Psykers are innate powers. They don't need a ritual, they can just... do it due to them already being connected with the warp.

The reason why Psykers use spells is mainly just for visualization and control. Technically, they could just do fucking whatever, but that costs more energy and attracts more daemons to gnaw at their head.

In short, it's easier to imagine and then manipulate the warp to allow you to shoot a fireball.

Versus... summoning a warp train to run your enemy over.
