I am such a scrooge when it comes to social media. I am forced to use snapchat because all of my mates use it. It is literally everything that i despise about social media all put into one app. The most pointless and juvenile app ive ever used. Its a perfect conduit for crime in the UK as well because apparently the government is too busy forcing me to give my ID to companies to care about crime on snapchat lol.

At least i can still VPN my way around, until those get outlawed

One last thing about snapchat. You know how its main thing is that messages you send get deleted after viewing? I always thought that those messages still stay on their back end. Nope. They are gone for good. So if you have some bad people that do bad things through snapchat, all the information they have exchanged using snapchat is instantly wiped. So police have no way to recover it.
