TLDR The Chapter used to be The Forbearers, they were Blood Angels, they suddenly stopped developing the Black Rage and couldn't figure out why, Chapter Master called everyone back to their Home World to discuss it, two camps formed, Camp A "We've been forgiven by Sanguinius because we are worthy", Camp B "We've been forgotten by Sanguinius because we failed him" World gets engulfed in Warp Storm cutting them off from outside, Chapter Master gets assassinated and the two camps turn on eachother. Camp B lose and flee into the Warp Storm where they eventually find their way back to the Imperium, report their failing and pledge themselves to a Penitent Crusade as "The Forgotten", Camp A stay on their world and go down the rabbit hole becoming "The Forgiven" declaring their own fiefdom and raiding and expanding around themselves believing themselves to be divinely chosen.

My homebrew is a salamanders successor as well. The Sea Farers were started by a librarian from the salamanders as a way to try and provide outreach to civilian worlds that likely wouldn't be able to receive help from the imperium otherwise. The chapter is pirate themed due to its homeword being mostly made up of oceans, with the inhabitants' culture being largely based around this.

They often steal xeno tech and repurpose it into imperial gear as well, and they have a pact with an explorator fleet to facilitate this

Their main specialty is naval and aerial combat

When I did my clinicals they passed off the worst guy to me and he literally wouldnt stop sexually harassing every woman that worked there. I had to straight up go from "Sir please stop talking" to just me and a Nurse straight up saying "You need to shut up so we can take your vitals"

But then someone came in and asked if I wanted to hold someone down while they gave her a shot she didnt want so, silver linings
