I played the old FFG Black Crusade TTRPG a bit. I always thought about a Plague Marine character who was in some ways the opposite of the usual Plague Marine; inside his armor he's a dessicated corpse, almost a mummy or a skeleton, and he absorbs moisture like a sponge. The air around him gets dry and coarse and he pollutes any water source he comes in contact with with wasting sicknesses

At one point him and the Word Bearers are riding in a dropship of some variety down to a planet and the ride's being rough and Marduk momentarily worries he might lose his possessed tech-priest to mere turbulence before he can get use out of him, and he looks over and this big bastard has his mechanical legs maglocked to the deck and each of his servo arms clamped around the inside of the ship and Marduk is like
