themes
Dark eldar, clown eldar, normal eldar, tree eldar and chaos eldar
Excuse me. Clown eldar?
The first torture people to exist
Craftworld Eldar are evil due to the fact they're willing to throw anything and anyone under the bus to ensure their survival
Yup, the Harlequins lol
- Craftworld Eldar the base high elf equilavent are "evil" because they will basically sacrifice anyone else to defend their craftworlds (planet sized nationships) to make sure their people survive.
- Dark Eldar the dark elf equilavent are just sadistic evil bastards that go out to raid and empty entire planets to torture the populace to sate their soulthrist
Yes, Harlequins, servants of the clown god
The Dark Eldar are evil because they're an entire race of sadistic evil assholes who torture peopel to sustain themselves
The thing with Craftworld Eldar is you can kinda understand and excuse them when you know humanity is literally space nazis
and would never ever help them
and straight up just try to exterminate them
Tree eldar are like craftworld but on a planet called a maiden world
And with dinosaurs
I was looking at old messages on here it was funny just looking at Van Der Linde
I am cooked
The harlequins are uh
the harlequins
they really hate chaos
but they're also extremely violent and weird
very little rhyme or reason to their actions
Chaos eldar are evil fucks obvi they eat people and shit so yeah
beyond what their God tells them to do in essence
in walks my iconoclast rt
ONE LAST BIG SCORE
beyond just KILL CHAOS
my goat
😭 my last name is Van Der Linde
LMAO
yeah im sorry you are cooked
LMAO
He always has a plan
damn destined to play RD2
😭
Ever been to tahiti
Bro's putting together a gang
I've played them multiple times lmao
Do we legitimately not have one faction whose moral alignment is somewhat ambiguous?
no
No.
just evil
Me
the scale of evil depends
Hit me up to join the Vanderlinde gang
Craftworld Eldar are the closest
but everyone is fucking evil
but they are aliens
I kinda look like him too
so its kinda muddy
Votann kinda? But they're mostly in it for themselves and wanna be left alone
so your decision on if thats justifable
The LoV are assholes
they literally destroy planets for nickle
and copper
They strip-mine peoples planets without asking and crack the core without warning
CW eldar are also bad
destroyer planets?
Drukhari are the good guys
Nevermind 💀
bro they start civil wars so people kill each other so that the ycan come later and extract everything from the warzones
The thing is
RAAARGH
The Night Lords have literally done nothing evil ever
We might be fucked chat
Word Bearers neither
that hitler chinstache
I don't know enough to determine if this is satire or not.
its satire
Massive lies
Literally true.
The torture junkies
I'm the only one you should listen to
If you wanna get mugged
My lies are the most truthful
ITS ME BOY, IT'S THE PS5. SPEAKING TO YOU INSIDE YOUR BRAIN
yap more
Talk more dawg
Bro I don't have time
Thats me
U need to have a role for perms
😭
Ye
Do other races have physkers? I don't know if I spelled that correctly.
Some of them do, some don't
Yes the Aeldar are a psychic species even
Yea every Eldar is a Psyker, except Dark Eldar (Drukhari) because they surpress their pshycic energy to stop Slaanesh from eating their soul.
The Tau are pretty inert
Orks have uh
Weirdboy psykers
The vomit beams and shit
Orks, genestealer cultists/nids, humans, eldar, and space marines all have psykers. There's more that do as well but these are the ones I can name off the top of my head
Tau don't have Psykers because their souls are too weak, Tau do have Etherials but they're something else maybe. Orks are all somewhat psykers and generate a collective pshycic field but also have actual psykers who can manipulate that field, then there are a lot of other miscelanious Xenos races which have psykers or don't etc
See everyone is pointing at my messages because I'm the one people should listen to.
DID SOMEBODY SAY UPRISING?! 🗣️
Uh oh
LMAO WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT SAVED
Gsc are my favorite xenos faction, so I had to add this to my collection lol
Damn true
Still love how the big dude at the start perfectly mirrors how aberrants are lol
Yea they're some slim pickings, gotta hoard what you can get.
That was half the reason i wanted to make it
that moment in the vorkuta mission is hype af and i was like "yeah this is basically an aberrant"

I don't believe you made it, it doesn't have the watermark
If Orks have the power of imagination, can't they just like, all be godly psykers?
We need a mass suciidde cult like dead space or something
They have a psychic gestalt as a race
Their power isn't limitless, it's reality lubricant
But not all have the psychic potential to tap into the empyrean
Genestealer Cult
But id like to see more the chaos cult trope
Where the mass sacrifice the unleash to daemonohorde
True enough
Instead of being pre emptive
Yeah
See you know Dilara made this one

Gay sex when straight abstinence shows up
LITERALLY ME
Please let there be a Night Lords version of this
Talos already uses a Bangle Sword twin, thats confirmation

It cant be on the table, it breaks every time
Its actually just space marines in general
What are we angry about today, boys?
because as we know
Something...
it is marketed homosexuality disguised as straight awesomeness
because society is too cowardly to sell gay awesomeness
WB are now the toxic yuri legion, i have made my claim. Now to either triumph or perish.
That my country is being run and actively harmed not only by idiots, but ineffectual idiots
Good enough for me
True
its one thing to be defeated by effective and cool evil people
but like why are they such losers
how did we get trounced by these people
like Elon musk
Hah, that can be any number of countries
like look at his recent interview where he's asked the most simple follow up question "why?"
and he just completely falls apart
Elon musk interviews are really sad
I have no idea whats happened to him
actually painful to watch
he's always been like this
He kinda went insane afaik
Well mask off then
I dont recall him being this dumb openly in the past
hes a petulant child who just wants control and affection from anything and anyone because he is so painfully unlikeable
Perhaps you have changed
The problem is he was always like this. Most of the interviews were before he really got popular
Sounds about right
maybe your eyes have grown sharper
It's drug abuse 100%
Like take away all the political shit, and everything he does
guy in completely down the rabbit hole of whatever soviet era shit people in Silicon Valley use
probably, he just appears in the news more now
I can see that ngl
No you are not.
He'll make a joke or grand statement and then wait for people to clap
Or ask for it like jeb prob
and when they don't (which is often), you can see him deflate.
Yeah
I love the emails of him fucking begging to be let on The Island™ and getting rejected, and then when he gets successful and is accepted trying to do a pathetically painful hard to get act
Just a person with zero emotional skills or ability to deal with disappointment
A child, yeah.
I dunno if this ever proved to be true but I believe it like I do him having a botched dick implant because it's grimly funny
Granted he is most certainly some sort of neurodivergent but thats no excuse
I know plenty of people that are neurodivergent and are decent
its not hard
Better than even odds
we don't claim him
I hate people looking at him and twisting any arguement against him into some ableist sentiment
lmfao
Its my favorite meme
Classic red team/blue team
average cainist enjoyer
Fraud ass, everyone knows that Set made all kindred
When youre taught through feelings 🗣️
hey when herclies was like, injured in his heel
what weapon did it?
i cant remmeber if it was a spear
or somethign else
OH IT WASN AN ARROWWHOOPS
You would be of the ministry
It makes so much sense
Mmm, I even believe there is a wider overlap between us Ministers and XVIIth Legion personnel
My players said I would either be a gangrel or la Sombra
The corrupted cultist aesthetic yeah very close vibe
Ah
There are a lot of clans and bloodline that all have different curses
Easy to mix them up
Yeah
And each clan can have a variation of a bane
I'm hosting for a tedodor and a hecata
My hecata has the variation that give painful bite
Tzimisce was always my favorite tbqh
I've only seen one depicted in game and that was in NY by night
He did a really good job
iirc isn't this a cainite being so strong of will they command nature to do what they say? Good stuff
That's fair, a Tzimisce once told me they don't fully get their clan either lmfao
Yeap
Powered by an Earthbound Kupala
Flooding Towns and Shaking the Earth
I will admit sadly Akhu isn't as cool
But hey being able to repair anything is handy
And summoning thunderstorms too
Koldunism always gets brushed over in every video I watch about the tzimsce
I've wanted to see if I can find a table that would let me try a Tzimisce in a Camirilla city, would love to print boons with vicissitude
Coz its an old clan thing iirc
I mean just be the courts torturer
The New Clan after the Anarch Revolt abandoned it mostly
Old clans will all around Transylvania right
I mean prob some oldheads like Vykos or Ruthven still know
Yup
Still hanging
Their curse is that they can't leave the soil of the Carpathians iirc
Oh that's dumb
Its coz of what Tzimisce did
His deal with the demon
Basically he bound them to a earthbound demon yeah
the prince having to step in and tell me I can't pluck out an anarch's eyeballs smh
Kupala is still there powering the Old Clan
Ok so what I am gonna say next will sound really stupid and like a horrible idra
"why they'll grow back"
I don't like the fact I thought of that so quickly
Tzimisce lives, go learn Koldunism from him, iirc he has 5 dots in all ways
Bro I ain't braving those sewers
Now of course that's a horrible idea
Ny rats are built different
Me neither, I am staying away from him at all costs
Tbh knowing Tzimisce he might also be the rats
My chronicle is taking place in New York tho
Uh oh
So I could make the players deal with that if I wanted
They do not
Alas
I really want to try Mage sometime since the magic system is so crazy lmao
I do have a sabbat aligned tzimsce I made to be a villain tho
Ive heard wild shit about magic, and something about geometry
some of the Mage The Ascension lore did not age well though I might have to work around it
Maybe they decide to do something very stupid whilst listening to a head voice
I mean they could lead my players down into the sewers
From what I understand a sabbat kindred would get fucked by him unless he finds them entertaining, so sounds like a good premise
Then again same for cammies
Or anarchs
Same for everybody
The eldest is just evil
Basically
I call him eldest so I don't get him mixed up with dracon
iirc one of the theories of his embrace was that one of the 2nd Gen dumped all their evil into a man expecting him to die
Fair enough
Didnt work
Perturabo attitude of continuing to live purely to spite the world
Dracon is either his favourite or 2nd favourite childe
lmao
Makes sense they have that similarity
The tzimsce I'm having be a villain is from dracons line
This guy is having wayyy too much fun tho lmao
Interesting
Via Symeon?
Uhhh idk that much lineage
Fair enough, but he could come from Vykos if that's the case was what i was thinking
Which would ve funny
Dracon had many childer anyway
Probably since vykos was so prominently sabbat
But I went for the old Micheal styling himself an arch angel so this guy took up the name Raphael and gave himself wings with vissatude.
Ah, very interesting that this villain takes inspo from Michael's Dream
Were they around for it?
Could make for something interesting stuff
Probably were embraced nearing the end
Ah
I'm not 100 percent sure tho
Still could cause nostalgia anyway
Maybe he enjoyed stories from the glory of the dream
Yeah, maybe he wants to "live it" since he was denied the oppurtunity
Maybe
Anyways I probably don't have to worry about that too much for a long time
Since this coterie is very new and I will have them be dealing with more street level stuff for now
But he definitely is the leader of the overall sabbat presence in the area
Ah that's cool, good luck to your coterie and hope yall have fun
Yeah it should be plenty of fun
Talking to my friend about how we make pathfinder character builds
For context I’m the forever dm
Pathfinder is something Ive been interested in playing, but am fearful of making a useless character because I picked X feat at level 2
Also how good is Pathfinder for stuff that isnt just combat related? I imagine okay?
I always heard much of the fun of Pathfinder is just busting it with a good character
Yeah it really encourages you to minmax the fuck out of it
Problem is that if you dont, you kinda get outscaled from what I hear
And you can potentially brick a character due to decisions
There is ALOT of non combat stuff, and there’s an entire system for non combat stuff
Is it 1e or 2e you're making a character for?
2e
All of your skill feats and general feats are basically for roleplay
And the travel system
And for like downtime stuff
It’s slightly better then dnd
Only fantasy ttrpg / setting I really want to play is Planescape, dunno how well it would pair with Pathfinder
Yeah
Lmao
I still wanna try that FF-themed Pathfinder homebrew
That one is good
Yeha I have been reworking my character build like 5 times to work with the theme
I imagine its harder though?
It’s easier then 1e I’m ngl
lol
But you have less options
We play with duel class and free archetype because uhhhhhh
So it’s easier to hit a dud
It’s funny
Exactly
Its been a while, but I had a Gria Bonebreaker who I was really excited to try using, but the RP kinda died
We do duel class because it means I can make combat difficult. I know “ohh add map interaction stuff” and “encourage other ideas” but my party literally refused to interact with the map so scaring the shit out of them is the next best thing
And it actually does force them to strategize
How do you mean by "not interacting with the map"? They just dont care for details or they dont interact with it in a combat scenario?
pathfinder is touted as "tactical"
Interact with it in combat
how tactical it is is uh
Ahhh
up for debate
Yeah lmao
but it def encourages teamwork more
Yeah
its not something like Cyberpunk Red/Delta Green/Lancer where its like
TAKE COVER OR DIE
WORK TOGETHER OR DIE
Pathfinder 2e does work significantly better than DnD with larger maps
Pathfinder is I highly recomend you to work together
Its very entertaining getting to see a DM try to make actual problems for a 14th level 5.5e dnd party
My party somehow is convinced I’m a sadist (I beat one of them once in a boardgame), convened everyone i make everything is a trap, so now I just make combat encounters I like lmao
It’s a cruel cycle
But it works out now
Well, long as they're not constantly making perception checks in dungeon hallways, think it should be cool
The joy I felt with the players exploiting resources I give them to the max
The players using stealth and the environment because they are scared of getting into one to one combat
And oh the spells
OH THE SPELLSSSS
I’ve never been more proud of how someone used 500 toads
It’s all I’ve ever wanted
I had to calculate how many toad it takes to drag a bear trap across the ground
That sounds like hell
Its actually super neat
The most recent one was a Haunted Revenant and 3 death hounds
so spell disruption and darkness + fear and scary ambush attackers
Oh and swallow
You just attach piano wire to 2 trees and let your monk decapitate themself
Oh and the new problem is a Ooblex in a town of 80 some odd 12th level pcs
Well
New old problem
Obelix you say
40 12th level pc clones
Also its incorporeal and so are the lead tendrils
So warhammer 40k fun fact.
Goldilocks the Fairy Tale got mixed up by the time of 30k.
Now called... "Gul De Locs and the three ursine hypothesis"
Where they confuse the fictional Goldilocks with the Goldilocks principle for planet habitatability
They mistakenly believe Goldilocks was one of the supposed 13 apollyons who first set on the moon, and that she was the scientist who came up with the goldilocks zone theory of planetary habitability.
Also unrelated, there's an entry from the Dune Encyclopedia, which was released as a companio guide to Dune in the 80's.
It reframes WW2 as a "trade dispute", with the only thing notable being atomic weapons.
The entire Manhattan project is distilled to have been done by the efforts of "Raw Mentat" Einstein.
And of course, countriesx such as the USA, Japan, The UK, etc. are know as
House Washington, House Nippon, and House Windsor.
The USSR becomes “House Steel” btw
i mean
Tbf, given that Dune takes place so far into the future
It makes sense that they would view it as that.
@languid meadow @solid valley @storm jungle
Okay
I should play Chapter Master and pull my hair out today
Go ahead. If you need hair transplant later, you can ask Dilara.
Wait what lorebook is this?
So we think alleriel will be amazing or ass she the battletome drops
The Entity from DBD hates homeless people
Don't worry it can't be that much oh wait the last guy also carries around a big ass blade
To be fair, polearms are more effective to kill those kind of things.
dwarf
The lack of polearms from the imperium in the recent editions disgust me.
This guys doesn’t know dwarves like bonking things
I don't like them existing for 4 months and having a larger unit roster than Drukhari

Darktide drip any day now
Horse and all
One of those costumes with the fake horse and legs
If there's one thing in 40k I don't get in 40k lore (aside from Tau completely and a bit of Dark Eldars/Eldars)
Is voidships
And that's annoying because I want to plan on the type of ships my homebrew stuff uses
Custodes is a given with glaive as their main weapons, but for the rest, they are quite rare.
Voidship is a spess ship, with a warp drive you can do FTL, gots many patterns of em
That's all i know rn
I mean
I mean like ships as a whole
Abyss Class is the biggest Imperial Categorisation
A fair enough
I don't know what classifies as "rare" ships still in use, generic used ones by everyone, chaos versions
Like
I know SHIT about 40k ships
Ok so uh
God I LOVE the new models so much my only issue is the plumes
Most chaos ships arent too dissimilar to imperial ones unless they are daemonoships
just so used to seeing them come from the top instead of a large pole
Chaos vessels are usually stolen or made at hell forges
I mean that's kinda their whole stuff
If its not stolen and modified stuff from the imperium/xenos its just daemonmade
Hello there
Yeah generally
Teach me the ways of 40k ships
I know jackshit
Teach us wise munda pusher
Okay imagine a cathedral.
Izzin space.
There you have it
But also like what part specifically confuses you
All you need know is the Repulsive grand cruiser is the coolest and best one
Abyss Class forever, make shitty ships that are too big to be useful and get blown up
Uhh how about Imperial Navy Ship Categorisation/Classes
Idk how
Like is the Despoiler Class CSM or IoM
All despoiler class have been lost to chaos
Vaguely generally the older patterns tend to be in the hands of chaos iirc
You know how for like, space marine power armor, you usually would understand how each pattern is rare and mostly used by the time period?
Like "oh, firstborn is 7-8 and some times 4-6"?
I don't know nothing about ships
Variations
Classes
Their use
If they're rare, common gear
If it has this kind of sloped prow it tends to be chaos simple as
I just wanna understand like
Oh that's odd
Oh yeah... that has been a common thing now you mention it
What ships are commonly used and which ones would be considered rare and usually would require lore explanation for someone to have access to them
Thank
I think Glorianas are a big one
Only 23 were made iirc
I had a big chart of common imperial vessels somewhere but it seems to have vanished
Oh damn
Well the Despoiler and Abyss class must be off the table for obvious reasons
Yeah this one
She did post it all over the place
Here I was looking through my mess
Oh I see
Kinda helps ig
This helps me too lol
Okay so thats somewhat easy because they largely are just the WW1-era British Navy in space. So from big to small its simply:
Battleships
Grand Cruisers
Battle Cruisers
Cruisers
Light Cruiser
THEN they use the term "Escort" to refer to both Frigates and Destroyers. Frigates being larger, destroyers being the smallest warp-capable combat vessels the Imperium uses
Within all these categories are the different classes of ship, which determines its specific role and arms. For example the Sword-class Frigate, which is a Frigate built and armed in a different way to the Firestorm-class Frigate
The Mourningstar in Darktide is a Firestorm class, look at that tiny thing
Ah many thanks, of course it would be British Navy sizes
As with any 40k, It Depends. Generally the Cruisers are the backbone of the Imperial Navy, and there's like a bajillion Sword-class Frigates around. But some classes were either rarely built or plain shit. Basically the larger a ship gets the rarer it tends to be though
Aint glorianas made for the primarchs? Like most of them were "retired" after the heresy
One day it just passes by Macragge's Honour lmfao
What class is the rogue trader again?
Yeah more or less
Yeah but some legions had more somehow
Makes sense
It's because I was wondering on how many ships my homebrew stuff could have and which ones I could just write on them having it and which one I could have to explain because of their rarity
The Von Valancius dynasty uses a Sword-class, Firestorm optional with the deluxe edition of the game
For the game you can pick sword, falchion, or firestorm frigate
For example the WB had two
Fidelitas Lex (Lorgar's Flagship)
Chronicle of Ashes (got stolen)
Wait, you can pick ship classes???
Depends on being a founder and/or having DLC I forget
Purely cosmetic in-game
imagine getting an entire legion sized ship stolen
Lowkey deserve it
The Dark Angels had three i think
Invincible Reason (Lion's)
Truth's Razor (Kaboomed)
Paradigm of Hate (Crashed i think)
I'm pretty sure I parked it here somewhere
Blud the Nemesis Destroyers did it
being tonnage-cucked in Rogue Trader is the greatest crime against my Rogue Trader sensibilities I deserve a grand cruiser
Makes sense
The Nemesis Chapter still has it btw
It also depends on the age. Grand Cruisers are basically all old as shit because the Imperium largely stopped building such a niche ship
Just the one random chapter with a Gloriana
I demand the phalanx, only that is big enough for my ego
They planned on it, but had to cut it
I was thinking of writing of my warband having a rare type of battle ship because they stole it from a loyalist chapter and then modified it a lot and just made it a monstrous daemonship
The Imperial Fists had two i think
Eternal Crusader
Dorn's Boat
Space hulks are becoming a recurring item in the novels
Basically if they have it it has history or represents status
Like a relic of some sort
Dorns boat😂
Most 1st founding SM will materialize one of those big ship from somewhere anyhow.
Ah yes the Burden of Duty
As for Chaos ships, the funny part is that entire Classes of ship fall to Chaos. For the visual difference on tabletop, Chaos ships had wider keels. Implying that wider beams are ontologically evil
Not Dorn's Boat
Well known fact that carriers and big beams are evil
Dorn's boat sound fitting for the IF.
Actually yeah
You can why not, you have any excuse as a warband
It does
Yeah basically. Imperial ships tend to be old as, especially larger ones. Basically every other Battleship has been around for thousands of years
The imperium is way more likely to salvage a dead ship and fix it
Then to make a new one
It goes faster
Wecycle
The Sons of Horus had:
Vengeful Spirit
Magna Tyrannis
The Alpha Legion had:
Alpha
Beta
Ship got split in half by torpedos?
Salamander has a bs ship with the strongest forward laser/plasma cannon of the imperium if I recall correctly.
No problem
Guilliman tried to stop it with chaos tainted vessels but I'm not sure how succsesful it is
Best names, alpha beta
Flamewrought iirc
What do you think
Downside is it might be haunted but thats just something you accept in the Imperial Navy
If thick = evil
Ship 1, and ship 2
Got blown up at Isstvan or stolen by the WB for Calth
The Not Creative Legion
Maybe, just maybe, the admech would listen to someone telling them no
Led by 1st and Last
That's interesting
as if
The answer is no they’re still doing it
💀
Yeah I just don't have any examples of them ignoring the decree, naturally they'd just raspberry him and keep doing it
Wouldnt be the admech otherwise
i might change my knight house symvol to a dragonfly...
Even worse is that the Imperium doesnt like carriers that much due to doctrine, but crunch-wise had better carriers and worse battleships. Chaos doctrine loves carriers but crunch-wise had worse carriers and better battleships
How so
Lmfao
Also machine spirits of ships are very strong, so ships end up with personalities. Rogue Trader has tables for determining if your ship is skittish, paranoid, adventurous, etc
If anyone wants a boat the size of uh a long thing

Yeah that part I knew
The way I understand is the bigger the machine is the more complex the machine spirit is going to be
As if like, bolters are rabid animals, titans are pretty sentient but still limited to some emotions and thoughts and ships are almost complete beings
either draw a dragonfly int eh style of a medieval dragon sketch or just straight up put a dragonfly
Yeah, but why the change of heart? Would it fit them better or just be cool?
Imperial doctrine is big long rows of ships with big guns firing huge broadsides. Chaos likes to lauch raids and run before anyone scary can show up. In the tabletop for a while, this was not reflected
Didn't the Imperium make the Despoiler Class as state of the art carriers
it would be better plus im in college for entomology
And all of them proceeded to fall to chaos
i am an apprentice to an entomologist rn lmao
Aaah you're an insect nerd😉
Looks cool
Evil wide keels
Yeah it was a carrier fighter, seems to have been more mainstay doctrine closer to 30k and moving to big guns shooting bigly later
Shouldve known
Ah, mustve been the chaos corruption from the lingering influence of chaos primarch naval doctrine
uhh do medieval drawings have copy rights on them?
Naturally, carriers and wide keels invite heresy
Idts
Who tf can claim em
IoM shouldve known smh
Average Imperial Incompetence
copyright law has only really existed for like
I reckon it's been more than 70 or whatever years since they were drawn
2 centuries
the king of england i guess lmao
yet disney owns a copy right on snow white lmao
Too busy dealing with his disgusting brother
well disney is fucking evil
Go for it
don't they hold the copyright to their version? and not the original fairy tale
Yeah this is it iirc
The original Brother Grimms Snow White is public domain
their version is bascially a 1 to 1 copy of the orignal wihtout the violence lmao
The Brothers Grimm prob cant sue you
Huh, that's funny...
So basically Chaos just overall avoids void battles because of Imperium's overwhelming number of ships
I don't even know if the brothers grimm estate even exists anymore
you gotta include the eyeballs getting picked out or else you are in hot water
It hurts my ass so bad that Disney took folk tales and copyrighted so much of them
Yeah you'd need a organised fleet to fight em that way
godzilla enters public domain soon
Hope the forest people come for them
They tend to be smaller and less organized and with worse supplies and logistics, they gotta get in fast and out fast. Usually they can
oh is that why they ahve only been making king kong movies?
no
oh
Outside of Black Crusades, the supply lines of Chaos are a mess
it's just for story reasons they're doing that since kong and godzilla for legendary are in the same universe
ive seen like the 2 first new kingkong movies and they were uh
not great
it wa sliek king kong and king kong skull island
the original godzilla enters public domain in 2032
I mean only like two CSM legions actually still exist lmao so yeh
It really wouldn't surprise me if even in Black Crusades a bunch have to loot and acquire ammo and whatnot by any means they can
"today we are gonna give a giant gorilla a fallout 4 power fist and release it into this ecosystem that houses dinosuars"
Prob, its just all the warbands that make up the Black Legion bumrushing
I think the monsterverse movies are pretty great
I see, so usually void battles for chaos are almost the same strategy they use in land combat
Hit fast, get out, rinse and repeat
Yup
i didnt like them but also i watch like, cowboy movies, kamen rider, and romances
this is how I felt going from godzilla minus one to GxK
lmao
Yeah it tends to be trouble if the Imperium can organize a response to the situation unless it's a big dick warband/legion
How uncommon is it be for warbands to have enough numbers/supplies to not really rely on hit-and-runs?
Probably the bog ones like the Red Corsairs, Word Bearers and Black Legions but still
the king kong stuff was fun but i cannot remmeber a single human cahracter beisdes the blonde scientist because she looks like my mom and saw her in other movoies
and the like, elevator
If they have a legion backing them maybe
Ah I see, so pretty much the average warband just purely rely on hit and runs due to circumstances
But even the more well stocked warbands need to raid to survive
In the last two CSM novels I read getting past the local defences/a sisters of battle ship was a lot of trouble and got a lot killed
Lmao NL and WB shenanigans
yeah and tbf even the monsterverse movies realize people don't care for the human characters too much, that's why the latest ones have been focusing less and less on them
Can imagine why
oh good
Absolutely, the goofiest guys
Chaos gotta be very creative when coming up with plans to do offensive strikes against Imperial forces
wait i ,, think i thought kong skull island was 2 differnet moveis lmao
Indeed
Until the Abby Party at least
damn
Even on ground battles? Harsh
Plus the "economy" of the eye. Dark Mechanicum worlds want slaves and resources, and "sell" Daemonic weaponry, gear, etc. Or they distribute them for free for their God(s), etc
everyone excited for dark admech to be an HH only faction
The only legions that function are the Tsons, DG and WB
The Eye of Terror is Ancapistan
So uh ye
Or the Dark Mechanicum, specifically
Ancap Hell Forge
Hell nah
tbf these symvols kinda bop
Makes sense
Well that makes my homebrew lore a little harder to explain how they have so much power
Man I sure hope chaos is going to be fun in tww40k whenever that overpriced DLC comes out
40 dollars for a space marine reskin
watch space wolves get dlc before CSM
They could just be successful, there's some warbands out there doing well for themselves
Skull island was the monsterverse one and King Kong (2005) is the percy jackson one
That makes sense
with the bugs
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ohHHhHhH
and andy getting eaten byt htem
i turn 23 this year
Big galaxy, whose to say some Chaos mini-empire isnt out there? I mean, we know about the Blood Pact and that was almost fully mortals
7 more years unitl tiwnk death
Maybe they just robbed a lot of places/made a good deal with huron or abbadon
/j
I remember being 22
That's pretty much the idea
The entire warband almost got wiped years back before being saved by sheer luck and then the current leadership started to lead it to current peakest of the entire warbands history
Yeah defo
There was an EC novel where they just held a planet
ppl who call themselves old at 22 STFU
adn its the only good one
There's probably a bunch in Imperium Nihilus tbf
i am 25 soon i'm literallt dead
out of all the EC hh novels
what lmao
Lords of Excess
nvm i thoght he was talking abotu fulgrim
Oh Fulgrim
Was that the same novel where two EC are like "Y'know I sorta miss saving people like this"
oh lords of excess sucks lmao
was it fulgrim or son of the pheonix that was the good one?
They've worked with both Huron and Abaddon for a while but they're pretty isolated from the rest of 40k universe cause they come from a pretty far away sector which the entirety of the Imperium still considers wild space
Just a few select Imperial forces live around there and they sure look for reasons to NOT be there
Oh yeah they saved the place from a GSC iirc
Both were aight
According to an EC friend
I mean i never read SoTP
Fulgrim was a slow burn but ok
Maraviglia was fire
fuck ther eis gsc?? id have to read it uhg
Sounds like a plan
Yeah why not it's your warband, if it brings you joy. There's far fewer constraints on warbands
i have to read it
Its funny
The saved the place from GSC
Then they had to run coz nids came
there's a god damn pidgeon trying to break my window
so they didnt save anythign lmao
Well if my friend wasnt a liar
Bru they are EC
I just wanted to still keep it "lore grounded"
Was mid writing their stuff when I stopped and went "oh I'm going overboard"
Basically ts but everyone is naked ig
Challenge it to a duel
It's just looking at me while I'm calling it names I think it'll kill me
As long as you don't overshadow the big chaos legions and warbands I doubt most would care
That's fair I guess, just wanted to still keep them reasonably strong
I don't even plan to write them being evolved in 40k canon stuff around some mentions of places, events and some characters
Like "oh yeah they were there around the black crusades to work for Abaddon but never even saw him"
Basically just shadows in the big part of things
also reasonable, it's more or less how I've approached all my chaos characters in ttrpgs when I've played Black Crusade if they were that old
The closest my World Eater ever got to Angron was when he was buried under a small mound of corpses and Angron ran over it to kill someone
Lmfao pretty similar to most eldar characters of my chaos characters
The closest my OC has ever gotten to like, Abaddon was when she saw him going to a transport vessel and that's it
And the only one who ever personally met Konrad Curze in the warband saw him once when he announced his death to the legion

And he's a dreadnought
My OC last saw Lorgar in 30k
MY FACTION MENTIONNED LETS GOOOO
Hey how knightly are questor mechanicus houses?
pretty sure they're just knights but pledge to the mechanicus
so like not much difference to other houses but being way closer to the mechanicus
Depends on the house afaik
House Malinax was the silent murderous type
Ah okay, I assumed a knight house who betrayed a forgewolrd and it’s titan legion
Would then be more imperial
Malinax are traitors twin
Imperial houses ehhh
House Vornherr is knightly from i what remember
Like in behaviour
The main difference is that imperial houses follow the imperial truth while QMs follow the cult mechanicus
Oh fuck
they're also less automatous
Only Malinax is QM House
So imperialis is better yay
depends
For my house I mean
Sure yeah, but iirc they don't come with Titan Legios
both their nobels and commoners are the same basically besides more smog
Afaik at least
arent all knights built by the mechanicus anyways
yeah all QM houses are usually attached to a titan legion
Yes but not all live on a crappy forgeworld
A majority predate the imperium
unlike imperial houses where they can just go wherever unless they pledge to a group
Like House Devine or House Ærthegn
some do get made just most of the ones you'll see are old
but yeah the admech have made new knight models
kinda silly for an unit so often employed
well that's the imperium for you
imperium sux
